Can you kh gays just stop acting like your toddler series is in any way comparable to FF? Keep your my little pony tier series for yourself. None else cares
Source? Nomura was open about not developing Verum Rex till KH4 is finished, the co-director literally said "We aren't big enough to make two AAA games, so we choose KH4 first".
The game had a three-year development plan from September 2013 till 2016 (later delayed by 2 months). I remember an early Tabata interview where he said the money Square gave him was not enough and he went to ask for more. Square in 2013 was weird fricks who thought consoles and AAA games would die and that the cloud and mobile games were going to take over, so they didn't have much faith and slashed all their AAA games budgets, Deus Ex, Just Cause..etc
The moment he left around September 2013, the board immediately canceled the XV trilogy and made it into the 7R remake Trilogy. Some anon found a LinkedIn of some Japanese dev who worked on a 7Remake prototype all the way back in December 2013.
>Even though Wada had his faults, he didn't want to remake FF7. He went on record saying this
This is funny because he was the one who told devs to "exploit" ff7 by creating the compilation
But who knows, it is not like he was a good president
Yes, the graphics are amazing but the color hues they chose are dull to the point of unreality. Like, the sunlight shining through a leaf should be bright green, not the gray-beige-green they chose.
It's just so frustrating. The game has the potential of something great, but they wasted it so hard.
I wish those hackers who hit capcom and nintendo would do square next and leak the source/tools so we could finish this shit properly.
I've actually been to Venice. Big differences >Venetian water is a murky green >no waterfalls >the houses are much less aesthetic in general, 95% of buildings are old brick houses >the infrastructure is much more mundane, its really a normal city with rivers instead of roads, nothing like the Altissian bar surrounded by water under a building
Imagine the fricking noise living in that city. Or the constant salty air corroding everything. Or the water constantly eroding away at the buildings. How many people die in water-related accidents?
IIRC it looks fine in-game, only that you spend 10 minutes there and you're on a railroad basically, just more glimpses of what FFXV could have been if SE would not be constantly moronic.
FFXV is the most disappointing game I've ever played and Altissia stands as a monument to its hubris.
All those man hours, all that beautiful design, the masterfully crafted texturework, modeling, art and conception, completely wasted on a minor 20 minute location that immediately gets blown the frick up.
And then most of the game looks like a fricking 2002 shooter.
FFXV is still one of the most beautiful games I've ever played but it's also for the most part one of the ugliest in every sense of the word.
It is interesting how we can notice how it was a "stolen" project
It feels like a lot of characters and locations are only there because they had to use it somehow
There is no coherence to that game
>It feels like a lot of characters and locations are only there because they had to use it somehow
yeah, when the game goes FFXIII levels of linear, it feels like we jumped from set piece to set piece to that boring ass chapter 13 dungeon, to the empty set piece known as the final "dungeon" that you have to pay $15 to properly explore.
The shit in red? All that you explore in the base game
It is like the best example of creative shift that i saw in recent years
You can easily see how someone took this project and had to find ways to use its elements somehow
Even the fricking timeskip in the last hour of that game is so lame
Literally not the the theme of Altissia but by that point i wasn't even surprised. Slap some generic gondola music on. What a fricking waste of everything that game was.
I knew before release because of all the cross promotion items, that is never a good sign.
I suspected it during the intro, i knew it after the first zone and i was done after titan. Funny moment: "yeah we're going to Altissia!", theme plays for 12 seconds, silent car ride to the harbor. The frick was that about. Put the fricking music in the game.
The chocobo riding in FFXV is the best it's ever been, it feels really good, it's fu un. It's gud.
I actually love my experience with Final Fantasy 15
It is not like i hate FFXV
But im glad that at least they gave players plenty of interactions with your party in that game
If not i dont really know if that game would have anything remarkable at all
People can remember this game about just roaming around with bros, not how it is a mess
>silent car ride to the harbor
I bought the CDs of past FF games so those played whenever I did the car but there was like no music outside of the car and I could never find the portable MP3 player
>Sorry for your tastes.
he's like this in every XV thread. "It's a good game... just because it is" everytime someone rightfully complains about XV
They could have at least played the whole valse if they weren't going to put the theme in the city for whatever reason.
The only thing the game's good for anyway is taking on hunt bills and camping around. You know what if anyone is currently on the fence about playing this one i have mantra for you:
Frick Lunafreya, frick your father, frick the kingdom, i'm going camping with my friends.
You want to know what happens next in the story, a game's supposed to be finished right? But not this game. Repeat these words to yourself as you play.
>Frick Lunafreya, frick your father, frick the kingdom, i'm going camping with my friends.
Yeah, I think in my 80 hours of playing the game, I spent like 50ish just farting around doing side stuff
That map is the best example of why open world doesnt work on ff
It will make the game look like it happens on a island, not a continent
The fact of them having to thow away that map when the story actually develops tells you how it is not possible to make a FF game true open world
>tells you how it is not possible to make a FF game true open world
according to YoshiP if XVI was to be a truly open word it would take FIFTEEN YEARS to make

true
Damn, the potential for this game was insane. Too bad I played it in 2016 and ot was so unfinished.
same, I played from Christmas 2016 to Feb 2017 and seeing XV now, I wish I waited until Royal Edition came out.
Hell, I don't really pre-order AAA games anymore after how Early Access XV was and having to pay to get out of Early Access

