Yes. I love the shape of the original marines, the point is remeniscant of the knights of old, as well as being good shape to deflect bullets. Later ones are moronic, look like screaming babies and with their shot trapping grill.
they also have more of a 'racecar' look to them that I like. like a depraved gasmask huffing junkie than the noble buff tank darth vader that took off.
The primaris design is pretty lazy because it just has 3 rows of repeating lines, but the screaming pigface is pretty mediocre too. At least it's not a beakie.

The Primaris have always felt a lot less... emotional? than beakies or mk.7, and I've never been sure why. Looking at it next to a mk.4 hat, the slightly deeper eyebrow ridge and even more minor angle change of the face vents give the the mk.4 a lot more anger and intimidation to it.

Literally the only design improvement primaris has over firstborns is longer legs. Everything else makes them more generic.
If they had just gone into their master files and increased the scale of the legs around 10-15% and changed nothing else everyone would've loved them and they wouldn't need to destroy the lore or invalidate everyone's space marine armies.
I just mix and match whatever is handy. I could care less about lore and weapons load outs, I am not using 40k rules. Thinking about picking up some Tacticals and Devastators for this reason. God I hate the death company intercessors. It's a genuinely insulting kit. It's literally just the intercessor sprue and the BA upgrade kit packaged together but more expensive than the component parts.
Also the styles of different legs and shoulder pads. Even if you put all the extra gubbins from the left, the Primaris marines on the right would still have the exact same arnour. You'd be forgiven for thinking they were the same guy, which isn't the case for the older ones.

It's funny because people used to complain about Marines lacking character but primaris really show just how low the bar could really go. With the old tactical box you could make 10 unique guys, then you could buy another box and make 10 more. You could combine the armour and the heads into different poses and configurations but now you just have multiple copies of the same guy, with the same weapons and armour. No different armour MKs mixed together to sell the idea that this technology is rare and it's easier and much more common to piece together old armour than it is to make new suits and that then further reflects the stagnant nature of the not only the imperium but an entire setting circling the drain of entropy. No, lets knock that on the head for the sake of appealing to call of dooty babies and brain dead Halo fan boys. It's top tier corporate slop and it shows.

i've seen people put old marine backpacks, helmets, and bolters on primaris models before and really liked how it looked. i think one of the reasons why i don't like primaris is because they're so uniform and their bolters look too long
