Apparently Bethesda forgot to make the game into something people actually wanted. They deserve all the shit they get for not getting this basic thing right. Now imagine how bad TES VI is going to be.

Starfield is just too soulful for gamers. Todd really wanted to make his dream game come true and Starfield feels like something a 50 year old gamer would make. Its no surprise to see that modern gamers are turned off by it but im glad innovators and risk makers making games that arent EGS troony slop pandering to everyone like modern games.

You know my schizo theory on starfield's failure is the complete lack of masculinity in the marketing or the game itself.

    lets look at Skyrim:
    >Shadowy images of a badass nordic warrior in armor and a horned helm dual wielding swords, puffing his chest out, skyrims trailer is legendarily historic and features that same warrior fighting and killing a dragon, shouting the Thu'um with immense testosterone, edited scenes of battles

    Fallout 3-4:
    >Ominous and thick set of power armor, covered in scratches, various videos and marketing of a vault dweller blasting and shooting up a wasteland full of zombie ghouls and mutants and raiders, always a man with a gun

Starfield? various images of men and women in some artsy poster, some people in spacesuits looking at stuff. Sarah Morgan, the poster girl, is incredibly boring in both appearance and personality, and Barrett is no Han Solo, he's a limpwristed comic relief with a flat voice actor. The most interesting thing in the Starfield marketing is the robot Vasco, which is just some expeditionary robot. There's nothing exciting or masculine in any of Starfield's marketing. Even Star Wars and Star Trek featuer all these badass action scenes and a man holding a lightsaber at some point looking badass. Starfield is flattened and sanitized for "all genders and sexes" and excels nowhere. RDR2's cerebral and melancholic story is lampshaded by Arthur Morgan looking aggressive and tough and pointing a pistol at you on the game cover, shooting and threatening people in the trailers.

Starfield comes across as some up-its-own-ass walking or space sim, not the action packed space odyssey Bethesda wants players to think it is. Even before the Bethesda label and the marketing, they've flopped on the marketing that had always succeeded for them since 2008. Actually even sooner, Oblivion had tough imagery of a Cyrodiil guard in armor. Starfield doesnt even try to grab the average dude.

      Way overthinking it
It was just rushed, untested, buggy, unoptimized corporate trash designed by investors and "ideas guys"

That's not schizo you're just an insecure moron on a level nobody thought possible or a woman pretending to be a man.

      >Skyrim succeeded because it had a gruff sweaty muscled hunk on the cover
      >Fallout succeeded because it had a huge, buff, scary looking imposing faceless supersoldier on the cover
      >Starfield failed because it wasn't gay eno- Because it was too feminine
      Noted.

Regardless it isn’t a very good game. I did notice that the dialogue options are very feminine instead of that neutral/masculine tone. More often than not, I couldn’t find an option that I wanted to choose

Probably emil overcompensating for fallout 3 dialogue where characters attack eachother for no reason.

Snoys review bomb games. There's an entire snoy discord dedicated to making steam accounts, buying starfield, leaving a bad review and then refunding.

Really the only people who bought it on steam are those review bombing it with refunds and the moronic bethesdrones. You could play the game on gamepass yet these people spent 70 dollars at least to play it on steam.

i belive it. someone posted screenshots earlier from some discord that was dedicated to making threads shitting on starfield and then bumping it with more hate. in fact those discord troons probably made this very thread

I think starfield would be cool with some mods. You have a space ship and resources and shit they could fricking fix it.
Also Bethesda is so dumb. The cops just attack you unless you pay the fine then they put you in prison like it's fricking elder scrolls the dumb asswipes. What they needed was a courtroom where you can plead your case (or fight out of). Then at least you can get on planet without exp debt.
    >exp debt
why the frick do you even need rpg leveling in a game with everything based on UPGRADING TECHNOLOGY?