>Yeah, I think in my 80 hours of playing the game, I spent like 50ish just farting around doing side stuff
There is a reason why 70% of the reason why people remember this game is just about running with your bros, not a single plot point
The other 30% is them killing noctis to make you feel things by the end
Don't respond to ESL-kun. This entire thread is just him samegayging.
It is like the best example of creative shift that i saw in recent years
You can easily see how someone took this project and had to find ways to use its elements somehow
Even the fricking timeskip in the last hour of that game is so lame
Everything about the game feels weird. There's so much empty space and only 2 cities (Insomnia and Lestallum) on the entire continent, the story happens in some random nondescript places until Altissia, which was already lifted from the 2013 trailer. The driving feels limiting, the combat is bad...
That map is the best example of why open world doesnt work on ff
It will make the game look like it happens on a island, not a continent
The fact of them having to thow away that map when the story actually develops tells you how it is not possible to make a FF game true open world
I think that Openworld works perfectly with Final Fantasy
And FF15 is, actually, one of the most enjoyable Final Fantasy games also thanks to the openworld aspect of the game
Have you heard Ifrit bosstheme Hellfire?
It is peak yoko shimomura going wild
Imagine if it was used with an actual relevance to its plot
Not a random corrupted summon
I laughed when yoko shimomura low-key trashed the XV team for using a really emotional theme she worked really hard on, on the Platinum Demo when you are leaving carbuncular.
?t=1239
Then you got Luna singing it for some reason, the game is fricking mess.
Man this must suck for her
We know how she gives a lot of herself in nomura projects
Even more when this one was supposed to be his second child together with KH
Is anyone else buying Forspoken? I'm getting in hopes it might a derivate of XV in some way, the only shot LS has from me since this feels like it got its fair share of development.
It looks like a mess to me
The fact of how that game was going to be released in 2 months but we know basically nothing about it besides that its protagonist runs like sonic is crazy
The first trailer is Nomura's BS, but looking at FF7R and KH3, I can see it reaching those levels in some way, even if it was heavily scripted. The second one is absolute bullshit, almost a year before release, and none of it made any sense or made it in the game for that matter. You just know the story had many rewrites based on what had to be cut in middle production to meet the deadline. Looking back at it, it makes sense that Luna's abuse backstory was completely cut, which would explain her lack of screen time.

Remember anons, at least you're not B A R R Y
Especially if you explore the main game version, and the Episode Ignis version
Imagine with just 2 years of full production
So much empty space. This game needs to be remade so badly.
Let's hope Nomura doesn't frick it up with Verum Rex and KH4
Nope
FF15 is good as it is now
Can you kh gays just stop acting like your toddler series is in any way comparable to FF? Keep your my little pony tier series for yourself. None else cares
If Rebirth is coming 2024 and KH4 is coming in 2025 then Verum Rex isn't coming till like 2027 earliest my dudes.
This is interesting because there is rumors and they are contracting people to work on this new ip of CBU1 ever since 2018 or 2019
Source? Nomura was open about not developing Verum Rex till KH4 is finished, the co-director literally said "We aren't big enough to make two AAA games, so we choose KH4 first".
True
Damn, the potential for this game was insane. Too bad I played it in 2016 and ot was so unfinished.
Actually, Final Fantasy 15 it was a great game, and a great experience, since the DayOne.
And you can always play the Royal Edition even now, if you want
god damn it hurts so bad
we could've gotten this
The game had a three-year development plan from September 2013 till 2016 (later delayed by 2 months). If im remembering right it was just yoichi wada leave that the company started releasing games again
Even though Wada had his faults, he didn't want to remake FF7. He went on record saying this
https://www.vg247.com/wada-final-fantasy-vii-remake-would-kill-franchise
The moment he left around September 2013, the board immediately canceled the XV trilogy and made it into the 7R remake Trilogy. Some anon found a LinkedIn of some Japanese dev who worked on a 7Remake prototype all the way back in December 2013.

