>Hordecucks have their "epic moment" of entering an oversized mud hut with some sticks and shit >meanwhile allychads immediately fell in love with the game upon witnessing a classic high fantasy citadel adorned with statues of heroes known from previous games, a sight which immediately brings epic works like LOTR to mind
Yeah, we "missed out" lmao
Stormwind got repaired around MoP but they left the smoking crater where the park used to be because blizzard is lazy and hates alliance
They replaced the park with a monument in Legion finally.
Also Cata Orgrimmar is fugly, Stormwind got the better revamp even if part of it was in ruins for like 5 fricking years.
i did this at level 8 for training to use weapon but when i got there the trainer said i needed to be level 10 (the guide said there was no req)
i quit forever
>The echos of Arthas voice in the throne room + the tomb >The lifts and the bad ass Abomination guards >The awesome massive FP tunnel >the cool bank ran by ghosts >the sewer design in general >the bridges and the destinct memorable four sections plus the fun NPC's training their skills >Having bats as mounts >the mindslave girl and the leper gnome >The Apothacarium >the extra tunnel which you can use to leave >Sylvanas chamber and the build up to seeing her plus all the elite Deathguard + Battlemasters in one place >The chad wienerroach vendor
The map is dogshit at conveying how the inner hub area works due to it being multi-layered. I played horde forever and I still can never tell where the frick the elevators are.
Now that the dust has settled can we all agree that the worst and most soulless "cities" were the stupid shrines in MoP? Literally just a fricking staircase and a few rooms, and even though they were separate the alliance and horde versions were just copy/paste.
When I tried Legion I couldn't do anything in Dalaran because it ran at like 1fps on my laptop due to lag from the PVP in the sewer. I just stopped playing day one and never tried playing again because I assumed Blizzard would never fix it.
I've played Horde for 85% of my playtime but Stormwind will always feel like the best city. Canals, proper quarters and neighborhoods, a harbor, an inner keep, the works.
Orcs were humanized too much in the RTS and the MMO, through Thrall, the Orcs are simply giant human barbarians with tusks and different skin colors and wiry hair. Lord of the Rings orcs were demons, and in the beginning of Warcraft they were also demons till they "de-demoned" them like an exorcism and they became humans. Warcraft is also for black people, so much so it became racist against white people (this is an evil thing), like if you are wearing Nike Air or Reeboks then "that is our professional black athlete's stuff that means you using our black stuff." Sep they won't say it, they instead will just compliment you for wearing them because they don't want to lose money. They can be patted on the back for giving us good shoes and good barbarians back in the day, but gay dragons and Larian pedophiles going to prison is all RPGs look like now. And yes they will go to jail/burn in hell - look I know you're like right in the middle of trying to celebrate your fantasies of thinking you are going to legalize pedophilia and pedophiles are going to finally come out of the closets after all the 10 year olds are addicted to sex from grooming, but it's all canceled and you are going to hell. Nice talkin.
Orgrimmar felt like shit until the Cataclysm rework. Before then it was basically Durotar with fences. Stormwind felt like an actual zone separated from Elywynn Forest.
if Silvermoon wasn't empty the whole time it could've been the best horde city for sure. It probably needed at a lvl 70 dungeon or daily quests. It was just there for the paladin quest trainer and the flight to zul'aman sadly
Horde and the orcs are terrorists who ride camels, live in mud huts, kill people, blow peoples homes with bombs and enslave people. Meanwhile alliance make wonders like ironforge and stormwind.
tbc is when everything went downhill. arenas instead of world pvp, more push on daily quests, killing 40 man raids for smaller raids which lead to cliques and loot distribution issues for guilds, etc.
nobody did open world pvp shit unless you were getting arena points for gear or massive amounts of honor from battlegrounds farming. resilience meant you cant just world pvp in pve gear anymore. the game forced a treadmill because resilience was king of pvp.
I missed out on classic but the experience on private servers was amazing. The English speaking world vs the Chinese on I think Light's Hope was an experience I'll probably never be able to recreate.
it was full of bots, private server gays tweaking out, and bugs and problems that shouldnt have happened because they used warlords of draenor engine instead of the 2005 client.
it's not a city but probably the comfiest village in wow and i played on a private server back then to try out 280% flying and you started in that village and could buy all the stuff from vendors it was so comfy holy shit
>zug zug mud huts, bare dirt, lazily stacked rocks, piles of sticks on fire
You could grab some sub-saharan African who'd never left the wilderness in his life and even he wouldn't be impressed by Org.
I'm still butthurt about Blizzard designing two actual cities for horde and alliance in WoD but then just not fricking using them and having the capitals be these fricking tent campgrounds on some bumfrick island instead.
It's more epic walking there as part of a raid.
being low level and having 0 experience in the game makes it way better
Yeah, being low level and raiding makes you feel fricking epic killing all the high leveled orcs hanging around the city.
Walking across the bridge to Stormwind was 1000x the better experience.
>Hordecucks have their "epic moment" of entering an oversized mud hut with some sticks and shit
>meanwhile allychads immediately fell in love with the game upon witnessing a classic high fantasy citadel adorned with statues of heroes known from previous games, a sight which immediately brings epic works like LOTR to mind
Yeah, we "missed out" lmao
didn't know you can call a maze a city
>He actually got lost in Stormwind
50 iq city design worse than something built by orcs
homie how the frick do you get lost in SW? Just press M and it clearly shows where to go.
im a horde player mate but stormwind still sucks
>hordebrains to moronic to navigate anything that isn't just a pigsty.
based
cringe
simple as
at least post Ironforge you homosexual
I can hear it
I quit in Legeion, but is SW still fricked up by Deathwing, meanwhile Org got turned into a steel fortress?
the cata orgrimmar look and music is just depressing af
Stormwind got repaired around MoP but they left the smoking crater where the park used to be because blizzard is lazy and hates alliance
They replaced the park with a monument in Legion finally.
Also Cata Orgrimmar is fugly, Stormwind got the better revamp even if part of it was in ruins for like 5 fricking years.
SW got fixed
i did this at level 8 for training to use weapon but when i got there the trainer said i needed to be level 10 (the guide said there was no req)
i quit forever
I'll never forgive Blizz for making the two worst cities in the game the faction capitals for the rest of all time.
Every single city in the game sucks dick except Dalaran.
>Just a circle and a bunch of vendorshops crammed into every street
>only remotely cool thing is...a fountain and i guess the Horde inn looks nice
Dalaran was pathetic and perfectly shows how the game got lazier and worse over time in contrast to the massive cities of Org and SW
Even Undercity mogs the frick out of Dalaran just for it's scale alone and how they had to prune it back much like Ironforge was too big
dont forgot the flighpath out of undercity which is such a unique idea
>The echos of Arthas voice in the throne room + the tomb

