Neither because it's in one of the most boring regions in the mod.
Jaherian Exemplars
Anyone know what the odds are for expeditions to spawn? Been trying blueshield into dur vazahtun but they're boxed in by Railskulker so they don't have a lot of room to explore around. And sometimes I get only one or even no expeditions I can reach. Feels real bad to scrape by instead of being able to snowball early with all that mana money and reform progress
They are compltely randomly placed in the region, each region is given an X amount of expeditions at start
>boxed in by Railskulke
If you conquer a second province in a war you get a decision to destroy the province and uncolonize it. You can use this to bulldoze past anyone you want or destroy them entirely. It is harder without expeditions funding you though.
Railskulker owns too many provinces to destroy
One of the latter reform allows you to purge warband no matter the number of provinces. You can reduce railskulkers to a 2-province shithole stuck in disjointed caves.
But how am I gonna get to a tier 4 government reform without reform progress from expeditions that I can't reach because Railskulker is in the way
Any tips for playing Roadwarrior? I heard its pretty unique ut i'am afraid to try it and being a migratory tribe forever seems kind of boring
It used to be fantastic, but I think they nerfed them, so I dunno.
Paradox fricked up migration so Roadwarrior got fricked up as well, and the bandaid fixes aren't that good.
Which one will produce cuter helfs?
I'M ON THE SIDE OF LOTHANE SIL WEX
What's the best start for forming the phoenix empire?
Birtarzanses for the gov cap perma modifiers?
BTW you can get the 10% gov cap modifier on their capital by just making them a vassal and devving their capital to 25, same goes for Sareyand to get +2 tolerance of true faith.
If you feel wacky you can also help Azka-Sur do their MT to build various temples before annexing them, it gives you 1 extra missionary.
Birtarzanses for min maxing, Varamhar for IMMORTAL God ruler powerful mage, literally can't die even if general
Zansap for -35% warscore cost. Centaurs might also be a good pick, phoenix palace has additional cavalry combat ability
>Centaurs might also be a good pick
???????????
>Pick opm next to bulwar
>Blob into bulwar
>Change culture and religion
>Form PE
>opm
when was the last time you looked at the forbidden plains?
Wdym, it's filled with opms at the start
Nvm they changed it for some reason, I meant Serpent Shadow
there's only one migrating centaur opm left, but they can only go north
Elizna is super easy
Also super dogshit
average corinite orc
In of itself this reaction could make sense in some circumstances, here I don't think he is in the right at all.
While it's annoying to fight Tluukt as Zansap that should be fixed with the Zansap MT.
Jaddar is pretty fun ngl love just blobbing on everyone with no mercy
Based
>taking the mandate as Jadd
ohnononono
wat
he took the Stewardship of Sorrow as Jadd
And?
It's suboptimal until you got the entire sorrow under lockdown, or at least enough to not tick down on mandate.
I did it because the holder was a OPM, so that I won't waste 50 WS on fighting the larger tag that could have stolen it.
Taking it isn't proper larp.
I can't even get a Jadd run off the ground, every time I manage to actually chase down and kill Zokka, I die to Sareyand draining away the rest of my manpower
Ally the Raj and they will fight the war for you
Jadd is a slog. The people who like Jadd are the same people who like playing horde to recreate the Mongol Empire.
Northern wind should get a mission tree based around being cave centaurs.
Is going for the dwarven pantheon worth it?
Seems like a weaker version of AW that's a hassle to get
If you're planning to conquer all of serpentspine = AW, else might as well go DP
Pantheon is pretty much a straight upgrade but it comes at the cost of having to go through the disaster to get it.
This explains why there is so many troony homosexual shit in this mod
...that there's lots of Swedish people?
Also, over two-thirds (72%) of the favourite region votes are just Cannor and Serpentspine.
was the bottom vote forbidden plains or south sarhal?
Forbidden Plains (0.4%)
Rahen (0.6%)
South Aelantir (0.8%)
Sarhal (0.9%)
are all regions below 1%.
Did only devs vote for their regions, lol?
There aren't nearly enough devs for those regions to make up numbers that high, there might just be a few people who really like something particular about each one. Serpentspine being that high compared to Haless and Bulwar is surprising, I imagined it being more like a 22 17 16 split.
The idea of the forbidden plains is cool(smal human nation surrounded by apocalyptic centaur hordes)but the way the lake federation works is soooo autistic, its not fun to play in the slightest. South sarhal probably polled badly because its unfinished, there is not a single unique MT for the lizardmen or the not-africa kingdoms.
For all the hate FP (rightfully) gets I feel like Rahen is overlooked in how awful it is. It's been in the game even longer and yet it still only has like 4 mission trees between the 50 different nations there because no one cares about it, it's just a boring India clone and what interesting pieces of lore it does have like the spirit temples just got cannibalised by Haless, also much like FP it's bogged down by a shitty jank supranational mechanic. But FP at least has the potential to be something good with some reworks like what they're doing for the centaurs, Rahen just feels truly damned.
Figures. They should have just removed the region entirely.
I like the Fathide Ogres and hope that they get at least one good MT.
Ogres feel like they don't do anything and are disconnected from the rest of the region. Wish they were more involved like Azjakuma.
Coastal American autism
Now what were the top 10 mission trees
Jaddari
Aelnar
Castanor
Command
Azkare
Demense
Balrijin
Hul-az-Krakazol
Adshaw
Feiten
>Top 10 are all groß blobs
Blob game
Feiten isn't blobby
You trade blob and diplo blob(trade protectorates)
Is adshaw that good? Thought their mt was old as frick
It's unique, since you use espionage and sabotage to expand, its pretty railroady at the start, but its good fun, Yingzhen is similar and less known
Racemixing ~~*magnate*~~ tree
racemixing? adshaw is chuddier than gawed though
You invite thousands of immigrants to your country and I don't remember what you do with orcs all so the ~~*magnates) can raise the gdp.

>.t ~~*(gnome*~~)
Eh, Varaine is entirely human
>think of all the delicious food!
Al-Chuddari was first
>Baljrijin
>Azkare
i hecking love railroading
I'm gonna be real, I think a lot of people just rate Azkare high because they play the first part of it then get bored and quit, and have fond memories of that part. Never having to deal with the weird janky parliament system, or the wealth of stupid mission requirements later on
they like the "idea" of azkare I think, they sort the missions folder by file size, make a poggers face, play the early game with the little story, and before they get to the truly wretched parts they've already gone to play something else
It's like the opposite of Aelnar, which is boring as shit early then gets more fun
Azkare is gay but I liked Balrijin because it had a dragon and was a difficult start.
Adshaw shouldve been up there
>Amlidhr that high
I thought everyone disliked Amlidhr for having the worst mission tree in the Serpentspine?
We hate the MT, we love the 4-holds-capital area.
interestingly, another survey was run a few weeks ago or so on reddit and game back with these results
>1. The Command
>2. Verkal Ozovar
>3. Balrijin
>4. Azkare > Sunrise Empire
>5. Feiten
>6. Iron Scepter > Esthil > Black Demesne
>7. Adshaw
>8. Dur-Vazhatun
>9. New Wanderers > Elikhand
>10. Krakdhumvror
Show that there's a bit of a divide between the really big "general audience" that replied to the official discord poll, and the smaller, older audience that answered the reddit survey. The masses like the very basic blobbing countries like Aelnar/Jadd and weird/quirky/challenging monster countries like Obrtrol and Kobildzan. Whereas the "hardcore" audience is hyperfixated on story and big mission trees, and there's probably some recency bias involved too. Whereas the general audience includes a lot of new players to whom older content is still novel and fun. Also I have no fricking idea what Almdihr and Aul-Dwarov are doing on the top countries list.
Castanor has no business being there
It's definitely related to the fact that one-third of voters said that Serpentspine is their favourite region. Amldhir -> Aul-Dwarov is the penultimate "restore ancient lost empire" experience there.
yeah, but of all the serpentspine countries, why Amldihr? Could it really just be there's so many casual/new players and that's the only one they've tried? Just clicking it because it's the biggest looking hold?
My first dwarf game was Verkal Gulan, though that was before the "gold hold" province modifier ever existed. I've played almost all of them and I think Hul-az-Krakazol might've been the most fun.
>biggest hold
>very close to the adventurers
>said to be the capital of the old dwarven world
>isn't particularly difficult to play
>guides you to form aul-dwarov through a simple MT
It's the most accessible tag for newbies to get immersed into a bigger story (ie: restoring dwarven empire as humble adventurers) without too much of a demand to follow a strict MT or play in a challenging manner beyond Hoardcurse. It's like an easy mode Byzantium -> Roman Empire.
Once a Serpentspine player gets familiar and develops their own tastes, Amldhir usually falls out of their radar for MTs they're interested in, but they've already created those memories when they first played the region. It's also easy for those newbies to tell other newbies that it is a good starting tag to get immersed into the region.
Love to see Venail still going strong. These degenerate trannies can hate it, nerf it again and again, they may eventually manage to ruin it in a rework, but they can't change the love of the masses for genocidal colonialism.

