Global Anniversary Livestream will be in 1 day, tomorrow at 11 UTC.
We should be getting information on Part 3 of the story starting, and hopefully will be getting a GL first character as well.
Was there a JP stream announced?
Nope
DRAGON HUSBANDO WHEN?!?
Uh bro, gairyu is literally dragon status now.
Global-first character Iphi
What the absolute frick is Walpurgisnacht.
yeah it's a lot of words
>anniversary stream
>to announce a dead month
ffs
So she throws her allies in the way to protect herself and autorevives those who fall? Sounds useful but doesn't death reset buffs/stacks?
Also, setting Shade for all team's attack type is cool but probably not very useful.
>cue some dude in 2 days using it to 1tAF Lavoger or something
Shade resistance is relatively common on a lot of fights. If you run Alter Shion he'll make those enemies weak to Shade. I'm curious how Blood Contract will interact with AS Soira and AS Heena who redirect attacks to themselves. Does that take priority over Blood Contract? What if they have Blood Contract? Do they take x4 damage? She looks potentially really broken, but I think to some degree it will depend how all of her mechanics play off on other party members.
No they explicitly said they don't actually die so it doesn't reset statuses
Holy shit I'm in love. She's looks incredible.
An absolute wall of text. Also, is it just me or does Iphi sound like she’s voiced by Tabitha St. Germain?
Shit yeah I'm pulling for her.
I find it hilarious she actually carries her coffin with her.
Not the first.
That's not her coffin. That's the coffin she puts her enemies in when she's done killing them.
It's not funny anymore
I'm definitely pulling for this Minalca style.
Those were legit me and I apologize, I was wrong and dumb gorrilla Black person.
Those posts were before the roadmap spoiled the GL character's theme so I forgive you.
My mea culpa had better get the b***h to spark tomorrow night.
>sorry anon, the GL exclusive character doesn't exist
>for you
>A sword and 2 literal whos got more votes than based Mildy AS
She's never going to be playable... it's over...
I blame Koreans and their dogshit taste
They didn't show Iphi's free banner, did they? I wonder who else will be rate up.
I'm gonna guess Eva based on absolutely nothing, iven Melissa is Minalca's rate up.
She's on the paid banners, so I don't think Eva will be on the free one too.
Personally my guesses are solo banner, Daisy, or Ilulu AS, because of the whole unlife/purgatory connection.
>Personally my guesses are solo banner, Daisy, or Ilulu AS, because of the whole unlife/purgatory connection.
Hopefully Daisy, could be Zeviro.
Really hope it's Daisy. Even if I don't get the new character, I won't say no to more shadow points.
I'm only missing Daisy, Ilulu, and Alma so I'm hoping for one of the former 2.
Based on the notice it won't be Eva, as her banner is being rerun, or Melissa, who has a paid guaranteed banner.
Based on that - NS/AS Nagi, the ruiner of all good banners.
hopefully Radica AS
she still eludes me
>AS Mariel manifests starts at Yipha solo, then adds Bertrand, then adds Mariel playing healbawd
They're learning, aren't they?
>NS Dewey has Water Zone now
Too bad Aisha exists now and is free.
It'll be relevent for AS Dewey and also when he gets true mani
>Iphi
>Deploys Shade Stance
>Wants allies to die so she can revive them and stack Seance
>Necoco AS
>Makes all allies and enemies match the current stance's element
Damage numbers are going to get even crazier
you don't even need Necoco AS, Iphi can already do that with a second use of that skill
Iphi only does it for allies, Necoco AS does it for allies and enemies.
Necoco will also be able to use Dark Spirit Wisdom since Iphi might not have an equivalent, and having 2 characters able to make your party match stance lets Iphi set up knockback immunity while your other characters still use Shade attacks.
>GL got 1k Chronos Stones on JP anni
>JP doesn't get anything on GL anni
Why
jp tax
If we stick to the predicted schedule, we'll get Apocrypha 5 and ES Mariel's banner on the JP anniversary date.
iOS update is up but no banner for an hour and change
Got Iphi 4* in two rolls, guessing the tome is probably Beast King's Castle?
hahaha holy fricking shit
its in man eating marsh, got one first fricking run
iirc she's Antiquity so people have been speculating Man-Eating Marsh
also
>Thillelille on Iphi banner
ehh
I guess it's fine for people who don't have her
Holy frick this feels rigged
Last night I got Iphi at 4*
ran MeM once and got her tome and upgraded her
then rolled on Fireside cat for the lols and fricking look
do they think this is a streamer acct or something? totally f2p
>6 multis
>only a 4.5* toova to show for it
Pain.
LET'S FRICKING GOOOOOOOOO
was planning to go all in on her, but she was the first door of the first roll
Was expecting to go crazy with the stones, but I got her on my second 10 pull.
Have you ever wanted to just preemptively deal 99999 damage to your own character with a basic attack before?
Biting Shade Stance effects:
>Shade type attack damage increased
>Non-Shade type attack damage increased
typo? or just a smaller increase than shade damage
>Damage against resistanced increased
>Another Force Gauge fill method changes
>All Type attacks increase Another Force Gauge
And Blood Contract gives the characters Risktaker Lunatic just like Milsha's song does.
With her, it's basically like having a Flash Zone, especially since she changes everyone's Type to Shadow. In fact, with the other buffs she hands out (+50% Int/Power/Speed) she's basically better than Melissa or Hardy for first turn AF's, unless the enemy is specifically Null or Absorb to Shade.
>Damage against resistanced increased
EVA with glowing eyes.jpg
Has the treasure chest with the keys shown up for you guys?
No. It'll show up tomorrow morning at the daily reset.
Iphi is a massive b***h, fantastic.
Oh I got Eva, I guess I can do some moronic shit with her and Airplane Shion + Flammelapis.
With 5000 CS, I managed to roll Suzette ES and Iphi 5*. I got Melissa from the guaranteed paid banner, and used my SDE on pic related who will help buff my Flam. Overall, not a bad haul. Claude ES was the better choice but Nagi ES appeals to my fetishes. I have his NS so I'll just grind his codex's in the long run.
Solid fricking choice. Nagi ES is really good, plus she's an extremely cute character. I still use her for lots of superboss clears. Her only real drawback is that it takes a bit to get the AF gauge fully charged, and she has to set Seat of Stars zone by swapping in with her VC. Also, Crystal weakness tends to be fairly rare, as is Crystal Resistance so even you can't often use Alter Shion to swap for the weakness. But now with characters like Iphi and Alter Tsukiha, who can change the element on her attacks, I think she'll be even more useful.
Water/Staff also has tons of free support between Mayu and Aisha. As long as boss doesn't null magic or water, you can generally set Mayu up for mitigation (use her like Kid and spam her att skill on t1AF to build up her buff increasing stacks) and pound them down with Flamm/Eva/Nagi.
Spent 4k and got nothing, guess this is the price for getting Eva and Melissa on my first 10 roll during their debuts.
6k CS, got Shannon NS and Hozuki AS.
So at least I get a partial refund from manifest awards and a few more character quests to do.
How in the frick do I update this app? Do I have to uninstall it and then download the new apk and then install the new apk? I assume the app updated but that I must do something to actually update it. I'm new and using emulator so AE isn't in the store like a normal app
Use QooApp.
Thank you that worked perfectly
For any new anons looking to reroll or even just getting into Another Eden (with the anniversary going on it's the perfect time to start), here are my Free-Banner Rankings.
>Rose Unseen
Biaka AS: 2/5; gimmicky but not in any gamebreaking way. She requires setup before each attack and for the single target to already be under 50% for the really attractive damage. The extra poison/pain damage might be relevant some day but I can't think of any fight where it would matter.
Cetie AS: 2/5; needs his manifest, and once he gets it he's a solid AF nuke, but he doesn't really stand out and other DPS can do his job better
>Total: 4/10
>Moonlight Flower Hismena
Moonlight Hismena: 5/5; god-tier, being able to fit in any slash/pierce/blunt/magic team with amazing damage, debuffs, and zone awakening.
Nagi: 4/5; solid with her true manifest, but requires beating the difficult TM fight. Nagi also lets you sidegrade her to her AS and ES, the former is similar to Biaka in requiring setup for her damage move (but contingent on being slower than the enemy, rather than the enemy being almost dead) while the latter sets Sea of Stars and is a great damage/support hybrid.
>Total: 9/10
>Fireside Cat
Necoco: 4/5; flexible damage/support/healer who works with any elemental zone.
Necoco AS: 5/5; cuts out the damage and reduces the healing to crank the support role to 11.
>Total: 9/10; both require zone setters for max usefulness, but Aisha sets 2 of them for free, you can get Wind for free with a Grasta or with Sevyn, and Necoco AS herself comes with Earth or you can upgrade Chiyo to AS.
(1/2)
>Noble Blossom Tsukiha
Noble Blossom: 5/5; top-tier Fire damage/support, zone awakener, extends Another Zone, and has end of turn heals based on fire attacks.
Tsukiha: 3/5; mediocre damage dealer, but she can be sidegraded to her AS (stronger than her NS but not standout) and her ES (a solid pierce zone damage+support, whose auto-pain on battle start alone can be worth using her especially in 1-1-1 dungeon clears)
>Total: 8/10
>Eva
Eva: 5/5; top-tier water/crystal mage who starts with lunatic already active on the front line, repeats her attacks, great self-buffs, and can inflict break
Tiramisu: 1/5; really fallen off in usefulness now that Tiramisu-But-Better aka 500k-fixed-damage-on-a-free-unit aka Noahxis exists.
>Total: 6/10
>Iphi
Iphi: 5/5; phenominal buffs and debuffs, her mere presence on the front row is a massive damage buff for the rest of your party, and she's a pseudo-healing inverse tank in that she redirects area damage to a single other party member, and raises them from the dead if they were to die. And if she absolutely must do damage herself, her main attack ignores defense.
Thillelille: 4/5; solid single target damage dealer, and can be sidegraded into a great AoE damage dealer.
>Total: 9/10
Lots of solid banners. Necoco and Tsukiha are really safe because regardless of which on-banner unit you get you can sidegrade to the other form by farming the materials.
Iphi and Hismena both have 2 strong on-banner units, although you'd rather get them than their bannermates.
Eva is the biggest gamble, with a high high and the lowest low.
And Biaka's banner is going away soon, which should be a disappointment to absolutely nobody.
>rolls iphis banner
>gets eva
newfriend here. should i continue trying to get iphi or do i get necoco? i only have eva and miyu. 10 rolls only for 4th anniv doesnt seem very generous tbh. how is the crystal income for f2p?
Congrats on getting one of the best characters in the entire game.
Iphi and Necoco AS are 2 of the best supports for Eva, so ideally you would end up with both of them.
>Necoco
When you have an elemental zone active, she can make the entire party's element match that zone. So with Eva, her Water-elemental Icicle Zorch can become Earth element with Necoco's zone, Fire or Wind element with certain free characters, or Thunder with Miyu's 3rd style.
Adding on to that, Necoco buffs all the relevant damage stats when she uses that skill, and she increases the bonus damage inflicted by hitting a weakness which will let Eva shred through anything weak to either magic or whatever element you turn her skill into.
And she has a skill that nerfs all enemies' damage, speed and defenses.
>Iphi
Like Necoco, she can make the party's element match the zone, but she can only do it for Shade zone (and she is the only character who can currently set it)
Also like Necoco, she has a really strong buff (though it trades the additional weakness damage for immunity to an uncommon, but debilitating status effect, and has a much longer duration)
She has basically the same skill that nerfs all enemies' damage, speed, and defenses that Necoco does
Her most notable trait is her Blood Contract which completely changes party-wide attacks and how death works; there are already other posts that describe it and how it lets you fight level 60-80 superbosses at level 20.
One thing Iphi does that benefits basically only Eva (and like 2-3 other characters) is boost damage of resisted attacks. Normally you'd want to hit weaknesses, and this is especially true if you had Necoco and her weakness multiplier buff, but Iphi's Shade zone can give up to +200% damage on a Resisted attack, which works spectacularly with Eva's Lucent Magi which does 20x damage if the enemy resists it - that stacks to a total of 60x damage.
nice, eva carried so many instances. in terms of versatility i guess i should aim for necoco first. any free story unit i should be looking out for?
Aisha can set Fire and Water zone
Gariyu AS can set Fire zone, and his normal form with maxed out Manifest weapon is great
The Chrono collab characters are all strong and versitile
Noahxis deletes random encounters
They're both super solid options, and you can't go wrong with either one of them. Necoco has a heal, and can work in any elemental zone instead of being locked to Shade, while Iphi can give her allies theoretically infinite lives and gives them a strong damage buff (that counts as Lunatic, which can be relevant for Eva's skills that say "when in Lunatic" if the battle lasts more than a few turns)
Necoco's banner ends at the end of the month, while Iphi's ends at the end of March, so I'd probably pull for Necoco first purely based on that.
F2Ps get showered in crystals for doing the main story, so you'll be able to do a lot of pulls early on, but once you're in end game and have fought all of the superbosses, done all of the quests, etc. you'll have to resort to fishing to scrounge up crystals for more pulls.
Actually going to expand on this for brand new players; these rankings are mostly for "who's strong and who's trash endgame" but I also understand that some characters have trash early skills, but great lategame skills (or vice versa)
So I'll also rate their level 1~60s, in case any are notable for being particularly helpful early on.
>Biaka AS
Bad early levels
>Cetie AS
Bad early levels
>Moonlight Flower
Great early levels, with a strong preemptive AoE that inflicts Weapon Break, a great buff, a great debuff, and a niche skill that does 5x damage if the enemy resists it. Also she gives your party 1 guaranteed crit on battle start.
>Nagi
Bad early levels
>Necoco and Necoco AS
Necoco NS, but not AS, gives your party 1 guaranteed crit on battle start, like Moonlight Flower.
Both NS and AS Necoco have the same early levels, which include MP regen+status healing, physical+type resist, [element] buff+debuff which matches zone but defaults to earth, and an... okay damaging move. Decent early levels, but won't be winning any damage awards.
>Noble Blossom
Solid early levels, with a regen+damage shield that can also give MP regen, a great buff, a top tier fire buff+debuff, the ability to set Fire Zone, to awaken zone, to extend the zone's awakening, and to change your partys' element to Fire. She's only really missing her big damage move.
>Tsukiha
Bad early levels
>Eva
Great early levels, with a decent AoE that also functions as a strong single target nuke that attacks again if the target is above 50% health, a solid water/crystal buff that restores hp, and which doubles in effectiveness in Lunatic up to a full heal+granting Mental Focus, an MP restore skill, a crystal/water debuff that attacks again, and a weak skill that does 20x damage if the enemy resists magic, while also debuffing power and int if they have more than 50% hp
>Tiramisu
Great early levels, with a fixed (up to) 5,000 damage for 12 MP, and a fixed (up to) 15,000 damage for 23 MP. None of her other skills really matter, just reach the Spirit stat benchmark for her Summoner's Ritual/Gift and deal fixed damage ignoring defenses.
But seriously, Noahxis is free if you do the Time Maze a few times after chapter 22, with solid skills in addition to the fixed damage one, please get him instead of chasing Tiramisu.
>Iphi
Her Blood Contract gimmick is innate from level 1. Her early attack is preemptive, restores the party's HP by a fixed 20%, deals 5x damage on the first turn, and can inflict sleep. A much more solid skill in the early game than at endgame. Her buff is great; 50% PWR+INT+SPD and the rare (and niche) knockback immunity. Her debuff is solid, either 15% or 25% (depending on if you're using the 1st or 2nd version of it) debuff to PWR, INT, SPD, and Type Resist and it's preemptive. The Pain/Poison isn't going to be too relevant early on unless you pull someone like Suzette or Felmina off-banner who can exploit Pain/Poison naturally. The delayed status cure and immunity might be useful for some bosses, and if nothing else she can set Shade Zone and then spam the move to make your entire party's skills become Shade element.
Really strong start.
>Thillelille
Great early levels, with a 50% Speed and Phys Resist debuff, a solid self-buff for Fire and Shade attacks, and a great damaging move if you meet the HP+Lunatic conditionals.
I'm still very new and I'm taking the game at a very leisurely comfy pace, but I still cannot properly gauge the gem income and I'm someone who is typically a bit of a hoarder in other gachas I've played
I have Iphi, and Hismena, and I got a Black Clad Sw. somewhere in there too. These already seem to be insanely overpowered for where I am in the story, but is this even sort of a cohesive team? Is there anyone on this banner who is an additional "must pull" for a 4th slot, like this Necoco person? Like I said I'm normally a hoarder, and I probably want to use some of the free units in this game eventually just for fun, but I wouldn't mind summoning a little more if it would build me 1 cohesive team. If my team is already a hodgepodge that doesn't work together in the end game, then this hypothetical 4th character wouldn't really matter to me
>1 cohesive team.
That's not really how this game works. You're going to be swapping characters a ton, especially at late game content.
For now the best thing you can do is roll for Necoco until you get one of her forms (meaning her 4* or either of her two 5*s), then play normally and gather the crossover characters.
The Chrono Cross chars (mostly Kid and Harle) are two of the best support units in the game and are widely used even by whales.
As for hoarding, the next "need to roll" banner isn't for a few months, which will be ES Mariel. The banners up right now are as good if not better than any that will come for the next few months, so you'll have time to replenish your stones.
>That's not really how this game works
Oh, interesting. I figured there'd probably be a few teams I'd be rotating through at end game depending on what I'm doing, but I wanted (if these characters have synergy) to maybe get a 4th that way I have at least 1 cohesive/synergistic squad going. That's cool about Kid and Harle, because I like both of them, and thanks for the heads up about how far away the next must pull is. I'll roll for the Necoco after all
Oh, and while on the topic of hoarding, this game doesn't seem to have a pity system? Or does it and I'm just too new to recognize it? I would prefer to have 1-2 pities saved for "emergencies", but it doesn't even seem like that's a thing here
No pities, the listed rates are the rates.
Necoco has synergy with everyone, as long as there's a stance active.
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY HERE'S YOUR EXCLUSIVE CHARACTER
>soul crushing tragedy in the character quests
I mean 3/3 so far, was not expecting Iphi's to hit so hard.
It was a mistake doing that second quest thinking I could finish it then get a good night's sleep right after.
Very surprised she didn't have Lovesick or Funeral added to her personalities after the third quest.
A b***h and a groomer
I want her as my wife
I swear 30% of her dialogue is lifted directly from Kisunomonogatari.
the only soul crushing tragedy i got were my pulls.
What is it with the global first characters having quest lines that are so depressing?
They are marketing to me. Successfully.
I care not because I got the last paper I needed to get miyu es. My thunderdome team is complete now.
It seems the global first characters tend to have such a huge backstory to them for some reason.
probably to drum up hype for JP
How are dupes handled in this game? The smart thing to do is to wait the 10 days before I pull for Iphi, right?
Dupes get you additional Light/Shadow points for the character, which at certain thresholds grant stat bonuses or additional skill/equipment slots. Helpful over the long run but not something you should be actively chasing.
Free characters can increase their l/s points by running certain dungeons once you unlock the dailies, which is one of the reasons why Aldo remains competent if not meta.
Cool, thank you anon
Aldo is a special case, after chapter 83 he gets some huge buffs to his skills depending on his light level.
For the second question, early on you'll be getting so many stones that it's not worth it to be stingy. Rush the main story up to the point where the crossovers open up, then rotate those and the main story.
Don't worry about grinding for tomes/scripts/money/weapons - all of that shit has been more or less negated by late game content (for instance, before last year people would have to grind for days for a single piece of fully upgraded endgame equipment. Now you can get 2-4 from a single two hour run of the roguelike dungeon, which isn't even the most efficient way to use).
Jackpot.
now if only I could get a restore increase fist/necklace for Uquaji
I need to run that more to try and get the healing stuff for Uquaji.
I took our GL-first units plus Curio and backrow healer Uquaji to bully Wyverus, since I've only ever T1AF'd him with Kikyo AS and Victor before.
Wyverus Turn 1 is the perfect situation for Iphi, since he does 3 AoEs which will normally kill everyone but Iphi which will get her to max Seance stacks immediately.
I opted to give Curio and Melissa Hold Ground so Melissa could use Taunt turn 2 to take the triple single target attack for the third Seance, with Iphi wearing the Giant's Badge so her buff would come after Melissa died.
Then it was just a matter of Shade Resist Big Numbers, with Awakened Shade Zone, Transient Glory, Walpurgisnacht, and Lucent Magi being a fair and balanced 20x damage skill.
Overall, Iphi's already one of the most fun characters in Another Eden, and I can't wait to see all of the superbosses and boss rush stages that she and Blood Contract can frick with.
Updated this meme strategy to no longer rely on the Luna weapon's Shade debuff RNG, and removed Uquaji so it's just the GL-first units plus Curio (Cutting Curio out might be possible, but would require an AF that I'm too lazy to do)
Iphi has the Heavy Duty Badge and the Max HP, Sound Body, and Rapids Grasta all with Dormant ores
Eva has the Mujima Rod, Discipline Ring, and INT+ / SPD Halved Badge with the Power of Venom and Power of Poison grastas with Rose-with-Thorns and Bull's Eye ores, plus Benefic with +30 MP
Curio has Regret, Brass Pocket Watch, and Nine Lives Badge as well as the Sound Body Katana with Dormant ore plus his Regulator's Scorn grasta
Melissa has Illusion Shade, Subspace Ring, and 1000 HP Badge with Spell of Patronage and Falcon's Blessing Grasta, both with +300 HP ores
Now everyone but Iphi dies turn 1, since I realized Seance stacks at end of turn, not as soon as someone is revived.
Melissa needs to tank 2 single target attacks and then die to the 3rd to avoid Confusion RNG, since I couldn't get her bulky enough to tank all 3 while being immune to Confusion.
Since Curio takes damage from Iphi's Blood Contract on turn 1, his Hold Ground doesn't get consumed until turn 4 when Wyverus does its second round of AoEs.
>have Iphi in the backline holding grastas for Gariyu
>occasionally see something weird at the start of certain battles
>start recording to see what's going on
>for some battles (like Big Gonjuro) Iphi's bat will show up for a few frames before disappearing, despite her being in the back row
>replace her with Dunarith as a grasta slave for one run
>bat disappears
Damn. If the bat kept appearing after taking Iphi out of the party, I could say with near certainty that the bat is a buddy that simply isn't functional because the system isn't fully implemented in GL yet, but since it only appears when she's in the party it might just be a graphical glitch where they forgot to add the "backrow characters are invisible" flag to the bat.
It could still be a buddy of course, but I can't just come out and say "IT'S HAPPENING".
Even with the bat itself showing up on the roadmap.
>tfw spent all my crystals on Iphi
>get jackshit
>do a shitload of cat and armor/weapon collection to get gems
>do the lab fights too
>get this
my entire day of grinding paid off
Grats anon.
Now she is gonna grind on your neck
Necoco AS brings new life to a lot of characters that used to be held back
>Icicle Zorch but x element
You love to see it.
Absolutely, I might even use my star dream on alma just so I can have crystal zorch too.
Is there a possibility we'll get another SDE when the new Main Story Chapter arrives? It's rather unnecessary for me but seeing bigger numbers makes me feel warm inside.
It's not very likely, so I wouldn't count on it, but there is a possibility.
If it doesn't oh well. I'm pretty sure Minalca is going to do some big numbers anyways.
Violet lancer underrated for dungeons and exploring in general. Turn 0 mp for all chars is a huge qol plus generally being good. And I like who she is
I see her rated well whenever people talk about her. In fact for dungeons I see her as overrated.
0 MP consumption has been a thing for a while, between Tsubame AS, Flammelapis, Cup of Invincibility Grasta, and most recently Noahxis.
If VL released during the P5 collab era, where the 0 MP clear meta was from VC attacks like Joker and Hismena, then she would absolutely deserve a spot in history, but being the 3rd or 4th gacha unit to accomplish a similar thing, when the Grasta had already existed for a while and with Noahxis being a free option soon after, she's not much more than a footnote.
Her Another Sense for superbosses, however, that's where she really carves her own niche.
>8k CS
>No iphi
me with Daisy and me with Alma
don't worry you'll get Iphi on the 8th whisper of time
Same here, gonna use my SDE on her next time if my luck doesn't work out. Iphi seems like a lot of fun to use in a comp.
Took me 10k, keep on going.
And all done!
Nice. Natty, or did you dump light into her? My Nero still only has about 130 points, and I've been playing from near launch.
Been playing since Launch too. I finally activated the free trial today since it'll be good for January, February and March. She was 190, and I got 45 and then dumped 20 of the Light Spear items into her to finish her off.
I caught up with the main story and purchased the daybreak weapon pack a while ago. I don't remember if I went to baruoki tavern because my weapons are still lv1. I did go back to check but no sign of him anywhere so I guess I did but why aren't my weapons lv8? I'm so confused.
Go to the bars in each town and they'll get upgraded one level at a time.
If no Eva, get Eva
if not Melissa or Hardy, get Melissa
if no singer get either Misty or Pissaca
Nice digits, but I don't know about Melissa. There's another paid banner where you can get her 100%. It feels like kind of a waste to use your SDE on her.
Thanks for the suggestions. Though I have also considered using my star dream to get one of the Alter Characters. Already got Alter Dewey and Premaya from older pulls and am considering Alternate Hismena. If not them, one of the Vortex Characters (Alma or Orleyya).
Hismena is probably the best choice since she's so incredibly versatile. Alma isn't a bad pick either, since she's also versatile and brings Crystal zone.
Right, lastly, should I consider getting Necoco? Someone already mentioned previously that Punished Dewey IS basically Necoco but Fists l, different element, Crystal and Lunatic and I already have Punished Dewey. So either pull for the guys as
mentioned, Alma or Alter Hismena. But lastly, should I still consider Necoco still?
get one of the op characters here. that 5 characters clears majority of the end game bosses
I always skip right to eps 245 to share the struggle
I'm gonna be pulling for the Star Dream Encounter that has a 5 star of my choice at the end of it. Any recommendations who should I pull, which Another Style of Extra Style I should get?
https://aecheck.com/
List all the characters you have so we're not just blindly throwing names without context.
Like, yes in general Melissa is a good first option (although Singers are a dubious choice now that Aisha is a free option, I'd prioritize RCF, JT, Claude ES, etc. over a Pizzacat myself)
If he's only paying for 1 SDE and nothing else then it's better to see 10 random characters and then pull a guaranteed Melissa, than to see 9 random characters plus the last door be Melissa.
I realized I was able to kill the red star "boss" monsters that are level 28 while I was level 12 by abusing Iphi's zombie thing
I tried to kill some level 60 dinosaur too, but I only got it to about 70% hp before it kills Iphi. Maybe if I better understood how this game and the blood ritual thing worked I could do it. If I have infinite mana, is there some way I could infinitely zombie through a fight with Iphi, or it doesn't work that way because it would be too busted? Or can anyone explain to me how Walpurgisnacht works? Like it only reapplies the rez when there are no more rezzes left, but Iphi doesn't seem to get rezzed from her own skill, because as soon as something targets her she's just dead, and I think Walpurgisnacht wont reapply everyone else's rez until Iphi's ritual status is gone? I'm trying my best but I just don't understand the conditions of the skill, only its effects
>If no other characters are under Blood Contract, all other characters enter Blood Contract
Iphi herself can't be in Blood Contract, so if 0/3 of your other characters have Blood Contract, Walpurgisnacht will put all 3 of them into Blood Contract.
If an attack would hit your entire party, it instead turns into a single target attack which hits the rightmost party member under Blood Contract, which deals 2x normal damage.
