no point. all the multiplats are on PC, and the non-PC multiplats are ported to next gen or are only slightly worse on PS3, a system that's more reliable and has better exclusives as well as some multiplats not on 360 (mostly japanese stuff)
I just bought an rgh 360 to play alot of the stuff I missed out on. Sure, there is emulation but some games don't run at all with xenia etc, I also don't want to bother with some of the games that are ported to pc because I know it's going to be a hassle to get them ro run.
>has better exclusives
like what? little big planet? uncharted? resistance? I've played all of them and still own my ps3 and most of the exclusives aren't what people praise them to be
there's a lot of japanese stuff that are either exclusives or stuff that's not on 360.
the 360 has less exclusives. mostly only Halo and GoW. and no, "best versions of multiplats" is not an exclusive.
only point for the 360 is that it's STILL the best way to play OG Xbox games outside the OG Xbox. the One/Series is only BC with 63 OG Xbox games and Xenia still sucks
>there's a lot of japanese stuff that are either exclusives or stuff that's not on 360.
name them. I'm genuinely curious. I'm aware of ni no kuni, white knight chronicles 1&2, the port of eternal sonata that added more content, demon souls etc.
No More Heroes has a Japan-only 360 version. It doesn't have some of the extra content the international PS3 version got, but it runs leagues better and is generally more fun to play because of it.
Rule of thumb is that it's better on PC or fine on PS3 if a PC version is not available. And devs started giving more of a shit after the PS3 Slim saved the reputation of the console so most multiplats from 2009-onward were pretty much the same.
Stop with this fricking meme, the PS3 is fricking terrible. have a nice day. The 360 has exclusives on it STILL and you're fat fricking homosexual for simply ignoring them.
360 has hits such as Brown Military Shooter 1, Brown Military Shooter 2, First Person Alien Shooter: Trilogy, and uh... Banjo Kazooie: Bolts & Nuts
and who could forget about Kinect Adventure, Kinect Family Adventure, Kinect Pro Adventure, Kinect Adventure 2 and Forza: Motorsport 4: Now with partial Kinect support
you better hurry up. the store front is closing at the end of june, meaning all digital only games will no longer be able to be purchased. also lots of dlc for disc games as well
But maybe if the Xbox 360 is no longer supported then a softmod will be revealed? I softmodded my OG Xbox a few years ago and was able to fill a IDE HDD with games and their DLC and updates myself. Somebody might have already figured out a way to sofmod the 360 but hasn't revealed it yet so Microsoft doesn't patch out the exploit with an update.
When I borrowed my friend's while he was moving houses, I would for the first time in years, sit down in the living room to play through a campagin. I played halo 3, I played GoW 1, I played the darkness 2. I remembered why i fell in love with games at all.
The best thing that came of the 360's existence is that the 360 controller ran natively with a ton of PC games. Shitty third party gamepad options (or lack of) and bad keyboard controls were a huge issue for a lot of ports before the 7th gen. Aside from that I'm not sure if anyone is in a hurry to make an emulator for just Viva Piñata or whatever few games are still locked to 360
You should unironically look into getting an Xbox One X for 360 games. Got mine for 60€ and some of the 360 games like RDR1 have been patched to run at 4k and at better performance. There’s also the 360 store shutting down shortly. Make a list of games you want to play and check that if they work on a Xbone, if not just get the 360.
I have 20ish 360 games and the only ones that weren’t supported were Akai Katana, Forza Motorsport 4 and NFS Most Wanted, the last being the only real loss. It depends 100% on what games you actually play, as the rest play much better. As for the games themselves being downloads, I can understand the longevity argument. But currently it’s just a faster way to install the games, spinning discs are still much slower than first world internet.
You can't use the 360 games bought on 360. You need to buy them again on One/Series. Microsoft needs to transfer the games which are BC
I have over 300 OG and 360 titles, all digital for One X and never bought a 360 for that. I use a hacked PS3 instead
>You can't use the 360 games bought on 360
Why are you a lying moron? There is a shit ton of awful news you can use to crap on Xbox right now but instead you choose make something up lol.
>You can't use the 360 games bought on 360
Yes you can, digital or physical. It makes you download the physical games instead of installing from the disc, that is all.
What's shutting down??
Explain better, pal: the store is closing? So even if I fix my broken (not op) x360 I won't be able to redownload any of the games I purchased back then? Even xbox live indie games??
the store is shutting down soon, this july i believe. you can still download xbla games if you bought it before the shut down iirc, someone correct me if im wrong.
This change will not affect your ability to play Xbox 360 games or DLC you have already purchased. Xbox 360 game content previously purchased will still be available to play , not only the Xbox 360 console but also Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S devices via backward compatibility.
emulation still sucks, so yes playing ogxbox games on 360 is still the best way to play them, besides actually playing them on the original hardware that is
you have a ton of games to choose from
of course it is worth going back to 360 games
best thing about it is, xenias compatibility is pretty okay, you can fully play the bigger games and UE3 games like halo and gears without any issues
and some of the well received console exclusive games of that era have been ported to PC by this point
lastly, dont forget that the Xbox 360 is home to epilogue dlcs for a dozen games >tomb raider underworld >prince of persia >asuras wrath
just to name a few
>dont forget that the Xbox 360 is home to epilogue dlcs for a dozen games >>tomb raider underworld
of persia
wrath
Those are all backwards compatible on Xbox SeX and you can still buy them on the current Xbox store. You don't need a 360 for those.
On the very same boat here!!! Got a busted one but for the love of me can't find time to fix it.
So many gems you can only play there pal.
For me anon it's that 4-player Simpsons arcade game (runs on ps3 and emus, too), Afterburner and my xblig favorites: Mama's son and Miner: Dig deep. This is what made this console so damn special.
40% is damn wild. So many gems locked to a failing platform is too damn much. Heck even my x360 controllers both busted on the very same week some years ago and I didn't even play the console in a hardcore way.... damn talk about unreliable. Best controller ever btw
Do your own homework. This anon posted all of the games, it's up to you to have taste.