What centaur is it to play as to move to Escann and stack cav stuff
only northern wind can migrate esl-kun, do try to keep up
you can migrate as any of them you just need to reduce yourself to an OPM that borders the uncolonised provinces
New Escanni goblin formable is going to be in the Bitbucket soon. No MT, but does have NIs. Seems to be an isolationist goblin ethnostate.
>goblin ethnostate.
how long until someone cries about this and it get changed to being ultra tolerant and progressive
There was more bickering over one of the NIs being centered around a story about a guy whose clan name was Trufflesniffer than the implications of Jazhkredu being an ethnostate, it should be fine.
okay I'll admit it *some* Serpentspine tags can be fun.
also I really hope the league war continues for way longer or I'll get raped by a coalition with 10 times my troops lol
whats the deal with this hold?
slavery
Very obsessed about their ancestral traditions: being the new highlords (former magnates that once held great authority over controlling the legitimacy and prestige of other clans in Aul-Dwarov), restoring chattel slavery of goblins and orcs, and bringing back the opulence of Aul-Dwarov through massive courts and fine israeliteelry.
>leaving the serpentspine
FOOL! YOU DISHONOUR YOUR ANCESTORS BY NOT RECLAIMING THEIR FATHERLAND.
HOW WILL I ENSLAVE ORCS IF I DON'T CONQUER THEM?!?
NOT TO MENTION I ALSO RECLAIMED MARRHOLD FROM THE AL*NICS
Orcs are the best race in the mod by far
Orcs are boring
especially the grey ones
Can you form castanor if the patricians are purged by a monster race?
Orcs are the most autistic race by far. I mean seriously imagine waging the same fricking war for like 6000 years. you must be fricking autistic to be this obsessed with defeating the dorfs
>religion orders you to destroy and ransack holds for divine vengeance
>your people have spent millennia obliterating dwarven civilization and laying waste upon their holds
>entire special mechanic for black orcs is centered around the hyper-centralization of development in one hold as your sole administrative and economic center, a place that is not only an abomination to your faith, but also extremely unergonomic to settle in for your people
Orcs could have spent those thousands of years to adapt to living in holds
They didn't. You're also supposed to believe that an illiterate collection of warbands with no knowledge sharing, no effective logistical system, and no political or military infrastructure for long-term campaigns defeated the mostly self-sufficient Dwarves in a war of attrition, while being provided little details on how the orcs managed to sustain decades (or even centuries) of siege warfare.
Most of the Orc mission trees are also about becoming insanely fanatic (hyperfixated) over a single idea, like Karashar and Barumand. Definitely autistic.
orcs were created by the greatest autist ever to live, Ducaniel, mixing together his own essence with the essences of the most autistic races to walk the earth: ogres, autistic about eating, dwarves, autistic about digging, and goblins, autistic about tech. Orcs were the result: near perfect autists dedicated to engaging in eternal reeeeeing with the dwarves so that ducaniel could escape(and then fail to fulfill his incest fetish and nuke the entire continent in a fit of incel rage).
I feel like dwarfs should have harder time getting institutions and tech early on. There are hordes and hordes of orcs and goblins between them and Anbennar. I know there is some penalty, but it doesn't feel significant enough. Serpentspine is only slightly behind in tech, compared to Dameshead, and then it just evens out in the midgame. EU IV was more fun before the institutions. Give me back my struggle, Johan!
As you said this is mostly just a vanilla mechanics issue and the Anbennar devs don't want to touch Vanilla mechanics (hence why the idea groups are unaltered and why it took like 3 years just to make the ages not shit). For whatever moronic reason Paradox decided that the early institutions should spawn in Europe and be really slow to spread while the later ones can spawn anywhere and spread really quickly, this means Europe gets a tech advantage for the first 200 years or so before things even out in the latter half of the game, which is the complete and total opposite of how it should work.
The thing with dwarves is that, due to the fact that institutions for the most part cannot or usually will not spawn in the Serpentspine, should have slow tech. But they also turbo develop their provinces, which causes institutions to spread to them artificially, so in practice they're usually on par with Cannor.
Imperator pop system would work really well in Anbennar
I hope they do well with Anbennar on ck3, the medieval/dark ages period fits fantasy worlds much better than victorian era. A lot of the factions start feeling out of place as the game goes on.
>finaly finish the Boek MT and get the "end of all things" totem
>expect it to be some really cool stuff or chain of events with this ominous name
>turns out its just a joke totem that gives 1 dip power
Frick whoever designed the Boek, having to give away land for this moronic mission tree was a torture. I knew i should've played Kwineh, i fricking knew it, its got a generic MT but at least its not a "devs pulling the rug to laugh at you" MT
Play Cestimark if you want a cool tree in that area that deals with natives, other adventurers and weird supernatural stuff.

Insyyabros?
I expected robots, kaijuu and bugs and I got islanders. Very excited to turn this off in my campaigns.
Robots are bad and shouldn't exist
Bugs too
Humans good
More time and manpower being used on a boring continent, instead of reworking cannor or unlocking sarhal
People want complete creative freedom and power to oversee future content but don't want to implement actual content, please understand
Manpower is entirely voluntary, especially in Anbennar development. You can guide an autist to a particular region, but you can't force them to actually work on it (fully-heartedly, at the very least).
unlock Cannor and Sarhal then
I'm not a dev head, so this is an entirely pointless response.
If Cannor/Sarhal heads want to be closeminded/restrictive and then complain that people want reworks that they won't provide, that's their fault for not opening the floor to the contributors.
I know you're not a fricking dev you stupid homosexual Black person
Calm down you mongrel. You clearly needed the obvious to be stated to you since you can't comprehend the fact that any manpower that shows up to work on the new region are volunteers with their own whims that isn't suddenly going to join a region en masse just because some random head told them to; they're going to do whatever they want if the options are available to them. You think that closing all of the regions made Sarhal go any faster or better? The coders just didn't show up because they didn't care for Sarhal in the first place.
Most likely, no actual manpower is wasted here. Writing google docs is fun & exciting, actually writing the fricking mod isn't. The people wanking themselve over this vaporwave aren't the ones who'd do the actual work.
Trannies literally cannot help themselves. This is why people hate them. In any other situation they'd just be pitied because they're more often than not autistic loners who were convinced that their lack of comfort with themselves was gender dysphoria stuff and not just them being autistic in a world of normies.
what are you complaning about exactly?
The fact they cannot help but shove "trans representation" into everything they have creative control over.
Like making the fricking robots of the Australia equivalent have some special snowflake nonbinary gender shit and actually suffer from gender dysphoria.
Is your computer male or female?
I don't know about that weirdo, but mine is canonically a futa with balls and she looks after me.
It's male
t. Slav
>good boy
t. literally me patting my computer, unironically
it's a woman of course cuz I ain't gay
A cute girl, of course
Kind a looks like it's 1/5 full of milk.
It's not milk
I think it's milk.
In Anbennar your PC would suffer existential dread
Why would a computer feel uncomfortable with breasts?
because the anbencosters keep trying to inject their fluids into it
Bro it's just damestear
>why would a sapient robot be uncomfortable with being modified into a sex object
I dunno anon
biggest thing I can see is that it needs more conflict. EU4 is a war game, everyone seems to be either coexisting peacefully or isolated from everyone else, so WTF are you doing all game as an Insyaa tag?
ngl it seems like it was written to be a land of noble heckin wholesome bois trying to their best in a dangerous land only to get bodied by some villain later in the game as tragedy bait. It's almost too perfect, like they have these dragon turtles that are best friends with the humans and "living libraries", you just know someone's gonna kill those guys to make soup or some shit.
It's obviously gonna be Cannorians doing it because we live in a post-Floyd world.
Man, Insyaa will be such a homosexual island
>Apparently "the hunger" ogres grapple with just doesn't exist for them because they grow some appetite suppressant plant
How boring. I like the idea of a society where Ogres try to force themselves to be non-monstrous due to religious dogma, but still end up overwhelmed by the hunger sometimes. Especially, when coexisting species depend on the Ogres as their defenders
>I like the idea of a society where Ogres try to force themselves to be non-monstrous due to religious dogma, but still end up overwhelmed by the hunger sometimes
The valley has ogres like that. Maybe insyaa just got leapfrogged and had to give their a dumb copout to avoid looking like they're copying
>The valley has ogres like that
Oh alright that's neat
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1UhSSNIPGRW2kTsVnWV9uH2aJQJcYljEP-Vpa2sZW0Vo/edit#heading=h.3lsg6b38jb65
At first i thought you meant the valley in the meme sense, like "the valley has the Sarhal angel" or "the valley has the Insyaa ant people"
So I just attacked a lake fed nation for the first time, good to know it drags in every last fricking one of them and not just their allies like it said it was gonna on the declaration screen
>another bad encroaching jungle
We are at like 5 at this point, maybe more.
>They practise political marriages between themselves and the Ogres, and are not strictly monogamous in these circumstances
What?
>They share the same faith as the Skyfall Ogres and Sirimadsik Kobolds; these two cultures are heavily intertwined and somewhat co-dependant on each other. These are integrated with each other
This is the opposite of the FP, everyone is integrated and there is no conflict.
>Mechanim outside Insyaa may be assigned genders, but most do not identify with the genders assigned to them
lol
>Mechanim outside Insyaa may be assigned genders, but most do not identify with the genders assigned to them
This part is based. they're mechanical, they should be separate from the strange fleshy preoccupations of meat-kind.
>As with the above, Insyaan mechanim do not exhibit sexual dimorphism (as in appearance like breasts), unless otherwise made or modified to do so, like for Cannorian mechanim, although Cannorian mechanim often find themselves uncomfortable with their bodies due to this
This part is cringe on so many levels. I have to actually break this down to explain why I'm cringing so hard
>unless otherwise made or modified to do so
"modified"? Why even mention the idea of someone bolting breasts onto a mechanim? You're trying to introduce this cool new race, show us how awesome they are, and now we're soldering ass implants on a bionicle? Why is this even brought up? Imagine introducing lizards with "they do not have external penises" and going on about humans preferring lizard girls with fake breasts and how that hurts their feelings. Why are we talking about this again?
>Cannorian mechanim often find themselves uncomfortable with their bodies due to this
Insyaan mechanim I can understand, if it's some sort of forced body-modification (writers barely disguised fetish.jpg), leaving aside how fricking magical-realm that is to begin with, ok that sounds uncomfortable. But "cannorian mechanim" I assume are completely new ones, so why're they uncomfortable with the appearance they've always had?
In fact, why would they care about such things at all? Why can't they just be cool and transcend these flesh-concepts instead of having a widespread weakness to looking in a mirror, man that's so fricking pathetic and lame
And what even is the endgame here? Tolerance events about forcing mechanim to wear skirts? New MT goal: liberate all the mechanim and angle-grind their robo-breasts off? No seriously, what even is this part lmao, this is harpy brothel tier
>this is harpy brothel tier
Why is that bad again?
I think he meant the idea of harpies being somehow gender neutral
whos idea
Harpy brothels make sense tho
>Insyaan mechanim I can understand, if it's some sort of forced body-modification (writers barely disguised fetish.jpg), leaving aside how fricking magical-realm that is to begin with, ok that sounds uncomfortable. But "cannorian mechanim" I assume are completely new ones, so why're they uncomfortable with the appearance they've always had?
I could be wrong but I read it as Mechanim that moved to Cannor, either being immigrants or being enslaved. The modifications in question would presumably be some effort by Cannorians to make the Mechanim fit in with Cannorian ideas of beauty, which the Mechanim are uncomfortable with. Them being robots means they are essentially infinitely modular especially with Cannorian artificery know-how. I could easily see some rich Pearsledger butthole with a bunch of modified robo-maid servants at his mansion.
That said I think this concept should be taken much further than just gender and sex stuff, it would make sense if Mechanim were also forcibly modified to be more efficient labourers, with a bunch of unwieldy specialized appendages. Or maybe some get turned into personal computers and have all their extraneous "organs" removed so all they can do is sit around and run calculations for their masters. Undoubtedly these would also cause a lot of stress and discomfort for the Mechanim. This would be actually pretty interesting to explore in a fantasy setting, the enslavement of a mechanical race where even the very function and form of their bodies are for their oppressors to control.
>the TI-84 calculator i bought from a giberd gnome starts crying every other night
>I could easily see some rich Pearsledger butthole with a bunch of modified robo-maid servants at his mansion.
Based
Of course the ugly bastard with a robo harem is also a bald 'edger
how did they ruin fricking yeti ogres
>I could be wrong but I read it as Mechanim that moved to Cannor, either being immigrants or being enslaved
It's worse than that, apparently cannorians are too stupid to ever independently invent mechanim and all mechanim that get made in cannor are actually made using stolen parts from Insyya, specifically that heart/brain combination. So Cannorian mechanim are actually like frankenstein's monster from the insyya mechanim's point of view. I guess we're supposed to forget that mechanim are already very similar to the prexisting golems that both the dwarves and the fangualan humans figured out how to make?
If adding breasts or dick to a mechanim makes them unconfortable, wouldn't ANY modifications have the same effect?
Yes. Which is why they could've just said it that way instead of focusing on the sex thing and making it weird
They wanted a race of troons

