never played, only coom to BLACKED yelan
Blacked yelan?
he's a microdicked cuckold wannabe and jerk offs to depictions of a voluptuous Genshin, Yelan, having sex with african men, because only in fiction can his fantasy be satisfied given that non-african women don't find african men attractive, and he will never have a girlfriend nor lose his virginity in the first place so he will never be a true cuckold irl.
Man Genshin girls are so mid. They look like skinny Japanese men wearing anime masks
Shenhe is here!
I kinda got overwhelmed with all the character story quests and all the scenes being unskippable and not understanding which ones were necessary for progress. My quest list ever since Inazuma has been a fricking mess and its felt like a total slog trying to clear it.
what are you in a hurry for
archon quests are the main story character quests are plot-relevant character stories. that's about it.
every character in genshin is continually receiving more depth over time. every character has a continuing story. every single one
i got frustrated with it, then stopped playing as much, which prevents the problem of getting burned out and bored.
you only have you self to blame if you burn out on a casual game like this, its supposed to be a side game for some fun in events or when you want, not souls or witcher or kenshi or any number of competitive multiplayer that you sink hours into almost like a job.
don't overthink it, best advice i can give
Archon quests are the main quests. If you just follow through them each time they update the game, then any and all future content becomes accessible to you moving forward.
Character Story Quests/Hangouts are there for you to enjoy at your leisure.
Am I just autistic then? Cuz every other quest on my list I'm not allowed to progress in because there's some other character story I need to do beforehand which means I need to do more dailies just to be able to take care of that. It feels like I'm in some convoluted web of secondary and tertiary stuff I need to do just to progress in the stuff I actually care about.
Which main quests are getting blocked? Most of the time, it's exploring/unlocking an area that would normally be blocking you, not the individual character Story Quests.
There's also the issue if you started certain World Quests and you might get barred in an Archon Quest due to an npc being tied up in the middle of a World Quest that you're currently doing.
Also forgot, but the same deal applies if you unlocked or started Story Quests, some NPCs will block you from engaging the main Archon Quests because you unlocked the Story Quest that involves specific NPCs.
So avoid unlocking Story Quests until you have free time for them.
I'm not sure since last i played 3.0 just came out and I did Ei's 2nd character quest thinking it was required. I accidentally stumbled into those Liyue mines and left immediately after since I haven't been super in touch with stuff. I went on a character quest unlock spree, thinking I could just get to them whenever I wanted without anything interconnecting.
Storywise I unlocked the interlude rebuilding the Jade Chamber but it seems really out-of-nowhere for this to be relevant to Inazuma or Sumeru so I left it alone. I really wish I had an option to really skip through dialogue, it sucks I'm burning out just because I'm forced to turn on the slow-ass auto-skip and find something to do on the side when the dialogue is from a literal who NPC/someone I don't care about.
Unless you're in very early game or at the middle of Inazuma Act 1 that shouldn't be happening. More often than not the Story Quests are getting blocked by the Archon Quests than the other way around.
Yes
The clusterfrick of a character roster is continually watering down what focus it had. Maybe that's a weakness of gacha but I'd rather have a game which focuses on 8-10 characters, takes the time to give them some depth across a prolonged time period.
Instead every few weeks we have a new character and some boring fetch quest for them. It feels more like a second job than chilling and having fun
Same
Too many shitty useless filler characters

i don't play miHoYo dykefest games. idk how they haven't been targeted by Xi yet.
We need more cuteboys
Was it ever anything but the BotW experience for people who didnt care or disliked nintendo?
>them toe rings
genshin would be amazing if it were a single player without the need to spend $50,000 dollars to unlock everything.
Sex with Scaramouche's mom.
Only thing im frustrated with in regards to genshin is the sheer amount of content.
There is ALWAYS something to do.
I think I wont have more than a week or two a month off from the game even when I try to play every day.
