and i'm tired of pretending otherwise. it's always shitty turn-based JRPG's with 70 minutes of cutscenes, and Visual "Novels", some quircky Earthbound-inspired indie RPG about depression, or, the worst offender, gachashit. the ONLY good anime subgenre is fighting games.
>bu...but
tell me one anime game as remotely good as Quake, Half-Life, Resident Evil, Super Metroid, TF2 or Homeworld

>no refutal
You mean the part where someone names a game and you say "no"? Surely we can skip that part.
>Name game
>Say its shit/doesn't count
Why bother when I can just call you a homosexual?
Cute girl (male)!
You're lackluster and we've never pretended otherwise.
>shitty turn-based JRPG's with 70 minutes of cutscenes
all AAA western RPGs with 'realistic' graphics released in the last 10 years have more cutscene time than gameplay time. Correct me if you can.
GoW2 has like 10 hours of gameplay and 20h of cutscenes, which is as impressive as someone piling up 200 tons of human shit in one spot.
>whataboutism
hahaha
you're probably just gonna pretend some random garbage like persona, FE, FGO, Tales or Tsukihime is akshually a misunderstood masterpiece and i got "filtered" for avoiding them lmao
Name a WRPG (You) have personally played that is more complex than Troubleshooter.
inb4 he names a game that came out 20 years ago
He's not going to name any game because he's never played a complex CRPG and I'm betting he's a moronic Brazilian judging by the anime fighting comment.
i don't play WRPG
>srpg that from my initial look at 5 seconds of it is just xcom with more stats
interesting enough i will remember but never get around to playing it compared to more conventional shit i play, but much higher chance of me playing it than playing 90% of srpgs
Is that actually good? I like TRPGs like FFT/Tactics Ogre, and I also like build autism like the Pathfinder games. The game just looks a bit too chinese so I haven't tried it yet
>Is that actually good? I like TRPGs like FFT/Tactics Ogre, and I also like build autism like the Pathfinder games
It's better than the goyslop you play, that's for sure.
Not anon but I've had fun with it, I'm only about 12 hours in but it's got a lot of neat stuff. It's janky in places and rough around the edges but it's got ambition and a whole lot of content.
It's made by asiatic. You can't expect Jap devs to ever create an XCOM-like. They are content with churning out the same 4-troony in a row games.
Wtf is '4-troony in a row games'
/misc/ brainrot has destroyed this poor soul
idk what "whataboutism" means but I always say trannies on twitter say it when they get raped in an argument, so I assume it's bullshit
Lol lmao
Eh, that's just 1 exposition part towards the second half of the game. There's plenty more gameplay sequences than cutscenes in those games anyway.
You should've used Xenosaga instead which actually has hour long cutscenes.
>GoW2 has like 10 hours of gameplay and 20h of cutscenes
Ok, I will, moron parroting bullshit. The cutscenes make around 30% of the Total playtime.
liar liar
telltale hallways are cutscenes too, shill articles won't count those or the parts where it's a cutscene with 1 or 2 QTEs.
This video features some 10-20s portions of actual gameplay that fit within 2 cutscenes, but 90% of this is just cutscene or telltale hallway time.
"Anime games," are not a fricking genre you twat.
>the ONLY good anime subgenre is fighting games.
Anime games are easily the worst fighting games by a country mile, why would I want to play an extremely shitty version of mahvel
>Another smoothbrain that doesn't realize RE is anime as frick just because the character designs are SLIGHTY less anime
you have no idea what anime means
It was until 7 dropped
Ace Combat 3
Dragon Quest is great. XI S especially. Most anime games are absolutely shit though.
Danganronpa was a good ace attorney permutation. Gravity Rush is also good.
>some quircky Earthbound-inspired indie RPG about depression
This isn't remotely related to virtually any anime games.
This is a specifically western indie game problem.
Etrian Odyssey
also metroid is anime
Valkyria Chronicles is fantastic.
Scarlet Nexus is pretty underrated
What do I win?
anime Suzi <3
I just want a fantasy game where I can self insert and roleplay as a cute anime girl (male)
>VISUAL NOVELS ARE LE BAD BECAUSE I SAID SO
Its obvious you dont know shit about them
Half life is the only boomer shooter I dropped, long boring campaign, no music, flaccid set pieces. Betrays everything good about the genre
>fateshit
thats on you tbh
Didn't they censor this in the all-ages version?
No shit, theyre anime.
>tell me one anime game as remotely good as Quake, Half-Life, Resident Evil, Super Metroid, TF2 or Homeworld
Any Persona game
>Code Vein
>Sword Art Online
>God Eater
Are there any other anime styled games?
>Sword Art Online
You’d think a series solely about getting trapped inside a video game would have at least one good vidya entry after around 6 or so individual games released
Some of them were positively received here. I actually found the first Western release on Vita to be quite good as a portable psuedo-MMO.
Fatal Bullet was the only good one because no other has waifu character creation
As in you can create a npc waifu to your specifications, or just your usual CC stuff for the player character? If the former how heavily involved in the game are they?
*slide*
punch god in the face
technically every game is anime
>quircky Earthbound-inspired indie RPG
hello redit!