If an attack would only hit Iphi, it won't be redirected even if everyone has Blood Contract.
Red Dawn's attack pattern is: 1. Single Target attack, 2. AOE Slash Wind, 3. Single Target attack, 4. AOE Magic Fire, repeat.
With infinite MP, you could grind down Red Dawn if you had 2 characters with guaranteed Taunts that only lasted 1 or 2 turns each.
So the party of Iphi / Taunt1 / Taunt2 / NoTaunt -
Turn 1 you'd have Taunt1 use their Taunt and revive
Turn 2 you'd have NoTaunt tank the AoE and revive
Turn 3 you'd have Taunt 2 use their Taunt and revive
Turn 4 Iphi uses Walpurgisnacht since everyone consumed their Blood Contracts, and NoTaunt tanks the AoE again and revives
Turn 5 you'd have Taunt1 use their Taunt and revive
Turn 6 you'd have Taunt2 tank the AoE and revive
Turn 7 Iphi uses Walpurgisnacht since everyone consumed their Blood Contracts, Tank1 uses their Taunt and revives
Turn 8 you'd have NoTaunt tank the AoE and revive
Turn 9 you'd have Tank2 use their Taunt and revive
Turn 10 Iphi uses Walpurgisnacht since everyone consumed their Blood Contracts, and NoTaunt tanks the AoE again and revives
then you'd loop turns 5-10 until Red Dawn dies
Also note that if your Taunts last 2 turns, you'd want to use Taunts 1 turn prior to the turns I stated (ie. on the AoE turns of 2/4/6 instead of 3/5/7) so they'd run out before the next single target turn.
With Infinite MP against a boss that only uses AoE attacks, there's only a few things that counters Iphi. Most notably bosses that attack multiple times in a single turn.
Thank you very much for the explanation and the write up. Unfortunately, I've looked through all of my character's skills, and it looks like I only have Nomar who can Taunt, so I can't give this a shot. Are you aware of any free units that are easily acquirable that have a Taunt? Do any of the Tales or Persona characters have a Taunt? Do you get them relatively early in their respective Symphony?
The only free character I can think of is Starky, and he's fairly late game.
Although I thought of another way for Red Dawn, which only involves 1 Taunter, that makes use of Iphi's Blood Ritual to kill off your own units to manage Contracts.
Iphi / Taunt / slot3 / slot4
Turn 1: Taunt tanks the single target attack and dies
Turn 2: Iphi uses Lunatic+, targetting slot3 to kill them and slot4 dies to the AoE
Turn 3: Iphi uses Walpurgisnacht so Taunt can tank the single target attack and die again
Turn 4: Iphi uses Blood Ritual, targetting slot3 to kill them and slot4 dies to the aoe
then you just loop this over and over, with slot4 always tanking the AoE, Taunt always tanking the single target move, and Iphi murdering whoever's in slot 3
At least, I assume this would work; I've never actually tried to use Blood Ritual multiple times but the wiki doesn't state a restriction on number of uses so I think you could loop this indefinitely. Just make sure your Taunt doesn't drop (or hope the boss doesn't randomly attack Iphi if it does)
A sub-level 30 clear of Red Dawn would show just how far power creep has come, since it was one of the first "super"bosses(now it's weaker than endgame basic horrors) that was added to the game
Well, that certainly was something. Thank you very much for your help, I really learned a lot from that. I learned how Walpurgisnacht works better, I learned how Blood Ritual works, and I learned that bosses have a set pattern of attacks apparently (?), all super helpful things. Probably could have even done this at like level 12 whenever you get here, but I didn't have the balls to try a red star mob until around 14 or so, and then by the time I killed them all I was 18. I would have expected to gain more than one single level for beating a nearly level 60 boss, but whatever. No loot either, but I guess it doesn't matter since all the red star mob loot is weapons I can't use for another >10 levels anyway. Nomar the MVP
I have something I don't really understand though if you could shed some light maybe. Hismena's Peitzchetanzen is a type (S) attack, while Kettegrol is type (M), but Peitz was critting for ~8k while Kette was critting for ~3.5k. Is it because Peitz says (3 times)? Meaning it hits 3 times? Sometimes the layout of the wording makes it a bit difficult for someone who is new to understand which part of the ability is referring to what. And I suppose if the boss had resistance to Water that Schweklinge would have done the most damage since it says (x5) for resistance? Or I guess I was doing Shade due to Walpurgisnacht anyway, so they'd have to be resistant to Shade? Lotta stuff to take in, but I'm liking the game so far. I like "tank" characters like Iphi, it's a pretty neat way to go about it
>Peitzchetanzen
Its damage modifier starts at 300%, then consecutive uses go down to 150%, 100%, and finally 50% where it stays until you swap to a different move, where it will reset to 300%
>Kettegroll
Its damage modifier is 120%
>Schwerklinge
Its damage modifier is 140%, which is multiplied by either 2x, 5x, or 10x depending on if Another Zone is active, the enemy resists Schwerklinge, or both, for a total of 280%, 700%, or 1400% - and that could either be Water/Shade or Slash(or Pierce/Bash/Magic if Hismena's attack type changes), but note that if an enemy Resists Slash but is Weak to Water/Shade, the Weakness takes precedence.
The damage modifiers aren't always intuitive just from reading in-game descriptions, which is why I doublecheck with every character's page in the wiki for if I need to maximize damage.
If I had to guess why Peitzchetanzen's damage is so high despite being (S), it's because it's basing it off of its 2nd consecutive use's damage multiplier for some reason. So it's being rated as a 100% AoE attack.
When Peitz says (3 times) it's referring to the Weapon Break (Slash) effect; the next 3 times the affected enemy would take Slash damage, that damage is doubled.
I see, I'll probably check out the wiki then. Thanks a bunch for all your help, it's really been enlightening
>I learned that bosses have a set pattern of attacks apparently (?)
They do!
https://anothereden.wiki/w/Superbosses
If you scroll down to Red Dawn at the bottom, you'll see he's one of the oldest and first superbosses. There are 3 versions of him (the one on Zol Plains and then two in the Boss Rush simulator which you unlock later).
https://anothereden.wiki/w/Red_Dawn
Here you can see the Zol Plains version attack pattern. First turn it does a single target basic attack. Second turn it does a Wind Slash attack to every party member. Third turn it does a single target basic attack. Fourth turn it does a Fire Magic attack on all party members. Then the pattern repeats.
A lot of superboss fights come down to figuring out the pattern of their moves and then using your abilities at the right time. There are a couple of bosses that have some level of RNG in their moves, but it's pretty rare. Of course with the wiki you can look up boss patterns and it's much easier to get through fights than trying to figure it all out and writing down the boss attack pattern on your own.
This fricking game loves not giving me crystal of attack hence my dps grastas are dogshit disproportionately to how many Life Grastas I enhanced. Frick you WPS.
Ship Graveyard and Big Gonjuro in AGAD, Temple Ruins and Karakuri in PGAD, Bosatsu Cryer in FGAD, and Dimensional Destroyer Himika in Underworld are the best chest sources of them.
Kuruchi Cove and Ship Graveyard in AGAD, Jiraya Fortress, Kunlun Mountains, and Temple Ruins in PGAD, Contaminated Pit and Satellite Stadium in FGAD, and Ark of the Underworld and Dark Lord's Tomb in Underworld are the best Horror sources of them.
Or you could set up a Z-Steal macro with Kid for the 3% steal rate for Crystals.
Wow, thanks for the huge tip! Are you a developer at WPS or something? How do you know so much?
https://anothereden.wiki/w/Crystal_of_Attack
Just checked its locations on the wiki, and then looked through the ADs for which maps have chests that can give Crystals of Attack
newbie here again. I just beat Chapter 11, and now I have no idea what the frick any of this new stuff does
>Are there any handy dandy guides for the Another Dungeon stuff you guys can recommend?
I feel like I should be doing this ASAP because these appear to be this game's "stamina" type thing in that it regens
>Should I stop the story to do this Ocean Palace thing? (loving the CT references)
>Holy Prayer Spirit Encounter
I have Prai, Pom, and Erina already. I don't have Krervo, but also my Prai is only 3 stars, not 4. Should I pick Krervo or Prai?
And wtf Another Force is timed, I feel like I'll never be able to make good use of this
>ADs
you get 1 key every 6 hours, up to the maximum of 9 green/5 red (more with the subscription active)
early on, the rewards from ADs aren't great so their best uses are to collect the tokens required for the episodes like Ocean Palace, Two Knights, IDA School, etc.
doing this will also earn light/shadow for the respective sidestory character since they're forced to be in your party to run the dungeon
the other use of green keys early on would be running Miglance Castle with Aldo in your party to try and raise his light
when you unlock red keys, their main use is to get the tomes required to change characters into 5* classes, but they also double the odds of gaining light/shadow on free characters compared to green key dungeons, and for the Ocean Palace specifically you need to run its dungeon with red keys at least 17 times (closer to 25-30) to collect all the black pearls
eventually you'll unlock garulea dungeons, which use 2 green keys to enter and are the best use of green keys from then on
so for now, yeah, use your keys to either collect tokens for the episodes or to start farming light/shadow on your favorite story character
I'd hold off the Ocean Palace for now since you'll want to use at least some red keys on it anyways, and push for chapter 13 which will unlock 2 more episodes and the symphonies, and do those instead
Prai gets incredibly useful later, so an extra 4 shadow on him is worth more than the extra 4 light on Krervo when you inevitably pull him
for AF, it's best to put the big damage moves you want to spam with each character in the same skill slot, so you can tap your buff/debuff/lunatic/whatnot first and then just mindlessly mash skill #3
>the other use of green keys early on would be running Miglance Castle with Aldo in your party to try and raise his light
>start farming light/shadow on your favorite story character
I poked around the wiki and found the Another Dungeons and started looking around a bit. I don't have Miglance Castle unlocked, so I didn't consider it, but something I did find is that Hismena and Iphi both have their something or other in Man-eating Marsh, which is where Cyrus gets his Light upgrade, whom I prefer over Aldo anyway (sorry, Aldo). Though I assume since Also is the main character he probably gets enough stat upgrades to make it worth it to choose him to farm light on rather than Cyrus? How rare exactly are the books that drop in Very Hard for these characters? Like, will I already be farming this dungeon for long enough for Iphi and Hismena's things that it wouldn't be a terrible idea to choose Cyrus as my light farm as a consequence? For now I just did each dungeon I had unlocked one time for the Chrono Stones mission. Also, I assume that the 5 Light/Shadow that I get for these (monthly?) missions is best used on a free character, like ALdo or Cyrus, rather than on Iphi?
>for AF, it's best to put the big damage moves you want to spam with each character in the same skill slot
I'm playing on emulator so I think I'm going to have to set up some strategic screen tap keybinds; a timed QTE almost sort of thing was not what I was expecting. I was still reading Iphi's new ability when the AF ran out the first time I used it
>push for chapter 13 which will unlock 2 more episodes and the symphonies, and do those instead
Will do, thank you
>Also, I assume that the 5 Light/Shadow that I get for these (monthly?) missions is best used on a free character, like ALdo or Cyrus, rather than on Iphi?
HELL NO, use that shit on your gacha characters.
Free characters can get to 255 through AD runs, Gacha characters you have to either pull dupes, or use the scarce Light Shadow items/trials/etc.
>Hismena and Iphi both have their something or other in Man-eating Marsh
assuming you're
- your Iphi is already 5*, so her tome won't immediately do anything for you much later in the game you can turn 10 or 30 of her tomes into a special piece of gear exclusive to her and your Hismena is the Alter version, and her things drop from almost every single Red key dungeon.
Man-Eating Marsh itself is an awkward dungeon early on, because you need 120 Shadow for all of the rewards, but Cyrus himself is a Light character so you're not only running down 1 Shadow character but you're also not making any progress to the Shadow benchmark by running it.
>I assume since Also is the main character he probably gets enough stat upgrades to make it worth it to choose him to farm light on rather than Cyrus?
All the main story characters "recently" (like a year ago now) got buffed, and Aldo becomes extremely strong end-game, with his main skill's multiplier being based off of his light. Cyrus isn't as good, but he's still workable. And actually, Iphi looks like she'll work quite well with Cyrus. The main issue I had with Cyrus is his main damage move requires him to be below max health, but with Iphi's Blood Contract you can pretty much always meet that conditional.
So if you like him, you can absolutely farm his light and make him work.
>How rare exactly are the books that drop in Very Hard for these characters?
They are like 2-5% for each Tome, so assuming you have the required Light/Shadow for all end reward slots, about 10~15 Red keys expected per Tome.
>HELL NO, use that shit on your gacha characters.
I assume Iphi is a good use of it, then? I really like her so far. She "tanks", she "heals", she buffs, she shields, she has infinite mana, and she might not do a lot of damage on bosses, but she pre-emptive one shots (+heals) which is all the damage she really needs to be doing since she's busy doing other stuff in boss battles anyway. I think she even gets a bigger attack later that might be useful for bosses. She seems like a very "widely" powerful character
>So if you like him, you can absolutely farm his light and make him work.
I do prefer him character-wise (always had a Frog soft spot) but just thinking about a light grind seems like it would take maybe even like a year and then there's the complications about the dungeon itself you brought up that I didn't even consider, and then the fact that it's not the main character who is probably a "better" investment. Maybe I'll just sit on the idea for a while, but then the keys are burning a hole in my pocket and yada yada, I guess we'll just see what happens
>it's a 0.1% drop per slot so it's entirely a crapshoot
>you'll eventually meet an NPC who gives you 1 Opus/Codex/Treatise of your choice
I see. Probably not too bad of a rate actually over a long enough timeframe
>AF mechanics are pretty easy
My issue is that, not playing on phone, I can't physically hit the skills very quickly by selecting with mouse, so I haven't even thought about the actual mechanics of the AF. I'll probably have to set keybinds here pretty soon besides just the wasd that I've been using. Maybe I could even find a way to do it with controller which would be pretty comfy
Thanks again for all the help and information, guys, it's seriously been very helpful
>I assume Iphi is a good use of it, then?
Absolutely.
The main breakpoints to aim for are at 80, 120, and 200 Light/Shadow.
At 80, a 4th skillslot is unlocked which is huge for characters like Iphi who want 4, or even 5 of their skills. In some cases this is just convenience, in others it can define a strategy for superbosses/battle simulator.
120, and 200 are more DPS focused, so someone like Moonlight Flower Hismena would benefit more from them, but they're obviously harder to get to. And Iphi's damage isn't bad, but like you said she's often doing something else every turn.
>Maybe I'll just sit on the idea for a while, but then the keys are burning a hole in my pocket
There are tons of Episode and Symphony dungeons to do in the meantime; get working on those Episode rewards while you consider whose light you want to work on.
When you do the collabs you can gain points for, say, Yuri or Harle who can then help you out with future dungeons.
>I can't physically hit the skills very quickly by selecting with mouse,
Set it up like this
slot 1 - attack
slot 2 - buff you'll use first turn if needed
slot 3 - main attack skill
slots 4/5 - things you might need to cycle in
then just spam 23333333333 with all characters continually
put characters who need to swap between skills at the front of the party, ones who will spam endlessly at the end
As for Opus/Codex/Treatise, it's a 0.1% drop per slot so it's entirely a crapshoot when you get one and which one you'll get.
But by running enough ADs you'll eventually get a White Key (use it immediately when you do), and by doing enough White Key gates you'll eventually meet an NPC who gives you 1 Opus/Codex/Treatise of your choice.
Don't stress it so much - just play the game like a single player RPG and you'll eventually figure it out.
AF mechanics are pretty easy: if you don't have a Zone up, hit them with multihit skill they're weak against. Once you figure it out you'll be able to get 20-40 seconds of uptime, if not infinite (usually only happens if something is Thunder weak).
nihongo or engrishu? just starting
You can swap in-game whenever you want, but I prefer JP voices since the EN ones are mostly bri'ish and with poor voice direction
Got Alt Premaya, which is pretty cool.
>+16 light for Veina
another 10 day buildup, another disappointment
Well I guess it's time to decide on my sde pick. Any advice? Leaning on yipha as so I have a strong wind support and wind/blunt zone setter.
Probably one of the singer units (AS Misty or Pizza), but AS Yipha is more or less equivalent to one, but focused on a single unit.
Now I'm kinda torn between misty as and jet tactician instead of yipha as. I like waifus but jets weakness/resist swap does seem amazing. But I will be rolling for minalca so maybe I won't need him to boost my fire team.
If you have only superbosses left, get Misty, if you're fairly early on, get Alt Shion.
I don't think I've done any super bosses. Only bosses that have been hard for me so far is a few weapon manifests, uquaji and battle sims.
Wind Zone is available from a grasta now (and Sevyn if you don't need to overwrite zone), and you could get Blunt by sidegrading either Myunfa to AS or Suzette to ES.
You're missing both Melissa and Hardy, so Melissa for Flash Zone is an option.
You're missing Shion and Jet Tactician, so Jet Tactician for flipping resists is an option.
Otherwise, Alma, Yipha AS, or Claude ES. One of those 5 would be what I'd pick in your shoes.
Probably Jet Tactician if I wanted to go for optimal strength, or Alma if I wanted to go for cute girls.
>just found out there are "hidden" quests
Are these going to be easy to find and do later? I don't really want to play the game side by side with a guide, but I came across the hide n seek quest in IDA and now my autism is triggered
Also, Iphi lvl 30s noob team finally got stopped by final form Azami because she only does single target attacks kek
Those are only in the first two IDA events and give you joke weapons, don't worry to much about it.
Alright I'll try not to let the autism tingle too much
How come we never get holiday themed events?
Because unlike other gachas, everything is permanent.
Having "Santa Outfit Precis" as an alternate style makes sense when that banner is only available from December-January and you can't pull her off-banner.
Having "Santa Outfit Shanie" as an alternate style makes less sense when you can pull her off-banner in the middle of July.
Please no, I don't want this to become like every other gacha with dogshit meaningless events that just incentivize really dogshit events with random fomo. I'm glad everything they add to this game is for the sake of having more to play.
What do you think of the Apocryphas so far?
Best thing they've done since Zerberiya.
Argentauri > Thundering Fortress > Ashihara > Kelkale
I have a couple more questions, sorry for so many
>Is the Star Dream Encounter an anniversary thing, or does it happen often?
>Is it more of a priority to clear the main story or the symphonies/episodes/sidequests?
>How important is it to deplete my keys every day?
The game really vomits a lot of different things to do after Ch13 but I kinda just want to continue the main story tbdesu. I went around and collected some cats and I did part of the IDA school thing, but now I just want to keep playing the story
Also I see what you guys were saying about AF how you can just put your attacks all in the same slot, for some reason I originally thought you had to not only click the character but also click the attack, kinda like regular mode
>Is the Star Dream Encounter an anniversary thing, or does it happen often?
3/4 times a year.
>Is it more of a priority to clear the main story or the symphonies/episodes/sidequests?
>How important is it to deplete my keys every day?
Both can be answered together: alternate story and crossover/side story/episode, etc. Most side content has a "grinding dungeon" associated with it that opens up after beating the main part of the episode/crossover, which you should use your red/green keys to get the rewards from. This is how you'll get a lot of stones at once early on.
The main story is very long at this point, but you'll want to get to chapter 55 before you start doing hard content because that's when the grasta (additional passives) system opens up.
>3/4 times a year.
Cool, maybe I'll wait then. I've never paid for anything in a gacha game before, but ~6$ for any character I want seems like a pretty sweet deal when there is no gacha pity
>This is how you'll get a lot of stones at once early on.
I did the one for IDA a few times, put all the bonus point party members in there that I own, and have like 50k points, though I kinda wanna unlock VH versions of story dungeons since that's apparently where Fireside Necoco's thing drops. I was overloaded on keys though, so I did I don't even know how many in a row and I'm kinda burnt out for the moment even though I'm still at full keys (over full green keys)
>Is the Star Dream Encounter an anniversary thing, or does it happen often?
iirc there's always one every anniversary, and then there's 2-4 more throughout the year
>Is it more of a priority to clear the main story or the symphonies/episodes/sidequests?
I'd rank them symphonies > main story > episode > side quests; symphonies give the best free characters, main story is required for a lot and gives some big buffs via gear, episode characters range from nice to trash, and side quests are generally just 10 free CS and some exp scrolls. Of course this ranking is only for base completion, not grinding out all of the episode tokens for 825,000 points to get a chant script - that's much lower priority
>How important is it to deplete my keys every day?
Early on it's not SUPER important, since your Green Keys are mostly just going to give you episode/symphony tokens instead of the real good rewards. Once you unlock Garulea dungeons you'll want to spend enough Green Keys every day to never be at max capacity when the key refresh happens.
As for Red Keys, those are important not to be at max capacity either, since Red Key rewards include the rare Treatise/Codex/Opus and chests in Red Key dungeons (outside of episode/symphony dungeons) can contain Chant Scripts.
>I'd rank them symphonies > main story > episode > side quests; symphonies give the best free characters
I don't think I really need the free characters, honestly. I'll do them all eventually of course, but Chrono Cross is the only one that I'm genuinely interested in by itself, even as someone who has played the Tales games and also P5 (and then also P5R). If the main draw of the symphonies is the free characters, reward wise, I'm pretty sure I can skip them for now because so far the only thing I've encountered that Iphi/Necoco/Hismena/BlackClad/Nomar can't kill is the final Azami fight because she only does single target attacks, and it probably didn't help that my team was like 35 with outdated gear at that point either
I feel like if I keep logging in and doing nothing but symphonies and episodes and key grinds that I feel obligated to do, then I'll eventually stop logging in. I've already got the IDA thing that I can spend red keys on. I'll start trying to whittle the keys down so that I'm not overcapped, but maybe I'll try focusing on the story for as long as I'm wanting to do that and then maybe bounce around the episodes a bit if I get bored with that until Cross unlocks. I guess I'm sorta just thinking out loud right now, but thank you for the information just the same
>I don't think I really need the free characters, honestly.
That's because you're five minutes into the game. Harle and Kid are the backbone of the majority of endgame clears.
Luckily Chrono Cross has both the best characters and the best gear from the Symphonies.
But even with a full powercreep team (which you're well on your way to already with Iphi, Hismena, and Necoco) Skull from P5 and either Yuri or Lloyd (or both) from Tales will be useful for multiple superbosses. Though not as pressing as getting CC characters
I used tales concerto arts and cless to cheese some bosses with a super powered up dark blade finisher.
>got mr kel
good 10 piece
>Alter Tsukiha AS next year
I love these stories. I'm happy I pulled for Alter Tsukiha; she's such a cutie.
decided to spend. which paid gem banner should i aim for beginner account?
Star Dream Encounter lets you pick a character you want.
The Star Dream Encounter so you pick whoever you want. But make sure to do your free 10 daily single pulls. When you've done 10 of them, you'll get a free 5* character and, while very unlikely, it's possible you could pull the person you want.
Flamm AS tomorrow or another dead week?
Great anniversary, morons.
vamp chick is way more valuable right now. You can grind cards at any time
https://twitter.com/AnotherEdenRPG/status/1623518643375210498
cry about it
I'm pulling her.
>Vulva
Volva was a Norse oracle who was able to see the future. But yeah, I expect lots of jokes.
Indeed I will. Not gonna roll on it, have Alt Hismena who can provide the same Magic Break stacks. However, if you don't have Flamme, good banner, given it's just both of her forms with no bait rate up.
I'm doing the Timetwisted Maze for the first time and I just beat the floor 8 boss, but it was kinda rough. I had like 25% mp by the time the fight finished, but otherwise everyone was healthy, but I was getting a bit worried. Should I continue or should I quit out? How much higher does the boss difficulty ramp?
Your first goal in the maze is to find and save a Vow of Invincibility III between runs, then upgrade it to max. That way you'll be able to AF every other battle at the start of each run, which can be made to every battle with additional Vows of Invincibility.
Once you get that set up, it becomes easy as pie. I generally run Sup/Tec/Att/Att.
>Vow of Invincibility III
I will try to find this and save it. I've only got the +5% one right now and I have not yet encountered a way to upgrade them. I'll try double attackers next run too if that's the play
You can actually cheese the shops, they don't save their inventory until after you exit out of them, so find a shop, open it up, if there's no Vow III, close the game and then reload. Could take 10 minutes or so.
A few other options of runes to save are Normal Attack to All rune and the Critical Strike III rune. The former lets you turn your TEC into a mob clearer for the first ~8 floors before swapping it over to one of your ATK members, while the latter guarantees crits for the rest of your party and lets your SUP contribute actual damage. If you don't enjoy AFing every other battle.
Typically what you're looking for to complete the maze is a strong ATK rune, a way to enable it (if required), and as many damage multipliers as you can stack (overload, 100% crit, Evil Eye). Rapid Growth is great to stick on your damage dealer for all the trash mob fights too.
a Prey [weapon] III rune plus a Waning Orb makes short work of bosses, failing that All Out [weapon] III is good if you can manage your Vitality Orbs to enter boss fights at full health. Break [weapon] III can be enabled with your TEC but I generally try to go for Prey or All Out.
TEC can use either Drum or Armor to boost damage, with SUP either using Critical Strike if you didn't manage to find Target Vitals, or Vital Strike/Song of Rage if you did
I did a couple more runs and yeah, ATK seems like the way to go. Sort of a bummer that it's not more balanced, or maybe it is and I'm just too noob to see it yet. I was able to get easily to floor 12 by adding more ATKers, like without even thinking about it, but I still got destroyed in a few turns despite doing 23k crits, so I think I'm gonna farm some charms or something before I try to get to 20 again. I keep try to go deep instead of just dipping out with the rewards and I don't think that's the way for me to go just yet
So far I'm a fan of the aforementioned Critical Strike III on SUP. I picked up as many AF boosters as I could (heh, rng) and while that's cool I sorta just find it annoying to do unless I'm doing it on those gem guys or bosses
When you get comfortable with it you can just rull Sup/Att/Att/Att and obliterate everything.
You need to grind out the clams in floor 9 to 11 to get the runes and skill you need. If you can't, just escape.
Thanks bros. Was able to easily clear after switching to Sup/Att/Att/Att, didn't even need to unlock any charms other than the basic ones. Attackers OP
I don't remember any clams
The Ammonites/Nautiluses you fight in the under sea area will drop a Silver/Gold rune if you kill them after turn six. You just stall til then, if you need.
For Charms, when you unlock all of them, you'll want the one that lets you start at level 10, the exp up one and either the att up one or flares up.
Noted, I'll check that out next time. And I'll change the weapons too, though the only thing I used her for ever was basic attack, critical thing, and rage. I don't remember if those give staff buffs, but I'll switch next time to try it out
gj, one change I would make is have your SUP be a staff user. Unlike ATK and TEC, there are no SUP runes that get stronger for any weapon type other than staff.
Mostly useful for floors 5-7 and 9-11, and sometimes for the bosses.