This is mostly due to the new sumeru region so maybe it will cool off but before that were the summer isles and previous to that was chasm, before that enkanomiya.
>There is ALWAYS something to do.
are you including farming in this??
There's a set of side quests in the update before this one that are longer than some nu-games, no farming
before I took a half year break I was literally out of things to do aside from the daily grind. I think you might just play the game a bit slow, and honestly more power to you. You seem to be getting a lot more out of it then I was
I wasn't the guy complaining about there being too much to do, but they really did add a lot of actual content to the game with Sumeru
I should come back, but I'm so sick of artefact grinding
same, I dont know how the frick people say they run out of content, I barely can keep up with the events and the main quests from the new
I play other games too and I care a lot about the story so I can't just skip it, and it takes me 2-3 hours to complete any quest due to my crippling adhd so I can't rush it in 1 day unless I have the right mindset
literally me. you never know what specific line of dialogue will reference deep lore.
No.

guys, its not actually canon that collei was raped/sexually abused, right?
Ive been shook by it for personal reasons...
She is so cute and my fav 4 star (up there for overall tho)
It's the typical shitposting anon.
The game is very mild and the bandits/enemies we defeat aren't even considered killed normally. I think one of the first actually acknowledged deaths was the treasure hoarder at the inversed statue, that's how little death and other "bad" things there are in the game. There are a lot of things that can be inferred from dialogue/texts though.
Overall Mihoyo seems to make games that try to point out the positive things in life, which I much appreciate, many devs and other creatives just abuse shockvalue to make their storytelling life easy.
You'd have to be an idiot to not notice all the human enemies drop smoke bombs or literally teleport instead of "dying". But also did you notice "boars" don't even "die"?
she was obviously raped. they just can't write it explicitly in a game rated E for everyone. no one recoils while screaming not to touch them because of a skin condition.
Gosh i wish i could be Shenhe or Yelan...
I wish Yelan was my wife
I'm Yelan.
I love her
Shenhe doesn't look like that
does Yelan though?
Dragonspine is the worst area and I'm tired of pretending it's not.
I heavily disagree and think Dragonspine, Enkanomiya, and whatever extra area isn't part of the main exploration areas of Sumeru releases will be better. Not too big of a fan of the Chasm though.
The Enkanomiya map event is how exploration should be. Comfy exploration and once you are nearly done the last few things are pointed out, no pressure to look at a map ever if you are attentive when exploring thanks to it. I'm surprised they did not use that concept again.
Already sort of exists due to treasure compasses, but treasure compasses are bad and one of the worse bandaid fixes they've done to exploration.
>the last few things are pointed out
The kid ghosts aren't pointed out to you and they're scattered around random broken down buildings. The dialogue even implies the guy can never see them again and you've probably already finished exploring all of Enkanomiya by the time you actually get him everything he needs to disappear. I know I was. I only found out the kids existed because of an achievement tied to them.
>enkanomiya map
>literally 0 rewards for exploring
>no sigils, no foci
Yeah this makes it one of the WORST inazuma areas because I cannot stress this enough, it is an inazuma area.
>>no sigils, no foci
thank fricking god
I meant the event, not the permanent map.
>Dragonspine is the worst area and I'm tired of pretending it's not.
100 percent agree. One of the biggest enjoyment factors of the game is exploration, then there's this entire area where the gimmick is a mechanic that punishes you for exploring.
>He didn't have Qiqi
Point at him.
Point at him and laugh.
You can literally just cook some goulash too. It was one of my favorite regions and I did it with barbara and diona.
People really had trouble dealing with sheer cold? mlao
There's a heat source like every 5m of walking. Dragonspine is pure kino and Genshin will never have an area as good as it was, maaaybe Snezhnaya if it has similar atmosphere and level design.
Chasm and Sumeru are infinitely better. Dragonspine is ass.
chasm exists
Chasm is the best area in the game

no, playing since beta and took break two times, but returned in the end and having a blast - there simply is no other better game
i dont play predatory slot machines
ROSARIA REDEEMED!
also, what would be a party if i wanted to play canonically evil/murderhobo party?
