How come? Always hear everyone talk about how amazing it is.
watch the original series its worth
Yeah I think that's what I'm going to watch. Downloaded the directors cut 20-something episodes and some end of evangelion movie but I probably won't watch that one.
It's worth it for the "experience" but each individual part of the pie (original anime, EoE, rebuilds) are very flawed and most people give up at some point
If you're curious about it, probably.
It's something special and it had a huge influence.
Just keep your expectations reasonable. It's still a children's cartoon with lots of cringe. Though by the end it feels kind of fricked up that it was still marketed at children tbh.

>rei does literally everything for shinji's dad aproval >stupid moron manages to get everything wrong
Do you idiots train to be this stupid or does it come naturally to you?
The original one for general culture purposes, although they padded it the moment they run out of budget.
Pirate everything, and don't ever touch the new shit, even for free. It is just anno running out of money and milking the nerds he despises because they are stupid enough to pay him to shit on their faces.
This is like asking if something like Half-Life is notable or if Doom or Mario influenced anything. It's one of the classics for a reason. It's strengths are it's character writing and introspective character stories, juxtaposed against technically impressive animation and sound design.
Had you asked this anywhere outside of here, this would've been answered with a resounding yes before you even finished your sentence. To call it a cornerstone of the medium is probably an understatement, it's iconic enough that every other week there's a bait thread of "is EVA overrated?".
You mean a game that looks anime or a game based on a specific anime?
Because the entire Tales series is the former.
But there has never been a game based on an anime that wasn't shit.
The one where the mc is a young shounen and his best friend is a needlessly aggressive tomgirl who wants to frick him but refuses to admit it, and the mc is too stupid to notice.
All of them
bloodborne
None of them
the one with the e-girl character in it
7th Dragon III is so god damn anime and it is a triumph.
This one too.

It was really cool in the 90s but standards have changed and there's better stuff. Like Knights of Sidonia.
I don't watch anime at all so that won't affect me. I grew up on dragon Ball and that's all the anime I ever consumed.
dragon ball still holds up.
what makes sidonia good, never watched
It helped define a lot of ideas that are taken for granted now but was flawed at the time and those flaws are much more obvious now.
Still solid and worth watching but definitely do not over-invest in the hype.
Disgaea, Valkyria Chronicles
you do gotta be careful because most of them are complete garbage with as little gameplay as possible
No
yes
Asuka is best cumdumpster
I prefer the manga to any of the anime adaptations but the original series and End of Evangelion are good. I'd skip the rebuilds completely.
watch the original series its worth
I've been watching anime for 15 years and still haven't found anything better
T. Exclusively watches seasonal iyakishei shit
Only the original series + End of Evangelion.
Everything else is shit or a waste of time.

Nah, just read Schopenhauer, Sartre, Zarathustra and some Freud and skip the dumb anime bullshit
I did not enjoy it but you might. Do you relate to or enjoy a pussy b***h main character? May just be for you
i am a pussy b***h irl so yes.
No.
Afro Samurai
Its legitimately the worst anime ever made. At least other bad anime are just bland, evangelion is so bad its actually an insult to the audience.
It's highly overrated and Misato is best girl. Anyone that says otherwise is a homosexual.
>misato kissing shinji
PP very hard
Nothing with ~~*bisexual*~~ representation is good.
Who's bisexual
Shinji. Mari also likes to violate Asuka's personal space.
>Rebuild shit
To the trash it goes
It's not just an amazing anime. It's art by any standard.
>muh waifu is better than yours
lmao shit anime, shit "waifus"
>rei does literally everything for shinji's dad aproval
>stupid moron manages to get everything wrong
Do you idiots train to be this stupid or does it come naturally to you?
>NOOOOOO YOU JUST DON'T GET MY HECKING ANIME!!!!
have a nice day
NPC response
why would you waifu either of these characters
>calling all anime girls "waifus"
Like a true NPC.

It's worth watching but that doesn't mean it's good.
not really
No, it's pseudo garbage for people that like to smell their own farts.

>impressive animation
>every episode is filled with painfully drawn out single shots
>last two episodes are a powerpoint presentation
Yes, one of the best animes ever.
