I have only played like 3 hours of XIV's free trial, not my cup of tea. Could never get into MMO's sadly.

I don't see how any of that is relevant to 15's cut content pipeline. X got a sequel and those stories are pretty self contained. 15 was, and still is really unfinished so the fact it had its DLC's cancelled is kind of just salt in the wound. Literally all games have cut content, but its especially bad for 15 because it was never finished in the first place.