Rosaria - murderer, bandit, church assassin
Yelan -ruthless assassin able to commit any crime for Ningguan
Yae Miko - evil fox
Shenhe - emotionless murder muchine
thats about it. Childe is too carefree, Beidou is not real pirate, and Keya didnt do enougth shit to call villain
Collei has a higher civillian body count than most other characters
killing Amber doesnt count as crime
Amber wasn't a civillian
I'm getting bored of the censored outfits in cutscenes in genshin. It's fricking annoying man.
>censored outfits in cutscenes in genshin
wait, what?
some of the characters' designs got censored and now they always appear with those censored designs in cutscenes.
So out of the cutscene they are uncensored? That sounds strange.
How was Mona censored?
They gave her cute little shorts and deliciously kissable ZR thighs instead of stockings
She's objectively just as sexy as she ever was but for different reasons
>They gave her cute little shorts and deliciously kissable ZR thighs instead of stockings
Any pics? Her original outfit was my favorite in the game.
It mostly offends me because I'm a huge pantyhosgay.
That is definitely worse.
>It mostly offends me because I'm a huge pantyhosgay.
Fricking this.
They also slightly altered the overall colour scheme of Jean and Mona.
jokes on them
I hate pantyhose
but hotpants make me hard as a rock
Genshin started out as the "panyhose fetish" game dude
That and tights. Just look at all the 1.0 characters.
That's what got me in the game initially.
most of the release outfits had to be modified because the ccp censors thought they were too lewd. thong lisa is gone but not forgotten.
Thong lisa was beta you secondary.
what did you think i meant by release outfits?
1.0 official release date
i meant the outfits at release were the modified ones.
Oh I'm sorry I thought you meant most of the release ones had to be modified, which is also true. Sorry.
Mona makes me hard as a rock in general.
out of cutscenes you can still use their original designs except if you're on the china server because china is apparantly a completely cucked country lmao.
imo rosaria got hit the worst. they got rid of her fishnets. they've been bullying rosaria since the game was made.
What he said. Mona is the most obvious example.
Sumeru is the best version yet. There are people who literally couldn't finish the 3.0 content in the five weeks allotted. How do you get bored?
I fricking love the Aranaras. Came for the sexy anime girls, but stayed for the wholesome cuteness. I don't know how, but time and again, Genshin still manages to do that for me.
>replace generic "go here and do this" quest npcs with childish fairies in the shape of turnips that speak in riddles
>game is improved 500%
Reminder that Teppei, the guy who died of delusion overdose, was actually voiced and none of these guys are.
Personally I really fricking hated the aranaras because their quests just dragged on and on and on. Their questline and rana's should've been separate. Every single aranara quest just had me thinking 'are we still not getting back to rana?' It all should've been separate quest chains instead of the giant monstrosity they stitched together.
Suddenly turning into a Metroid game was VERY important to saving Rana.
It had to be this way or they couldn't cure withering infection so easily when collei is also effected by it since they have an entire manga where collei is in bandages because of it. If you could just do a tiny questline to cure it, it would have been stupid. Also both things are directly related to the overall archon quest of repairing the irmunsul.
>It had to be this way
It's fiction. Fiction can be easily written any way a writer wants lol.
It had to be this way* otherwise they'd have to rewrite 2 years of lore content not because I'm moronic and can't differentiate between reality and fiction idiot.
unless that manga had rana infected 2+ years ago then they could have very, very easily written it in a way that didn't need the plots chained together anon.
Which means they chose to do so for a reason not yet explained. If the explained reason was moronic, yes. I would agree with you. But that story isn't out yet. Because the magic leprosy, and the withering, is directly related to the archon quest and the irminsul.
>Which means they chose to do so for a reason not yet explained.
