Monkey island 2 & 3
deponia trilogy
Broken Sword
Paradigm is the only one i ever finished.
Pacman New Adventures
JumpStart Adventures 3rd Grade: Mystery Mountain
Why does no one in Ganker play this one?
That looks pretty cool thanks. Hopefully it's on LINUX
Bought this game in Steam Summer Sale, def. going to play it
Thanks for bringing this up, I wishlisted it 🙂
ive only ever played deponia and i didnt really like it that much. does it get better or am i just too moronic for these kinds of games?
I think you either like em or you don't. I'm pretty moronic too, it takes me ages to solve some of the puzzles. I enjoy it though
I only played the amanita games, the first monkey island and Deponia. Deponia is kinda mediocre, but Machinarium is really fricking good, man
i like the idea. are there any good ones that a reasonably intelligent fella can play without a hint guide or having to be familier with "point and click game logic"?
OP's game would suffice.
OP pic is pretty good. Art and soundtrack are nice as well. You should get through it but if you aren't sure how to progress you might end up annoyed and clicking around seemingly randomly
That game has ingame hint mini game for casuals.
Sure. It's not like you have to use it though
Machinanium is incredible. I love that game. Try Samorost by the same devs (I think it's their first game?), it's real cool albeit quite short.
If you want something darker try Tormentum, it has different endings and it's inspired by Giger. To a lesser darker degree, Primordia is also fantastic.
this is such a good fricking game, full of soul
botanicula is also soulful, but I like machinarium better
chuchel, however, is shit for babies and censored, devs are moronic
These are some of my favorites.
>ghost trick
based
What in the middle of mystery? Looks kinda familiar
Sea Cat
thanks bros, looked like higurashi
Umineko
No. I like the idea of them but they always suck to actually play. I like games with adventure game elements but actual gameplay or puzzles, not just clicking on stuff.
Very based. The mystery and puzzles 3x3s are pretty much what i'm talking about.
>Deadly Premonition.
Don't get me wrong I fricking love it, but it's not a Point and Click game.
only the middle of that chart is labeled as p and c
Where is Outer Wilds?
Point and click adventure games aren't walking sims.
Not sure why you are even bringing up Outer Wilds in a point and click puzzle thread, but you do you sweetie.
I just find it weird that Outer Wilds isn't in that Mystery 3x3.
>Mystery
>Outer Wilds
How is Outer Wilds not mystery?
Primordia
Unavowed
Blade Runner
Broken Sword 1 & 2
Seconding Primordia, a really soulful game
Also, Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis holds up pretty well with SCUMM VM
More a puzzle game than a point and clicks but I loved the Room 1 to 4
This game is good as long as you have one of the versions where the peg puzzle can be cheesed holy shit what were they thinking
For old games, it has to be Star Trek 25th Anniversary/Judgement Rites. For new games, Technobabylon.
Least favourite is Shardlight. How painfully mediocre that one was.
yes, i like the more puzzle focused ones like the amanita design games and the room games
i havent played happy game yet, is it any good?
Unavowed was AS BALLER AS POSSIBLE
Riven and Grim Fandango are my two favorites.
Indiana Jones and the fate of Atlantis.
Maniac Mansion 2: The day of the Tentacle.
Beneath a Steel Sky.
Monkey Island series.
Grim Fandango.
The longest Journey.
The longest Journey: Dreamfall.
I have no mouth and I must scream.
Full Throttle.
Sam & Max: Hit the Road.
The Neverhood.
Deja Vu.
Just to name a few off the top of my head.
Machinarium is one of the most SOVL games I've ever played
I usually don't play those kind of games (because I suck at them) but I made an exception fot machinarum. Really enjoyed it
If there ever was a genre that would benefit from procedual generation is this one and yet it's the only one that never ever not once did it.
Longest Journey and Still Life
I finished Botanicula recently
>point and click thread
>NOBODY mentioned submachine
how
Real games not flash nonsense
but it's submachine
Day of the Tentacle
Lesuire Suit Larry 6
Monkey Island 2
Sam and Max Hit the Road
Toonstruck
Primordia
Zniw's Adventure
There's few good ones coming along like Brok, Beyond the Edge of Owlsguard and Crown of Leaves (Which technically is a bit of a VN-Point'n'click hybrid). Too bad Foxtail got fricked because the author had to flee Ukraine. I'm also excited for Gobliiins 5 because Pierre launched a kickstarter few months back.
Other than that - there haven't been any new releases I'm particularly hyped for, because a lot of stuff is either garbage tier looking or is STRONG FEMALE PROTAG THAT NEEDS NO MAN garbo.