Alright

Fearing an eventual uprising, rebellion, or, though no Precursor would admit it, being equaled by beings they had built to serve them,
This makes no sense
It's just a joke about artists melting down over AI art
>As with the above, Insyaan mechanim do not exhibit sexual dimorphism (as in appearance like breasts), unless otherwise made or modified to do so, like for Cannorian mechanim, although Cannorian mechanim often find themselves uncomfortable with their bodies due to this
But why?

I like Anbennar because of fantasy HISTORY, not FANTASY history.
The more you stray away from humans and the assumptions you carry about them, justified or not, the more I don't give a frick.
Mechanims are terrible and stupid.

Jazhkredu Idea descriptions have to be the most embarrassing attempt at writing that can be found in this mod, I get what they were aiming at but it fails pretty hard
Show an example
Yeah, reddit cringe
if I had to guesss, they sought out the biggest ESL tard on the discord and made him write it
Damn that's just embarrassing. I hope they get rewritten at some point. Us ESLs should be aware of our writing limitations
on one hand it's cringe but on other one it is very goblin
Disagree, I see what they were going for but this misses the mark. But it has been done well before, pretty sure the Allclan has some well written gobliny stuff, but I've not played them in their new iteration.
The problem is they didn't want it to be zany. If you look at the flag the goblins are making a bored looking expression, originally they were grinning but it was deemed too silly or something. They're trying SO hard to make them DEFINITELY NOT SILLY. I think the writing style in the ideas is because of that, they had to make them sound "gobliny" but weren't allowed to make them over-the-top in any way so it just feels weirdly insecure
To be fair, I would imagine that a lebenstraum tag being played zany in typical goblin fashion would probably not sit well with a modest amount of players.

Hecking wholesome
how come insyaa ogres aren't hated like every other ogre?
Maybe they don't eat people?
Apparently "the hunger" ogres grapple with just doesn't exist for them because they grow some appetite suppressant plant. I literally rolled my eyes reading that, what a lame cop-out. At least make it some kind of delicate hybrid that's losing its potency in recent centuries or something, have some kind of danger or suspense here
shit, they could've just had them gorge on megaflora to sate the hunger, too. I mean why not, it's right there.
>yetis chew on tobacco to avoid going crazy
I mean, they still need to eat. The Soulseekers of the Valley still eat massive communal meals, even if they've overcome their more bestial desire for eating through spiritual enlightenment and cultural pressures.
Human women marry them to fulfill their mighty need that the pathetic human men can't provide
These ogres don't seek meat, they give it out.
>fathide ogres sate their hunger physically, eating anything and anyone that moves
>onis sate their hunger by acquiring power
>valley ogres sate their hunger spiritually by trying to overcome their hunger
>yetis sate their hunger sexually, hunting down any man caught unawares and taking their meat from them
You forgot swamp ogres

Swamp Ogres are diminutive Fathides.

I mean I guess you could but I personally don't really see the point. You could take the people doing national ideas and shit on bulwark releaseables that you'll never see because the Phoenix Empire or Jadd blobs in Bulwar and instead have them do Sarhal national ideas.
Nobody wants to make shit for sarhal.
nobody wants to play in sarhal either
sarhal is one of the lowest polled regions. nobody cares about it
The Rahen honestly isn't that bad of a region. It's not terrible like the forbidden plains but instead just forgettable.
I just dread playing in the east because I'm a shit player and just do not want to deal with The Command
unless you play Rajnadhaga or in the xia you should be fine to get strong enough that the command won't dec on you directly before they border you.
Because it's indian. Nobody really gives a shit about India in the west. You can do larp with arabs, japs, and chinks but nobody knows anything about poos.
Why don't some of the more monstrous ruinborn cultures have tags where they're monstrous? Such as the ice sleepers or former leechman? Hell why did leechman even get removed?
>Hell why did leechman even get removed?
Mister Bean said lorewise, the Leechmen are too alien a concept to fit the game mechanics as a playable tag and the guy who made a MT made them seem too much of a global threat, when they were just meant to be a local nuisance. Still the guy released the MT as a mod. Didn't play yet
https://steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails/?id=2974677801
And the shitty plants in South Aelentir that are also in insysaa were a better mechanic?
why not just tell the guy to tone them down instead of removing them entirely then.
>Too alien
But androids, alien lizards from space, eldritch horrors in space in the dwarf MT is fine?
man I don't why people think the hoardcurse is hard I was literally never running a deficit even with all my forts and armies up the entire time, I am actually earning less now that the hoardcurse is over then I did when it was active lol.
Hoardcurse was always only an issue for new players. Imo everyone who has played dwarves before can deal with it without issues, assuming you didn't frick yourself over with other shit at the same time to make the game more challenging.
this is my first time playing dwarves long enough too get the Hoardcurse. I literally just stopped removing corruption and fired my advisors and made it through no problem.
You're playing the single fricking dorf tag that isn't very financially fricked by Hoardcurse, instead you get all those revolts.
Haven't played since the Sarhal update, worth grabbing the latest off of bitbucket or nah
As far as I'm aware a lot of the stuff on bitbucket is in the works right now. One of those things being a literal troony tree in the Ynn.
Sarhal update wasn't that long ago. I can't imagine there's anything notworthy yet.
Lotsa stuff is broken, wait for artificery to be well cooked
It's getting a lot of system reworks (ruler-general life rework, Artificer rework, magic rework soon), so it's more unstable than usual.
>Deyeion
>Mire Maw
>Royakottar
>Vels Fadheca
are the new/reworked MTs so far. Expect Arg-Ordstun in a few weeks.
>general life rework
Which is broken
>magic rework soon
We just fricking had one. What we have is fine. Stop wasting time on this shit.
yeah, look forward to this clusterfrick

>9 different mage advisors
>a separate mana bar that's invisible instead of just using mana (but also keeping mana costs sometimes maybe idunno lol)
They nearly tried getting rid of spell schools too until jay was like "yeah no"
On the bright side the Magisterium may start charging mana taxes. Clearly mana transfer works like in Fate and they will send magisters around with semen extraction devices. Given the new mechanim lore I guess their province minority modifier will give a huge bonus to semen extraction efficiency.
>will send magisters around with semen extraction devices
Ok I'm back in. Looking forward to the change.
>and they will send magisters around with semen extraction devices
The first 40 years of dwarf gameplay where you
>press buttons
>get money
>press buttons
>spend money
while having no neighbours are really peak eu4 gameplay, I can totally see why "people" like playing dwarves so much.
My favourite strategy game is Fate/Stay Night
I fricking hate playing as dorfs so much. The worst experience Anbennar has to offer. Absolute bottom of the barrel garbage tier design.
that is literally the best part of anbennar and eu4 as a whole (eu4 is a garbage game)
Are monstrous nations that get eaten and then released supposed to no longer be monstrous? Just saw it happen with Yezel Mora and some gnolls
Huh, that could be an interesting way to get ahead with a monstrous nation. Play the tag next to it. Conquer it, let it go, then tag switch to them. Although I prefer staying monstrous with them if I can.
How to fix mages
>make useless magic useful by lowering cost or increasing effect
>make magical training transfer to new rulers, so you are training a baseline knowledge as well as ruler knowledge so that magic is not overly good on long lived rulers
>nerf OP magic like construction or diplo estate magic.
>nerf mage wizards and have them also be a bit random instead of boring, maybe had a few more traits.
Mechanim should look like this
You should look like that.
the frick
You heard me.
Mechanim should look like this
They do, they just dont have breasts
>They do, but actually not
ok but how do Oni women look like?
Isn’t there oni advisor art?
Should I enable Aakhet estate?
Man railskulker feels weak.
It's 1550 and while I got a giga economy and am ahead of tech my full artificer/cannon troops are made of paper.
I struggle to beat any dwarf army that's more than half the size of one of my stacks.
Goblin Military is like the second weakest one. literally only Kobolds are worse.
Yeah, and railskulker is as weak as it gets too for goblins since they have zero mil buffs in their ideas or MT. And the early artificery doesn't help either since you can't use any of the buffs anyways with your low cap.
Standard for goblins. You're meant to swarm
The most kino campaign I've had in this mod didn't even have an MT.
I just picked Ruby Expedition and migrated half the world in the Serpentspine to reclaim one of the Eastern holds.
Some of the smaller non-MT tags can have some really fun runs. A few days ago i was playing Kwineh and managed to beat an invasion from Lorent and its colonies while simultaneously turning my ruler into a lich, it was fricking wild. I really hope they add an MT to Kwineh, the bloodgroves region feels like it should be integral to them as a faction.
I wanted to try out Haraz Orldhum but the only dwarf adventurers in the area are those gayass regent court gays, do they get an event to switch
you can switch when you form the nation.
also you could take another adventurer deeper into the Serpentspine and just migrate all the way over
Everyone except maybe asra expedetion gets an event to switch to ancestor worship and then all ancestor worship tags eventually get an event to let them switch to dwarven pantheon
asra also gets it I think
ALL Dwarven adventurers get that event. I formed Haraz Orldhum as Asra and got it.
Duran Blueshield is pretty close, and you get Bilbo and Gandalf as advisors.
>Bilbo and Gandalf as advisors
I am playing Duran->Dûr-Vazhatun right now and i completely missed that. I even remember looking at the wizard and halfling and thinking "huh, that's random"
I swear, i am CURRENTLY reading the Hobbit and i still missed it. I might be a genuine moron
I'm not good enough to bust through shattered crown or Railskulker early, and building up strength for a hundred years in your little cuck zone just to move through is also pretty gay
Beating railskulker (or the random gobbo OPMs) isn't that hard, you're ahead in tech and your army quality is way better. Just build to your max force limit.
Shattered crown early on can be dangerous though
you can pretty safely go way over your forcelimit as dorf adventurers so just build like 30k infantry and buck break them all
But you've got no estates and your loans are like one ducat, not to mention shit manpower. It's not like I don't know that you can go way over force limit to roll dudes, it's just in this case it doesn't seem practical. All I can think is to get lucky with expeditions so you're waiting around a while anyway
just get lucky and you'll get like 2k from 1 expedition bro
The trick is expeditions, do 2 or 3 and you'll get an absurd amount of mana and gold back, this lets you easily get a tech and forcelimit advantage and then you can just roll over anyone, you can also do this when playing as Goblins.
Yeah, that's what I figured. Blueshield though is probably in the worst position to get expeditions at game start out of all the dwarven adventurers though. They have maybe two they can reach if they get lucky, but I've had games where there were none at all
the frick do you mean "not gnomish", why would that matter? what's that got to do with passing reforms?
Giberd the median voter won't vote for your reform because you aren't in their culture group which is gnomish. Says it in the tooltip.
you're going against ~~*((their*~~)) agenda, keep fighting against the globogommo, brave Alenic.
I have seen the shit that happens when you let m*ges rule and can safely say that the Globogommo are the good guys of Anbennar.
>he doesn't know
Quads of Gnomic truth. The only solution is to remove Giberd.
Any good but relatively short, simple campaigns? Like 100-150 years or so, getting tired of the huge MTs that want you to blob across the world.
Rubenaire
>Fighting the raj
>Just them, one ally, and a couple of whatever vassals
>Collapse of the raj event happens
>"no one really considers them legitimate anymore"
>I'm suddenly fighting several more vassals than I was before
???
the most loyal pajeet states become real vassals instead, instead of a gorillion useless ones
There really should be an option to say
>Frick it, CASTELLOS LIVES!
MT about trying to bring back the dead god is also untapped possibility for something really cool
Elikhand gets a religion like that IIRC
There was a discussion before about making that one of the RC heresies but I don't know if it was ever actually implemented.
Giberd founded Black Rock.
>implying
it was obviously made by ~~*adshaw*~~ so they could weaken their neighbours
Hon hon hon... le vin.. ç'est exquisi...
Wineport being literally being just a bunch of frenchmen going
>Pour Castellos! Le vin... ç'est exquis...
for the entire MT
>and the continuously named kingdoms of Cast and Anor
lmao just read the Escann wikipage and they really just fricking made two kingdoms that each took one half of the name. unironically peak worldbuilding

