>Why?
In short, it just has less content (enemies, difficulties, weapons) compared to Black (at least without Hurricane packs) >Is the game hard?
Not really, but personally I feel like the enemies are slightly spongier and more aggressive. Fighting zombies can be a slog because you cant perform UT/ET without absorbing essence.
Only if you want to do the hurricane pack content (different hard mode with added moves such as intercept technique which never appeared in future release because it was OP), new game+ and different costumes. You need a modded original Xbox for this since you can't redownload them and if you put the original NG 2004 in an Xbone it downloads Black for you.
nope, NG is better for the merefact you play as one person throughout, no shitter nero or criss angel gaygtory to frick up the flow( Sigisma versions don't count) and most DMC bosses are trash.
>forced to experience bad content = more variety
pardon the trite food/coprophilia analogy but there’s really no better comparison than someone pissing and shitting in your soup to add ingredients
>NG is better for the merefact you play as one person throughout
That's why 1 and 3 are the best one >most DMC bosses are trash
Only some of them, and on average they shit on whatever NG wanted to do with its "bosses"
>on average
Learn to read. Also >what is Gigadeath >what is Dagra Dai >what is Zedonious >what are the tanks and the helicopter

>on average
On average the bad NG bosses take less time to kill them compared to the bad bosses from DMC games, therefore they're better. >only 1.5 bosses from NG04/B
Thanks for proving my point. Still better than the DMC counterparts.

That NGB has more bad bosses than DMC1?

Except it doesnt. And the best boss in DMC1 gets blown out by Doppelganger fights.

DMC1: Mundus 1. NGB: Tanks, Helicopter, arguably the first phase of the final boss. Do the math. >gets blown out by Doppelganger fights
I too love input reading enemies that can be looped to death at the start of the fight.

Murai has only one phase, poser. >I too love input reading enemies that can be looped to death at the start of the fight.
Takes more IQ to figure out the loop than any DMC ''puzzle''.
>Its in Sigma 1 in the Master Collection. The problem seems to be, its simply sloppy leftover coding whwre just the asset remains, but has no functions that hook unto any game code. People have modded it into the inventory screen, but there is nothing that occurs as a result of this unfortunately.
Huh. I wonder if people could reverse engineer the HP1 and implement the Intercept code into the Sigma PC version.
I finally beat that RNG test Alma and now I'm immediately getting my ass handed to me by those deflecting soldier guys. If I'm dying like 50+ times each chapter should I just fricking give up? This is insane.
Its way cheaper if you want to play on a original disc, but other than the DLC pack that needs a hacked Xbox, Black was always considered the superior version.
It was a minstraslation. The code for NGB and NGII still exists but they claim it's "scattered", so it's difficult to put back together, which is worse than having it lost since they basically admitted they are too lazy to give a frick.
Only really as a relic of the times and if you can get the Hurricane pack somehow to try Intercept which breaks open the game, and I guess NG+, the different classic NG and a costume that never came over. Instead you're better off playing Sigma.
Reset camera often
Expect enemies off screen and learn to deal with them
Block a lot
Anyway don't try to wrestle with camera and expect to see all enemies around you at all times
The remaster collection is the best method to get into the series by a mile (particularly on PC to mod the only thing oddly missing from Sigma which is some voice lines), if you're looking for more after that then consider finding a way to play NG2.
Coming from Nioh and putting 2 hours into Ninja Gaiden Sigma I had a lot of fun and I felt like a lot of my instincts transferred over, like expecting ambushes behind every wall, blocking when overwhelmed for that 100% dmg reduction, using dodging for positioning and not just instant i-frames etc.
It's also fun to see how clearly the games are made by the same devs, even the level design feels so familiar.
Too bad that just like Nioh, it wore out one of my shoulder buttons, so now I'm waiting on a replacement. Can't wait to play again
I think there is this weird DLC where you can deflect projectiles or defend against attacks and when you counter you do insane damage. This was rightfully removed from Black because it was overpowered and dumb. Outside of that I think there might be only one other very minor thing it has that Black doesn't but outside of that no Black is absolutely the superior game.
no
I can think of one very obvious reason
no reason to play either
Play both, of course
Yes. Black casualized the game.
explain how
Im playing through it currently. Wouldnt say its worth it unless you have too much time on your hands.
04 has less save statues.
Why? Is the game hard?

NG+, an exclusive skin (I think), getting to use the Dark Dragon Blade in normal mode, and the DLCs have some exclusives mechanics IIRC
Black is peak NG.
Smegma shitters need not apply.
Sigma is a fine game btw

I guess for the intercept skill in one of the hurricane packs.
Nah, no reason to play it unless you are HUGE nggay
No
Not really. The only key difference in the gameplay is ET/UT can only be charged with karma and not just being held.
If you could get access to the Hurricane Pack DLCs, then it's worth playing vanilla NG just to mess around with the amazing Intercept system.
any reason to play DMC over this?
More control over the enemy position and your position, aerial combat, bosses that on average don't suck ass.
nope, NG is better for the merefact you play as one person throughout, no shitter nero or criss angel gaygtory to frick up the flow( Sigisma versions don't count) and most DMC bosses are trash.

Hurricane Pack 1/Intercept and that is literally it.
Black is Hurricane Pack 2 repackaged with trials.

how? just keep playing
Nah, you'll get used to it, just jump, roll jump and wallrun as much as you can
Its way cheaper if you want to play on a original disc, but other than the DLC pack that needs a hacked Xbox, Black was always considered the superior version.
The Han's Bar arcade machine plays the NES trilogy instead of the 1988 arcade game
i heard that the devs lost the source code to the original xbox version of ninja gaiden when remaking it for the newer consoles.
It was a minstraslation. The code for NGB and NGII still exists but they claim it's "scattered", so it's difficult to put back together, which is worse than having it lost since they basically admitted they are too lazy to give a frick.

Whoever decided to port the Vita Sigma editions to PC deserves to be shit.
what are you babbling about?
The sigma games from Master Collection are ported from PS Vita.
They aren't. They're a cross between the original and the Vita versions, which ultimately just means additional content and modes.
Then why the frick does NGS have so many load zones
Because those load zones were in the PS3 original. Trust me, it was a shit port all around.
Damn, that just sucks. It's a shame they'll never do the original games justice. The new Xbox is the only way to get the upgraded experience.
>has vitas ui
>has vitas extra loading screens
>has vitas items
>Vita's Sigma 2 has Gore
>Collection's doesn't
It's like they made it terrible on purpose.
so, what's the best way to play Ninja Gaiden 1?
I tried liking these games but the camera is just absolute dogshit. Makes me wanna throw up
Reset camera often
Expect enemies off screen and learn to deal with them
Block a lot
Anyway don't try to wrestle with camera and expect to see all enemies around you at all times
qrd on original Xbox versions, Sigma versions on PS3, and the latest PS4 remaster?
