Bump
I play DanceRail 3, it's a pretty solid rhythm game. Reminds me of Bandori, Project Sekai in a way but a bit more difficult than the two (I've only played it recently so I may be wrong). Doesn't have ads and IAPs, you unlock songs as you progress it seems.
This. Used to play it but yet again and like you said, the fanbase and that gacha themed rhythm games no longer interest me. I remembered when I got kicked out a group live for "harassment" despite doing nothing at all and I despise the sticker spam before a live started. I do like the music though. I did play IdolM@ster Cinderella Girls and Million Live and both were decent in terms of music and characters. I mostly play non-gacha rhythm games and emulate console rhythm games on an emulator like that one Taiko game.
I've tried out Bang Dream, D4DJ, Project Sekai, and (JP only) World Dai Star, and D4DJ is the one whose gameplay I liked the most and stuck with longterm.
i play bandori & project sekai mostly, d4dj if i feel like it (i wish there was a faster note speed, switching between bandori & d4dj is JARRING). i tried love live & enstars but i couldn't stand either of them.
I played T7S and it was pretty fun,but since I have android inputs sometimes got wonky, same with D4DJ.Tried out Arcaea too and it got a switch port apparently which I consider buying but idk if it's worth it.I also played SIF before I got a phone on PC and it was a horrible experience.Don't emulate games clearly meant for a touchscreen on a laptop folks.
Tokyo 7th Sisters. I get the impression that almost everyone dabbling in mobile rhythm games seems to have played every single mobile rhythm game in existence except T7S, which they refuse to acknowledge even exists, never mind try it.
Rhythm games are generally not very friendly on Android devices.
Caved in and bought the arcaea switch port. It's pretty good.Controls are responsive and both play modes work well even though I'm not super into how sky notes work in joycon mode. The game itself is somewhat grindy with world mode still being your primary way of unlocking songs but the initial selection is still pretty good in my opinion.Another plus is that you don't have to buy song packs, aside from collaboration ones.No online functionality but seeing as it's a port I think that's a good thing.
Phigros
Phigros has no ads, no IAPs so if you're concerned about that aspect, don't worry about it because they have neither of those.

Only Project Sekai for the music and Honami. Used to play Cy2us years ago, but my god that game's monetization is fricking ASS.
Holy shit, take a picture, there's a honami fan out in the wild.
Explain Honami and what it is?
I hate tiering.
Good luck anon, stay strong
I used to play Bandori, but got tired of the fanbase and threads.
Both the original and cover songs were great, though.

Bang Dream
D4DJ
Love Live
Colorful Stage
Idolmaster Million Live
I might get into Shiny Colors rhythm game later
If you do get into that Shiny Colors rhythm game, let me know and if it's good, may as well sacrifice a few games to save space for it.
Is muse dash considered bad or something? Only one of the genre I tried and really liked it, playing it on pc though but it has a mobile version
it's chinkshit

Love Live is overrated and shilled a lot, enstars is basically a breeding ground for fujos and female weebs who smell and are fat

bushiroad abandoned this while taking the ideas and put it on BanG Dream!
tho excited for their new game, if anyone knows of this franchise to begin with
Rhythym of Fighters:
Not project sekai, because it fricking blows
Why? I think it's pretty good especially if you're into vocaloid music
Not that anon but it runs like complete ass with constant bugs and crashes.
Muse dash, it's the best by far
For me it's Deemo II