>Yes
La Creatura de la Europa

Reminder the Greentide was non-violent, no humans died, they all left willingly after losing honorable duels
The anbennar equivalent of pots are not people.
Actually they starved too death after the Orcs honorably dueled them and took all their food 😀
Man i wish the expell/purge mechanic was in the base game, not just for races but cultures and religions too. In some campaigns i just want to KILL and lowering autonomy/schorched earth isn't enough.
umm, that's not cool bro, like at all
Deioderan Gaming
Already saw it on discord, homie
moronic nu-devs keep breaking Loc encoding, hopefully contribution will be further restricted going forwards.
Yes, i can't wait for even longer review times, cannor might unlock by 2028
If the number of active contributors gets pruned to 25 or so, with the regional leads supervising, content will get made quicker and with higher quality. The real thing slowing down development is the amount of crap that they've decided to wade through in the hopes of finding diamonds.
personally I think no one but auririurius should be able to volunteer for making serpentspine content as well as content for any continent they/them decide to lead
I'm half tempted to conquer all of this just to fix these fricking borders.
Why only half? It's your land.
You have to anyways
Is there a submod that adds thematic songs to Anbennar? I dont like silence and the standard EU4 music is driving me nuts
Diggy diggy hole, diggy diggy hole.
Also why not just play your own playlist. You have youtube, right?
My PC is not very good, i refrain from using a browser wen mid/lategame hits, the lag becomes unbearable. It might just be the league warsw tho because the lag seems to dimish a lot after 1590
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2621990856
A good number of songs ranging from meh to good to surprise bangers, if you don't mind the occasional meme song like diggy hole and All Star, but you can always disable them.
thanks
All Star isn't a meme song it's kino
Damn it, why the frick did I subjugate Birzartanses, this fricker has been disloyal for a hundred years. At least I'm too big to rival so no one is supporting them
That Jadd MT is a trap
I meant mission, not MT
You should annex it, dev Birzartanbar to 25, return province to Birzartanses and get the 10% gov capacity
you know you can dev subject provinces right?
its going to take ages to annex Birsartanses, in no world would vassalizing it make sense
Crathanor MT will be merged soon if someone wants to play something new
What is it about?
Conquering Dostanor, Borders, West Bulwar and proclaiming that Surael = Castellos
>proclaiming that Surael = Castellos
Sounds too based to be true
"When, at the end of the White Pestilence, the Phoenix Empress Jexis offered the Ilatani that remained in Itrahureš the opportunity to repopulate the plague-ravaged region of what is now Crathánor, most jumped at the offer, sailing across the Sea of Follies to make a new Ilatani homeland of Kišakur. For most peoples, this would be a difficult affair, since the local Bahari saw them as foreigners worshipping a false religion, but the Ilatani have long believed in a syncretism of the Castanorian Pantheon and the Sun Cult. At first the Bahari were skeptical of Crathánori rule, but slowly the Ilatani convinced them of the truth of the Lightfather. With more and more converting to this new syncretism, hostile relations between the Ilatani and Bahari gradually disappeared, newfound cooperation taking its place."
Beyond that, it's a trade republic with liberal tendencies that creates more of them (as "sister republic"-type vassals) as the MT progresses. They hate taxes and Sun Cult theocracy, love profit and the Lightfather, simple as.
>trade republic liberal tendencies
Am I the only one who thinks that Anbennar has too many of those? Literally every continent is dominated by some liberal wish fulfillment which is a bit too much for 1444
No, I also think there's too much of such wish fulfillment, but I think it's born more out of ignorance of the historical conditions during the EU4 period.
It's partially because of how D&D works and partially because of what you said.
I think you can argue for either way of the decentralist/absolutist angle since magic is both a tool of oppression and a tool to fight back against it. So liberal republics and absolutist, despotist monarchy are plausible either way
Magic is always """oppressive""" because it relies on the individual talent which allows great men to fight back against the mob. This goes against the whole reasoning of democracy, which is "mob should be charge because might makes right and the mob is stronger than a king". If anything it would make "great men" and "blue blood" theories objective facts, making traditional institutions much stronger than they were irl.
^This, iirc it even gets mentioned ingame, maybe after age of the witchkings? But the big aspect if artificers is that they function as an equalizer for the masses against mages.
That doesn't explain why wholesome liberalism is dominant ideology on every continent before artificery is even a thing. Kheonai and Lakefed are the most cringeworthy examples
Yes it doesn't but that's a case of the modders being shitters.
Like the post I responded to said:
>If anything it would make "great men" and "blue blood" theories objective facts, making traditional institutions much stronger than they were irl.
Even republics should be oligarchic systems in the early game with a potential wave of liberal revolutions after artificer becomes widespread.
Kheions are just fantasy ancient greece, some of them are democracies but I think some of them are more oppressive? When your society exists on a city-state level and is forced to do so by magical death-winds democratic tendencies make a little more sense.
>Lakefed
again they're city-states, but they also were already ruled by an oppressive evil empire and are insanely paranoid about it happening again. Also literally 4 years before the start date half the lakes were BTFO by centaurs and the Federation is completely brand-new, a fact that you can't really tell when playing the game. The federation doesn't make sense because it actually does not make sense, it's a completely new idea that barely functions and breaks down and fights itself several times. Only when a small group overwhelms the rest through bloodshed under a single strong leader does it actually unify.
oh yeah also, Lakegays ban magic so that stuff doesn't apply to them (until they have ANOTHER civil war or something about it after which they probably stop killing all the mages in their cribs and let them become jannissaries or some shit instead)
>they probably stop killing all the mages in their cribs
Wait they do this? This is dumb on so many levels, at least the Command has black damestear and AFAIK still uses the mages in war.
I can't remember if they actually execute them, but yeah they completely oppress them at the very least. They were ruled over by
>le evil wizard king like one and a half millennia ago, and centaur shamans have shat all over them repeatedly, so it's practically a religious belief that magic is evil.
>at least the Command has black damestear and AFAIK still uses the mages in war.
Yeah there's no way they have access to korashi, even if the treasure fleets could bring some it'd be such a tiny trickle.
funny thing about a society on Halann without magic though, the lakes' economy would be skullfricked if they started trading with westerners. Cannorian mages can shit out so much gold the entire economy would crash, and they wouldn't have any of the magic safeguards western mints have against counterfeiting.
>counterfeiting
? Magic gold is fake?
That's the problem, magic/transmuted gold isn't fake, so it can be used to create infinite coinage and bullion
During the wars of rule apparently mages shat out so much gold it became worthless and caused hyperinflation. The imperial mint was set up afterwards and IIRC the Anbennarian Crown has some kind of magic signature to distinguish real from fake.
Now imagine you're an enterprising transmuter, and you find an entire civilization full of people using regular mundane gold coins and bullion to buy and sell everything. Their only source of gold is a single tightly controlled island locked down by cartel. You could easily flood the place with duped gold bars and make off with infinite goods
Now that I think about it, couldn't the treasure fleet do that? Why don't they do that?
Do they even use traditional gold coin? I don't even touch lakefed because of the cancerous federation
They do use gold coins, the overwhelming majority of them come from gold mined in Ultakal Island. It's shared by two of the Lake Federation members where they're expected to rotate full ownership of the mines every five years to prevent violent conflict since both of them have equal stakeholdership over it.
The idea that "Bad monarch means that we should abandon the concept of monarchy altogether" is relatively new and sterns from the fact that post 20th century world is dominated by democracies that propagate the idea that monarchy is something weird and unusual.
When president does something bad or fricks up people's first thoughts aren't "Wow, republics suck! We should be a monarchy", rather "It's the president faults, he failed to live uphold our democracy!". Medieval people thought the same about monarchies, I don't know why this wouldn't be the case in anbennar.
>Kheions are just fantasy ancient greece
Ancient greece was mostly monarchist with some exceptions and the majority of people thought that democracy sucks
>again they're city-states, but they also were already ruled by an oppressive evil empire
It's not that their entire experience with monarchies were just this one evil king, they had other monarchies but their dynasties were conveniently wiped out and they all decided to become a republic instead of finding a new king for some reason. Some lakefed states have unique titles if you restore their monarchies like Raven King in Länkinä, which is pretty neat, but only available to the player.
>The idea that "Bad monarch means that we should abandon the concept of monarchy altogether" is relatively new
If you consider the Roman Republic relatively new, sure
I do think a lot of countries in Anbennar are a little TOO liberal and tolerant, but I don't really think it's that strange
The Roman monarchy might be a myth and allegory for foreign domination
Still, the fact that the Roman Republic (and other classical republics) existed at all shows that monarchy isn't some absolute truth of pre-modern government. The Iroquois also had a republic completely independently evolved from the Mediterranean republican tradition, and there were probably some republics in Ancient India (still under historical debate). It's not impossible.
I think the problem is caused by the planet of hats way of creating diversity between tags, many tags have to be political quirky to stand out compared to real life countries.
In terms of Republics I don't think that's a huge issue in Anbennae outside of the Kheion and Lake Fed which are just unrealistically exaggerated
>If you consider the Roman Republic relatively new, sure
That's the exception that proves the rule. Almost every city-state around Rome was some sort of monarchy, it wasn't a widespread occurrence that happened in the majority of countries on every continent. Cambodia reinstated it's monarchy after having a bad republic, that doesn't mean that it's a common thing to do in 2024 when having a bad president. Also Rome then reinstated it's monarchy with the support of the people, which would be impossible in Anbennar universe which operates under 21th century liberal assumptions.
>which would be impossible in Anbennar universe which operates under 21th century liberal assumptions.
2 of the lakefed splinter tags and Ameion
are explicitly pro-monarchist and nothing stops you from reforming into a monarchy at tier 6 as any tag what do you mean
He's just imagining there's some kind of political statement here by muh libruls and then seething at the thing he conjured up, typical anon behavior. Just looking for an excuse to rage
>are explicitly pro-monarchist
whomst
The republic part is the weakest criticism you can make, there are tons of "statements" or just dumb worldbuilding regarding 21st century morality existing in some tags.
>2 of the lakefed splinter tags and Ameion
Cool, now compare that to the amount of wholesome tags released
>proclaiming that surael is castellos
dangerously based