Just realized that Guildna might become super fricking strong now thanks to this new character.
Does it even work that way? I doubt it.
Won't know till I try. And I will try.
I'll take it. I really enjoyed Guildna's sidequest also.
When does Garulea unlock? I've just finished Part 1 of the story, and I'm trying to decide where to spend Green Keys. The only thing that I know that I want eventually, probably, is to turn Necoco into Fireside Cat, so I was looking up her tomes and the only Green Key source is from that, which I do not have available yet. When does Garulea unlock, Chapter wise?
Are the Otherlands a good use of Green Keys in the meantime? Or should I still be using them to either unlock Episode drops or on the off chance I get Light/Shadow for someone? Or Ruins of Rucyana?
You have to complete Chapter 55 for the first one to unlock.
Otherlands are REALLY outdated (though JP literally just got an update to buff them, which may or may not make them relevant again) so I wouldn't prioritize them at the moment.
Ruins of Rucyana isn't that great either. I'd do it just for the award+CS you get for buying all 8 items but wouldn't farm it past then.
I'd keep using most of my green keys on episode drops+light/shadow.
>Chapter 55
Rip, that's a long ways off. I finally feel like going and doing all the stuff I kinda just breezed past now that I've reached what I think is a good "stopping point", so I feel like that's gonna be a long ways off if I'm only "halfway" with lots of side content between
>I'd keep using most of my green keys on episode drops+light/shadow.
Understood. Thank you (and everyone else) again again for fielding my noob questions. There is a *lot* of stuff in this game
Don't worry, the journey is fun. At least it was for me
So I ended up getting the character I wanted to SDE for in the 10-roll for the SDE fragment. Torn between Hisnena Alter and Tsuhika Alter.
Tsukiha Alter doesn't really add anything if you already have Necoco AS. Hismena Alter can slot into pretty much any team.
Thanks bros. I think I'll go with Hismena but hold onto my fragment for the time being as I intend to roll for Minalca and it sure would be a shame if I ended up getting her along the way. Normally I wouldn't worry about it because the odds are so low, but I never expected to get Alma off-banner on my way to select her. So here we are.
Just depends on what you need more. Tsukiha offers good damage and extremely strong party buffs. She's a fire zone setter and you get a lot of strong, free fire characters. She can also switch any party member's element to fire, so she can turn anyone into a fire character. Of course, if a boss is immune to or resists fire you'll be in trouble.
Hismena Alter is more of a selfish damage dealer, but she deals a lot of damage and is very versatile thanks to her ability to change her weapon type, which lets you use her on any sort of Weapon zone team. Either one is very strong, it just comes down to which party role you need more.
>Hismena Alter is more of a selfish damage dealer
Not with that sick 50% phys/water def debuff and variable [weapon] break.
compared to Tsukiha Alter, she is
Outside of a fire mono team, Hismena Alt will provide far more damage support to her team.