>putting this much faith in fat xiao
Anon you are nuts. I'm just gonna let you have your opinion and you're just gonna have to let me have mine.
>Also both things are directly related to the overall archon quest of repairing the irmunsul.
Imagine the reactions of people who skip world quests id the archon quest suddenly tells them that the aranara and underground tomb quests need to be completed before you can rescue Nahida.
The annoying thing is that they don't even acknowledge you did the Aranara stuff during the world quest. Paimon acts like they're not something she knows.
How do you know they control dreams otherwise though?
Wasn't that because of what that one researcher told them? The one living in the cave?
When you meet the irminsul for the first time? This is ironically the biggest lore reason why ruhka whatever turned into nahida but somehow a lot of people missed this.
I'm the opposite, I didn't give a shit about Rana and had a blast traveling with cabbage people.
I honestly just took my sweet time going through the Aranara quests because I didn't want it to end. Also there was never any real rush since it's basically multiple side quests strung together as part of one big story.
Aranaras are the best element in Genshin.
I couldn't care less about finding the sibling, like WTF. They already met, what's the point?
Also death to all Archons and Paimon.
Traveller is a moronic program that runs in cycle to clear the world once every hundreds of years.
>Aranaras are the best element in Genshin.
>best element is a straight copy paste from botw

>botw invented forest fairies

>muuh Zelda
>muuh Koroks
Go have a nice day unironically.
Those mutants are nothing like Aranaras, you filthy moron.
>chinaman unironically calling someone filthy
the lack of self awareness with you worms is astounding
No, Sumeru is way better than Inazuma so far.
I just finished golden slumber and Jeht is my wife.
Stop blueballing me and let me continue managing the store, goddamnit.
I hear a lot of praise for Sumeru exploration but I really haven't been finding it very fun at all. The map is too big and it feels like every point of interest is very far appart.
for me, it's the removal of the spear kick
I will never get over the fact that Aranara fly like helicopters.

>Gets shoehorned in the third region and killed for no reason
>No one remembers her, gets completely erased from the game
Why did mihoyo hate her so much?
>>No one remembers her, gets completely erased from the game
She had a funeral in the trailer for 3.0 and people are still asshurt about her getting killed off.
if the game ever slumps in sales they'll bullshit out a resurrection plotline for a revenue boost.
If the game ever slumps they'll do a really lazy rerun of the most popular characters.
I dunno, that seems like their regular business routine given how they're already cycling through the archons now.
What they're doing right now is just a gimmick to milk people dry to push paypigging for the new archon. If they were desperately trying to lure new players in there would be a hundred shill threads talking about how THE BIG EVENT!!!!!! is going on with a bunch of freebies and they would probably push Raiden specifically.
yeah exactly, it's their regular business routine.
>there would be a hundred shill threads talking about how THE BIG EVENT!!!!!! is going on with a bunch of freebies
Anon...they tried that, last year too, its just that this year no one gives a shit because its the same thing as one year ago
You haven't seen true gacha desperation if you think what they're doing right now is a slump.
I did, I was just stating that genshills have been in fact working overtime to hype up kusoe-girl, Sumeru and anniversary
They do a lot of reruns after the Sumeru patch because it is probably one of the bigger influxes of new/returning players and as such a perfect time to do so. Long term players will always be able to save up for C0 characters if they really want to, but new/returning players are obviously the perfect paying customers.
This all has nothing to do with desperation or dwindling player numbers, I would surprised if they aren't still slowly growing.
I'm actually glad we don't have too much coop content, the events every now and then are perfect for me (next patch has a new/returning one btw). I also like it when someone joins for a bit, had a Russian guy join me today to farm some flowers for Candace and we chatted a little bit, quite nice.
I do agree that we could us something to actually use our extremely strong characters on, but other than timer-based combat nothing will work probably, our healers/shielders are way too broken to make things not a damage-check and making it environment-based would invalidate the characters themselves.