Is this the best Anbennar monuments mod group? I need something to piss away my ducats on.
Basically, there never were many mods for monuments and aside from those and the dwarven knowledge one I'm pretty sure most are defunct by now.
thanks. yeah the workshop seemed pretty empty.
is there any nation more evil than Dartax? imagine having these long lived creatures that have nothing but benevolence in their hearts and hating them, all they want is too protect you and lead you into prosperity and the light of Surael and yet you despise them. the Chosen are quite literally the kindest people on Halann.
Most sun elves? Actual evil tags?
iirc aren't the immigrants all cannorian (white) humans and members of the civilised races like dwarves and elves
if castanor was fine with dwarves you should be too
Eh, as Varaine i had like 7 race tolerated in my capital
Dwarves are like gnomes obsessed with wealth and would make all humans their shabbos goyim like rubyhold and verkal ozovar
Even with the slave holds the dwarves are still less evil than gnome/halfling since Newshire exist
Same homosexual who wrote the new Ynn tree also wrote Newshire, and he made halflings "pansexual"
>pan
>pane
>bread in Italian
Checks out
I mean, by the end of newshire mt, they are sprouting from the ground like goddamn mushroom
what the devil
They are basically necromancer magocracy with all the ethnic cleansing of Venail in all but name and schematic. Easily able to compete with Luciande in terms of evilness
At their evil peaks, the halflings and gnomes both surpass the dwarves, but on average the dwarves are still the most evil of the civilized manlets and the second most evil of all manlet races
Wow the modifiers for the best version of this are really not worth the self harm you have to commit to get them. War score is completely useless since everyone is NSC or monster anyway, and dev isn't that great either at this point.
Yep, as Keladora I always just complete it after killing Dartax.
I should suggest buffing the maximal reward
Can I do WC with this setup?
Which's the comfiest nation to play?
I know a lot of people disagree, but I find Dwarven Adventurers cozy once you get everything set up and settle in a hold that you want to form.
Eborthil
halfling girls owe me sex
Sure but only halflings from the archipelago in Sarhal.
depends how black they are
As dark as midnight

every continent has one example of this now, booooring
Are custom nations fricked in this? Can they do formables? Been thinking a while about trying to do The Thought custom nation since the gnomes are too focused on colonization. And plopping down in Escann as an adventurer would let me form something with a mission tree
Think you can only form Blademarches
How are you supposed to play Zansap?

I don't see your strat
>Ally with vassals, get Elizna and Varamhar to support independence

Varamhar is always friendly to Irrliam
It isn't, you just have to keep savescumming
I did, the run was so weird, I had to fight Jaddari for Tluukt land and do weird shit with Irrliam
Zansap is elf? or did you culture swap
There are new T5 reforms, highlight is that humans can have specialized reforms based on races they integrate.
It's kinda boring given you are just getting half of the racial mil's value, I guess it's for when you want to switch mil but don't have the 30% required?

