The game looked like shit with poor combat and terrible FFXIII UI Font elements
The QTE Cinematic Events were cringe that resembles a game from the PS3 era
The graphics looked meh and the music was meh too
The story was typical overdramatic FF shit with some Sonic '06 sprinkled in(the kid turning into the pheonix = Elise tears breaking Iblis seal) and the character designs are laughable and stick out like a sore thumb against the backdrop of a realistically rendered medieval-style world

FF games have all looked so fricking boring since XII.
It's less magical and interesting settings, the plots aren't interesting, the characters lack personality, the gameplay seems more shallow. There's none of that feeling of going on an adventure in a unique world, looking forward to exploring dungeons and towns, having fun characters together in a party.
It's like they felt like they had to "grow up" and the result are these bland games that are afraid to be carefree and fun.
