Sadly this one blows, as far as I can tell there's on unique cut and thrust sword in the game and no big hats of any kind. You spend the game wearing giant blizzard tier pauldrons and can't even edit your character's look.

I would have said that about any game someone claims is a bad game when that person doesn't even like those types of game to begin with. If I'm wrong please feel free to offer something constructive and recommend and ARPG you do like. Otherwise I rest my case.

Sure, I have enjoyed D2 & D3, titan quest, torchlight 1, last epoch, slormancer, ghostlore, and have played many others of varying levels of quality and enjoyment.
yeah iv played grim yawn, its fricking awful, its titan quest but worse in every single way. Which is very ironic.

sounds like the person hung up about grim dawn is you, its is widely recognized to be a worse version of titan quest and thats in general the consensus amongst people.
how many hours in titan quest do you have? and in other arpgs? what others have u played? because I don't think someone would subject themselves to grim yawn unless they literally had played every other better arpg so much that it seemed appealing or just didn't know about any other options.
The grim yawn supporters seem to have only heard of diablo, poe, titan quest, grim yawn, and never tried out anything else so they can stuck on grim yawn as its their only option left.

the issue is that there are more arpgs that you just don't know about that are far better than it that you can play and suggest rather than suggesting bottom of the barrel stuff so feverently or defending it, its okay to say its shit

not him but grim dawn is the definition of ARPG slop. I am pretty sure people just play it to completely turn their brains off and relax, which isn't essentially a bad thing but the fact remains that it is one of the lower tier ARPGs.

yea I guess. Nioh is pretty amazing though. too bad that every game the devs made after pretty much suck. speaking of ARPGs, I had some expectations for pic related ARPG but they got squashed pretty hard when I learnt it was going to be an early access with open world, crafting and survival mechanics.
There are plenty of the exact hat witch hunter/pilgrim style hats in the game and you can edit your look easily by talking to a certain npc in town. Your options to change your look are based on any item you have picked up in your inventory. You do not need to be the appropriate level or even class to change your look to these styles. You only need to have picked up the item in your inventory and the skin is unlocked. There are also plenty of shoulder pads to choose from that aren't giant Warcraft shoulder pads. You could even choose to modify your look so you are not wearing any shoulder pads at all.

I like them. I wish they had a more gothic setting instead of him be in Africa in most of the stories. tbut hat one with the ebony villainess and flying creatures are great. interesting for an Irish catholic to write about a dour protestant.
I think they are better. I'm very Byronic so I personally identify with Solomon Kain a lot more than Conan. inbefore identifying with characters is childish.
First game of Van Helsing duabloids trilogy. Specifically first standalone game, not 2, not 3 and not Final Cut. Some moron made absolutely moronic decision, that, beginning from 2, instead of customizable Vampire Hunter class with swords and rifles there should be "classical" tank/rogue/caster/ranged/summoner etc.
