It was legit the only halfway decent blizzard game to release in the last 20 years. At least at launch i dont know if they have fricked up the balance since i only played it for a while after it first came out. I do know there were a couple hilarious beta builds they were doing where they totally broke the fricking game with some builds like a paladin that would one shot everything on the screen just by it appearing. It never made it to full release that i know of though.

After Diablo 2, literally nobody that made Diablo in the first place was working on it anymore. Diablo 3 can't even be called a fan game, because the people doing it not only were not fans but trashed the series' creator. D4 is not much different, they took 1 step in the right direction, and 5 in the wrong one again.
