still the worst in the franchise

No, but it's definitely one that exemplifies many of the worst aspects which the series fell down to.

        >No Awards
Excuse me, what about Best Action/Adventure over RE4, Alan Woke 2 and Spider-Man, all who were also in the GOTY category?

Only reason it won is because Baldur's Gate 3 wasn't there to eat Ubislop Zelda's lunch.

Fair enough, because BG is an RPG. As an Action/Adventure game, it won best of the year.

TotK is buried under awards though?

But it's not buried under THE GAME AWARD awards.

          Yeah, but like everyone's watching.

GamesCom is the biggest gaming event on the planet. You would know that if you knew anything about video games. GTA doesn't mean anything to anyone but Americans.

TotK is still the highest rated game of the year worldwide. Sorry but you need to stay mad.

I like the Fire Sanctuary. It feels large and sprawling (even if it's linear like most of the game) but it loses points for having a rematch Ghirahim as the boss.

It made me get rid of the brain worm that thought every Zelda was the best game. Like it just unplugged me from the mind virus, so thank you skyward sword for sucking so bad that I could no longer lie to myself

I'm never touching that shit again
its the only Zelda game I've played, on the original Wii and it was genuinely awful so I never touched the series again

I like it. It's a very middle of the road Zelda for me. I'll take SS's almost oppressive linearity and deliberate design over open world garbage any day. Great dungeons, great OST, good story after the introduction is over, and f-n.

Played it and it made me realize how wrong I was about Skyward Sword. Controls are goofy with motion, first two dungeons are shit, after that, the story and quality of dungeons picks way up. Music's fantastic, world is actually very vibrant. Was a very enjoyable experience after how mediocre BotW and TotK were to play.

      >quality of dungeons picks way up
i still don't get why everyone is hyping the sandship. it's one of the most bland and ugliest dungeons with a shitty boss. the only decent ones in ss are Mining Facility and Ancient Cistern

It mangles its execution excessively despite starting from excellent premises every time.
The sky is empty and flying is underutilized.
Making everything a dungeon is a slog.
It doesn't have content appropriate to its runtime and will frequently retread areas and bosses.
It's an EoL Wii title and doesn't have the good grace to have good motion controls, even the remaster "fixing" them just reveals how shallow they are.
The aesthetics of everything except for the environments are shit.
Every game with right-handed Link has sucked so far, I would blame TP but at least that still had the GC version, SS seems to have made it definitive.

It's one of the few 3D dungeons that assumes the player possesses basic object permanence, not quite on the level of providing you with more than one small key per door, but getting there.

Not anymore when Tears of the No Awards exists

Toasting of the kebab may just be an attempt to reimplement cut content (A lot of which was cut for time, but also I assume quality, given how much the exposition can drag), but it's still better than Skyward Sword.

It's mostly fun except the repeating fights against the imprisioned. The motion controls works pretty good but if you don't like motion controls at all you won't like the game as playing with the analogs suck even more.

Starts slow and is WAY too easy, but it improves. Solid OST, just wish Hero Modr was unlocked immediately. Even then it's still easy but at least I can feel threatened in some fights.