The only actual option would be premade team like in the 3.0 event, that would allow them to crank the difficult.
>I'm actually glad we don't have too much coop content
>Im glad the game does not have content that mihoyo promised on release to include in future updates
weird take but you do you
I didn't play on release, but if they really did promise it, I do understand why you have a problem with the lack of it.
It's mostly a design overhead issue I have with the game about coop, and character design in general. If anything the fact that coop/raids/etc dont work because of how the game is currently designed is a reason Im put off, because I know they'll never work and theres no hope to hold out for. Playing from the beginning it was my hope that we would actually get end game content to play, akin to other action gachas like PGR.
I understand your point then, personally I started when Ganyu came out and never had any expectations for coop. In the beginning some guy did Dragonspine with me for fun and ever since I let anyone who requests join whenever I have the time, because they mostly just want to farm some mats or ask for help on something. The interactions I've had are all positive too, feels like helping each other out.
Looking back at coop gameplay, I'd probably like something akin to what we got during the second archipelago, where it was coop with rewards mostly based on your own performance, otherwise it has the potential to become toxic, which Mihoyo seems to avoid avidly.
The casual nature of the game is good, for stuff like the coop you mentioned. I just don't like playing gachas casually so the game ended up falling off for me, since I feel like I need to log in for dailies/etc, but then want actual content to do for it. Logging in for the sake of logging in is really what got me, and trying it again just became kinda boring when I could play something else less predatory for a casual experience.
I agree, the problem probably arises because the game is pretty far from what gachas usually are. Normally there is stiff competition to get you to spend money, but that gives you a difficulty as a non-paying customer which can also be enjoyable, I really liked it in Honkai, where keeping up with whales in Abyss was very difficult sometimes.
I play Mahjong Soul mostly otherwise atm to satisfy my competitive needs, which solves the issue, by just being the boardgame with gacha for cosmetics.
PGR really grabbed me for basically being honkai/genshin but all boss battles, which felt great. The f2p/light spending aspect felt very good too. I'd have kept playing it if I didnt take a break from just playing mobile games in general. Overall I just wish genshin was more combat oriented but it's not and I simply accept that and don't play anymore
Something something character model too bulky for playable character status something something
Because you didn't read the lore on the crimson witch of flames.
Yes because the endgame never evolved beyond 12-3* spiral abyss.
Which Genshin would you marry?
Mona!
my one true love
Stop marrying single moms.
I want to make Ei a mom
Make me.
Beidou
What kind of question is that?
Hu Tao ofcourse
I'm tired of every character being a copy of each other. They are all skinny feminine perfectionists with overdesigned hair and clothes that all have autism. It is so tiresome. All the females have designs that look like they were censored last minute such as recolored skin to conceal breasts or the spiky tight short things to conceal upskirts. Every character has the same body of three different body types per gender. One of the only exceptions was the oni guy, but he's one of the most horrendous looking characters because all they did was add a spray on abs texture to the same lanky body so he has awkward twig arms and legs.
This just makes playing the game uninteresting because I know there will never be a character I actually like. The sheer amount of off model fanart is also incredibly obnoxious. People see the same skinny Asian body with a little bit of fat on the butt and go crazy as though their curves are even worth mentioning. The faces for the most part look so bad in the game too. They cannot make mature looking characters for the life of them. Diluc's face is fricked beyond belief. Everyone just looks like a highschooler from some reject knockoff anime game made in China
>I don't like this game
>why don't you play a different one?
>REEE
Okay dude. You're right, they've overly designed anime kids. What the frick are you gunna do about it? Cry?
Post skips
I still wanna try getting Yae when she comes back, but I couldn't care less about the rest.
And I don't want any of them
guys i havent played since release. is diluc still good i have him at c6
No, he's one of the weakest 5 stars. That said, the only content where non-meta shit suffers is floor 12 of the abyss.
