Getting to 100% is meaningful if you want to be able to fully edit the source code and shift everything around then recompile the ROM, but if it's only a few functions that aren't converted from assembly to the source language you could make a port that accounts for that.

Has anyone created a mod for a modern dual analog controller yet? Like this WWHD pic
>co-op mode (wip)
Thhe SoH co-op is some kind of Tingle Tuner like feature, right?
Wake me up when SoH can support true multiplayer randos like the glory days of ModLoader64 with Gankernons
No, just check the archives for Kinganon. He usually drops links to the newest builds in these threads.
Given that the download links for new builds got moved to Github (thank god) the only things of actual importance I'm posting are the pre-ripped otr files.
It was the first time I actually beat OoT, I had the cartridge but always got filtered by one thing or another. Even without crazy mods the simple QoL like putting boots as items and using the D-Pad for extra items is great, along with the consistent framerate and widescreen. It and the SM64 port are both amazing, haven't gotten to Perfect Dark yet though
There's a single-click preset to run the game at the original resolution and aspect ratio, if you do that, keep the framerate capped and don't toggle any QoL enhancements it's virtually indistinguishable from the N64 original besides not dropping frames
The type of people who b***h about SOH not being "accurate" are the same ones okay with nintendos horrible switch version full of broken effects and visual glitches. Which is to say their real problem is that the ship is not officially licensed.
Not at all, the game ran perfectly fine and nothing was broken be it animations or combat. I was pleasantly surprised. IIRC it was the Frame Interpolation setting in Enhancement.
I installed it in April and didn't check for an update since the, if that help.
Ship devs said they have a few months to go back in november, but the repo they linked also hasn't had a commit in 2 months so idk.
You can compile and run whats already there, and even extract models and maps. But not all the features are there.
>let's """""improve""""" this game by replacing all its iconic visual elements with ugly higher resolution trash made by some autist in his bedroom!!

>replacing all its iconic visual elements with ugly higher resolution trash made by some autist
tendies are hilarious, they'll shit on pc mods while defending the 3ds remake when the pic in op is literally ported 3ds textures
They fricked up the warp pedestals too, they're just generic in the 3ds port. (yes, it's a port or remaster. Not a remake. It's the same exact N64 rom with new assets, no I am not kidding.)
>>let's """""improve""""" this game by replacing all its iconic visual elements with ugly higher resolution trash made by some autist in his bedroom!!
bro i've played a half dozen versions of each zelda game already, released by nintendo themselves. i have nothing against a fan built PC version.
this is like being mad at the Turok PC remaster because it has more than 3 meters of view distance now.
its basically a free remake of a 25+ year old game, done better, with more features, for free, than most of the official re-releases we get.
why be mad another option to play a favorite game exist. fricking moron.
>custom icons
Trash. Stop wasting time on bullshit and give me new adventures in the engine I love. New assets should mach the aesthetic of the original.
You mean like moving Link with the left stick and the camera with the right stick? I'm pretty sure it's one of the things you can set up in SoH but I didn't like it.
No I mean a HUD that isn't modeled after the N64 controller
You mean like moving Link with the left stick and the camera with the right stick? I'm pretty sure it's one of the things you can set up in SoH but I didn't like it.
Still waiting patiently for Majora's Mask to get decamped so someone can make a PC port. I want that widescreen 1440p high FPS experience for my first playthrough.
I'm playing a lot actually, it's actually making me better and better at tips and tricks at oot without entering the realm of glitching which I'm not interested in.
My latest randomizer seed had me find 5/6 child songs very early with song of time being the very last check I got before ganon's key.
I recommand playing with 2x boss speed and 8x received damage, randomized mobs and mobs sizes, you're gonna dread peahats real quick.
I do, and have been curious as to how people play it co-op and complete randomizers? My friend has never play Zelda and would love to co-op with him over Ship. Any advice would be great help.
I've been planning to but keep forgetting. Is it hard to find? Might as well play mario as well. Is banjo done yet?
>is banjo done yet
nope and probably won't be for another 2-3 years since someone is a moron and constantly puts it on hold
How do you know
it's been stuck on 98 percent for ages
they will always frick with visuals
That doesn't mean shit. It can be perfectly functional without the remaining 2%. Besides, decompiling is a completely separate process from porting

It can, you just have to use the beta build:
https://github.com/garrettjoecox/OOT/pull/64
I imagine this will get merged in when its more stable.
God I wish but SoH can barely do model swaps

no i play OoT on N64 on my CRT
yeah I played until Ganon's Castle on PC, and until Shadow Temple on Wii U. it's pretty neat
No, if you're going to play a N64 game you should play it as it was made, not some fanfiction alteration of it.
I would rather someone play it in the way they would most enjoy it, rather than to skip out on experiencing it at all.
But you aren't playing the game at all if you mod it, you're playing fanfiction.
canon is a concept invented by israeli priests in biblical times to control the narrative of their religious holy book.
>the same game with modern frame rate is a fanfiction
Yes
and? it's a superior product
so?

