FF7 fans got burned by the stupid time jannies and general lack of restraint exhibited by CBU1 these days.
Casual normalgays liked Remake well enough but they got their fill of the "FF7 Remake" concept four years ago and are not interested in a sequel four years later and then a second sequel three years from now. They've moved on to newer and better things.

On a related note, most people barely play the games they buy. A large number of casuals would only have nostalgia for Midgar.
I remember a full decade ago, maybe even longer ago than that, that someone at Bioware said the reason they were cutting back on player choice and multiple routes was because their data showed that most players never finished their games even once, let alone multiple times, so it's a waste of resources to make your game good when the average player will never take notice.
Black person, you have the evidence in pretty much every game released in the past decade. Most games have a solid first act, then a meh second one and then a shit last one. Why do you think that is?
Look at any list of achievements, particularly ones that have simple progress achievements. You'll see some early achievements that can't be avoided at about 90%. That missing 10% are people that bought the game on sale and started it once. Even from that starting 90%, you'll quickly drop to sub 50% for things that are about 1/3 of the way into the game.

Free copies and deep sales screw with those rates.
Easy accounted for by picking an achievement slightly past the tutorial area and using that as the base line of "people that actually played the game".
Even then, people that buy games and never put them in their console still count as sales.
Kek that's probably the actual price it's valued at for its budget, but Sega loves scamming its consumers.
They totally made bank with P3R btw. Rebirth didn't even make its budget back.
amazon has the best return policy anon
you could literally buy a PS5 and rebirth right now, play it and finish it within 29 days, and return both for a full refund
or just the game if you already have a ps5. this is not breaking any rules or laws btw. amazons return policy is kino.
t. bought a laptop, decided i wasnt going to keep it, tried returning it after 2 weeks, but they wrote return by the end of may (90 day return window for this item for some reason) so i'm borrowing it for a while
It's not really double. The game costs 70-80 euros, depending on where you look, and for additional 10 you get a nice steelbook, a CD with selected tracks, and art book. Those things are worth 10 euros if you ask me, but the game itself is expensive. Fricking 80 euros.
Compare that to SMT V Vengenace which is 49 euros in preorders.
Oh. In Australia its $110 for the game only and $170 for the deluxe edition. Your 10% extra seems much more reasonable than the 60% price difference here.
No PC release.
While releasing on more platforms would certainly help, let's not pretend that the PC audience would have gone mad for Rebirth.

Source?

Kinda flimsy source there.

Plenty of games I've looked at achievements have a 50% completion rate.

Neat. It went from being obscenely overpriced to just disgustingly overpriced.
meanwhile:
HOLY RENT FREE
OBSESSED
What are you doing in every FF thread schizo?
Rebirth is the lowest selling FF in the entire franchise. It also fell off Japanese charts six weeks after release.
>Game that expects you to play relatively casually
>Not on Switch
What did Atlus/Sega mean by this?
No Switch?
No buy.
switch will come when nintendo releases their next console and it will cost $70 and stay at $70 for ever because nintedo shit doesnt drop in price.
I recommend grabbing the PS4 version. It probably had less copies printed and it comes with a free PS5 upgrade.
Don't reply to Larry, he's going to post more bait crap.
It's $1 on gamepass and I still haven't bothered. I'll check out P4R but until then they have nothing of value to offer
Kek that's probably the actual price it's valued at for its budget, but Sega loves scamming its consumers.

People forget Persona wasn't selling a million copies in a week before 5.
>Only 20%
I got FFXIII for half price and FFXV for 15 dollars a month after release. I'm not buying Rebirth until it's at most $30.
>20% off on some random Scandinavian website 2 months after release
IT’S OVER
>Finns
>Scandinavian
Got me excited there.
Out of principle I'm not spending £70 on a game. It's unreasonable.
£70??
Holy shit, I thought $70 burger bux was a lot for a game.
Yup. Shits fricked.

The absolute state of SE.
Larry already seething ITT
obsessed schizo
I used to hate PC elitists until PS5 released and was a 30fps console that was impossible to get for 2 years, that's when I became one.
>FF16 sold more
>FF16 scored higher
YoshiP won
I buyed mine for 90 eurobucks, because it was De Luxe.
But I got an additional steelbook, not just the one in the box.
I dont get why the deluxe version is like double the price and all you get is a different case.