So since there's no pity, how many pulls per banner are recommended if you want to pull on something? Is there like a community agreed upon soft pity or something like that? Or is the expectation sort of that you either commit to going all in or dont pull at all?
And the income is like 2k stones per month? So if the game's 4 years old, does that mean there's roughly 48k free stones in the game (since 1k stones per month comes from login), or are there more than this 50k stones? Considering Flammelapis, obviously. I've acquired 12k of whatever the finite amount of total stones there are
Last I heard, a couple of months ago, new players have a bit more than 100,000 chrono stones locked behind all of the quests, collabs, reward ladders, etc.
I do like that answer more than 48k
>And the income is like 2k stones per month?
assuming you're on mobile/emu and not steam
20 mail+20 ad+10 ad per day * 30 days = 1500/month
plus the monthly trials for 25 and 50 battles
then you have the variable gems from the 5 ads, which can be 5, 10, 20, or 0 gems(if it's a key instead of gems) so anywhere from 0-100/day, but typically closer to 15~20/day
so yeah, about 2k/month from login bonuses alone, not counting the CS you get for completing the story, beating bosses, manifests, etc.
as for pity, there is none. I spent 10-20k on each of Myunfa, Daisy, and Hismena (Alter) without pulling them. Daisy was especially bad, with only a dupe Tiramisu to show for it.
I go all in, since there isn't many characters left that I don't have and all the upcoming ones (minus Minalca) are alternate forms of characters I already have

