I am not a blizzcuck since i hate every one of their games past warcraft 3 but…I want Diablo 4 to be good so fricking badly bros. The Diablo 2/POE formula is so kino but those 2 games have loads of issues preventing them from being anything but amazing
Diablo 4 seems like its going back to 2s routes with gothic kino and fun character builds that dont become the autism of POE. Taking the formula and making it so you can explore everywhere is also kino as every playthrough of a new build can be new and refreshing to level. The devs are also supporting the endgame for once every 3 months
I would do anything to make this game kino and to perfect the genres formula, including sacrificing every game this year to be shit

I was in the closed beta and they really did put more power in skill trees, paragon, and item affixes over legendary bonuses, they capped paragon by tying it to levels 50-100 now, and they gave some more build freedom with the new paragon system. They unironically did fix a lot of the problems with D3.

You can reach max level but I didn't in the beta, so I don't know if paragon continues beyond that. There's only 8 paragon boards you can select for your class so even if you did, you'd run out of nodes to fill eventually. I also don't know if the glyphs you put in your paragon board cap.
Glyphs work kind of like israeliteels that interact with surrounding nodes on the skill tree in PoE, but you level them like legendary gems from D3. The main difference in leveling them is that Glyphs get fixed experience based on the level of the nightmare dungeon you complete instead of being RNG upgrades like legendary gems.

No more para points when you hit Lv100. I used starting board + 3.5 more at that point

none of them, i picked the last board for +%elite dmg. only had a few point left and already had cold and fire boards (playing sorc)
i tried another board for its legend node but that kinda messed up something in my build, so i changed it

I think I'm one of the few people that didn't mind 3. I liked the idea of the infinite grind and levelling up with paragon levels although I'll admit I would get bored after 60 hours of it or so. If they could somehow make that less repetitive them it may have potential BUT I'm already hearing shit about battle passes so it's gonna be a hard pass from me
3 is one of those games that if you're looking for a completely mindless grind its perfect, just gets too repetitive like you said though
I hope so for my fiancé, she's really looking forward to it and is ready to drop $100 to play the beta.

Everything about 3 was shit except for the gameplay. If you mean everything else, not really. The gothic feel, the open world, the lack of annoying characters following you around and chatting, the exploration, better itemization, build variety etc etc

Everything else is true, but build variety didn't really thrill me in the beta. Builds were very obvious and intended, IE meteor sorc stacks burns and only burns, blood necro stacks health and fortification, and I'm sure the other classes I didn't touch have similar shit going on. There's really wasn't room for mixing skills that don't play with the same keywords unless it's a defensive or movement thing.

played it, I don't get what the hype is about. Combat is typical of the genre and I don't remember a single thing about the world other than it felt like standard fantasy with some different eras for variety.
Graphics, animations, sound are all low tier for 2022. Still in early access, still no multiplayer as well
Because I already own it and it's taking forever to actually be finished. It is the exactly where I want an ARPG to be on the scale of simplicity vs complexity, and I like the endgame loop being more focused on target farming and easy crafting compared to PoE's economy based approach and D3's infinite grind, but the game has to actually have a release window in sight to be worth mentioning next to D4 and PoE2 coming out next year.
It will be the same as this without any effort, sorry but you just want to keep eating blizz's fluked poop.