Took you until now to realize that? You have a impressive tolerance for souless garbage
>Abyss is still the only end game content
>Coop still has no purpose
Game had an opportunity to become a godlike mmo with fun gimmicky 4 man raid content and chose to do nothing but push out boring main story and nonstop characters. The exploration was fun for a bit but ended up sluggish (Dragonspine was good, could not stand not-Japan and quit there)
Also genuinely find the combat to really lack depth. Team building is fun but the actual execution is so barebones that the game just isnt fun. I wanted something to do but the game just never gave me a purpose.
Because neither end game or MMO like content is what people play this game for. This game is a game for casuals to log in and play at their own pace when they want to.
>Do the same 4 mind-numbing dailies
>Dump resin
>Log out
No really, how do people find this "game" fun? It's utterly maddening how "people" can keep putting up with this atrocious gameplay loop.
>how do people find this "game" fun?
sunk costs and a desperate need to "belong" to a community
it's because many genshin players are ex mmo addicts. this is what they paid 15$ a month to do before and I wouldn't be surprised if most still do here.
>how do people find this "game" fun?
when I get bored, I just fricking put it down and stop playing until the next big event or new continent. i don't autistically do chores every day just to hoard primo scraps lmao.
You did your golden slumber questline yet?
The daillies are just filler until you get a new zone bro
Yep, finally gave up at Sumeru. The writing was already barely ok during Mondstadt but it kept getting worse and worse, and the dialogue never fricking stops.
Doesn't help that the character models have giant bug eyes and animations during cutscenes are worthy of Cold Steel 1. It's pathetic.
Good thing they use all the money to fund new gachas lol
Thread needs more feet, ass, and breasts
To bring up another topic, which of the event-limited mechanics would you guys like to see in a character kit?
Personally I'd like the jump-boost one for the entire party as we have it in the current Weinlese event, would open up actually using plunge attacks on a lot of characters. The second one would be switch-skills, that activate on switching characters (I think Candace got one? but if she has it is pretty insignificant sadly).
Biggest problem with multiplayer events like this one is that it restricts parts of the gameplay, like character switching and elemental reactions.
I remember doing veganabone Legend alone
any there any snu-snu kind of characters in genshin or do they all look like china dolls?
This is the original image the drawing is based on btw
It was fun until you enter daily chore mode.
Not really, the desert is pretty nice.
>getting done with the quest removes the spooky red sky
Sad
Did we finally get mounts?
I have no idea how you're supposed to travel across all that vast empty space with the shit stamina bar this game has
Almost done.
Chest and Oculi total?
Statue cap is Level 7 + 23 Oculi.
277 Chests and 7+22 Oculi
I probably won't actually get all the chests until I get the compass.
And if I'm only missing 1 or 2 oculi I'll just wait for resonance stone.
Sumeru sucks for the compass because a lot of chests are behind puzzles which the compass won't detect. Killing a random anemo slime that ends up spawning smaller anemo slimes and then a chest appears? Compass won't detect that.

happened last year after playing for 4 months. its really not designed well for a multi-year game project
Me
Played it every day for a year, slowly stopped playing it
the more complex they make the map the more fundamental problems pop up.
>have to use ziplines because climbing is slow as frick
>world map incapable of showing multiple levels
>too much character switching for elemental interactions
>stupid tablet gimmick required for half the desert puzzles
>>have to use ziplines because climbing is slow as frick
You forgot to include gliding and running too
And stamina being dogshit
gliding is tolerable when you combine it with the ziplines and the speed buff. they need more characters with a go fast button like yelan.
>they need more characters
No, they need to increase the fricking movement and running speed and the stamina too
The exploration and moment to moment gameplay is just as engaging as it always was. Crazy how satisfying it still feels, and their environmental design keeps improving with each region. However as time goes on I have been caring less about the narrative and have to routinely clean my backlog cause I leave too many quests due to the simple reason of... I just dont really want to do them anymore, unless they are relating to my mains.