This team is crazy
What does Necoco add to it, numbers wise?
Scintillant Spirit
Power, Intelligence, Speed, and any weapon equipped characters' damage of all party members +50% (current turn only) and Weakness Multiplier of all party members +1 (current turn only)
In any elemental zone:
Change the attack type of all enemies and allies to match active elemental zone (current turn only)
Guiding Light characters only:
Strength/Intelligence/Speed/Weapon damage type buff effect increase (+75%)
Goddamn WTF. I've got the hussy (parenthetical statement: Necoco is not a hussy) hussy and haven't had the opportunity to use her cuz I've killed absolutely everything in the game. Gimme til Monday when I can get Juno (need exactly 120 tusbura) and I can damage test all things. Jesus I doubt anything in 3.0 can withstand such force.
I love Myrus
We all do anon.
>do single pull for kicks
>tsukahika
ok
I also go her twice
Moke is the best written character in the game.
Was kinda having second thoughts about spending 8k to get Flamme, but her 0 MP farming skill and the fact that she starts every battle with AF are huge (albeit unnecessary) quality of life upgrades. Also her JP voice is super cute
The AF filling is going to become even more unnecessary with the next update, since the QoL from JP where food fills AF should come with it too.
>food fills AF should come with it too.
Amazing this took five years.
I don’t remember hearing about that. Any other changes?
Why is it like 1000x easier to go from AS to NS than it is to go from NS to AS? I have two AS characters, Flamme and Anabel, and in 1.5 days worth of keys I already have their tomes to get them to NS, but it seems like AS tomes are untargetable, and not only that but you need 5 of them(!!). Crazy
Tomes are 2.8% drops, Treatise are 0.1% drops.
Specific Tomes only drop from specific ADs, whereas Treatises can drop essentially anywhere.
However once you unlock Garulea, each clear has 5 slots compared to normal ADs' 3 slots where Treatises can drop but not Tomes. Also you'll eventually meet the Sensationalist who gives you your choice of Treatise/Codex/Opus, and once you have 3 Treatise or Codex you can buy the other 2 from the nopaeW Emporium.
And when you farm a Tome, you're (most likely) no longer working on Light/Shadow farming until you get the Tome you need, whereas Treatises will naturally drop as you farm L/S in either Toto's or whatever main story or collab dungeon you're running.
This is particularly notable when you get to really late-game when you can start making True VC Grasta; you need 30 Tomes, 15 Treatise/Codex, or 9 Opus. By running Toto+Garulea, you'll have a bunch of Treatise and very few Tomes
>need 30 Tomes, 15 Treatise/Codex, or 9 Opus
>By running Toto+Garulea, you'll have a bunch of Treatise and very few Tomes
Maybe that evens it out a bit, but for me right now, having zero Necoco AS treaties but getting both of my NS tomes in like one single day, it's difficult for me to imagine this situation being reversed
I wish toto's wasn't so ANNOYING with all the shit that constantly respawns to make you watch an anim play to bypass it. I would rather have grinded a billion trash materials to perma get rid of all of that shit.
>Valentine's banners
Time to get baited yet again
Hope you get the love of your life.
Hoping for Alma, but I'd happily take Daisy as well
It's bait in that someone with a nearly full box already will likely end up getting +4 shadow on Elga or something, rather than someone new
Well the one uses free stones and gives a guaranteed 4.5* or 5*, so that's really good and not bait at all.
Echoes of Mana just got murked. Hopefully it's just because of Square Enix.
Most Square gachas have a very different business model than AE, they rely on small groups of whales rolling for dupes until they burn out. Then the IP is scuttled.
AE won't get EoS'd until late 2024 early 2025 when they put out Another X.
Beginner's banner. For anyone who's been playing long enough it's bait.
>Beginner's banner
Even as a noob I feel like I'm just gonna get another 4* Miyu
Well Minalca's in eight days, may as well wait for her, especially if you lack Melissa, who should share the banner.
Miyu won't be on that banner
it has to be a gacha character whose 5* form you could pull from the gacha, and it's NS only so you won't get any Miyus, Nikehs, Otohas, Prais, etc. on the last door
>so you won't get any Miyus, Nikehs, Otohas, Prais, etc. on the last door
Oh, nice, might be worth then
What's so good about the buddy system?
They're like the defense equipment for the Wanderer in the Vortex superbosses, except you have them all the time.
Minalca's buddy automatically deals magic damage to all enemies, heals your party, and restores status, but you can also make it deal 700k~1m damage, revive everyone, heal everyone to full, and give them Hold Ground. And its passive is whenever someone has less than 80% of their max HP, they get a +25% max HP and MP buff and +30% phys and type resist.
Ashtear's buddy automatically deals fire blunt damage to a random enemy which powers up every turn. You can also make it recover the AF gauge. And its passive adds a -25% PWR & -25% INT debuff to all of your fire attacks.
The 3* buddies are shit, but the 4* buddy has a passive where, when one of the new weather systems is active, AF damage increases by 50%.
I assume that they'll continue releasing buddies? Or do you know if there are plans to like retroactively give buddies to characters who seem like they should have a buddy? Cuz your description of Minalca's vs the free ones makes it seem like it might be worth it to pull her just for the buddy
They've only existed in JP for 3 months. So far there haven't been any new buddies, but there also haven't been any new characters either (Iphi excluded)
I really hope we get at least a 3* Moke buddy.
he's basically an extension of thillelille, so if we got him he'd be 5* and you'd need her to get him
It could be a different Moke, like one of his cousins from by Thotlantica.
I was expecting Iphi's bat to be a buddy.
Probably the best roll I've ever had in all this time playing.
We got us a fellow asia enjoyer here
>Another 5* dupe and 4.5* dupe

What's the most efficient farming method for the Maze? It takes me all day just to get to floor 20 and the return is disappointing; sometimes I don't even get israeliteel ooparts.
Usually takes me 2 and a half hours to do my runs too. I just take Vow+5 and then stack my attack unit. If you get lucky from with floor 1 to 12 with runes and skills, I just beeline for the boss from 13-20. Save one Waning Orb for survivability. Yeah it's pretty fricking boring grind and if you become complacent and get wiped, It's really frustrating since you usually die 2 hours into the run.
I've pretty much got bored doing the maze and avoided it for months now since it came out. I know the rewards can be good and you can take breaks at anytime, but my motivation to do it at all is gone.
>What's the most efficient farming method for the Maze?
I'm still a newbie, but I love roguelikes so I did it for a while as soon as I unlocked it, and even I think it takes too long to get to the end for the rewards it gives, even if all the gear it gives me is miles better than what I currently have access to in the story
If I were going to try to grind out the OOParts, I'd probably speedrun to the first boss, grab the OOParts, and then leave. I've never timed it, but that seems like it takes 5 minutes tops since the charms allow you to skip every fight, and you get 3 coins guaranteed from selling the boss OOParts, so in less than an hour you could guarantee yourself getting 1 gold OOPart. I don't know the exact odds, but I think that buying israeliteeled this way is probably not worth it and that you'd be better off running the whole thing, but as you said that's also not guaranteed. It seems infinitely more boring to run the same 4 floors over and over again than to do the whole thing, but if I were trying to farm the gear only then that's probably what I'd do
I just take a team of 4 attackers, rush the first boss on level 4, grab the treasure and leave. I do one of those runs every day. It takes maybe 5 minutes. That way I don't burn myself out.
>Laclair

JP Livestream announced for February 22nd, final Apocrypha chapter will require Azure Rebel completion. Galliard 5* finally!?
i doubt they'll give Galliard's 5 star upgrade in an Apoc chapter.
Chapter 6 will probably feature one of these characters. My guess is Cetie ES
Yeah, Cetie ES is a good guess because he also got some story stuff before this.
Guess I better start leveling up Renrie and Cetie. That's quite the bonus lineup.
I don't have Biaka, may luck be on my side after I get 1000 gems
she's honestly not that great
if you want her for the bonus episode currency, don't bother. it's really easy to max it out with just the free characters
I enjoy my story based teams. I'm the character enjoyer. I already won the game fully. I have the world destroyer team.
Yes I am the same person who chanted Bria. I'd chant her again too.
Chanting Bria is the objectively correct option, since you can't get her 5* any other way which means you'd miss out on the CS.
5 chants for 10 stones doesn't seem like an equivalent exchange, give a key is worth minimum 5 stones, using ads as economy.
But hey, you earned your chants and can dispense them as you will.
I did it for Bria. Bria was the reward
Rovella will get an AS before Galliard gets his 5*.
The last chapter of Wanderer in the Vortex? Man, I knew that was coming, yet I'm unhappy to see it end.
I wouldn't be surprised if this was the last loop and there's another update for to tie it all up, but I could be wrong. Did they specify seventh or final?

Could be far worse, Biaka AS or some shit.
Biaka AS is a great upgrade, especially if you only have her 4.5
You'd get a decent unit, a manifest fight, and 2 character quests.
Unless you meant Biaka AS to NS, which would be bad if you also already had her 4.5 and were able to get her manifest.
>Eternal Protector Badge
>Claims to be MP+80, Restore Skill Effect +50%
>Put it on Uquaji
>Goes from healing 30%/turn to 32.85%/turn
So it's basically the Restore Skill Badge, but with a value of 9.5% rather than the 15% that Restore Skill Badge has.
Extremely disappointing, thought maybe I could avoid having to run the Maze for 100%/turn Uquaji build.
And now I'm wondering if the other Tales badges are similarly lying in their descriptions.
>100%/turn Uquaji build
I don't have Uquaji yet, but I do run maze sometimes so would you mind sharing which equip modifiers are needed to get the 100%/turn heal with him?
Restore increase on Fists
Restore increase on Necklace
From lv 1 Medical Fists and either lv 1 Feather Necklace or lv 1 Solid Necklace
Then you devote the 3 Grasta Ore+1 Badge slot to 20% Restore, 20% Restore, Bull's Eye, and Rose-with-Thorns(/All Attack Badge).
30%*(1+0.3+0.3+0.2+0.2)*1.5*1.15 = 103.5%
Using the 15% Badge instead of the 20% Grasta Ore theoretically should also work but there could also be a rounding issue which drops a couple HP off the final heal. I'd have to get the Fists for Uquaji to test for certain. Plus, the All Attack Badge isn't hard to obtain or the Strongest Pree-Teen badge, if it really does do the same thing, which I should test to make sure it ALSO doesn't have a false translation
Sweet, I will keep an eye out for those fists and necklaces, thank you
After testing Strongest Pre-teen Badge.

>Uquaji base heal, no gear

>Uquaji heal with Strongest Pre-teen Badge

>Uquaji heal with All Attack Badge (or with rose-with-thorns ore)
690
Strongest Pre-teen Badge gives a whopping 1.5% increase, compared to the 15% increase of other sources of rose-with-thorns.
50% more MP cost for 1.5% increase, no thanks. Probably the worst badge in the game, unless you somehow wanted to use up more MP while simultaneously not increasing your damage.

Damn that's actually pretty nice. 2*s, 3700 extra stones cumulatively.
There's apparently a maximum of 1800 CS for the daily CS.
So either the AE team is bad at math, or you stop getting the extra daily CS after 60 days and the duration is just a bit of buffer for people who don't log in every single day.
Yeah, it has a cap of 1800. After you've logged in 60 times, you'll have gotten all the log in rewards, but the campaign duration will last for 90 days total, for people who start later or miss log ins.
If I give Guiding Light (Ax) to NS Necoco, will she keep it when I eventually am able to turn her into AS Necoco? I assume alter characters don't carry over though?
>>Free 5* for starting a new part of the main story
>>1k CS for clearing a part of the main story
Does this refer to any part of the main story, or do I need to speed run up to where the current story is?
>If I give Guiding Light (Ax) to NS Necoco, will she keep it when I eventually am able to turn her into AS Necoco?
Yes, L/S is kept between a character's NS, AS, and ES forms.
This lets units with an ES double dip on items, for example using both Shadow Ax and Shadow Staff on NS and ES Nagi.
>I assume alter characters don't carry over though?
Also correct.
>Does this refer to any part of the main story, or do I need to speed run up to where the current story is?
It's any part starting with Part 2 Part I. So chapter 45 I think? It's been a while, I forget if Goddess of Time is Part 2 or if Ogre Wars was.
Regardless, don't speedrun.
>Yes, L/S is kept between a character's NS, AS, and ES forms.
>This lets units with an ES double dip on items,
Nice, thanks anon
>It's any part starting with Part 2 Part I. So chapter 45 I think?
I'm right around there, so I'll probably hold off on continuing the main story for a few days just to be safe

Objectively probably a better drop than "any random 5* in the game", but personally... it's basically all dupes for me.
And notably no Alma, the one character I wanted most from this drop, despite her being Crystal Zone setter.
I assume this banner is identical to the JP banner was when part 3 came out, since our SDE is also super outdated compared to the anniversary one.
And the other paid banner is also pretty bad. Although it, for some reason, has Alma on it despite the Zone drop not having her.
The Otherlands QoL is huge, and the AF refill is pretty nice too.
Oh nice! Two free 5*'s. One singing/zone character, plus the one from the 10 whispers.
>Objectively probably a better drop than "any random 5* in the game", but personally... it's basically all dupes for me.
Yeah I've got an 18% chance of someone new, and of that, only Pizzaca and Violet Tuba are worth doing the rain dance for. Still nice.
>Ilulu AS would be a new character
>Nagi ES would almost bring her to 200 shadow
>Tsukiha ES would bring her to 175 shadow
>Suzette ES, Claude AS, Hardy AS, Mistrare AS, Red Clad Flam, Cyan Scyther, and Violet Lancer would all save 5 Chants
>and then 20 or so other possibilities are all mediocre dupes
~33% chance of a decent pull.
Alright, decent pull. Probably the 2nd worst of the decent pulls, but still a decent pull nonetheless.
Well, that's an easy skip then. I already have everyone up until Orleya, so there's no reason to spend money getting a guaranteed dupe. Guess I'll throw my monthly Celestial Spark at Minacla.
How do you permanently remove the CC sidequests from your list?
That's the neat part. You don't.
I just want them gone for aesthetics' sake.
It looks like you have the choice between completing the symphony and having them all spawn again or leaving the symphony in progress forever. Both hobble my autism, I'll just pretend they're not there.
At least with the Auction stuff you can turn them in and never get them again if you so choose.
They'll disappear when the crossover finishes in 3 years 🙂
Probably wise to take that as the soft "end of service" date.

