    >worked on Payday 2 for 10 years
    >Learned absolutely nothing about what works and what doesn’t
Besides their soundtrack guy getting replaced, is this a new director too? It’s baffling a experienced leader would kneecap themselves so bad, or was it the annoying, useless investors demanding shit again

People seem to forget Payday 2 was a massive fricking shitstain at launch, as well. Payday 3 will be good eventually, but anyone with a brain knows to wait a few years and get whatever goty edition comes out with the 400 DLC' they're gonna add. I'm honestly shocked there's no DLC's available on the store yet.

I don't see why anyone buys launch these days, pretty much company nickels-and-dimes the customer with DLC while having the base game cost like $5 two months after release

those pajeets used P2P as "feature" which resulted 2 fricking infested with cheaters, thats why most people goes solo
now they trying to fix cheaters problem, but dont have experience with handling servers

how about giving game hosts full autonomy on what they can do with their fricking games instead of trying to push always online?

    >Expecting a studio that couldn't release a functional game just a few years ago (where said game was pulled after two weeks and never saw release on consoles), would somehow turn it around and somehow release a game that was functional and working.

The people who made Starbreeze Starbreeze are gone. The devs behind Riddick, Syndicate reboot, The Darkness, etc, are gone. The people they have now had to take years to make Payday 2 fricking work.

    >B-But Dead by Deadlight!
It's a horrible game played by women and queers. It has the most horrid control scheme with terrible map design.

I just don’t understand. Who the frick are they hiring? Don’t ESG me because seriously, even with diversity hires, I don’t understand how you frick it up this badly. It was fine in 2012 with PAYDAY2, what the frick are they doing with PD3? It seriously amazes me how blatantly out of touch game studios are with gamers. After the Xbox One fiasco, the gall anyone would have to make anything always online is unbelievable. Truly, indie devs have the market by the balls. These companies are fricking oblivious to what gamers want, or how to run some basic fricking servers.

      >It was fine in 2012 with PAYDAY2

That's the key part to situate the problem. It was fine in 2012, but it rapidly shifted after that. It should have been fine a lot more but the game got old so fast.
Probably a guy on top with stupid ideas on how to run a company or make fun games.

      >plans for microtransactions and premium currency a-la fortnite.
      starbreeze deserves everything they get.
i wish we could go back to the overkill days.

That explains it. QRD on why Overkill is not in charge anymore?

morons got greedy and they were busted by the swedish feds for insider trading.
that combined with a series of horribly underperforming releases (walking dead, that world war 2 game) and a shitton of money blown on VR tech...
        one disaster after another, man.