Yes, absolutely. Xbox + ps2 and 360 + ps3 covers everything you'll ever need. I actually think Xbox has great exclusives (I dont give a frick what was ported or remastered im not touching modern consoles or pc), I usually play multiplats on Xbox simply because I hate the ps controller
no point. all the multiplats are on PC, and the non-PC multiplats are ported to next gen or are only slightly worse on PS3, a system that's more reliable and has better exclusives as well as some multiplats not on 360 (mostly japanese stuff)

I know Rune Factory:Tides of Destiny and No More Heroes. they're PS3/Wii multiplats but not 360. I'm sure there are some games like that
No More Heroes has a Japan-only 360 version. It doesn't have some of the extra content the international PS3 version got, but it runs leagues better and is generally more fun to play because of it.
metric frick-tonne of shmups like mushi
>I've played all of them and still own my ps3 and most of the exclusives aren't what people praise them to be
And yet you're shilling the 360 lmao
>20 yrs old console
>online service is getting shut down soon
>somehow talking about it is shilling
Your next post was gonna be some "Xbox ecosystem" shit about how Series Sex plays 360 games
>slightly worse
Rule of thumb is that it's better on PC or fine on PS3 if a PC version is not available. And devs started giving more of a shit after the PS3 Slim saved the reputation of the console so most multiplats from 2009-onward were pretty much the same.
minus really terrible ones like Bayonetta or RDR1 most multiplats were like 10% worse on the PS3
also I don't see people shitting on the PS2 for having 2x worse multiplats than the Xbox as much as the PS3 having 10% worse multiplats
Xbox sux cox
yeah, slightly
Stop with this fricking meme, the PS3 is fricking terrible. have a nice day. The 360 has exclusives on it STILL and you're fat fricking homosexual for simply ignoring them.
>PS3 is fricking terrible
Oh but Fat Princess and White Knight chronicles are soooo good pal..!
>The 360 has exclusives on it STILL
Only Last Odyssey
>Last
Way more actually, but keep coping.
360 has hits such as Brown Military Shooter 1, Brown Military Shooter 2, First Person Alien Shooter: Trilogy, and uh... Banjo Kazooie: Bolts & Nuts
and who could forget about Kinect Adventure, Kinect Family Adventure, Kinect Pro Adventure, Kinect Adventure 2 and Forza: Motorsport 4: Now with partial Kinect support
>all of this seethe
what seethe?
its not terrible but its not as good as it hyped up to be
True, you're right but I got irritated by how many people hype it up and then list shit like Uncharted or Motorstorm...
Viva Pinata
Gears of war trilogy
Jackie Chan
No idea if you can play these on xbone or series, as I haven't bought an xbawks since the 360.
You'll wanna mod your 360 if you're planning to play with it, the digital store is getting shut down in like a month
modding a 360 is harder than a PS4 or switch even. not worth it.
its fine, im mostly playing singleplayer games anyway
you better hurry up. the store front is closing at the end of june, meaning all digital only games will no longer be able to be purchased. also lots of dlc for disc games as well

Black folk like to forget that the 360 had pgr4 which is effectively the last great racing game and that shit is fricked on xenia
>Black folk like to forget that the 360 had pgr4 which is effectively the last great racing game and that shit is fricked on xenia
fuuuuuuuuuck ur right
anon arguing with another anon that he thinks is me.
When I borrowed my friend's while he was moving houses, I would for the first time in years, sit down in the living room to play through a campagin. I played halo 3, I played GoW 1, I played the darkness 2. I remembered why i fell in love with games at all.
a good game and two shitty dudebro games reminded you of why you fell in love with games?
>You must consoom le jrpg asiatic game like yakuza on piss3!
How about nah, moron.
(you)
Xbox 360 is almost 20 years old and its emulation is still shit. What went wrong...
1. unironically, not enough autistic passion for it
2. whomst?
Why is that dude’s hair so frizzy?
you are a homosexual
Why are you gay

only 1/3 of 360 games are supported and not natively. you have to download the games.

Yes you can? I bought the orange box on my 360 before it was delisted and the game appears in my series x library.
>You can't use the 360 games bought on 360

is the 360 a good way to play OG XBox games?
>muh One/Series
only plays 63 out of 1000 OG Xbox games
for some, its a bit too spotty imo and couple that with the unreliability of the 360...
emulation still sucks, so yes playing ogxbox games on 360 is still the best way to play them, besides actually playing them on the original hardware that is

same, man. I'll probably just shell out my wagebuxs and send it a store to fix it.
No Xbox 360 market is gone. Xbone plays like 90% of those games so that's be the way to go. Plus they have improved performance
>90%
if only, theres a lots of games, about maybe 40% of een the 360 library works on the bone
40% is damn wild. So many gems locked to a failing platform is too damn much. Heck even my x360 controllers both busted on the very same week some years ago and I didn't even play the console in a hardcore way.... damn talk about unreliable. Best controller ever btw
Quick, name 5 amazing masterpieces you can only play on the Xbox 360 - apart from PGR4
Do your own homework. This anon posted all of the games, it's up to you to have taste.
ho lee fuk great pic, saved! thanks

Very based anon. The only issue is that these are dying fast and maintenance is a b***h.