Looks like I'll be throwing some stones at Minalca then since I don't have Melissa, the buddy would be a good pickup anyway, and the consolation prize is (probably) a good character quest
I've only completed Iphi and Eva's because they had abilities that I wanted to unlock, so to me it was literally every quest. I also did Nikeh's first quest back when I first came across it, which sorta kinda was a little bit sad I guess, but I didn't complete the whole thing
Elga too.
No, just the ones you remember.
>Iphi in the front lets Thillelille AS attack at full efficiency from the start
>The extra damage lets Thillelille use Cup of Invincibility grasta to have enough MP to 1x18 ADs without healing above the 50% HP threshold
The queen regains her crown, nanodawa~
Always come back to the game when there is news of new happenings. 3.0 announced. Are we fighting our dad now? Is the vampire worth pulling over upcoming Minalca?
>Is the vampire worth pulling over upcoming Minalca?
Yes, Iphi is far better than Minalca. Iphi is a zone support unit who has a (currently) unique zone and a unique party wide auto revive mechanic.
3.0 will be out in about 27 hours.
>Is the vampire worth pulling over upcoming Minalca?
There's a lot to break down with this question, and the two are vastly different characters.
Starting with Minalca, one of the biggest reasons to pull for her is because of her Buddy, Tetra.
Read
and see how fricking strong it is compared to the free Buddies, although the newest JP unit also has a Buddy - it looks like Kamui restores MP, inflicts Break, reduces Shade Resist, but it might do more stuff/have a weather effect so it's hard to compare it to Tetra without knowing everything about it.
Minalca obviously synergizes very well with her own Buddy, since one of her passives has her damage your own party by 20% of their current HP to fuel her Stacks, which conveniently puts everyone into range for having their max HP and MP buffed by 25% and their resistances buffed by 30%. Tetra's auto also triggers since everyone is at or below 80%, stacking Charge, and then Tetra's heal patches them back up, where you then loop and start over.
So what about Minalca's actual kit?
>Basic attack replacement on all enemies that deals more damage with more enemies, going from 486% (1 target) to 3240% (5 targets)
>2nd Basic attack replacement after using Tetra's super move that deals 10500% to 1 enemy
>140% attack on 1 enemy that becomes 4200% if resisted
>160% attack on all enemies, x2 if enemy has Pain, and up to x20 power based on her Stacks (6400% max, probably closer to ~5000% with a normal team with no HP investment)
>200% attack on 1 enemy, inflicts 3 Fire Break, inflicts Pain, ignores barriers (damage reduction and status immunity), up to x20 power based on Stacks (4000% max, probably closer to ~3000%) and if the enemy has more than 50% health after the attack, she does it again
So Minalca is an unga bunga DPS, but by pulling her you also get a Buddy who acts as a healer, status cleanse, revive, Hold Ground, AND can deal solid damage.
Now let's compare Minalca to Iphi. Or as I like to call her, the single strongest character ever released in Another Eden.
Yeah, spoilers: Iphi is fricking fantastic.
>Battle start passive
If Iphi's in the front line, she gives ALL other party members (front and backrow) Blood Contract.
>Blood Contract
This is the Risktaker Lunatic, which activates all skills relying on the user being in Lunatic state. In case you need a reminder on what Risktaker does: Gives a 70% damage buff. Gives 100% Crit and Magic Crit rate. Deals 20% to self before all attacks.
So it doesn't synergize well with someone like Gariyu who deals 6x damage at full health, but for anyone either HP agnostic or desiring low HP, Iphi's mere presence on the frontline is a great damage buff.
>Blood Contract part 2
As long as at least 1 party member has Blood Contract, all enemy attacks that would hit your entire party instead become Single Target attacks, hitting the rightmost ally with Blood Contract but dealing double damage.
Furthermore, as long as Iphi is on the frontline, alive, and not incapacitated (Sleep, Stone, etc.) she will revive and fully heal ANY ally with Blood Contract who would otherwise die from an attack - this removes the Blood Contract but otherwise retains all buffs(and debuffs) on the ally that would have died.
She essentially turns any boss who only uses AoE attacks into a free win as long as you use the correct moves on the correct turns.
>Iphi's Stack
When Iphi revives someone who "died" with Blood Contract, she gains Stacks which buff her max MP and make her skills stronger. Because JUST being the best character wasn't good enough, she needed more.
>Shade Zone
+50% Shade damage, +30% non-Shade damage.
However if the enemy Resists your attack, that doubles to +100%/+60%.
If Zone is Awakened, Shade damage is doubled (+100% normally, +200% if Resisted) non-Shade stays +30% unless it's Resisted, then it becomes +90%.
Combine this with Eva's 3400% if Resisted Lucent Magi, or Minalca's 4200% if Resisted Sodom and see tens if not hundreds of millions of damage on RESISTED attacks.
They're not Shade-element? No problem, Iphi's skill that deploys Shade Zone can also change all allies' element to Shade for the rest of the turn. Oh, and it also applies Blood Contract to the party if nobody has it, and it gives Mental Focus to everyone because why wouldn't it. And it's preemptive.
"What about her other skills?" you may ask
>Delayed status cure plus status immunity plus Iphi gains a Shield worth 1000-5000 HP, depending on how much damage your party took that turn
>PWR+INT+SPD buff, 50% each for 3 turns. Or 65%, 80%, or 100% each for 4, 5, or 6 turns if Iphi's Stack is at 1, 2, or 3 respectively. And Knockback Immunity as well because why not?
>Preemptive Permanent Pain+Poison ignoring resist on all enemies. Plus a debuff to PWR, INT, SPD, and Type Resist, -35% to each for 3 turns. Or -40%, -45%, or -50% for 4, 5, or 6 turns, again, if Iphi has 1, 2, or 3 Stack.
>Shade type magic attack on all enemies, guaranteed critical, ignore MDef. 450% base damage, increasing to 675%, 900%, or 1350% at 1, 2, or 3 Stack, and if at 3 Stack inflicts 3 Element Break Shade.
Her damage skill is the weakest part of her kit, but she's not meant to be a DPS unit anyways, and 1350% is still usable. Gariyu's a fine damage dealer and Inferno is a 1200% skill, which doesn't ignore MDef like Iphi does.
>Knockback Immunity
I'll never understand why this is translated as "Cyclone Wind."
Just by existing she's one of the biggest damage multipliers, and then you actually start using her skills where she debuffs all enemies, buffs your party, re-applies Blood Contract if they're all gone, her Blood Contract is a damage buff that also turns the rest of your party into pseudo-tanks (basically everyone becomes Prai vs. AoE skills) which in turn turns her into a pseudo-healer since she'll revive and fully heal anyone who would otherwise die.
Now Iphi and Minalca work beautifully together. Minalca is the unga bunga who shreds through health bars, while Iphi is the buffer, debuffer, healer, and sort-of-tank who maximizes Minalca's damage and keeps her from dying.
Replace Minalca with Eva, or with Flammelapis, or with Azami AS, or with most other damage units as long as they don't rely on being 100% HP and you'll still have a team of murder machines.
However if you want to replace Iphi you'll have to start with Milsha AS (the only way to get Risktaker on everyone), and additionally throw in a Prai/Radias AS/Soira AS (to redirect AoE attacks to the tank), and then you'll still have to throw in a PWR/INT/SPD Buffer AND Debuffer and a P/P setter... and you still won't have Shade Zone.
Minalca is a Jack of One Trade with a Buddy who's a Jack of All Trades, Master of None.
Iphi is a Jack of All Trades, Grandmaster of All of them.
Her pre emptive attack that deals 5x damage on the first turn and also heals the party is another jack of all trades thing that's been very helpful for me as a newbie, and with her Lunatic/Blood Contract restoring her own MP she's a very reliable trash mob farmer. That probably falls off later, but that's another thing to add to the jack of all trades list
One important point about Iphi that I forgot to mention (because, again, ALL of that just wasn't strong ENOUGH)
You know how Lunatic has that annoying property where it lasts 3 turns and then runs out? Or 5 turns, if you have that one Grasta equipped? Meaning if you have, say, Eva (starts battle in Lunatic) plus Orleya (+1 use of Lunatic for all party members) you could have Eva be in Lunatic for 15 turns?
Blood Contract has no turn duration.
It is permanent until "death".
And Iphi can re-apply it indefinitely, and preemptively, as long as her MP lasts.
Now yes there is a little bit of a restriction on reapplying Blood Contracts, since if somebody still has one, Iphi won't reapply them, but if nobody dies (or you can manage killing your characters properly) you can have up to 100% uptime on Lunatic. 100 turns of Lunatic? Probably not with how much damage you'll be doing, but theoretically possible.
But that brings me to another thing I failed to mention about Iphi; HER basic attack.
>Blood Ritual
If ally has Blood Contract, deal 99999 fixed damage (obviously killing them, removing the Contract, and reviving them) which then grants Barrier Pierce and restores 50% of Iphi's MP.
So not only does she have a way to get rid of a Contract to then reapply them to the whole party, she recovers half of her MP which helps with the whole
>as long as her MP lasts
Her 450% attack that comes with a 20% heal is great for a new player, but come endgame it becomes the weakest part of her kit.
I mostly rate characters based on endgame, since that's when the real challenge hits.
Though to be fair and compare Minalca's early game to Iphi's, Minalca's basic attack vs 3 enemies (the most common random encounter formation) is a preemptive 1296% multiplier with guaranteed critical for 0 MP. Against 2 enemies, it's 648% which is still higher than Hypnophobia, but obviously doesn't carry the heal on it.
I'll give a few more points to Minalca. The first is her personalities.
Sword+Glutton isn't amazing, but the free Violet can be a Grasta slave for both of them. It's no Curio or Clarte situation, but condensing Grasta slaves is always nice, especially so for your DPS units.
Iphi meanwhile has Staff+Gun which can't be condensed down to just 1 slave. She also has Spicy Lover which... again wouldn't overlap with her other personalities when we get a Spicy Grasta.
However, Iphi is more of a support anyways, so she could easily be a Grasta slave for a party with, say, Alma (Gun) and Lele AS (Staff)
And the second is how it looks like she'll be able to 1-shot all ADs that don't null Slash/Fire.
She might need Otoha AS and/or Cup of Invincibility Grasta for her Tribute to stay high enough, but between her auto Fire Break and either Damnation (especially with Tsukiha ES auto setting Pain) or even her basic attack if 486% preemptive+guaranteed crit is enough, I could see myself swapping over to Minalca DPS for my daily 1-1-1 or 1x18 AD runs, if I end up getting her.
I'm chanting lovely next
I'd strongly recommend not.
If she gets an AS, you'd want to chant AS Lovely instead to get 2 character quests instead of just 1.
If she instead gets a Manifest, you can chant NS Lovely then for the 160 CS if she doesn't pop up off banner.
As someone who has used Lovely against several superbosses, she absolutely is not strong enough to justify spending chants.
She would be entirely af filler for the sake of memes. I have every boss raping character.
Why is Alma's damage so inconsistent? I set her up the same way every boss battle and she either nukes the frick out of it or does wet noodle damage. I don't get it.
Do you have more detailed examples? What enemies you're fighting, what other characters are in the party, what skills Alma uses and in which order?
Without any of that information, a cursory examination of her skillset leads me to assume she nukes the frick out of bosses who have Weaknesses, due to Mind's Eye, possibly Crystal Stance, Brain Record matching element, and Crystal Fragor.
Alternatively, if you're using her with Eva+Nagi ES to massively buff Crystal damage, Brain Record swapping her to Wind might be fricking up your setup.
I'm trying to frick up the end boss from the latest tales collab. I'm running iphi, necoco AS, Alter Hismena, and Alma. The rest are grasta slaves. I take three turns to setup shade another zone, buffs and hoping hismena gets binded. I apply scope, lunatic, then the barrier piercing move with alma. That same turn I have necoco use her spirit buff to adapt the type to shade and have iphi apply pain/poison. I also have hismena apply magic break. There's lots of shit going on so it's hard to put it coherently, but that's the gist of it. Sometimes I deal a huge chunk out of the boss' hp but sometimes it's only a fraction.
The first thing I can think of is your Another Zone is running out. Which is even more catastrophic for your damage against the Tree since it puts up Defense Zone when you hit its stopper.
Although if Hismena is applying Magic Break then you'd be starting with 2 Staff units in the front, so you likely don't awaken zone until turn 2 or 3?
Other than that... I don't know enough about that boss to know what it actually does. It know it has a frickton of END and SPR. Maybe it's using a buff or debuff that's cutting your damage?
The only other thing I can think of is SPD rng, where Alma outspeeds somebody before their buff/debuff and does less damage because of it.
If you break it down turn by turn like
>Turn 1
Iphi uses Walpurgisnacht, Necoco uses Spirit Wisdom, staff grasta slave swaps in for Hismena, Alma uses Brain Record
>Turn 2
etc.
I might be able to identify something else.
I tried recording a video but there is too much rng involved and my team keeps getting killed. It's too hard to beat right now.
Even if you die, being able to see which turns Alma deals a bunch of damage and which turns she hits like a wet noodle can help explain what's going on
With what he was describing, he needed 2 staff users on the frontline to start Hismena off with magic flex. I assumed he did so with Hismena in the back, since Alma and Necoco AS both set zones and Alma also requires all of her setup. Hismena in the back was the logical assumption, although Necoco AS back is still workable, it'd just require a different start for Iphi than what I was thinking.
Why aren't you starting Hismena on the front line?
I put two staff users up front so hismena does staff break. Turn 2 I swap necoco AS in.
T-MINUS SIX HOURS TIL WE ALL SEETHE ABOUT NOT GETTING MINALCA
I'm going to seethe about my last 4 or 5 multis but not even any 4.5* instead
Not me, I'm going to wait for the whispers to see if her 4.5* pops up.
I think I've come up with my new chassis for LTC battle simulator
>Milsha DPS
>Mistrare AS
>Iphi
Stack 3 Steidi with Thalassa-Yfalos, simultaneously buffing earth+shade damage
Use Adis-Triana once to lock in 8 turns of 1200% end of turn damage
Either return to Thalassa-Yfalos to keep the buff running, or swap to Rust Earth Stab for 800% instead of 750% damage
For Mistrare AS, I think Lepus Musica is correct when Milsha spams her Earth skill and has Delfini End of Turn attacks go off? Or would Milsha have to swap between 2 different skills to buff her EoT attack? Either way, she adds another EoT attack to get through multiple stoppers in 1 turn
Iphi activates Milsha's Lunatic requirements without having to waste an action going into Lunatic, sets Shade stance to buff the EoT attack, and just generally does Iphi things
For the 4th character I'm thinking Melissa in most cases, to facilitate the T1AF for Milsha's stacks into Adis-Triana, a type attack buff for the 1st and 2nd turn, and I guess her Break could be helpful.
Or Eva if the T1AF isn't tight enough to need Flash Zone, for another DPS and better Break setter.
Or Hismena Alter when I get her, for zone awakening and stacking Pierce Break.
How's everyone's Minalca funds looking?
holy fug
1235 cs
but they're Yakumo funds, not Minalca funds
6k
Ugh. 24k chrono stones before I finally got her 4* form. Glad I got her but damn, this game can be pretty punishing sometimes.
IOS version up.
For the Toto dungeon, is it better to have a party completely full of free characters, 1 Light / 1 Shadow, or it doesn't matter at all and if I only have 1 free character then that 1 character will always rng the light/shadow if it's triggered to drop?
The way the Toto Theater Dungeon works is, you have a 1/5 chance to get one point of Light/Shadow given to a free character in your party at the end of the run. You have a 1/25 chance to get two Light/Shadow points and a 1/125 chance to get 3 points. Those points will be randomly distributed to any free characters on your team. If you only have 1 free character on your team, that character will get all of the points.
So it's better to just have one free character on your team, so ensure that they will always get all of the points. I remember people doing the math and saying that if you take Aldo (or another free unit) through Toto Theater instead of their dedicated dungeon, it will shave about a month off the time it takes to get a character to 255 Light/Shadow.
Excellent, thank you for the breakdown
>Got her in one 10 pull
>Kinda feel sad since I don't get a chance to get other characters I'm missing while desperately hoping for Minalca
Now waiting for the new male character in 3 months.
Did anyone get their whisper of time drop today? It's not showing up in my dreams. Do I miss it since I activated the login cat early?
whispers don't start until the day after the update
thanks. was wondering.
>activated the login cat
what a phrase
>try to update the game to pull on Minalca
>game keeps crashing during update
Awesome.
>Only a few minutes into the new chapter and already there are so many dialogue...
>boxes written like this.
God fricking damnit. They got rid of the moron who "localized" characters into talking like 16-year-old-girls on MySpace, but couldn't they tell the...
guy in charge of translating that this is also shit?
I guess they figured doing that instead of mangling dialogue to fit into a single text box was the best solution for now?
Or, and hear me out because this is crazy.
Some Guy
>It forms the heart and brain embedded in a mek's body. It is life itself.
Some Guy
>Without our lightspark we would die.
I hope WFS localization improves in AE2. I'm still traumatized with how badly they "translated" the end of the Persona 5 collab.
>these horrors
>these random encounters
hoo boy it's like I'm back at the start of the game, actually having to care about my party composition while walking around
based starky making me not feel this with my moronic setup
Do I dream milsha AS or mistrare AS? I have pizzica.
Probably neither of them, unless you're missing LITERALLY no other character other than Lovely.
If that somehow happens to be the case, Milsha AS. Sets a unique zone (though not that good of one), her songs put everyone in Lunatic (not as strong anymore with Iphi doing the same, but you can have both Shade Lunatics active at once), and her NS is really strong, by far the better NS sidegrade between her and Mistrare.
But I'd post the characters you're missing before picking one of them because there's almost certainly somebody better to pick.
Again, I'd post what characters you're missing.
Though in general I'd say Toova's better of the two, due to her Another Sense. Though Premaya melts Ishmaelithan, the new Thunder-weak Horror, and is strong in many T1AF setups just spamming Derringer.
This is who I'm missing.
Alright, a lot to unpack here so let's go through fundamentals
>Flash Zone
You have Melissa, so check
>Elemental support
You have both RCF and Necoco, so check
>Weapon support
You have Moonlight Flower and your Claude can sidegrade to ES, so check
>Jet Tactician
Check
>Start of battle P/P setter
Tsukiha ES, check
Godly fundamentals.
Scanning from the top for options I'm attracted to, the first one I see is Yipha AS. The second is Kikyo AS. The third is Toova Alter. The fourth is Milsha AS (partially to sidegrade to NS). The fifth is Victor AS. The sixth is Premaya Alter. The seventh is Thillelille AS.
Yipha AS would also be my first pick of that group. You have her point at your highest damage unit, go "You are now an unstoppable murder machine", and then buff the rest of your party's damage by a fair amount.
Milsha NS and Victor AS serve pretty similar purposes, DPS with an End of Turn attack to blow through multiple HP stoppers in 1 turn. Of the two, I find Milsha to be a more attractive option, as her EoT automatically continues for the next 5-7 turns and doesn't strictly rely on AF for big dick damage like Victor's does. And since you'd optimally SDE for Milsha AS and then sidegrade her, you'd also get Lunatic singing if you ever needed it. Victor AS is solid as well, but his NS is markedly less useful.
Premaya Alter basically serves the same role as Victor AS, minus the end of turn attack; big dick AF.
Toova Alter's Another Sense is a huge damage buff against most content where the damage would matter, and her 0 MP use passive is a decent QoL option for ADs.
Thille AS and Kikyo AS are both solid, but objectively not as pressing SDE targets compared to someone like Yipha AS. Thille's a strong AoE nuke who goes together with Iphi like peanut butter and chocolate, and Kikyo AS is an AF nuke similar to Victor AS/Premaya Alter who has damage based on speed and summons shadow clones to dodge attacks.
Thank you very much for your comprehensive explanation. This level of support can't be found in any other community. Like your suggestion states, I'll go for Yipha AS to buff my Lele AS nuke comp.
Overall, I'd rank SDE picks something like
Yipha AS > Toova Alter >= Milsha AS > Premaya Alter >= Victor AS > Thille AS > Kikyo AS
there are a few other possibilities as well, Myunfa AS, Daisy, Myrus AS, Dunarith AS, Philo AS. But those are getting more niche and I'd rank them lower than most the rest of the list. They'd certainly all be lower than YiphAS, ToovAlt, and MilshAS.
Who's better to pick?
You can basically get both of those as alter chants later. I do use Toova a lot though. But that's because I like my Twova team
I have no version of toova
>decide to take starky off team for kicks
>immediate wipe to basic mobs in new area
kek
Trying to run a story team, and every fricking fight requires me spamming Origin Force, Distortion, and Maiden's Resolution so I don't immediately die. Kind of wish Cyrus had a debuff or some kind of AoE.
I spammed starky and AS Asami for most of the content. Petalfall was useful for a certain boss as a backup move to get past a mechanic.
The rest was me spamming the shit out of ambush tactics pre-emptive debuffs and stuns.
Starky pretty much makes most common mobs that would otherwise be trouble a joke
>start part 3 on hardest difficulty cuz I've beaten every superboss
>immediately massacred by level 140 robo shrip
oh
>laughs in Flammelapis
I wasn't expecting for horrors to have HP stoppers. First boss is fairly easy, even maxed difficulty.
>This level of support can't be found in any other community.
Cuz unlike most gacha games AE doesn't run on coomerism.
It's true, I find a lot of the characters hot, but I'm more attracted to what they do in the game and their backstory.
How do you change the weather? Is it time locked or do you just zone in and out?
Zone in and out/rest at a rest spot on the map, iirc
Damn, I'm going for the rest kit right now
Thanks friend
6k spent and Minalca acquired. Got a Toova 5 and a Melissa 5 dupe along the way. Between Iphi and Minalca I'm completely tapped out and will be saving CS for the foreseeable future.
Her CQ wasn't bad. At least, the first two parts I did. Gotta finish the story before I can unlock the final part.
Leading up to Part 3 I cleared (most all) of my CQs and all of the SQs.The writing and formulaic approach really, really, really becomes insanely repetitive and boring. It seems like the newer releases have stepped up the quality, however.
I just had my wife roll for me, got Minalca after 4k. Now saving up for AS mariel.
>I cleared (most all) of my CQ
I did that as well, most of the 1.0 (meaning 4* max) quests I just auto'd while working, though. Illulu seems to be the line where they become consistently good, but hers are utter trash.
I've only done CQs of 5*'s that I have. Older/genesis CQs tend to be much more brisk at least. I finished all three of Toova's in half an hour when some CQs like Rosetta or Minstrare end up lasting that long just for one.
God Rosetta AS' character quest is such a shitshow.
Yeah, AE has a big problem with structure and pacing.
Well, I'm moronic. I bought the SDE planning to grab Minalca but they only had old characters on it and everyone was a dupe that I already had. Ended up getting a Mariel dupe. What a fricking waste.
>Azul Scure
>STILL no Crystal Axe unit
Necoco.
Odd request but when someone is doing Chapter 88 of the main story, there's a line where aldo says "I'm not going to help you with your terrorist acts". I need the screenshot for reasons.
I'm not going to help you with your terrorist acts
I got you anon. It'll be a little while though.
NTA but here you go.
God bless you, I'm immediately going to use this on /misc/.
I love these crazy sex eyes.
Kind of disappointed. Her normal attack isn't strong enough to one shot the enemies on the hardest difficulty, even with pre-emptive pain, two pain grasta and the increased normal attack 100% grasta on her.
Is 2x pain grasta + normal attack better than 3x pain grasta?
Yeah, normal attack grasta + 2 pain does more damage than 3 pain. Also you can equip her with the upgraded nightwing sword which increases normal attack damage by 100% and stacks. I think a Last Stand bracelet (increase damage by 15% when below 50% health) is also the best armor for her.
Are you also using Violet to share Glutton and Inferno Sword?
Yeah.
>want to do sidequest
>the weather changed and I can't go to the area needed to move it forward
Nice feature, WFS.
I think I came up with a pretty good 0MP mob clear team for story 3. The team consists of Flammelapis, Alter Shion, Alter Toova, and Tsukiha ES.
Flammelalis:
Full DPS build.
0MP preemptive normal attack.
Apply Break at start of battle.
Lowest speed priority.
Alter Shion:
Swaps Resist with Weak.
If no Resist, then can awaken Another Zone.
Shared speed priority with Alter Toova.
Weapon enables preemptive move.
Alter Toova:
For everyone in team, first move costs 0MP.
Can awaken Another Zone.
Shared speed priority with Alter Shion.
Weapon enables preemptive move.
Tsukiha ES:
Applies Pain to all enemies at the start of battle.
With Sacred Water Stance Grasta, applies Water Zone.
Highest speed priority.
Weapon enables preemptive move.
Pic related shows an overview of my team build.
For horrors with HP stoppers, I swap Alter Toova with Orleya for her Hold Ground.
if you have Toova for 0 MP, why aren't you using Neptune, with a Pain+Rose with Thorns grasta?
What is this?
The bottom left one is missing an eye
Here's what the treasure map is for.
>mysterious rock
>clearly an axe
This is probably a part of some weapon quest.
I'm slowly figuring out the train boss. I have to learn when to stall and when to attack just before it ORKOs my ass.
Just suplex it
SDE advice? I think I should get shion alter unless there's a more important character I need. Haven't really done any super hard bosses and have just been focused on easy stuff, just want to have what I need when I do. Also 1 opus away from dewey alter so I won't be picking him.
how do I make one of these? I also want some opinions.
aecheck.com
Thanks.
This is what I have. I do pretty good but I need to do the rest of my encounters perhaps. I really like Levia so I may go for her the rest of the way.
Jet Tactician is definitely the one I'd SDE for here.
Other viable options are Claude ES, Yipha AS, Eva, Milsha AS, RCF in around that order.
Although since you say you're 1 Opus away that leads me to believe you have Dewey and either didn't mark him, or only have 4.5* form of him and your image only shows 5* forms you own.
The 2 characters I'd recommend the most are Jet Tactician and Melissa, although the latter is currently on rate up with Minalca.
Flammelapis is the next most viable option.
Then some order of Milsha AS, Melina ES, and Tsukiha Alter.
Normally in SDE suggestions, Melissa is prioritized over everyone, but with what part 3 has thrown at me so far, I'd personally bump her down below Jet Tactician and maybe even Flammelapis's turn 1 Break+3000% nuke.
So both of you should probably SDE Jet Tactician.
Man, there are so many secrets in Story 3...
Tfw time traveling to make an island on the top right of the map didn't sink in the past
Where do I use this? It's so vague that I can't figure this one out.
have you tried the mountain
There's a guy on another island who will open up a new dungeon that leads to another dungeon that leads to a town. It's the big island on the south with the places you haven't been to yet labelled.
Chi-chi-Chiruriru nomu yo genki
Chi-chi-Chiruriru nanodawa~
testing cuz I'm moronic
Seriously don't click this until you beat part 3.1
Just beat the new story, looks like we're getting adult Sebastia as the free unit at some point, was not expecting that. Does that mean Riica was based off her all along?
I just finished the story. What did the nidhogg drop? I skipped past it too fast.
Power of Mind Dragon, meaning Aldo and Eve just got another unneeded buff.
Just realized that also applies to Claude and Gariyu too, sweet holy moly. Does Claude really need more powers of mind? He's got Holy, IDA, Royalty, Bookworm.
*holy = dragon
AAAAAAAAAAAA
THE SHINY SPAWN RATE IN OTHERLANDS IS STILL SHIT
bro, your Shiny Encounter+ Ore?
Even after reforging most are still worse than the Time Twisted Maze equipment.
>enjoyed Part 1
>dragged my feet through Ogre Wars because no thank you
>need to complete multiple prerequisites to be able to continue to the next part and unlock my 5*
>cleared Ogre Wars whenever patch day was
>still have only barely begun the Azul thing I have to do
...itai
Is the rest at least better than Ogre Wars?
Plot quality is for main story content is
Sword and Wings mythos > Wanderer in Vortex > Part 3 > IDA Mythos > Last part of Part 2 > Part 1 > Ogre Wars > First three parts of part 2
Azure Rebel is a side story and should only take you a day or two.
>Part 1 > Ogre Wars > First three parts of part 2
>Generally speaking I find that the side stories (Episodes and Mythos) tend to be better than the main story
...well at least the other stuff is apparently better than Part 1, which I thought was pretty alright
Maybe I'm just having a mental block where I perceive this to be a hurdle since it's forced rather than part of it
I'm only at the part where the dickyseur has been introduced
If you beat part 1 fully, go do the crossovers and side content for a while and just advance the required stuff as you get around to it.
I liked the Azure Rebel, I thought Leo was a pretty fun antagonist. Generally speaking I find that the side stories (Episodes and Mythos) tend to be better than the main story. Main story ends up feeling a bit disjointed.
>Main story ends up feeling a bit disjointed.
I disagree, spending three chapters on a snowman Tsukiha made fifteen years ago completely logically flows saving a concert the villains were having in the future.
Yeah. I like how Wanderer in the Vortex has a small cast that lets Nona and Aldo's dynamic as a newbie and veteran adventurer shine.
The cast in the main story just feels bloated. Riica/Cyrus/Feine agree with what Aldo says. Helena agrees while throwing in some French. Guildna says something mildly aggressive. It gets tiresome. This might just be a part of that whole classic JRPG feel though, which would be fair.
Once again, phantasy star did it best.
I hate sega so much for letting this shit get ruined by sonic team
Play the later Trails of Cold Steel games when they do that but with a group of 50 fricking party members walking around.
You have got to be kidding me
bump
I'm not.
I havent played Hajimari yet but the post-game boss scene is literally the whole squad of 70 playable character+non playable supports entering the room and talking with the boss before the fight, maybe 15 of the characters actually say something
>use chivalry
>enemy punches someone else anyways
Where do we get sidekicks other than the first and is it spoilers if so please spoiler
Go to the second floor of the bar in the Spacetime Rift and there's a kid who will tell you how to.
Thanks, went for some of my favs even if their buddy stats suck. Was nice to see a few returning minor enemies
Minus the story one, Tetra is from having 5* Minalca, one is from Gariyu's stuff, and the fourth is from a quest that stretches over the entirety of the new story sections' world
There’s also Lord Ukulele
What do I get from higher difficulty other than more bearing?
What's the cooldown of phase shift?
Milalca is such a gluttonous b***h with good intentions; fantastic.
Disappointed her quests never explain what is the deal with her hair thingies
these are real issues that need to be resolved
2/6 of the 3.0 Superbosses slain.
you happen to have a list for those? how to unlock etc?
All but one are tied to the bounty hunting quests, and aren't missable. The final one is on the world map and can be fought at any time after you get the boat, but has a side quest chain that weakens it.
oh is that the mecha kraken thing you scare off when you first get the ship?
I must have missed the paid Iphi banner. I could have sworn it said sometime in March. RIP.
>trying to do sidequest
>vines are blocking the way forward
This entire time layer was a mistake.
Use a tent.
FRIENDSHIP ENDED WITH KID+AS RADIAS
FRIENDSHIP BEGIN WITH IPHI+ES CLAUDE
what's the synergy between iphi and claude?
Both are general use core units that when stacked together mitigate everything while also stacking everything. Iphi can poison+pain while debuffing all offensive stats and boost all stats while providing her auto life/contract. Claude ES can debuff all offensive stats, increase all offensive stats, give Chain Up and provide any weapon type boost while increasing critical damage, plus end of turn heal.
Was slamming my head against Al Thomas, one of the S rank bounties using my previous core of Kid+AS Radias supporting Minalca but they couldn't consistently get her damage boosted as far as I needed. Swapped in the discussed core above and ended up stomping the boss in 4 turns.
Other party member was Hardy, but could just as easily be Melissa or a third support.
All superbosses now beaten, the last two have simple mechanics and no barriers/stoppers so can be blasted through by Azami AS and a team of 3 supporters.
>doing handhomosexual drain boss
>randomly sets off radica every single round
>hand kills a character and the get back up
>can't do shit with that character the rest of the fight or even tag them out
the frick
Do you get the sidekick if you upgrade 4.5 Minalaca?
yes
He's busted as hell, too. Survive for 7 turns (4 minimum with the superboss equip) and he can full restore/revive your party instantly, as in, doesn't take a turn, happens the moment you press the button.
does tetra also refill your mp? i already have iphi so I'm not hurting for health.
How do I frick up this robot homosexual on extreme Severed From fate 3 in 15 turns? He seems to fricking resist everything and eva becomes wet noodle by the time I hit the last thing. His lifebar also filled way the frick back up when I did get him there.
Easiest way is if you have Shion Alter and swap it to being weak to everything.
If you have 80 Light Eva you can copy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HbvJENcjoTU but it's rng heavy (Melina ES needs to land pain) and has an extremely tight T1AF
If you have Iphi and don't care about the "don't set a zone" part you can just nuke with awakened Shade zone
I care about the set a zone part. That is why I am struggling
kill him within 15 turns with a zone, then stall him out zoneless
But I can't use a zone. I want to clear the mission requirements. I want that little white man to pop up
you don't need to do all missions in the same clear with that one
Hmm this just became a lot easier then. Time to beat his ass with extreme prejudice
frick, I don't have Melina at all. I have no issues staying alive but this fricking boss stalls like no other
No, sadly. Tetra restores 20% of your HP every turn and also removes your party's status effects every turn. The status effect removal is nuts.
I can't imagine playing story 3 without tetra
Man Tiramisu's quests are fantastic. I was thinking "wow, she's just like a non-LARPing Suzette" and then who goes and shows up?
Is the Plasma staff better than the void staff or timetwisted maze staves? The raw stats are the highest yet.
>The raw stats are the highest yet.
Elpis beats them by and have a more useful passive in Overthrow. I don't think weapon sets are worth grinding for, I already cleared all the 3.0 superbosses using Moonshade/Void/Rainbow weapons.
Elpis Weapons are better than the Plasma weapons. Now the Void Weapons give you guaranteed Crits, so if your characters don't have some other way to get their crits guaranteed then the Void weapon is better. Time Twisted weapons have random bonuses and depending on what bonuses you end up with, you could deal more damage than you would with the higher base stats on the Plasma weapons. Like I have a staff that increases Type damage by 15% and increases damage by 15% when at max HP. Those bonuses end up making it deal more damage than the Elpis weapons do.
Some characters might benefit from other weapons. Like with Lele the Souleater staff gives her +150 MP so that's probably better than anything else depending.
Anybody know where "Vaporia" is? I'm trying to get 15 Time-Slumbering Fruit to upgrade a weapon, but I don't know where that is.
That's the entirety of the new continent.
Max out the difficulty and go into phase shifts
Fricking hell this took longer than I thought.
That little buttmonkey keeps telling me to frick off.
Find all the voice logs.
Frick you, c**t.
Just finished the new chapter. It answered a question I always wondered about.
Which was why did Feinne and Kamlanage have similar powers and why were the two of them able to boost one another's abilities? Well it makes sense since he's another Eden. I'm guessing in that alternate universe, he's the one who ended up with the Geo Prisma instead of Feinne.
What the frick is up with Gustaf? That thing turns my entire team to stone before it dies.
Anti-Stone badges?
>starky
>anti stone badge or rainbow ring
Didn't happen to me when I killed it, check its auras, which are listed on the same screen with its buffs/debuffs.
Frick new superbosses
She sexo.
She looks like a Tales of MC. Probably another designer baby like Nona.
>Spoiler
Explain.
have you done the quest after finishing the first 3 apocrypha chapters?
I've done that one, yeah.
Then you have the same amount of information as us. From what we've seen, it seems like Nona was sent into the time vortex (ala ARPX-Sophie) the same way that Noahxis and pals were, but ended up at Cochlea instead of getting dumped in Arat. Given this girl's tbh tbh eye and highlights match Nona's, there's most likely some sort of relation, with them both being bottle grown being the most obvious/simple. Could be something far more complex and likely will be.
It took several tries but Minalca shreds HP like a boss.
>10k on Minalca
>all of my CS
I'm still making mental adjustments to a gacha that has no pity, so at what point do I stop and just accept that I wont get it? On the other hand, if every character is always in the pool, I almost don't see a reason to hoard either, since it is a possible reality to hoard for a character and to still never get them on their own banner
You have to set your own limits.
Sometimes there's a free banner with only like 5 characters whose 5* forms you can get, but they're pretty high odds to get them
But saving for them is unreliable since you never know what characters are going to be on them, much less when they actually happen.
Personally I wait for a character I really want and go all in on them, then save and repeat for the next one. Even if you get unlucky with the banner character, you'll usually get some off-banners to make up for it, and eventually you can get spooked by the banner character you missed down the road.
Is the new jp guy not paired with any other rate-up character? What does the rate sheet of his pool look like?
Still the same 0.8%.
Wisely figured the husbando gays would go all on it.
>Male
Nobody cares, gay.
>Kills Aldo the 1st time they meet each other
He is based
So with the release of part 3.1, how must longer do we expect the game to receive new content? Goddess of Time took four updates, which were dropped December 2019 - August 2021, about twenty months.
If the finale of part 3 is the last content they ever release, that would put it around mid 2025, which more or less aligns with the projected December 2026 server close shut down date as predicted by the end of the CC crossover.
It's not closing as long as it is profitable for WFS.
They're going to use the ending to launch the sequel, Another X/Cross.
>Source: my ass
Imagine getting mad things that are plainly obvious.
Why are you lying?
You are the dumbest gorilla Black person to exer exist.
>Ad-hom
Shitposters gonna shit
Do you have a source for that?
There's no plan to shut the game down. It isn't super successful, but it still pulls in around one and a half million a month, which is really good. It's not the runaway success that Heaven Burns Red is (I read an article recently that that game alone accounts for around 80% of WFS' income) but Another Eden is still doing well financially, and there are a ton of gachas out there which wish they were getting the steady income that it gets.
Kato said part 3 is the end.
>no /vg/ general