Ugh the color scene is just so dull. Like, the real world is more vibrant than that. Everything in 15 looks like an old photo.
I think it is mostly because it uses a different engine
Hair is also very different in ffxv
Final Fantasy 15 graphics is amazing even today
Yes, the graphics are amazing but the color hues they chose are dull to the point of unreality. Like, the sunlight shining through a leaf should be bright green, not the gray-beige-green they chose.
I find the whole graphics pretty great in ff15
Dont even try,bro
Just take a quick look in this thread
These small generic phrases, is a ffxv schizo
I think it’s actually a bot. There’s something very creepy about the way it words things.
But as far as I know, bots can’t post pics
It could really be a bot, its behavior is not unhinged like the other ones
Nope
I'm just a Final Fantasy 15 fan
And I found hilarious this kind of vision regarding someone that just enjoy a game
Acting like replying to every post of this thread like a bot is normal behavior, sure
Lol
I'm just a FF15 fan, dudes
This makes me so curious about how they will make the zones in rebirth
It's just so frustrating. The game has the potential of something great, but they wasted it so hard.
I wish those hackers who hit capcom and nintendo would do square next and leak the source/tools so we could finish this shit properly.
Final Fantasy 15 is still a great game
Anyway
It’s literally Venice
Yeah
I've actually been to Venice. Big differences
>Venetian water is a murky green
>no waterfalls
>the houses are much less aesthetic in general, 95% of buildings are old brick houses
>the infrastructure is much more mundane, its really a normal city with rivers instead of roads, nothing like the Altissian bar surrounded by water under a building
Imagine the fricking noise living in that city. Or the constant salty air corroding everything. Or the water constantly eroding away at the buildings. How many people die in water-related accidents?
WTF
You wanna know what nobody tells you about Venice?
It fricking stinks. Most port towns smell pretty bad but Venice is on another level.
It probably wouldn't be louder than the average sound pollution in a city.
The loudest waterfall in the world produces a constant 90 decibel noise.
The average car tire produces a constant 82 decibel noise and a car horn 110 decibels.
t. doesnt know about acid rain
Welp
Imagine the taxes
One of the most nonsensical. You couldn't hear a word anyone is saying over the roar of the water. Holy shit ever heard of a fricking street?
Truly wonderful indeed
I just want an action JRPG with cities like this... Add in some crafting, a house you can decorate and I'd be in love
Just play Atelier my man.
>Atelier
>action JRPG
I know you can find all of that if you go for turn based
shame you spend like 20 minutes in there. I wasn't compelled to do any sort of exploration or side content in the city
>quest to take a pic of Stella's wedding dress
No thanks. I didn't care for her since she had so little screentime
Lunafreya exists as a character, at least
And Altissia is a great city
>Lunafreya
see, she was so bland and forgettable that I called her by her VersusXIII name
LOL
Sure buddy...
Lunafreya wins again
Because it's sexy, and exist
True, she was probably still a character because she was in the first trailers
You will NEVER play Final Fantasy Versus XIII
Haven't played the game in a long time but don't you not stay there very long ?
>but don't you not stay there very long ?
25 minutes at most and that is including cutscenes and the lame ass Levithan fight
That sucks.
I mean you could fart around and do the monster arena but I wasn't motivated to do so
If you explore the city, and do the hunting quest, you can enjoy the Altissia City for more than 2 hours.
And this without counting the Episode Ignis exploration of the destroyed Altissia
(and the stuff added with the Royal Edition)
Altissia is a truly enjoyable and cool city
I loved navigate the with the Royal Yatch, thanks to the Royal Edition
Now post how it actually looks and the level design instead of a bullshit CGI render
>what it looks like in game
>what it REALLY looks like in game
Black person
IIRC it looks fine in-game, only that you spend 10 minutes there and you're on a railroad basically, just more glimpses of what FFXV could have been if SE would not be constantly moronic.
Imagine the traffic.
it'd be like what they "took inspiration" from aka venice with rome's traffic combined or in simple words a fricking nightmare
>build dam 100s of miles away
>flood dam and destroy city
Such a waste of a good design
>Such a waste of a good design
FFXV in a nutshell. Frick Tabata an thank frick he is gone so he can't ruin more games like he did with XV and Parasite Eve 3rd Birthday
I found Altissia a great city
And FF15 a great game
Enjoyable and cool
FFXV is the most disappointing game I've ever played and Altissia stands as a monument to its hubris.
All those man hours, all that beautiful design, the masterfully crafted texturework, modeling, art and conception, completely wasted on a minor 20 minute location that immediately gets blown the frick up.

The most enjoyable Final Fantasy played on my PS4, and also the most goergeus made
Literally not the the theme of Altissia but by that point i wasn't even surprised. Slap some generic gondola music on. What a fricking waste of everything that game was.
With the difference that this game is actually pretty good
>What a fricking waste of everything that game was.
agreed, never got any DLCs because of it and by god it makes a Platinum trophy look like you hardly did any of the game's content
pic did not attach for some reason