Undercity is pure kino and imo the best city
the silvermoon portal is kino too
Dalaran fricking sucks. It's like a themepark town.
true morons get lost in undercity
UC and IF are literally just rings. You'd have to have iq of a goldfish to get lost.
The map is dogshit at conveying how the inner hub area works due to it being multi-layered. I played horde forever and I still can never tell where the frick the elevators are.
he Abominations are always at elevator entrances
Ring of Valor is completely forgotten and 90% of the classic community doesnt even know it exists inside of orgrimmar sad
How many people actually stuck with one faction? I remember making a character of every single race at some point on both factions.
Alliance has ironforge and the deeprun tram
Is this what coping looks like? Entering Stormwind for the first time cannot be topped, both in visuals and especially music.
Ironically the best city is the newest one even though the game is wet dogshit.
only real-life npcs play alliance
no shoes
Now that the dust has settled can we all agree that the worst and most soulless "cities" were the stupid shrines in MoP? Literally just a fricking staircase and a few rooms, and even though they were separate the alliance and horde versions were just copy/paste.
No. The worst was the one in Shitterlands.
the worst city of all time was in legion
How the frick is Dal the worst?
sorry i meant wod

looks good, terrible layout thoughbeit
thunder bluff mogs cause everything is in the main bluff
Thunder Bluff is peak comfy.
>tfw wowbabbys reminiscing on some bullshit while true ffxi chads rememberin that first trip to jueno
lmao'ing at your life
frick off irrelevant troony
>Trying to pretend Stormwind and Orgrimmar aren't iconic cities instantly recognisable even by non MMOplayers
In contrast, you went to...jewnose? I'm sorry what?
Horde and the orcs are terrorists who ride camels, live in mud huts, kill people, blow peoples homes with bombs and enslave people. Meanwhile alliance make wonders like ironforge and stormwind.
Orcs dropped nuke on japan(Theramore)
Don't mind me, just being the best and comfiest zone in all of WoW's lifespan.
the only zone in wotlk that feels like a classic wow zone
Grizzly Hills for me
I thought the quests in here were annoying as frick. Boring Tundra is way better gameplay-wise.
Always liked the look of Stormwind way more. Orgrimmar just doesn't do it for me. Alliance has always had a better aesthetic anyway.
Stormwind is by far better
I like Exodar because you can mount anywhere inside there. Only problem is the Bank and AH suck (and are basically the only places you can't mount)
>zoomie alliance gays prefer stormwind over the maximum KINO capital
Blizzard has been programming alliance players into thinking Stormwind was the hangout ever since Cata, it's hard to blame them.
Meh, you didn't miss out. Classic was a sub-par private server experience with a price tag. You really thought you did but you didn't.
Probably doesn't help that the only portal to Ironforge now is in Boralus Harbor.
I really fricking regret not playing classic wow when it came out
missing out on classic ok, but missing out on burning crusade is a yikes
tbc is when everything went downhill. arenas instead of world pvp, more push on daily quests, killing 40 man raids for smaller raids which lead to cliques and loot distribution issues for guilds, etc.
daily quests and open world pvp objectives = open world pvp

even in tbc classic there was tons of world pvp lol idk you probably played on a dead server
scrubs and bots doing whatever. its not definitely not the ideal or fun experience.
I missed out on classic but the experience on private servers was amazing. The English speaking world vs the Chinese on I think Light's Hope was an experience I'll probably never be able to recreate.

>Excited at the prospect of Blackrock Depths becoming a city
>It's literally just the anvil room blocked off inexplicably by boulders
I'm still butthurt about Blizzard designing two actual cities for horde and alliance in WoD but then just not fricking using them and having the capitals be these fricking tent campgrounds on some bumfrick island instead.
