I can't get the images of the people I've come to care so much for over the course of the years floating dead and instantly rotting away out of my mind. Pucci's defeat is pure poetic kino and couldn't have happened without it but holy frick man I cared about these people and they just fricking rotted right in front of my eyes and no amount of "here's them again happy in another universe!" is going to make me forget that.
I think the beginning is hit and miss, and the middle is hot garbage.
But the ending is such peak jojo it makes up for it. But if someone isn't as impressed with the ending, I can see why they would dislike the whole part..

Pucci killed himself by forcing his brother's disc into Emporio's head with that punch. Emporio was only a vessel for what occurred.
I like to think that Emporio's conscious and Weather Report's stand were both in control and cooperating. Emporio's face implies that the stand's personality was active, but Emporio is the genius that came up with the oxygen strat, which weather report could have done so at any time but never did, implying that it was emporio's idea?
I mean, it was Emporio and Weather tag teaming, both of which sort of had the biggest personal beef so it was pretty fitting.
Dio had to entrust his will to Pucci to kill the Joestars.
The Joestars had to entrust their will to Emporio to defeat Pucci and restore order.
They didn't entrust shit to him.
They fought for their lives and to then end, then got off'd like dogs and the other sidekicks saved Emporio.
Very non-descript answers most people would give off something they don't have a real opinion on. Any examples? I find 6 to be one of the most memorable parts. Meanwhile almost every other part has entire arcs I forget.

The latest part is pure shit and Araki has fallen off. Jojo's bizarre adventure wouldn't be remembered here if it wasn't for part 2 of the anime and Joseph's American Nazi vampire Indiana Jones Bruce Lee adventure.
All I wanted was more part 2 with an international explorer and treasure hunter with crazy abilities like a dragon ball adventure with cultural magic.
Instead Araki has only doubled down on making each subsequent Jojo a weaker and weaker twink with niche abilities that they need to use galaxy brain mental gymnastics to solve problems.
We went from Conan London gentleman, to Indiana Jones, then 2 Japanese delinquents, then an Italian homosexual who gets gang banged every night, then to a literal woman, then to a fricking CRIPPLE gay, then a lady boy wearing fetish gear, now at a literal troony in high school who shoots cops and lives in a dump.

People hyped part 3 so much so I expected something even better than part 2 but what I got instead was something way way worse. Filler episode after filler episode.

the anime adaptation of 3 is overly long but ive come to appreciate part 3 more. a lot of it is still bad but i can handwave it as growing pains, in a lot of ways its what part 1 was to part 2. jotaro was maybe a little too stoic and competent, to the point of unrelatability. his cracks are too few and far between when everyone around him is a ray of sunshine relatively speaking
it's actually better to read the manga once you reach part 3
a couple of fights end in like 4 chapters and the anime puts them in just one episode
then some of them are 5-6 chapters and suddenly they're 2 parters.

That was kind of the point. The ridiculous accelerating stand powers line up with the crazy accelerating ending because Araki wanted to be done with it / reset the story.

Part 8 is uncharacteristically bad. Very early on Josuke has a vision of a character that presumably will be of importance but Araki changed his mind and never shows this character again, leaving that moment to stick out like a sore thumb. The Yoshigake Kira twist is a cheap, short shelf-life twist that is ultimately meaningless. The mystery central to the manga unravels arbitrarily and too early, leaving the narrative left with just a dispute over fruit.

Part 6 starts off strong and has an even stronger ending, but the middle section is pretty weak.
Part 4 is great, but takes too long to get to the good part. It's the anime/manga equivalent of "It gets good 30 hours in".
The good parts of Part 3 off-set the really boring parts.
I don't get the hate for Part 5, I think it was pretty good all the way.
I think Part 1 does a weak job at introducing the audience to JoJo and is only appreciated in hindsight. Most people (myself included) drop it at the half-way point and only pick it up again when they're told that's it worth powering through to get to the rest of the series.

They don't do the bump combat any more, anon, if that helps. Origins and Oath In Felghana are the ones most people advise to resume with, Origins being the prequel to what you played, Oath being the better version of 3.

While I like the first 2-3 episodes of part 1, it doesn't really exemplify the series that well. The episodes following zepelli's intro is just standard cliche shonen shit. The part was just really bad fist of the north star until the ending, which was pure jojo kino, araki caught his stride by episode 8.

Themelets don't understand how perfect JoJolion's ending is. For me I thought part 8 was kind of mediocre until the ending salvaged it.
It's literally the infinite rotation from Tusk Act 4 warping reality to finally destroy the Higashikata Curse while the curse warped reality, literally causing a person to exist who has a stand that embodies the curse, to try to save itself from the spin.
It's literally "truly, truly been a long, roundabout path", it's fricking perfect kino.
Some of the fights were kind of lame and I really disliked how many of the early plot points were dropped, but that ending and the entire Wonder of U arc was fricking perfect.
Except the infinite rotation go beyond barely did shit. the rock disease was defeated by fruit, and the villain was defeated by playing cards, that magically bypassed Wonder of U. Soemthing something Yasuho was twerking to the golden rotation in the background while the playing cards were being thrown though so it's okay and makes thematic sense.

1 is kino even though it gets consistently rated the lowest. Its phenomenal, but ultimately Jonathan had to walk so his descendants could run. Same thing for the series itself
Because Araki was just mixing bishonen love drama with poorly executed Fist of the north star for most of part 1. he was finding his footing.
Just like how Part 3 he was finding his footing with the newly introduced stands so most of part 3 is "lol my stand punch your stand!" and most stands weren't clever, they were just "fire power' "sword power" "angry doll" "ice power" "sand power" Then stands got creative and fun with part 4
it feels like it didn't know what it wanted to be tone wise and it mixed drama, comedy and outright silliness pretty suboptimally, the pacing is also kind of wack while the fights themselves being more on the meh side. It's not terrible but you can see that araki didn't know what guns he should stick to
Jonathan, Joseph and Jolyne all outperform Jotaro as a protag. The long on long journies in parts like 3/5/7 is appealing to people because it gives an easy sense of feeling "epic" whereas the other stories feel very self-contained and part 1 just by virtue of being the first is going to be limited compared to what comes after but it's a fricking awesome story and I don't think anyone actively hates it as much as they may just find it boring and quaint. Keep in mind this bored is full of contrarian zoomers.
1-5 all have their strengths and I would consider good but 5 was the point it went from "all main characters dress eccentrically" to "everyone with a speaking role looks like a high fashion prostitute"
