Any good guide on emulating Sega CD stuff?
Emulation wiki for the Sega CD page is vandalized and recommends Kega which is known to be terrible for Sega CD

I use Genesis Plus GX on the Wii. Works pretty well, although on occasion it crashes. It originated on the Wii (based off some other emulator maybe?), but Retroarch includes it now.

    Genesis Plus GX
Remember to get the bios files. Takes one search
If using cue/bin, load the cue file.
Otherwise use CHD files if you find them

    Your welcome, frick off.

No I mean it feels wrong.

Oh that I'll agree with, I've never played emulation of anything other than a game boy that felt as good as the real thing.

I use the Genesis Plus GX core in Retroarch.
BIOS files go in System folder inside RA.
Download games in bin/cue, run the cue files.
Not necessary, but download CHDMAN to convert cue/bin files into a single chd file. It compresses the size down very nicely.

don't even give c**ts like this any attention.

        >Best Sonic
Sonic CD is so painfully underrated. A very unique game, where the challenge weren't the badniks or Robotnik, but the way the levels were set up. It was very different from all the Sonic Genesis games.

Kega Fusion worked fine for me. I even used original Sega CD games which I played from my PC's disk drive.

I use kega too on win 10 and it works just fine for me. Only ran into issues because some rims didn't work and I had to find the right ones

I know the idea of spending even a single dollar is beyond the pale for most of /vr/ but a Mega Everdrive Pro is well worth the investment

Kega Fusion works fine and it's still the best emulator for 32X. Pigays who can't run a windows program cope by using the shitty Picodrive core.
Otherwise use Genplus GX for Retroarch, there is no standalone version for PC (except some unofficial and outdated garbage).

It works fine here on my win7-machine.

I played through both Lunar games and Popful Mail recently using the Genesis Plus GX core in RetroArch without issue. I guess that's what I'd recommend.