To play Anbennar you already have to suspend your disbelief enough to accept that this fantasy world has a pseudo-european culture, a pseudo-egyptian culture, a pseudo-chinese culture, etc that all exist in the regions roughly geographically equivalent to where they exist on Earth, even Warhammer isn't as blatant with ripping off real world cultures. I don't think it's that much more of a stretch to accept that there are maybe a couple more republics in Anbennar than what existed in our equivalent time period.
>even Warhammer isn't as blatant with ripping off real world cultures
I can't suspend my disbelief over your post
2 entire regions with more republic is not just a couple, plus it's not just republics.
*with only republics
>even Warhammer isn't as blatant with ripping off real world cultures
Are you fricking serious rn
At least Cannor is far less ripoffy than Warhammer, since there aren't that many clear 1:1 analogues for most real life cultures. Anbennar is certainly not an equivalent of Germany, and stuff that often gets said like Lorent=France or Gawed=England are hardly 1:1 equivalents. Escann is also just pure fantasyland with no clear European analogue. This is a good thing though, originality is nice, but it shows where Jaybeaner handcrafted the setting and which regions were just slapped together by moronic westerners (Rahen, Haless, Sarhal, etc.) and there's also uninteresting nothings like the Lake Federation
>and which regions were just slapped together by moronic westerners (Rahen, Haless, Sarhal, etc.)
Even the analogue isn't perfect, we don't live in a world where Indians live on the upper half and Chinese on the lower half of the same river basin.
Even in Cannor you have more direct analagues like Gerudia and Dameria
Anon, half of the names in Warhammer fantasies are names of things that actually exist.
Why is Yanshen so republican anyway?
no mandate of heaven
The chopped off dick is a public treasure
res publica
their nascent kingdoms, which developed later than in chinese history, probably because of Precursor/oni shenanigans were destroyed in the day of ashen skies and then dominated by bird riders, harimari, sun elves and finally hobgoblins
Yanshen not having a single local empire is peak moronic
More interesting than having yet another "restore the big old empire" like every other region in the world
They did have strong kingdoms, and for about 500 years Harimar's dynasty ruled virtually all of it before being subverted by their eunuch administrators and reduced to just Zongli.
Honestly "China but it got trapped in the warring states period before getting conquered by India" is a pretty good premise if you ask me.
>and for about 500 years Harimar's dynasty ruled virtually all of it
The frick, how is most of Yanshen not HP
if you look at the state religions, most of yanshen is HP sauce. The thing is though it's mostly restricted to the cities whilst the more rural low dev provinces are still RP.
>whilst the more rural low dev provinces are still RP.
But why? 5 centuries of domination would convert a lot of the population
Not really? HP isn't a particularly proselytising religion anyway.
It converted all of Rahen
They're not really republican in the traditional sense, the eunuchs were established as an administrative caste by Harimar I think and after his empire fell they just stuck around. It's not the same moronic anachronistic ideological republicanism that the lake fed has
Even labeling that a "republic" is an EU4-ism. It's an oligarchy, it's not like the eunuchs are elected by the citizens. part of why it seems like there are so many "republics" in Anbennar is that in EU4 you're pidgeonholed into either a monarchy, republic, theocracy, or some kind of primitive just waiting to become one of those.
Bhuvauri is the single reason why rahen will never be popular or enjoyable
Genocidebros...
We lost???
This is an impossible modifier to get since it would require you to enable the forbidden plains for centaurs.
Even if you do enable FP, once mechanim are added there's a massive timegate until Insyaa is opens after 1650. Also, if Grombar doesn't form you have to rely on tolerance events or the Aelantiri adventurers for half-orcs. Unless you're playing a tag that gets tolerance from MT rewards.
Good post
There is actually a single Centaur pop in Bulwar, in the capital of Arasbar, but that isn't very dependable.
lel
I played Dartax a week ago and i had multiple Centaur events. It is at least one Centaur province in Bulwar, yeah
Diversity is our strength?!
Ah yes, an army famously becomes more effective, the more diverse it is.
That's why soldiers dress in non-uniforms
chuds lost
Genocide was always appallingly bad tbh.
Which is not just atrocious because the gale mechanic itself is lacking but also because often enough you should genocide as certain tags from a roleplay perspective.
>Which is not just atrocious because the gale mechanic itself is lacking but also because often enough you should genocide as certain tags from a roleplay perspective.
Not really, there are only a few cases where purging makes sense narratively. That being the in Serpentspine (where it also actually is a good decision mechanically), the Oni (which is a part of most Haless mission trees), and maybe the Bulwar harpies and gnolls (again already a part of most Bulwar mission trees). The latter two because those races are just dominating over already present human majorities so removing them doesn't cause much lasting damage, and the former because the Serpentspine actually does have the kind of insane racewar history to make it ideologically justifiable.
There's a reason historically empires generally didn't do mass killings and expulsions and instead focused on assimilation and conversion, the former is just massively difficult and expensive for no real gain. The Persians, Greeks, Romans, Arabs, etc didn't slaughter, expel, and ethnically replace every Egyptian each time the region was conquered. they just assimilated Egypt into their own culture. There's little benefit in spending massive amounts of time and money on purging when the depopulated region is unlikely to ever pay the cost back, and the genocide mechanic in the mod represents that.
There's a lot more cases where genocide is the way to go
Reveria requires you to purge the kobolds in one of its first missions for one
Kobolds, trolls, ogres, gnolls, and orcs are all fine examples of narrative purging.
Also centaurs.
No Bulwari MT purges harpies afaik.
Anyway there are more examples if you count recent invaders, purging orcs in Escann, Deepwoods and Gerudia, purging goblins in Bulwar.
Monstrous races are so for a reason, outside of harpies.
>No Bulwari MT purges harpies afaik.
I could be wrong but if I remember correctly when you form Surakes you have some missions or events about the status of gnolls and harpies with both acceptance and purging options.
My point isn't to say that orcs/ogres/centaurs/etc are all good boys who deserve no wrong, just that in most cases actual mass-murder genocide doesn't really make much sense for any country to do. It makes sense that for example the Escanni adventurers would treat the orcs poorly, enslave them, and do some massacres in specific cases (especially early on) but just full-on killing or expelling every orc (or goblin) is absurd when they are majority in Escann, you'd just be causing even more damage to an already devastated region. The same goes for Lake Fed vs centaurs and ogres. I'm not as familiar with how the trolls in Gerudia work so no comment on them.
>I could be wrong but if I remember correctly when you form Surakes you have some missions or events about the status of gnolls and harpies with both acceptance and purging options.
Pretty much meme option, there are plenty of Harpies that have been Sun cult follower for a long time even beyond Nansalen, categorically purging harpies would never happen.
For Gnolls there are far fewer Sun Cult Gnolls and those might be very selectively tolerated.
Objectively evil races aren't the same as other human cultures. There's literally no reason for humans not to kill every orc/ogre/centaur on sight. And it's not because it's effective waste of resources, but because these are animals who are trying to kill you
Orcs, goblins, kobolds, gnolls, and harpies all have numerous examples not not just being mindless monsters. Centaurs and ogres not so much but that's largely just a product of FP being poorly written and the centaur rework is changing that.
can I get a quick rundown on the centaur rework?
>Orcs
Literal bioweapons made by elven version of Yakub to kill all dwarves
>goblins
Range from murderous villains to israelites who try to infiltrate human societies from within (see Bayvek)
>gnolls
They literally invented slavery and worship demons.
>kobolds
They are just too ugly to live
>centaur rework is changing that.
Please don't, I'm tired of your moronic leftist psychononsence.
Try reading next time.
>You shouldn't kill them because 1 out of 100 is a good boy who dindu nuffin
I don't care if you have a complex about getting bullied too much in high school, the point is that genocides and ethnic cleansings are a historical rarity because they are only damaging to the nation performing them, the same would be true for the Anbennar nations hence why it is also a rarity in the setting.
>historical rarity
you are comparing real life humans to fricking fantasy monsters
Arguably historic empires are a bad example for a fantasy world with multiple races. Even more so considering that monstrous races as a concept exists with the other races not treating then as equals.
My main point still being that the player is disincentivized from engaging from the mechanic at all. It costs mana and gives you bad events with a lack of positives, you can always try to tolerate with all races and purging isn't even a standard stance for some tags which you're forced to endure until you can get rid of it.
As a consequence it's just kind of bad as a mechanic.
limited slots of accept cultures and lack of missionaries might make purging good on some tags
The main problem is just that due to the modern D&D model, along with skittishness towards inherent cognitive differences, there really aren't any psychological differences between the races, meaning that there really aren't multiple races, but simply green humans, pointy humans, short humans etc.
Personally I find this kind of worldbuilding stupid, limited and cowardly, because it substantially flattens the amount of potential your world holds. It also ruins immersion by somehow having the species of creatures explicitly created for war, who lived in a constant state of conflict for several millenia, somehow be capable of rapidly reforming into modern nation-states over the period of a couple of centuries, or by having a species of highly intelligent enlightened reddit athiests who somehow existed on an equal technological footing to their neighbors for the entire history of the setting.
The biological differences between the races should cause correspondingly large psychological and social differences. Imagine if elves couldn't empathise with humans because of the difference in time-preference, or if dwarves were inherently reclusive and xenophobic, and would only trade through intermediaries. Imagine if the orcs had a fundamentally aggressive psychology built on rule by strength and a raiding economy.
Unfortunately, due to both social/political and design issues, this kind of depth is never going to happen.
God your examples for elves and dwarves are dogshit.
Please point out one (1) piece of fantasy media, regardless of how old it is, where dwarves exist and aren't humans' #1 best friend.
Not him and didn't read his post but the elder scrolls
Not real dwarves to begin with.
(You)
Lord of the Rings
>by somehow having the species of creatures explicitly created for war, who lived in a constant state of conflict for several millenia, somehow be capable of rapidly reforming into modern nation-states over the period of a couple of centuries
Orcs weren't created for war, the Shattered Crown lore is non-canon.
>or by having a species of highly intelligent enlightened reddit athiests who somehow existed on an equal technological footing to their neighbors for the entire history of the setting
Gnomes historically were more advanced but then they got kneecapped by the kobold invasion.
>Orcs weren't created for war
Are you moronic? Them being created to kill dwarves is completely canon
>The biological differences between the races should cause correspondingly large psychological and social differences. Imagine if elves couldn't empathise with humans because of the difference in time-preference,
This is referenced in both Azkare and Jadd events.
Is D&D as opposed to races having different intelligence?
https://odd74.proboards.com/thread/14458/negative-ability-modifiers-officially-removed

Are we posting random discord screenshots?
I can't find this
did he delete it, or is it an edit?
He deleted the message with israelite in it, but if you search for "danubian" and sort by old you can find the first one. If it's just one message it's a lot harder to search.
>diversity is... LE BAD
stop working for the darkness and just accept the light of Surael and start banging your harem of monstergirls.
My dude your entire religion was an excuse for its founder to bang harpies. which is fair but isn't a sound foundation for a religion.
it is the SOUNDEST foundation ever
>accepting literal monsters is...LE GOOD
Yes, it is.
Goblins should gobble my wiener so that Surael wins
>just accept these people that just yesterday were literally eating people
No, I don't think I will.
Is Yinquan still unfinished/broken?
shes not that hot
She's a fox(y) lady
when are they adding the israelite country
wait...
actually now that I think about it... are the Dwarves israeli? I mean think about it
Bro.. theres literally a dwarven bank tag
gnomes, anon
unironically what besides the globogommo is israelite coded about them?
>Small minorities all over the west mainly found in cities
>Act as merchants and peddlers but keep to themselves in their enclaves
>Have their own separate faith which often crosses over into a philosophy and ceases to be religious
>Use their own separate incomprehensible babble language despite mostly living among people speaking something else
>Wear funny-looking hats
>Known for their stand-up comedy and academic overachievement

>form ethnic enclaves and retain language and religion instead of integrating
>cause actual problems for you even when integrated
>champions of racial integration everywhere except their homeland, where they want to purge all kobolds and restore a pure gnomish country
and, all this together: they are from the region of the game where the original creator retains the most creative control, and that same creator has displayed genuine antisemitism(not that there's anything wrong with that) in the past
actual problems for you even when integrated
Like what? They give useful buffs like 1% missionary strength and idea cost reduction, I've never seen any negative events with them
The gommo has been caught building tunnels under Anbenncost
you mean Isobelin?
I spilled baked beans all over myself watching a Seinathili opera in the theater & a gnomish teenager shouted "this homie eating beans" & everyone laughed.
How would you fix the Lake Federation and the Forbidden Plains?
Rules: neither of them can be deleted.
delete the serpentspine
Make the entire region one tiny province
Remove every province except one island
>Add Kukatodic tag
>Add a surviving mainland Zabatlari tag from the get go
>More mountain humans near the Runkusi
Major changes to the geography could help but there a pipedream. The Serpentspine is just a major design mistake.
Azka-Sur and the Serpentgift have 0 direct interaction while in our world even the steppest mountain range would be traversed through valleys to connect people to some degree.
Add stuff besides centaurs on the plains. Conan the Barbarian humans that refused to live like soft city dwellers. A black orc warband led by a madlad who wants to pillage the rich lake cities. A group of outcast mages who fled the lakes and want to overthrow the new federation, get revenge and liberate their oppressed compatriots. Castaways that got shipwrecked from one of the treasure ships. Tribes from the west that got pushed out of their land by the greytide. Just add different experiences, right now there's only three p much, lakemen centaurs and ogres, and they're pretty homogeneous.
Also, RETVRN centaurs to migrating OPMs. It organically insulated the region from being eaten by outsiders and organically opened it up when a blob coalesced on the plains, all while being more fun that being a blob that move capitals sometimes. The proposed "outpost" system for the plains is literally just a janky province modifier-driven mess that adds up to being regular colonization with extra steps. Just trash all that, let it be decolonized, it's fine. Oh nooo, it's isolated, well yeah if it's not isolated then it all just gets devoured by Jaddari or some shit. So it's better for FP to be isolated in the early game.
As for the lakefed itself, they need to be fricking devastated. They were razed by centaurs a few years before 1444 and it's not noticeable. Their dev should be shattered, devastation everywhere, Lilac Wars-esque events, it should feel like a crisis that's barely held at bay. Maybe some rebellious states in there too that refuse to accept the federation. Just frick their shit up. Also stop spawning them free institutions, what the frick is that.
The southern lake fed already starts with like 80% devastation do you even play the mod?
Yeah but literal Devastation goes away very quickly, even at such high numbers it's not really noticeable unless you add a province modifier with monthly devastation to offset the regeneration. Basically just frick their shit up even harder is what I mean, it would inject more excitement into a region that mostly boils down to "wait for mana to tick up to click missions". The forced wars do that a bit but it's clearly not enough
>A black orc warband led by a madlad who wants to pillage the rich lake cities
Weird how this doesn't exist despite there being a literal exit from the serpentspine to the plains.
>Anbennar devs in charge of thinking of the implications of geography across regions.
No one outside of Beikdugang knows the Lake Fed even exists, even the other treasure fleet cities just know of them as some weird guys who come around to sell shit every couple of years. Which is moronic in and of itself but also a different problem.
>Lilac Wars-esque events
those events are nothingburgers
>When the wood elves eat shit and you have to conquer a deepwoods with zero fricking trade value
Grug no care. Grug like republics. Grug like genocide. Grug like forbidden plains. Simple as.
>Bennon

