My friends, sadly
It genuinely took me over 5 hours to "click"
Yes, I'm a world baby
Not all games are for everyone anyway. And that is how things should be
How many hours are you in?
Are you using the Defender Armor?
honestly 2 hours. but i tried and bailed on GU and rise already.
same
I guess you just need autism
Monster hunter is good. World and everything since are not. That’s probably your issue.
Rise was not good, but it was less annoying than world. For instance it could pause. But GU was easily the best because most monsters.
I enjoyed mh frontier z, but back when I was playing it it was in a really early phase and it was a pain to play, especially since the entire thing was in japanese.
I really enjoyed World and I'm not even a worldbabby.
I really like the QoL improvements they introduced, now I get to do more hunting and less tedious busywork
Me, they seem amazing conceptually but I simply find them boring
In the actual fight you're just tiptoeing and poking for 20 minutes, half of which you can't even see more than the hips of the monster
The worst part is the grind though, I get that the game would last 10 hours without it but hell maybe that'd be better
unironically, and i don't mean this as an insult, git gud. the game becomes 10000 times better once you understand how the combat works. choose the weapon that looks most interesting to you then find a weapon tutorial for it on youtube (make sure its for the same version of the game you're playing, so if you're playing mhworld iceborne, don't look for base mhworld tutorials).
I don't like the clunky, slow movement
i just realised a new mh got released
looks like open world ubislop ;_;
also 2025
hopefully im wrong. did they release any more info other than the teaser where the dude rode the chicken around an empty bland desert?
Didn’t click for me until I used Hammer, and then Lance.
They absolutely click with me until about dozens of hours dumped into the end game, where I get burned out farming the same thing over and over.
monster hunter reeks of s0yl3nt
It's ok World is the worst one
I kinda just cheated most of the time.
>Unlimited sharpen durability
>Increased drop rate
>Longer buff duration
I don't regret it, game just wasn't really that fun for me trying to learn monster and weapon movesets. I just liked hitting giant dragons with giant weapons. Never bothered with parties or multiplayer.
I love Stories but never really clicked with the main series yet
My first game was Tri on the Wii and I remember loathing it the first time I tried it because I was playing with Greatsword and due to being a babby and the janky wii controls I could not hit the jaggi for the life of me.
Dropped it and picked it up months later, took S&S and had a blast.
I think finding a weapon you like using is one of the biggest filters in this series
Me. But I'm the kind of normie prostitute Capcom keeps trying to appeal to and I thought the Wilds trailer looked awesome. I also played one of the PSP games for a while.
everyone hates monster hunter when they first try it. I know i did until i found a weapon that just clicked for me. Now i put 1k+ hours in and regret nothing.
Just world but I came back later and it clicked then.
I've been trying to get into 2nd gen (specifically Freedom Unite) but I'm just having trouble figuring out how to actually fight monsters properly with a great sword.
It takes me about 2 minutes of walking around the monster to find a good spot for a charge attack and even then the thing will bounce off most of the time.
Am I doing something wrong? Is early game just drawn out rng attacks until I get enough materials to craft a better one?
I never clicked with the tracking, exploring, gathering and crafting just let me beat up monsters
Rise should be right up your alley then. All you need to do in that game is buy some potions from the shop, select your stat booster meal and start the hunt. The monsters are always shown on the map and the resource gathering aspect has been heavily reduced to the point where you'll just passively pick stuff up while chasing the beast.
My friends love em, and have played every entry since 3, or FU. I only really enjoyed my time with MH during 3/4, and everything afterwards has felt like a job.
You posted the worst one
i liked the hammer because it was like the only weapon that actually seems to stagger the monster. really annoyed with games where you hit an enemy and it does absolutely nothing in response. its why i dont like dark soul bosses
I feel like I want to like World, but I’ve never been able to get into it. It’s not like it’s bad or anything, I just stop playing.
