Here's the thing. If the game was like this baseline, I probably wouldn't give a shit. I bet a lot of people would feel the same way. But I think, psychologically, something goes on where there's this feeling of "oh. I am getting a lesser experience compared to someone else. They took something away they thought I shouldn't have, and I get nothing out of it." And that sort of gnaws at you. "Who gets to tell ME what I can and can't enjoy, especially if those people over there get to enjoy it?"
It stains the whole experience, because deep down, there's this seed of "I am playing something worse compared to someone else." No one wants that. Why do you think companies pay for things like exclusive DLC, or costumes, or things like that? It's to generate FOMO that you need to purchase THIS specific version of the product to create the optimum experience.

I learned from Lost Ark. I won't even touch this game. I don't even feel the need anymore since i played it on JP and it wasn't that good as i thought it would be.
Trickster Online, FLYFF, Ragnarok Online, Maplestory, Mabinogi, and Rusty Hearts were the only anime MMO's I truly played for several months and enjoyed. Of course, I'm talking over the course of the last 10-15 years, so going back as far as 2008.
Rusty Hearts especially was so good, It was a shame when it was announced the servers were shutting down, and I don't believe they were even up for a very long time.

I'm guessing he has a bunch of incompetents he can't fire for some reason, nepotism or something, so he just sticks them in the division with the least revenue so the damage is minimized. Can't fire them, don't want them near the actual big money, so games division it is.
Bezos gets his moeny from AWS more than Amazon or anything else. This game brings them data and that's what they care about. It probably has trackers, etc., to harvest data; that's where their money is. Weebs aren't a good source of income, even their data is fairly worthless.