>every inbred moron in escann decides to make a religion out of a girl who fricked orcs
>they proceed to frickup the entire stability of the civilized world
At last i see, no wonder everyone hates corinites. Normal people liked the regent court, normal orcs liked dookanism, corinism is just miscigenated idiots addicted to violence=the religion.
Corinite is just american BBC worship
>Arg-Ordstun is depicted as some sort of unkillable big dick hold
>doesn't even have a mission tree
its tree is being made at this moment
What's it gonna be about, replacing amldihr as the primary hold?
dwarves blame orcs and goblins for their downfall but they were already killing themselves in the millions because some dude all the way from rubyhold thought a gem looked nice
If you look up eastern dwarovar lore it's nothing but a comedy of errors. At one point one of the holds in the tree of stone planned to relieve one of the holds in the jade mines which was under siege by an exceptionally large orc/goblin host, and they planned to get there over the surface (as they themselves were under a light siege by another orc host in the tunnels) but then the alcoholic dwarves taunted them and called them pussies for planning to walk over rahen so instead they suicidally charged into the tunnels and got their own hold, plus the hold they planned to save, destroyed in the process.
>they suicidally charged into the tunnels and got their own hold, plus the hold they planned to save, destroyed in the process.
Were they playing dota 2 by any chance?
Cause of death: too much banter
I believe I have expanded beyond my means.
Just a number
I think escann orcs got buffed quite a bit along sarhal release, you might be experiencing that.
I thought orcs were supposed to be bad catching up technologically?
I'm 16 years ahead on both diplo and mil and I'm about to hit the mil cap again, I didn't even get good rulers after my starting one this run.
Cannor is unlocked, get to work and improve the nations, homies
rude
i'm doing my part
I'm considering reworking Reveria but I am far too lazy to build a design document rn
Does it need a full rework? Maybe a partial rework to include the Divenhal kingdom in Tef.
I want to include the following:
Divenhal permaclaims & loredump events, maybe some tributary cbs in the region. Province renames too
Derannic & pearlsedge culture flip to their extinct gerudian variants decisions with province renames
Missions about going south, to the sarhali halfling isles
Maybe some new artificer things, now that the system has undergone a rework
Add some mutually exclusive rewards for either going the thought or skaldhyrric
And of course I'll be looking for suggestions.
Its been a long time since I made the MT and I've learned a lot since due to all the other trees I've made, but it's always been my favourite.
Claiming the Kheteratan Delta, Reveria needs to secure exclusive access to Gnomes
Would be nice if it focused more on cannor/old world, i fricking hate colonization
why not play 90% of the other cannor tags then
Because Reveria is cool and unique, its the only Human artificery tag, also even though I hate colonization, Reveria was the tag that I enjoyed it the most.
Not that anon, but personally for me the idea that every tag that is or can go Thought in the game is focused on colonization is mindboggling design, since you give away your colonial land to subjects and thus can't harmonize. As a vanilla confucian enjoyer, I can see its Anbennar equivalent has been made purely for the sake of gnome flavor without much practical consideration and it's a bit of a shame
yeah this rework would add more sarhal+bulwar content and make an emperor reveria more viable as I plan to give the pearlsedge PU the "righteous inheritance" mechanic from the bohemia>brandenburg PU mission in vanilla
Go ahead and draft it bro, tho i rather have the hierarchy reworked than Reveria
I'm not gonna rework someone elses tree, that sounds way too much like work.
I will design another diverse mission tree about accepting every race in Halann
This, what anbennar desperately needs more than anything else is more racially diverse, corinite embracing, wholesome chungus girlpower republics.
>racially diverse
Only if it's not "catch them all"
>cor*nite
no
>girlpower
based
There is a form to propose 3D models on the discord in dev announcements
How the frick do I beat Lorent?
Stack diplorep and ally Wesdam/Pearlsedge, gnomes and Gawed.
Only Wesdam and Gawed are willing to joing me, Lorent has positive relations with everyone else.
Use favors to reduce relations or vassalize someone who is at war with Lorent so that you would get in defensive war with them
I did it just with Wesdam and Gawed 😀 !!!
Gawed even had the decency to separate peace so they don't get trust loss from me not giving them land.
holy shit there are 97 provinces in the deepwoods now
for what purpose
They are trying hard to convince you to disable the deepwoods
Why did they restrict the Destroy Tribe requirements to a single province? You're almost never going to catch any of these Escann orc or goblin nations with only one province, and you can't take provinces to reduce them to one until way later when you've settled. You can almost never do this shit, and by the time you could, why the frick would you use 50% warscore to do it instead of just taking the one province? Makes the whole thing pointless
How is the gameply in south alentir? Can you force institutions by dev'ing up your capital or are you stuck in the stone ages like the boek/kwineh/ynek/etc?
the not!Greek can dev institution i fi remember correctly
Even the barbaroi on the island with them can dev institutions
cute little Anbenncost!
Orcs completely stomp Escann in all my playthroughs on this version.
Is Varamhar the hardest opening out of the sun elf nations? You're way smaller and weaker than the others except maybe Azka Evran but they're surrounded by pitiful goblins that are easy to eat up rather than the war wizard harpies
You can get your own war wizard though without too much trouble and after that you can slaughter your way across Bulwar. They do probably have the hardest first 1440s though.
Azka-Evran is hardest
>my vassal's colonial nation eats up my colonial nation
>I can't do anything to stop it
Vassal Management> Block colonization
Never let vassals colonize in the first place, it always ends up fricking up the borders

they cute, they just need to simp for the right dragon(Aakhet)
Would Aakheterata have a mission to accept kobolds from the dragon coast? Or would they reject the spawn of the wicked chromatics?
I'm finally gonna do verkal dromak, any tips or anything I should know?
How do you guys think FP can be fixed? no deleting it)
at least wait for a new thread
Genuinely forgot, thanks
are you just gonna ask this every thread jaybean
I don't think jay is the type to ask for advice like this
make cool and unique tags
Just give every lake fed state a unique mission tree, make cenatur invasion a disaster and allow centaur state to fully annex lakeded without 3000k rebels spawning every month
I am fricking sick and tired of orcs completely shitting up Escann every time I play in another region.
I will manually edit the game files to nerf them. They are simply crazy overpowered right now.
If I had the game installed right now I'd make a mod to do that. Its a good idea.
I'd give all of the Escann orc starting tags a 100 year national spirit debuff to discipline, morale, tax income, and building cost/speed. Maybe throw on some others like fort defense, just for fun.
My reasoning for this is simple. Their god just died and they are savage divided foreigners in a war ravaged land and that I hate Black folk.
bro... I'd buff remnant dwarves, them dying always causes a mess
the orcs should be powerful early.
>want to play as gn*mes
>despise colonizing
>already played Giberd twice
what do?
Don't colonize? Duh
Invade Sarhal
Play your own way and conquer cannor, the colonizing branch of GH gives you nothing other than precursor relics i guess
Play Portnnam, form Iochand and then play tall and frick over Gawed, Lorent and any other nascent power
>hey can I add to *piece of lore that exists in multiple regions*?
>no, don't touch my region
>but it doesn't conflict with the existing timeline, it only gives it an explicit background