Why are you still trying to get this fight going? Your solo argument makes no sense and no one is biting
the frame drops are because Link is reciting the story to someone and at times forgets thus the frame drops
Waiting for modding to really take off.
I just played the game on my N64 around christmas.
I did some months ago, I didn't engage with the randomizer, just a playthrough at 60fps. Had a great time, way more than I expected tbh.
Now I'm waiting for Majora's Mask, but I reckon it won't be decompiled for a long while yet.
lmfao
Animations still fricked at 60fps?
They did some custom tweaks on some of the weird animations like the roll, instead of it just being automatically interpolated.
Just play it at 40FPS if you can. Way crisper animation that way. 60FPS looks like some unholy nonsense.
This, and I'd say the same for Mario 64 on PC
Not at all, the game ran perfectly fine and nothing was broken be it animations or combat. I was pleasantly surprised. IIRC it was the Frame Interpolation setting in Enhancement.

Too many pixels. Too many frames.
>let's """""improve""""" this game by replacing all its iconic visual elements with ugly higher resolution trash made by some autist in his bedroom!!
modding needs to end
I agree remakes and remasters shouldn't exist
remastering something for modern systems can be nice if they don't frick with the visuals
>replacing all its iconic visual elements with ugly higher resolution trash made by some autist
tendies are hilarious, they'll shit on pc mods while defending the 3ds remake when the pic in op is literally ported 3ds textures
I hate the 3ds rainbow bridge so much, its super overdesigned.
Its also a literal bridge and not solid light which doesn't even make sense
Me too god damn I hate it and nobody ever brings it up as a negative when talking about the 3ds assets
They also fricked up all the spirit stones, the sapphire and emerald look like plastic toys, instead of cut gemstones.
They fricked up the warp pedestals too, they're just generic in the 3ds port. (yes, it's a port or remaster. Not a remake. It's the same exact N64 rom with new assets, no I am not kidding.)
Prove it.
It's never been so easy to see the soul being sucked from something great.
The 3ds garbage is precisely why I have a knee jerk reaction to tacky texture replacement dumbass
Some stuff looks great like goron town some stuff like outside Temple Of Time and Rainbow Bridge have 0 sovl and I hate the heart meter
I'll never forget you, bifrost

lmfao
can't they do sth about that grass
>custom icons
Trash. Stop wasting time on bullshit and give me new adventures in the engine I love. New assets should mach the aesthetic of the original.
Has anyone created a mod for a modern dual analog controller yet? Like this WWHD pic
What do you mean? SoH has free camera movement
No I mean a HUD that isn't modeled after the N64 controller
There are controller button mods for soh, yeah
You mean like moving Link with the left stick and the camera with the right stick? I'm pretty sure it's one of the things you can set up in SoH but I didn't like it.
Does the game run at 120fps yet
can Sealed Palace be ported to soh?
They could at least try to make the D-pad fit the rest of the UI. It's a bit awkward.
I did. Never playing the original on N64 again.
trash
I wish I could play it but it starts lagging hard with mods on the Steam Deck for some reason
You could always proton the windows build instead.
When are 3ds map models gonna be possible? Vertex lighting included
Its pretty close but don't expect it until after 2S2H (MM PC) drops in a couple months
thanks for the info, but I just wanna mention 2S2H is such a horrible name for them to use.
yeah but not using that ugly as frick mod.
Still waiting patiently for Majora's Mask to get decamped so someone can make a PC port. I want that widescreen 1440p high FPS experience for my first playthrough.
decomped*
Harbour Masters already forked the ZRET decomp and finished it within 5 days lmao, expect MM PC before March
Nice, can't wait.
I'm waiting for the 8k texture pack, make link black model swap and randomize every frame mod
Waiting for a 4:3 mode that doesn't involve me changing Windows settings
I'm playing a lot actually, it's actually making me better and better at tips and tricks at oot without entering the realm of glitching which I'm not interested in.
My latest randomizer seed had me find 5/6 child songs very early with song of time being the very last check I got before ganon's key.

that looks like complete garbage
>i-it just does, okay?
I do, and have been curious as to how people play it co-op and complete randomizers? My friend has never play Zelda and would love to co-op with him over Ship. Any advice would be great help.
is there a mod for it to look like the 3ds version?
N64 graphics upscalled and at 60fps look horrible
ZOOP! I'm the moron spoon feeding fairy here you go
>https://gamebanana.com/mods/477979
I like emulating the 3DS version, even played the randomizer on it a couple times. I'll try out SoH eventually, just never really saw the point.