EOS Dec 9th 2026 based on the agreement with Square Enix.
Doomposters get the frick out of my comfy thread and have a nice day immediately.

Jesus christ you are a massive fricking homosexual
Shut the frick up, Black person.
i love you anons
You need to frick off and die.
Cry harder then.
I'm crying but it's because I love Myrus
Shit taste; have a nice day.
I got sent back to the entrance of the building
Where is the handle in Strissal Highlands?
How are you even breathing, moron?
>keep getting anal fisted from heaven by triple uquaji
this shit is absolute cancer
kek, I've been there. I got by getting lucky and nuking them down with a big combo team plus praying to the heavens that they didn't resist all of my dealers
1TAF never fails me
I didn't even have the luxury of flash zone. I did have the luxury of hismena though.
Water zone grasta should be enough to carry you.
>finally got 3rd (and 4th on a single run) Toova opus
>now have nothing left to grind fore
I already beat their ass and took basedquaji back with me
How do I get in here?
Rest or wait until the environment is Oil and then you can push those rocks around.
WHY DO THEY NEVER MENTION THIS? I thought that was a fricking robot upgrade.
Speaking of which where do you even get the super upgrades to the robot?
I got her in the whisper of pain draw this round. Why is she good?
>Why is she good?
One of the best support characters, who is really flexible and can fit in basically any team.
Her basic attack becomes Faith outside of AF: add SPR/2 of caster to all stats of target (except HP/MP) (SPR Limit: 600)
Usually this is going to be ~+130-150 to all stats for your big dps nuker.
Her 2 AS board skills both (Increase) in effectiveness to whoever she used Faith on.
>Beannacht Bua, aka deal damage
Preemptive +50%(+100%) Critical damage, Weapon Damage, PWR, and INT for 1 turn. (+100% Type Attack for 1 move)
>Ath Dóchais, aka knockback immunity and that's basically the only reason to use it. Use Beannact Bua instead.
Preemptive +35%(+70%) Physical Resist, Type Resist for 3 turns. 1 instance of Status Immunity, 1 instance of Knockback Immunity. (Gain an HP shield equal to target's Max HP for 3 turns)
So you hit someone like Eva, Flammelapis, Azami AS, etc. with Faith to supercharge them and then spam Beannacht Bua for an all-in-one damage buff.
She also keeps An Aroir from her NS board, for +30% SPD buff and +30% Type Attack for 3 moves which is typically what she spams in AF after throwing up Beannacht Bua and maybe her Knockback Immunity.
And her VC lets her set either Bash stance (if 4+ fist/hammer users) or Wind stance, which can sometimes be relevant.
Okay that's fricking nuts actually. I leveled her to 80 just because but I'll try that out.
So the Plasma weapon/armor passives only activate when there is special weather? Seems like a total waste of time to grind, then.
I'm getting close to maxing out light for Eva (from the monthly freebies) and am wondering who I should consider maxing out shadow for. Any suggestions? I have most of the characters.
Alt Dewey or Iphi.
Now that you mention it I haven't really used Iphi that much since pulling her but I absolutely see the potential. She has so many useful skills, as well, so taking her to 80 is useful enough on its own.
D A I S Y
Just realized how nuts Yipha AS. Destroyed Aspid with a suboptimal lineup.
Where do you get the second encounter down badge in the new Tales substory?
>spent 1k
>got Shannon NS
deadshit kusoge eos soon. at least spook me with someone more useful
>5* Minalca off a greedy single pull 3* door
>10.9k CS into her banner
Got a Melissa too, but man I don't think I'll ever get used to not having a safety net pity, or what even the pity "would" be in this game
Sup bros, not played in years and picking the game up again. Last played just when the first Garulea was released, I believe. Got a few questions if you guys don't mind.
1 - From a quick glance at the wiki my equipment is outdated at this point - are there any decent grindable options to get some up to date armor/weapons these days that isn't gated with keys?
2 - What should I be spending my keys on? I had 360 light/shadow setups back then so that's not an issue though my characters are horribly outdated at this point, I imagine.
3 - Presumably grastas are still a thing, is there a general go-to setup for those and where should I get the "good" ones these days?
4 - Since a few posts above mentioned it; there's monthly light/shadow now? How does one go about getting those?
5 - I know power creep is always happening but who are the top broken characters these days? And are they available in the current SDE if I were to buy it?
6 - Any general tips or info I should know about?
>1
Do the Chrono Cross symphony; you'll be able to get the Prismatic set which is a great guaranteed starter set. You can also run the Timetwisted Maze for much stronger, but RNG reliant options. Even the level 1 weapons are strong, but ideally you'd get Spinal with good random attributes. Beyond those, your next easiest non-key options are from superbosses.
Armor is similar, Prismatic armor is fine, Glimmer armor from Timetwisted Maze is even more rare. The Might set can be made from just overworld materials, as can the Pitch-Dark and Lost Night sets, though those are gated deep behind Mythos so you'll have to run through it to unlock them.
>2
For green keys, AGAD is a strong option; Gariyu's true manifest makes him a beast, and you'll be able to stock up on P/P grasta. PGAD can get Azami some light in case you want to use her AS as your nuke. FGAD and Underworld are good for getting ores, but their L/S targets are suboptimal.
Once you get caught up in the story, you might want to run Otherlands for the new reforged weapons, or Ashtear's AD--though I personally have no experience with the latter yet.
>3
For DPS, triple pain/poison, with Bull's Eye+Rose-with-Thorns ore is in general what you'd be using unless a fight has specific strats.
Backrow characters hold shareable weapon/personality grasta for your dps.
Support characters might hold Grastas that let them set a zone, use [Weapon] Prayer, etc.
>4
Menu > Records > Award > Trial. Scroll down until you see "Trials of Cultivation" - NOT Ground or Heavens, unless you're paying for the sub
1. A few minutes into part 3 and you can buy one weapon of every type (for essentially free) that's better than most everything not maxed out until that point. It is actually a bit of a waste of time to farm weapons not found in part 3 really. Well except for the chrono cross prismatic weapons (100% critical rate). Timetwisted maze has the best options but you'd have to, you know, do timetwisted maze.
2. Green: Whatetever Garulea/Underworld/Omopolis dungeon. Start with present Garulea and get those pain grastas.
Red: Get Aldo 255 Light. Toto Dreamland or Miglance Castle. Once you have him maxed out you don't have to care about light requirements really.
3. Pain is the name of the game. Pain grastas on damage dealers and grasta's to add damage to your main DPS with matching character attributes.
4. You get 5 free a month on whoever. Necoco is the best choice if you have her or Aldo otherwise.
5. Eva is bonkers ridiculous, Necoco is the singular best utility character, Yipha AS injects crack into your party.
>2 cont.
Forgot about red keys.
Toto's Theater World (NOT Dreamland) is the premier AD for L/S farming, since any free character can gain L/S from it, and at a higher rate than normal red key ADs.
Other than that, it's the same old "run ADs targetting 5* Tomes you need, or for Episode/Symphony rewards"
>5
Moonlight Flower Hismena is a top tier DPS who automatically changes her weapon type to match the rest of your party, letting her fit in any weapon zone.
Iphi is hilariously broken, giving your party a massive damage buff that also auto-revives them if they die and turns enemy AoE attacks into single target ones.
Red Clad Flamemancer is a top tier elemental support whose moves change to match the current elemental zone, letting him buff your party and debuff the enemy to nuke them.
Jet Tactician Shion swaps all enemies' Resists and Weaknesses, turning superbosses who resist everything into pushovers weak to everything.
Some other notable characters include Alma, Necoco AS, Claude ES, Eva, Flammelapis, Violet Lancer.
The current SDE is actually pretty outdated, since it's based on what JP's SDE was at the time instead of the normal EN SDE which has everyone available.
Red Clad Flam. is available on it, although if you already have Dewey you shouldn't SDE for RCF.
>6
Run the Timetwisted Maze at least until you unlock Noahxis and get his 10 Detonators (He'll start with like 5 or 6 iirc) - he's a better Tiramisu, with a fixed 500k AoE for 0 MP to clear trash mobs with.
Get May's 5*, she can solo the Cyrus battle simulator stage for "fast" exp for Manifest Weapons (still takes a few hours to max out manifest weapons, but can be autoclicked)
Chrono Cross characters are great, as are Mythos characters (Clarte, Curio, Sevyn's 5*)
Thanks for the advice fellas, I'll start cracking into some of those ADs you mentioned and see about working my way through some of the side stories for the characters. I caught up to the current patch content (Chronos Empire) as far as the main story is concerned but the mobs there, even on normal, were kicking my ass for some reason so I guess I'll detour into the side quests. Things used to be much simpler when you could Hismena and/or Tiramisu cheese your way through everything.
Tiramisu cheese has been replaced with Noahxis cheese, and Hismena cheese was replaced by basic attack replacers (Tsubame AS and Flammelapis) which have since been replaced by Violet Lancer's 100% MP discount turn 1+big nukers (like Flammelapis still)
There's also Tsukiha ES or Isuka ES to automatically set Pain/Poison on all enemies at the start of battle to enable P/P grasta without using any skills, Flammelapis does the same with Break to make the first hit on all enemies deal double damage, Iphi automatically puts your party in Lunatic Risktaker state for +70% damage and guaranteed crits, and there are probably other characters with start of battle passives I'm forgetting.
Is there a way to heal the damage from iphi?
Uquaji in the backline. If a fight is only going to last a single round, you shouldn't need Iphi. Use Falcon Grasta/Badges.
AS Otaha will heal the party's HP/MP at the end of the fight. Throw her in the back row and most characters will be back to 100% HP/MP after the fight ends.
If you're just farming ADs or something where everything dies in 1 turn, I don't even bother healing. You can't die from the self-damage, the damage happens before the attack meaning you won't benefit from max HP grasta, and taking the HP hit means by the time you reach any AD boss you'll be below 50% to activate last stand armor (assuming you fight all enemies in the dungeon for materials)
Cup Grasta heals 5% HP and MP which will let you stay below 50% but still have enough MP for all of the fights
or you can use Otoha AS whose heal is stronger and iirc you won't ever be below 50%.
He's probably stacking Enhance When Max HP.
Then he should just equip the Enhance When Low HP grasta.
plus the elpis armor, which has the same HP threshold for its' damage boost
which won't ever trigger with Iphi (unless maybe you put an HP shield on someone?)
and which also buffs damage less than Iphi does (unless you're stacking multiple Max HP grasta plus max HP gear)
Finally got enough Codices for Claude ES. One of his skills mentions "Flexible", and the wiki mentions
>Flexible: Changes attack type of any attack used to its stated type, including attack skills from equipment.
But isn't any attack's type the type that it already states?
So his Flexible defaults to Slash, but it can change depending on who he uses Empathy on. If he uses Empathy on Gariyu, his Flexible becomes Magic.
From then on, all of Claude ES's skills (both from the board and from equipment/grasta) will be Magic instead of Slash or anything else.
The Flame Crush Grasta gives a Fire Blunt x5 attack, which Claude would use as a Fire Slash x5 attack with Flexible (or Fire Magic if he had Empathy with Gariyu, etc.)
>The Flame Crush Grasta gives a Fire Blunt x5 attack, which Claude would use as a Fire Slash x5 attack with Flexible (or Fire Magic if he had Empathy with Gariyu, etc.)
I did not know this. That's actually insanely useful.
Slowly making my way through the new story. Aqua Fantasia is fricking LONG.
>had a literal dream I got shion a
wtf
I’m on my way to kill a train. If only I could just suplex it.
Is it possible to kill these cat horrors underneath the floorboards in this palace? I don't really want to kill the cats but I don't want to miss out on a "kill horror for the first time" chrono stones either
I remember really trying and being unable to.
No, the cats are not actual horrors. The point of them is to force you out of your shrunken state if they catch you.
How the hell do you kill the enemies on the Ghost Ship? They don’t even have life bars that I can see.
The lack of HP bars is just an environmental effect from the weather, they're not invincible.
Frick AD bosses who have stoppers
and double frick AD bosses who act immediately after their stopper
>this guy doesn't have a stopper, Thille was just conveniently hitting exactly 50% of his health
Huh. Well time to blast through part 3 so I can upgrade the Goujian Sword and get the Low HP Grasta, and grab ToovAlter so I can drop the Cup of Invincibility Grasta for another Pain.
Hopefully that will be enough extra damage to oneshot him.
You really shouldn't need that, especially with Iphi provided a safety net. Who are your other major DPSes?
I have, or can Chant, every character except Daisy, Alma, Minalca, and Ilulu.
I might be able to 1x18 with Flamme despite him resisting magic, but she's so overused already. Plus I used Thille to 1x18 Alma and Claude's AD so I wanted to try keeping her for Tsukiha's.
Minalca's already doing 4.5x the damage Thille did.
Without the Low HP Grasta on Violet, without the upgraded Goujian Sword (although Spinal might be better anyways?) and with using her 1* skill instead of her 5* board skill.
Disgusting.
This dude is a jobber anyways with 1 gotcha move
He also has 6.8M HP, the same as Underworld bosses, but with no weakness to exploit, as well as a resistance to magic
>resistance
*laughs in Jet Black Tactician*
>wasting either 2 extra actions on the boss, or 1 extra action on all 18 fights every single AD run
*laughs in not having to waste 20 minutes watching erronous animations while grinding for weapon upgrade+maze defense materials*
>weapon upgrade+maze defense materials*
Don't do either of those things, they're not worth it.
The 100 CS for fully upgrading all structures says otherwise.
100 stones for several weeks of grinding seems like a huge waste of effort.
Should I be playing this on emulator or the Steam client? I recall emulators having hit or miss performance but I've heard nothing but bad things about the Steam client so I'm not sure what to use.
Emulator. I've been using LDPlayer for years with no issues.
I was running Mumu but I entered Unigan and the game was running pretty badly. I swapped to LDplayer at your suggestion and Unigan still seems to run like shit. Is that just a problem area?
Area like Unigan and Elzion can run pretty badly if you have a lot of undone quests.
Oh, is that what causes it? I have like two dozen quests sitting undone due to laziness but I guess I'll work my way through them tonight.
phone scrub here, unigan runs like fricking shit even with lowered resolution through debugging consoles
Game's starting to run like shit in general. I have to wonder if it's like what MapleStory did and even if you did all the quests and shit, all the data is still loaded in the background and hogging memory.
It's honestly just specific areas. The new ones and a few old ones. Unigan was always ass because it has so many layers
I play on bluestacks with no issues. You're better off using an emulator since every day you get to watch 5 short advertisements. You get between 5-20 chrono stones or one red key or one green key per add watched. The Steam version however doesn't have the in-game ads so you end up losing out on those extra rewards.
I fricked up. I didn't realize how rare Silver Gears were and I maxed out two pieces of buddy equipment before getting the Pandora Can. And now I can't finish maxing it out because I got all of the silver gears in the overworld. All I can do is run the AD a million times to buy the rest of the gears I need from there.
Have you found the mist seller in the northwestern plains? I'm sure it wouldn't be enough but it might add up.
Yeah. I went on the JP wiki and found all of the overworld gears, all of the vendors, all the ones from the boat, and got all of the silver gears you can get, and I'm still 400 short. I'm gonna need to start buying them from the green key AD, but there's so many other things I'd rather spend the bolts on like the grasta. But I have a feeling that sidekick equip will be much better than any of the others, and I'll probably have it equipped every fight, so it's likely the best thing to invest in. Still, I wish I hadn't wasted so many silver gears upgrading equipment that I probably won't use. I just figured there would be enough gears to upgrade everything without a struggle.
Which of the Timetwisted weapons is generally considered the best? Moonshade only works during AF, right? Is it enough to outweigh 10% crit damage or 15% typed attack? Or is it just the worst one?
Moonshade is good for certain strategies utilizing the AF gauge (like one turning the Uquaji family with a Flash Zone) but by and large it's the worst in general. Then I forget the exact multiplier but I'm pretty sure that 10% critical damage bonus comes out to slightly more damage than 15% type damage.
Bummer about Moonshade, it looks pretty neat. Thank you for the insight
No problem. Again it just depends on how often you're AFing. If you're frequently using your AF gauge it's not bad. I threw some Moonshade weapons on two of my characters when I was fighting Picky because you get to AF so often during that fight.
I did pull Flamme AS so I AF every horror and boss fight, but I'm still at a point where I'm just completely murdering everything several times over even without the AF. The only thing that's made me think so far was the Extreme battle sim with the waves of Cyruses because all of my damage dealers are water and they kept resetting my Iphi zone, and then also the 3 turn weakness showed itself on the last wave, and yada yada
So I guess for where I am it doesn't really matter that much regardless, it just crossed my mind that I don't even really know how effective "enhanced combo rate is", but I have a staff on Flamme because I figure why not, she's always got AF anyway and has a combo move in her kit, but then I had a lingering thought in my mind of like "even with enhanced combo on a character with a combo move who always has AF, is the enhanced combo even any good?" because it's not really quantified what enhanced combo even means compared to like +10% crit damage
So the way the Combo gauge works in AF, it's the number on the top left. It multiples all damage done at that point in the AF by the current gauge amount. It starts at 75%, so all damage is multiplied by .75 (the so the first hit during an AF deals less damage than you would outside of the AF). If you get it to 200%, then the damage is doubled, 300% it's tripled, etc. Essentially each time you land hit during the AF, the gauge goes up by 2% per hit, per enemy. So for example, ES Suzette has 5 hits on her Hellhammer attack. If there are 4 enemies, that means when she uses Hellhammer, she lands 20 hits. This will increase the gauge by 40%.
Combo rate increase (whether from weapons like the Moonshade ones or from grasta ore) increases the AF Combo rate gauge 1% per hit per enemy during your AF. So instead of getting 2% per hit, you're now getting 3% per hit. So against 4 enemies, Suzette would be increasing the gauge by 60% when she uses Hellhammer.
There's other modifiers too. If you use a different skill from the previous one you gain 4% per hit instead of 2% (so "playing piano" with the buttons can get the gauge higher than just spamming one skill). There's also some unique cases like Thillelille AS's attack, where her self damage is treated as a second skill, increasing the gauge higher than normal, or with Hozuki where her Hundred Fire Revolt first deals an attack to a single enemy and then follows it up with an AoE to all enemies, and the Combo gauge treats it as two different skills, even though it's only a single button press so you get 4% when use that skill instead of just 2%.
So characters with large numbers of hits on their attacks are better for AF time, since you'll be able to get the gauge higher.
If you want to see more about the mechanics you check it out at the wiki.