Reddit mod sounding ass Black folk
Hey Redeyeflight, b***hing on Ganker will look very good to the moderators :3
Not him, but they are all homosexuals and should be made fun of
Especially Auirus who has a superiority complex
And a victim complex
What's the context for this
Someone made the, likely in good faith, remark that if people wanted to cut down the number of provinces in game they would need to convince Auirus and Gilly and he took it as people complaining about him.
Now the idea in of itself is bad so the people deserve to be bullied for liking it but still unwarranted.
They are not in good faith, they are the troon Amanda's bootlickers who will shit on anything that is not theirs in the mod.
meds
Imagine feeling bad for the people in power
That's a great way to put it
Ah so it's druplesnubb? Even better
Which dwarven hold is your favourite?
Either Kanzad or Silverforge
Hul-az-Krakazol, the hold that has two states of being for its entire existence: being too drunk to be functional, and being sober enough to start shitflinging towards their own allies to indirectly cause their downfall.
Marrhold. I also enjoyed Verkal Ozovar
Not a fan of dwarves in general but Dur-Vazhatun and its gimmick were cool.
just traveling to the other side of the world as an adventurer company and reclaiming one of the eastern holds
felt really epic
There.
Fixed your mod for you.
>here's your damescrown mission tree bro
why tho?
what justification is there for this ugly ass shit
Dark green is land you'll need to own directly (lol)
Light green is TC territory with orcish slaves
Purple is the Arbaran march, brown are halfling puppets, blue is a bank (?) ran by the kobolds
That doesn't seem right. Why not just all the inner coast in Cannor and tall money making?
>not conquering south
>not conquering north
>it's real
if this is accepted and not Ancardia invading Damescrown I'm gonna kms
Anon... it's already accepted...
Now I just need to make Ancardia not be another "conquer Escann by 1550 and don't get any unique content" or I will have to die.
Good luck anon
Sadly no religion content is in, because canonically Ancardia and Escann went Corinite.. not sure why that matters but ok
???
The trade node rework and its consequences have been a disaster for the Crownsman race.
WHAT THE FUUUUUUUCK
I'm playing dwarves for the first time. Is it a better idea to try and run for the unoccupied holds as fast as possible or just follow the mission tree and build up before risking goblin war?
It's better to quit out and not play dwarves.
Bit late I'm 20 years in. Also I've just found out they really suit my playstyle given I normally play at speed 1 or 2 and tab out repeatedly to go do other stuff. Should have played them years ago.
>tab out repeatedly to go do other stuff
>Tab back in
>4 crises have popped
Very fun gameplay for very fun individuals
what are you on about dwarves are super fun
Hate em. Simple as.
Yeah, going for roads and holds is what you should try to do in the early game (also expeditions if they're near you). Bonus points if you can maximize settler growth and get the +1 colony dev age bonus. I'm guessing you're ahead with mil tech so you can fight the natives. You should also try to dev your hold so you can handle the early game colony cost burden if you can do that.
Your next favourite region, xir.
>Humans marry ogres for love
Good, sounds like a nice place.
"no racism land" can be ok if there's gameplay
but I have my doubts about xis ability to deliver
What's the artificery hold for dorfs, orlgaylover?
Ogrelovah
Didn't know there was a dwarf tag on the new continent, I'll check it out
if they want less provinces then they can remove more of the Forbidden plains ones
Heh watch this you homosexuals: Orleghovar
That's right I can actually spell it
Aakhet owes me Bulwar
they really should give Verkal Kozenad some content considering how they will form 99,99999% of the time.
How do I eat anbennar?
not winnable, restart
Frick you
Why not?
why are you spending time inside the mountains
send some tanned elfussy
looks winnable too me
I don't want to win them, I want them to dissolve automatically
Build over force limit, stack disc(my theory is that it affects thing), be ahead in mil tech
Nvm, all I had to do was declare on opm and let them rape me until he agreed to white peace
What's the religion of the Empire? Of there's no eligible candidate (no monarchies with the dominant faith) Anbennis can dissolve on its own. It should still be possible.
Why bother? You could just take lands of your enemies and that coalition wasn't that strong, judging by your screenshot
Coalition war is never worth it due to higher cost of provinces and the fact that you can't make separate peaces. I'll rather truce break
any upcoming MTs that aren't senseless blobs to keep you distracted from EU4 being shit?
Yeah this one
it's so over
Roadwarrior, Silverforge, Seinathil, Moonhaven, Verkal Ozovar, Beikdugang
dogshit taste
dogshit game
can you explain how it would be possible for that to be the case?
>Forget to deocuppy 1 rebel owned island
>300% OE worth of lands breaks away with all my cores
Nice mechanics
I made a custom MT for a nation on this mod but I feel like I bloated it to hell. There are like 20 missions and events just in the prelude to the actual MT. Feels more like a HOI4 focus tree than EU4.
Is this acceptable game design?
You should make multiple routes and split missions like Venail did
You do you. Don't let big Anbennar crush your dreams.
>t.Ameion MT maker
Just remember that when you design that many early missions, the player will have already consolidated the region by 1450 and skipped past all your requirements.
I have a failsafe for that in forming Vrorenmarch by decision.
At that point it just drops you straight into the main MT if you were somehow able to break free and conquer everything manually. You don't even lose out on the free culture-conversions on the orc provinces since I moved them from the civil war end event to the start of the MT.
So it's some kind of White Reachmen rebellion in Frozenmaw? Reminds me of the Sir thing for the Command (which is also getting reworked to have its own war)
Whoever thought of SIR and managed to keep it in the game is a genius.
Probably the same guy who made the Wuhyun name for Raheni "shit-men", unfortunately it was pointed out and changed to some unpronounceable name as is Raheni tradition.
Kusonin was the Yan name actually.
uhm no
What is that even? Legit never seen it before.
Xerlanza? Just one of the Gold Kobold formables. I think there's a couple of choices.
Sir is a city the Command conquered recently before the start date, they stage a revolt in the first couple of years (possibly puppeteered by outside powers)
The tag is their releasable
SIR, DO NOT REDEEM THE COMMAND SIR
Yeah, Rivsby is the only White Reachman tag without any ideas so I gave it to them.
I want to have two paths for Vrorenmarch, one for Crovis victory in the opening wars where you look Westward eventually forming The Reach and the other for the rebels where you go East and eventually become a new tag, with a focus on orc and centaur slavery.
Forming by decision still locks you onto one of the paths, I'll decide later how to handle that if I make it there.
getting 2 entire regions for free, including cores, is moronicly OP. Reduce it to just getting cores on whatever frozenmaw has left.
It's only Frozenmaw's lands.
What the frick just happened? Playing as Corvuria and got the PU over Asheniande, then like a year later they randomly broke off for no reason. Also my war wizard king became detached from the army he was on at the same time, it's like the game thought he died, even though I've still got him. But even if that was the case, I got them up to positive relations so a death shouldn't dissolve the PU anyway
>War wizard king
What are you doing. Yeah he probably died. I'm guessing if he's a vampire or lich or something he comes back, but that's done through an event after he dies, so it'd still count as him dying. Don't make your immortal leaders a general. It puts their life on the general time limit and they'll die even if they are immortal. If they weren't immortal then I don't know what to tell you, sound like something funky happened.
He didn't die or anything, he's fine. I'm the EoA anyway so that would have fired if it was the case. Also not sure how he would be a lich and I wouldn't know
Ok yeah I thought there was just more to the story you weren't telling. So he's just a completely regular dude? No long life or immortal tag in his description? You didn't do a mission that altered him in some way which caused it? If that's the case, probs just janky mod antics. I would advise not making rulers you want to keep into generals anyway.
It's just the 0/5/6 starting heir, I'm only 30 years into the game. I'm wondering if it might be some weird thing going on with Asheniande, do they get some kind of event to break the PU if you do the mission that steals dev from them?
Oh yeah there might be some interaction between the trees actually. I know a lot of events in the mods will send a message to another tag and what they pick determines what happens in your mission.
>it's like the game thought he died, even though I've still got him
To be fair I've had my warmage ruler king die once and he still was shown as an available general.
There is a option to cancel the PU if opinions, not liberty desire, is bad enough or if rebels enforce demands on them.
Okay, this is actual bullshit now. I went to war to PU Asheniande a second time, had them for like 30 years this time, even maintaining the PU through a ruler death, then they randomly broke it off again with 0 liberty desire and over 100 relations. Ruler wasn't even a general this time, so nothing strange could happen there. I assumed last time it was some kind of response to a mission, but I think the code is just fricked
I think it's probably smt with their vampire estate
did they break to pretender rebels?
I went and killed any rebels that popped up, so they shouldn't have. I can only guess it was some vampire estate shit like that other guy said, since they were drowning in vampire rebels before I took them over. Weird that it would take so long after the fact though
any effect or event that would change their ruler (without changing yours) would break the PU, it's possible they had the "vampire installs thrall" disaster? If so that should be disabled for Junior Partners in a personal union but the vampire stuff is pretty bugged a lot of the time.
Are half orcs the most disgusting abominations?
No, there is one thing worse than a half orc. May Castellos forgive me for uttering the word, but c*rin worshippers are a thing.
Same thing
Only their human half.
Vrorenmarch vs Grombar is like Ukraine vs Russia... think about it...
grombar is competent thoughever
Grombar is clearly the based one though since they have the state mandated Tomboy orc wives
Both your orcish wife and your Russian wife allow you to rape during war
Which tags would you liked to be reworked? Not Cannorian MTs with 0 content, I mean MTs that are recent or "good enough" that they are likely never going to be reworked by the devs and can only hope for a sub-mod
Marrhold, my beloved, and I think liked well enough by many others, it's MT is good and decently sized already but I'd like to see new artificery included in it, perhaps late game branches into gawed/empire territory
Everything in dragon coast. It's THE artificer region, yet all the interesting artificer tags are somewhere else. It would probably need a lore shakeup too.
Those will be reworked tho
who asked you?
Dragon coast sure, telgeir probably not
Telgier MT is awful doe
I asked you for X and you gave me Y, b***h
trve, it's the kind of project a programmer does so that the company will need him forever to maintain it
Telgeir/Vanbury Guild
time for old MTs to catch up with the new artificery
Azkare. The convocation thing is a pretty awful, annoying, and needlessly convoluted mechanic but nobody will ever have the balls to say that out loud, because more effort put into something must = good
The missions are pretty shit as well and break a lot of conventions of good mission design, but again it's so bloated nobody will ever want to touch it.
its made by a troon thats why it cant be criticised
The convocation is fine so long as you understand how to manipulate GC, and it makes for an interesting gimmick being a blob tag with very low governing capacity.
The mission where you have to get like 15 dev and 3 buildings in every single province can frick off though.
Venail could benefit from a facelift, rebalance, and interconnection with all the new Aelantir stuff that's been made over the years, but I fear that whoever does it will just rip out the story of becoming the BBEG and replace it with wholesome chungus stuff.
Aelantir would benefit from having 1000 elven reclaimers who all genocide ruinborn but in a wholesome way like dwarves in serpentspine
make the non-Rianvisa path be wholesome Aelnar that doesn't commit genocide or turn too facism
Rezekand. Unfortunately, it's already on the way, and it appears they're dropping the whole conquistador thing for some moronic "tolerant crusade against evil" anti-esclavagism thing, which is lame as frick.
>tolerant crusade against evil
which is funny considering the NSC view on non-bulwari...
Their view is sjw wokeism where they accept everyone except the evil religions.
More "evil" erasure, everyone must be tolerant
Chaingrasper for sure. Their MT is just generic magic nation shit. Its nothing but very safe and boring stuff flavorless events like "Make Magic Swords" and "Summon Elementals". No choices, no events, just boredom.
I hate that god awful MT. The ryanvista is just Game of Thrones slop. A nation of 7000 elves living under a republic for centuries fall into a civil war that spawns +100k rebels because the newly crowned royal family had an oppsie. How drama. What intrigue!
Magisterium, they founded anbennar, but their MT is dogshit
Click click
get devved get devved
Only kill the bat-noised Noruinics, others are fine
don't want to colonize so I guess this is it
Why are the core Hierarchy borders so ugly anyway
As with most ugliness in the world, the fault lies with Al*nics
it'd look much more aesthetic if the moors were peopled by Moor Gnomes and the small country was owned by its rightful small brethren
Don't worry, you aren't missing anything, enjoy your +5% movement speed and +1 tolerance of the true faith bro
>+5% movement speed
the kobolds are gone dude
the promisedand belongs to the promised people
You think gnomes aren't smart enough to steal their movement speed before genocidong the lizards?
I really like playing as dwarven adventurers but I've formed every hold already.
It's over.
What are your favorite holds?
ovdal tungr, rubyhold and castonath
Seghdihr was peak comfy
>play Seghdihr
>Azka-Sur literally refuses too declare war or conquer anything
>don't play Seghdihr
>Azka-Sur death wars someone within 10 years of the game starting
I just
Why did they make Corin an anime waifu?
How else would she garner so much worship fast enough
A recall expedition button would be the best thing ever because this is annoying why the frick are you people carrying on to level 6 with my loot. TURN BACK!
ride or die, all in, pedal to the metal, risk it for the biscuit, etc.
don't be a b***h boy
bro how the frick u gon find them
Seems like the devs made another unnecessary and moronic change that no one likes(tier 5 reforms), I wonder how long till they shut down any discourse again
Eh I find it fine tbh, tho you will pretty much always use half-elven or dwarven
Hate that they removed the artillery barrage and army drill gain
