>monster is the hunchback of notre dame and can survive explosives and gunshots to the head
Lame. If you give the player a gun, don't make it worthless.
You can still lob grenades at the fricker while it's crawling out of a hole. If it finds you while it's already roaming around you're fricked if you're not in a position to run though.
Yeah it's pretty good. Too bad you kinda break the game once you get access to fuel storage. Hoping for mods or shellshock mode to bring back the constant butt clench I experienced on my first playthrough.
I found fuel storage very late, but I don't think it matters that much. The monster will still come out in dark spots of the map at will and will spawn and the light spots when you make any loud noise.
shame you cant experiment with the AI monster, i hope their next game the Ai pursuer will be more interactive, the bunker is in the right direction with real survival horror element
Items and inventory are super important.
The safe room is the only place you can save and the game is all about exploring and backtracking
Bunker is more survival horror than recent Resident Evil.
The only decent Amnesia is the very first one. This one starts pretty good but it's yoked to the franchise reboot (literally called Rebirth) which explains via longwinded exposition that all the spooky shit was caused by ayylmaos, and the mystery and intrigue are immediately kill.
I honestly only think Dark Decent and Bunker are any good.
Machine of Pigs is kind of interesting but not worth the money.
Well shit, at least TDD and this one seem to be generally liked at least by different groups. Guess I'll start with this one, even if the plot may be kind of wacky if ayys are involved, as long as the game is good I don't care that much. If I like it I'm sure I'll end up playing TDD anyway
If you never played Rebirth none of its shitty baggage is even going to be apparent to you while playing the Bunker. Honestly a complete non argument for anyone who hasn't touched that shitty walking sim.
>TDD dickriders
What? TDD is still great for first time players, probably their best original story (if not SOMA), but it has 0 replayability and aged worst than Penumbra games
>0 replayability and aged worse than Penumbra
So the actual VIDEOGAME aspects of it then? Yeah this is exactly why the Bunker is the superior game to anyone that isn't a storygay. It's still a good game and I'd heartily recommend it to anyone interested in the franchise, but the best or, god forbid, 'the only decent one' like that one homosexual was claiming it is not.
I don't know who are you talking about, but Im guessing that someone is referring to both Machine for pigs and Rebirth being movie games, while TDD had actual inventory, items, sanity, oil and health mechanics. which is true he probably just grew hate and didn't give Bunker a chance.
>scary ww1 bunker where a monster chases you in the gloomy darkness
kino >turns into ancient secret roman empire base which was actually secret ancient alien base and the monster is a man who got roided up on secret ancient alien juice
the frick were they thinking
I finally finished it recently.
What a horror masterpiece. that roman tunnel was some freaky shit. Not only having to deal with some crazy frick with a shotgun but also all those creepy hallucinations was spooky as hell.
I didn't even like Rebirth that much but seeing all those old stuff from Rebirth in Bunker made me nostalgic and it's cool that even with some games that failed Frictional is keeping a consistent and interesting universe.
Hoping for custom stories but it seems to have bombed pretty hard judging from the amount of steam reviews. There probably won't be a custom story community to speak of.
It's funny how subjective horror is. I see people talk about the ghosts and the blind guy with a shotgun but they never unsettled me in the least, while the monster had me shitting my pants.
>monster is the hunchback of notre dame and can survive explosives and gunshots to the head
Lame. If you give the player a gun, don't make it worthless.
It's not worthless
It's not worthless, it's the most useful tool of the game. Also if you want to kill monsters just play RE4 or Dead Space?
The Gun is the best tool you have.
Without bullets you are pretty much fricked.
You can still lob grenades at the fricker while it's crawling out of a hole. If it finds you while it's already roaming around you're fricked if you're not in a position to run though.

>survival
How does it do survival?
It literally follows the classic RE formula to a tee, except it mixes in Alien Isolation and imsim elements
Items and inventory are super important.
The safe room is the only place you can save and the game is all about exploring and backtracking
Bunker is more survival horror than recent Resident Evil.
this
Bunker is the nearest thing you ever gonna get that feels like Resident Evil 1 mixed somewhat with Alien Isolation
is this a good amnesia to start with? never played any of them

It's the best one. Disregard TDD dickriders.

Machine of Pigs is kind of interesting but not worth the money.
The blind guy in the misty tunnels with a shotgun was scarier than the monster
>scary ww1 bunker where a monster chases you in the gloomy darkness
kino
>turns into ancient secret roman empire base which was actually secret ancient alien base and the monster is a man who got roided up on secret ancient alien juice
the frick were they thinking
All the Amnesia games are in the same universe. That is reference to Rebirth
I reiterate, what were they thinking?
Let me guess, when you fell down the hole at the near end of the game and died you didn't understand it either?
>make a low budget Alone in the Dark game
>put it in first person perspective
>Amnesia fans go nuts at their first experience of such a formula
Wait until you try out the Alone in the Dark and Resident Evil series. You'll lose your minds even more.
Wow you're so hardcore anon, with your obscure interests like Resident Evil and Alone in the Dark.
Anon, Alone in the dark last game was in like 2008, and the last real survivor horror RE, REmake 1 is from 2002, what the frick are you talking about?
I finally finished it recently.

It was a good game, but too short for 25 dollars
thank goodness i pirated it first
Hoping for custom stories but it seems to have bombed pretty hard judging from the amount of steam reviews. There probably won't be a custom story community to speak of.
The ghosts of the roman tunnel freaked me the frick out, kudos to frictional for making just a random blind homie with a shotgun so scary.
>a random blind homie with a shotgun so scary
they should've made him the main monster instead of that deathclaw knockoff
I got killed by that homosexual twice.
Amazing how Frictional can make a blind human with a shotgun terrifying.
Only real issue is throwing grenades at the blind frick was super easy to kill the frick.
It's funny how subjective horror is. I see people talk about the ghosts and the blind guy with a shotgun but they never unsettled me in the least, while the monster had me shitting my pants.
