RG350 family of devices run on a much older processor and is a clone of an older device called GCW Zero.
RG351 family runs on a somewhat newer processor and has better performance in more games, and runs Retroarch by default (though you should still install custom firmware like AmberElec, formerly 351Elec).

RG351M and RG351P are devices fitted with a 480x320 resolution screen. This makes them perfect for GBA games (2x scale 240x160), as well as multiple handheld systems like Game Boy Color, Game Gear, Neo Geo Pocket Color, Pokémon Mini.
But it makes them poorly suited to home console games like NES, SNES, Genesis, PS1, N64, because it has to scale them at non-uniform percentiles.
This particular family is known to have issues with the battery not reporting its charge properly or the internal USB controller connector not waking properly from sleep, but generally functions well when you keep the device charged.

RG351MP and RG351V are devices fitted a 640x480 resolution screen, so a majority of handheld and home console games look great on it with simple 2x scaling or sharp-billinear 2x prescale shaders.
GBA games are the ones that will not scale uniformly, but it looks far more presentable than you might expect.

There are more systems launched by Anbernic since then like RG552 and another one that resembles a North American SNES controller, but I'm not familiar with them.

Sounds like I should get the 351 then

What was wrong with the other two android chink portable threads op?

Why would you want that? The first thing you should be doing when you get these things is install an OS like JELOS or Elec

I thought about that but I find landscape handhelds more comfortable, especially when laying down

This anon is correct, I use a 351p which works great for handhelds although I use a real GBA with a modded screen
I'd get other real handhelds but the screen mods are terrible and don't give the proper look that this device can output

hey wiz, do you use arkos? I need gbc games on my 351m to run with rga scaling but not on gba. I cant seem to get cores to work independently basically. Any idea?

    > analogue sticks
man I really dislike all of these devices have analogue sticks... if you're only ever playing 2d games maybe the og psp is best? that gives you up to the ps1 era + gba... but I haven't seen any decent "retro devices" that do the same.

    >another chink handheld thread
Stop making them rich by buying handhelds for 100 bucks when they cost like 1dollar to produce (and feel like a 10$ device)

can anyone help me pick between this and the gameforce chi? I can get both for same price, I am tempted by screen of gameforce and ergonomics, but the build quality and buttons of 351s are tempting

      Anonymous

Pretty sure the only thing the Gameforce has over the 351MP is ergonomics and possibly EmuELEC support.