So with Moonshade, Flamme's Pentálfa Unn would add 8,4,4,4,4, with an additional +1 per hit due to Moonshade? Or does the doubling happen after the +1? Either way that's a bit lackluster compared to what I thought it might be doing. I'm sure it's very valuable for fights where the % gauge would matter, but I'm not there yet. I'll probably keep the staff on her since I've not much else comparable, but thank you for revealing the mysteries of "enhanced combo"
It's added in after any multiplies, so with a Moonshade weapon, Flamme's Pentalfa Unn would be hitting for 9/5/5/5/5. For most characters who are hitting for 2%, they'd be hitting for 3%, so a Combo Rate bonus (from weapon or ore) represents a 50% increase to their AF Charge, which is a pretty significant increase. Again, there are some fights or strategies where you'll want to equip your whole party with Combo Rate boost weapons or grasta ore, but yeah, it's not something that you'll need to worry about as a general rule. When it's valuable though, it's valuable. Being able to one-turn the Uquaji clan is (at least was at their release) only possible with Combo Rate boost gear.
Moonshade is solid for compositions reliant on AF combo%, like Victor AS, Silver Striker, etc.
Spinal is in general the best OOPArt weapon.
Enduring is the worst. Due to diminishing returns, having any sort of Type Attack bonus greatly reduces Enduring's bonus. Unless you're sharing literally 0 Almighty Power or Power of Element Grasta with that character, the 15% will be closer to 1%.
EASIEST FRICKING CHANT SCRIPTS OF MY LIFE
time to get locked in Riftbreaker for a week waiting for a tome drop
I'm still new enough that like 75% of the characters would be new, and I got a dupe Black Clad Sw
In other news, my account is Hismena seeded. My literal first pull no rerolls, 1st of the 10, was Hismena Alter, and I have pulled both Hismena AS and Hismena NS now. There's so much of the cast that I'm missing, but I've pulled every Hismena
At least you're not like me, I got every Tsukiha easily except Alter who I had to get through three WG wins.
Just crunched 2150 badges from Toto's Theatre.
>Guiding Light Sword after 1140
>Chant Script after 1290
>Chant Script #2 after 1630
>Luring Shadow Hammer after 1870
>Guiding Light Staff after 1920
And I'm down from 2243 Toto Badges to a much more manageable 93.
They really need to fix the UI so you don't have to scroll down for a fricking minute to get to the PWR+/SPD Halved badges, and to lock badges you want to keep in a way that's not just equipping them to a character.
FIRE, terminate the motherfuking employee(s) who decided to greenlight bosses like Aspid and all the other "special bosses" who have these HP stoppers multiple moves, buffs, debuffs and attacks in their single turns. This ain't difficulty or ""strategy"" feels and looks ore like artificial difficulty bullshit to just pad out the game to also make it longer than it has to be. And to gaslight players into spending money to pull for certain or specific characters who have the capabilities of specific power types to remotely beat these recent bosses.
mmmm yes all these characters that require money just to beat Aspid
>Have to invest and spend even more time on immersion ruining "collabs" involving different IP characters who will have no impact in the story
You can call me cringe and unreasonable. But I refuse to spend and invest more of my gaming time to play those stupid fricking collabs that are just consoomer bait to entice people to buy those other IP games. Hear me out! I have already spend hours upon hours grinding away in dungeons to level up my already existing rosters, then grinding away in the dungeons for the materials for gear. AND THEN grinding away again and again in the worlds for more materials for gear and to try going up against the bonus bosses. And now I must grind and slave away in consoomer bait collabs to invest into more "free" characters just so I can progress the story alone? No thank you, I'm just gonna have to experiment with my current roster than having to slave away in more grinding for specific characters.
And yes again, I despise the collabs and absolutely do not care about the characters you get. Unless they are already leveled AND have their skills unlocked. I DO NOT CARE ABOUT THOSE COLLAB CHARACTERS LET ALONE THE I.P. THEY BELONG TO. CONSOOMER BAIT.
Will you just suicide already?
Nah bro. I actually have a live-in family and little siblings to care of and a job AND daily schedule that doesn't have my facing a screen and holding a game controller. Also, you know I'm at least not one-hundred percent wrong, right? Modern fricking games can't help but be unreasonably long or pad themselves out with ramped up (and artificial) difficulty for le challenge and monetized in-game advantages. You can't invest long time gaming hours grinding away to level up your characters and their abilities and gear unless you don't have a job, schedule or have exorbitant amounts free time. And you must be coming from a position where you do have plenty of free fricking time to grind away in AE's dungeons and world boss fighting.
But hey, maybe I'm just getting old and plenty of you are just coping with that fact by just going; "You're not playing the game and meta right! Play the collabs and get them free characters to help you!"
>doesn't have time to play the game
>when he does have time to play the game, he doesn't want to play the game
>doesn't want to roll gacha in a game that gives you free currency to roll with
>doesn't want to get some good free characters by playing a collab
I'm a different anon, but let's suppose that you're not "one-hundred percent wrong". Even if you're totally spot on with your capitalized over-dramatic "but totally have your life all the way together while posting on Ganker in a gacha general" rant, then why are you even playing this game if you don't want to play any of it?
If you're not using the free currency that you definitely are getting in order to pull on gacha characters, and if you're not doing any of the activities that give you free characters, and if you don't have time to do things like level characters to 80, then why are you even playing this game? Just buy Chrono Trigger on your phone
NTA, but holy shit the cope from you guys. Just admit stuff bosses like Aspid is hot fricking garbage, both you are practically defending bad game design that is indeed artificial difficulty. And fricking hell, I had Iphi and Eva in my team and which helped me out in that godawful boss fight yet only beat Aspid through pure luck and RNG. Indeed the Dev(s) or employees who did approve of shit like Aspid are either goddamn evil or JRPG devs live in a different fricking plain of existence that just compels them to design game elements that just don't respect your time.
>I had Iphi and Eva in my team and which helped me out in that godawful boss fight yet only beat Aspid through pure luck and RNG
Bro literally just use AS Azami, she takes it down in 4 turns with no RNG. How are you this bad at the game?
He's a successful man with lovely family and cureless paranoia, who has no time for game.
If a boss doesn't get slammed by his brainless S-tier gacha team, then that boss is an artificial difficulty (whatever that means), RNG (even though Aspid's moveset is fixed) garbage.
> I don't have time to get characters and level them
>yet somehow has time to cry and b***h and moan about the game on Ganker
Curious.
Holy shit what a homosexual. Nobody gives a frick about your life, we offer advice and if you don't take it then shut up and stop complaining. AE is a grind if you haven't figured it out by now, now get to grinding on those f2p collab characters, you have literally the rest of your life. If you want easier games with generic anime stolen plots there's always a generic jrpg with an easy mode.
kek, this is one of the guys who probably got filtered by beast king early game.
This guy does us a service honestly. I will always kneel
Isn't the most common strategy for Aspid just AS Asami + Curio + Slash Stance awaken?
Does who you bring into the timetwisted maze actually matter?
Yes.
Their character type has a huge impact on how well you fare, with ATK being the most important and MAG and DEF both being functionally worthless. 2 ATK+SUP+TEC, 3 ATK+SUP, and 3 ATK+TEC are the 3 best party compositions.
Or if you're referring to which specific character amongst the classes, they also matter but to a lesser extent.
Weapon types are important; your ATK characters shouldn't overlap with each other's attack types, so don't bring a Sword and an Axe ATK character for example, swap one of them to a Pierce or Bash weapon.
TEC is fine with any weapon, except Staff but I don't think there's a TEC Staff.
SUP is best as a Staff user, it's not as important as your ATK characters, but the extra damage might be relevant sometimes.
And Ruina AS and Elga both have 2-hit normal attacks. They might actually be optimal, since they should fill the AF bar twice as fast with their normal attacks and I don't think their damage is any lower than other characters, but I never went in depth in testing them because I'd rather use characters I like.
I just went through Timetwisted for my first time a couple weeks ago, and I took the advice I was given here to use a team of 1 SUP and 3 ATK, and my first run with that setup was the first run that I cleared it, pretty easily I might add, when compared to how my team was faring before when I was trying to use MAG and TEC
The ability that I have to carry over is [SUP] Critical Strike III + 5
I don't know if this is optimal, but it works. If you go the 3 ATK route, make sure that each one is a different weapon "type", slash/pierce/blunt
>The ability that I have to carry over is [SUP] Critical Strike III + 5
>I don't know if this is optimal
It is, the other popular ones are Vow III and the a big frick you ATC skill for your favorite DPS.
How easy the maze makes it to get new high class weapons pretty much undercuts every other weapon grind in the game, especially the new Plasma weapons, which just suck.
Is paid gems on Iphi banner the worst thing possible? I am out of gems and still dont have her.
It doesn't guarantee you Iphi, so I wouldn't do it.
If you posted this a month ago, you could have gotten the old SDE and picked Iphi there, but now we have the objectively worse JP 3.0 SDE which only goes up to Orleya so that isn't an option.
I'd just wait for the next SDE and pick Iphi from that, assuming she doesn't pop up offbanner in the meantime.
The old SDE was up to Tsukiha Alter.
Where do you get the upgraded versions of the Robot’s environment abilities (clearing rubble, diving, pipes)? Especially rubble as there is a spot for that in the AD. There is a whole ass town I cant access because the process is inscrutable.
From beating high tier bounties.
Do you know which one? Some of the bounties are at the town I cant get to unless I do bounties, apparently.
According to the wiki:
after defeating two bounties: A Class Kidnapper Religo (only is possible at Chp 92) and S Class bounty Disposer Glutton.
Oh cool the wiki got updated finally
Missing 1000 from upgrading the e-girlpopper and ~350 from the new Elvis Ring but Tsukiha's looking good.
Very impressive! Then double that with ES Claude.
It's actually just to pump up Minalca's stacks for T1 nukes.
Tsukiha autosets Pain, Iphi autosets Blood Contract, Otoha AS alongside Cup of Invincibility Grasta on everyone but Minalca keeps them healed to max HP or 1 point below, while also keeping Minalca's MP up high enough for an entire AD.
Then backrow Violet holds Glutton+Sword grasta, and the last slot goes to whomever needs their L/S farmed.
In all seriousness why not just have AS Tsubame/Flamelappis and encounter down to not just stroll through any AD with no encounter and one shot the boss?
Grinding mats for weapons
Plus Minalca's 6400% multiplier is a bit better than Flamme's 3000% and Tsubame's 1800% and I don't think either of them have a weapon as strong as Goujian Reforged.
I hadn't used Otoha AS before, so that's good to know.
I don't have Cynthia AS either, so thinking of replacements... Pizzica double damage is attractive, but bad against stoppers and requires her to go before Minalca. Thille AS and Miyu AS can both benefit from the auto Fire Break and Violet grasta slave. Flamme is tried and true.
Honestly, Flamme is still the best one. Her Neptune has a 3000% mod and she'll still get her break bonus (since Minalca will use her Fire break) so that's a 6000% mod. It's tough to beat that. You can throw the staff grastas on Iphi to support her, and she'll benefit from the Glutton grasta on Violet.
I run the same team, but I have Otoha in the back row (she heals the team regardless of where she is) and then I have AS Cynthia (she has a 50% health restore on win grasta) in the front row to use Vent Brilliant. Between her and Minalca I can one shot any Phase Shift trash mob pack on Expert difficulty and even many of them on Master difficulty. Except for the fricking tree because mob packs have too many different absorbs. Frick that one stage.
>dumped all of my excess shadow staff items into Iphi to get her to 80 so she can use 4 skills
>do the free 5* today
>get an Iphi dupe
>she's 96 shadow now
Well frick. I could have saved 16 shadow staff.
What device or machine do you game Another Eden on? Anyone here who actually plays this game on an actual full on gaming phone? As in Asus ROG Phone, RedMagic or BlackShark Phones? Or PC via emulator or Steam?
I play only on phone and why would you need a "gaming phone" it's not like ae needs it. My phone is pretty good though, s21 ultra but I've played ae on much older phones.
I use shitty iPhone because I'm cheap. Only place the game lags is the moonlit forest version of Toto, and only when I teleport to the NE statue for some reason.
Wasted 6k on her banner and never got her. Late, but finally gathered enough of those opus things.
Doing the La Vie en Rose minigame for the chant and holy frick these people need to stop talking.
>makes every ad a walking simulator with her best friend toova
>realize I've never checked out AE fanart
>check boorus
>less than 100 entries
is this game not popular?
there are some characters in this game who are prime fanart coombait material
every ad a walking simulator with her best friend toova
I Don't get it, whats the joke and or context?
There is no joke, it's reality
It's better this way honestly. I'll take a stable niche property over a cater to lowest denominator coomer gacha
I assume the context is toova alter makes her skills cost 0 so she can farm infinitely, while eva herself can either wipe mobs out with drago or single targets with zorch
When is a good time to finally activate my free trials of the subscriptions?
Should I wait until I unlock every single AD? Or does it not matter so much?
I think the subscriptions are best by subscribing on January 31 since you get 3 months(I don't know if they've closed this loophole). Doesn't really matter now as long as you're light/shadow farming with a character. I guess technically it's better the longer you hold it since more tomes get released into the pool.
>wait until January 31st of 2025 to use the free subscriptions
I wish I would have known about this back when I started my account, I could have probably just been able to do this. As it stand now, I'll probably just turn them on this weekend or something
>extorts a child for his lunch money
>sides with the kidnappers anyways
>refuses to elaborate
>pulls the "I was a good guy all along card", defeats the kidnappers, saves the kid, and returns to the status quo
>then kidnaps the kid herself afterwards
>spends all his money on food, then does nothing as the kid works to pay off her debt
>goes back to the status quo again, but tells the kid he's an idiot and that she doesn't want to see him again
Pointless CQs, but at least they're at least minutely interesting compared to 90% of CQs which are both pointless and completely formulaic where everybody's a goody two shoes.
She's just 2B with dumb hair, don't overthink it.
