I would agree with the point he's making in a different context. The responses on here really weren't that bad, most were amusing and tried being as nice as you could be to a song like that. I will say his point rings more true when looking at the reddit thread of the screencap where most of the responses are legitimately spiteful and entirely mocking. I can only imagine how someone would feel if this was their legitimate attempt at making music. Would be extremely discouraging, guess that's why irony is more common in reddit and other normalgay spaces than on here.

I am being entirely genuine when I say that I liked your tracks. I feel similarly after making a joke video except I uploaded it to somewhere I couldn't delete, then I saw it two months later on twitter meme accounts. Posting it in a thread and having a quarter of the thread dedicated to people responding/reacting to my video was hilarious, but seeing it on twitter and seeing people react to it made me feel nothing. I'm talking about what happens when you make a whole spectacle out of ridiculing people's sincere works in front of an audience of impressionable zoomers. They don't have the full context or experience; they see someone with a lack of awareness create something embarrassing and promptly get torn to shreds online over it, and that lack of self-awareness is what they learn to fear. I feel similarly after making a joke video except I uploaded it to somewhere I couldn't delete, then I saw it two months later on twitter meme accounts. Posting it in a thread and having a quarter of the thread dedicated to people responding/reacting to my video was hilarious, but seeing it on twitter and seeing people react to it made me feel nothing. The closest reaction I got to it was the thought that someone was posting it to chase ad revenue and made me feel stupid for enabling someone to do such a thing.
