I know PLA is like, obviously an exceptional case but I have never been interested in catching more than a handful of pokemon. I only ever caught ones I actually wanted and completing the pokedex (which I have done multiple times) is just not fun or satisfying in any way. The series moving into laser focusing on catching over battles, and completely cutting other things to do with your pokemon like contests, is one of the reasons I stop playing the games immediately after credits nowadays.
I want to, but I never actually did all the postgame quests and finished the game the first time (or any of the Daybreak stuff). I would like to start fresh but it would be stupid to not catch 'em all and transfer them to HOME first.

Honestly despite liking the game it just has way too many annoying little things that make me not want to ever replay it, I'll just take my Shiny Charm and my max star rank once and be happy with them
Actually yeah, been going to finish the postgame and finally catch arceus. Graphically, mediocre but it still runs and looks better than SV, albeit not by much. I got my team of my favorite alpha sinnohmons all roided out and between filling research tasks and doing the those postgame battles they added, it’s been a pretty comfy experience

You can just start a new profile on your Switch for a second save file. It will still work with Home.
