Just got this game and I am excited to play a modern Men of War. When I start the game up it runs fine music playing intro going but I can't click on anything. My mouse moves but doesn't select anything. I look online and while I see people talk about having the issue no one seems to know how to fix it.
>modern Men of War
ehh, there are better pretenders to that title, but okay
>issues
1) try changing stuff in %USERPROFILE%DocumentsSyrianWarfareprofiles[somethingsomething]gameoptions.xml
2) there's another game (or maybe they did two?) from the same devs (methinks?) called simply "Warfare": it's an earlier title with all the cons, and it's not on steam afaik, but it's a very similar game so mayhaps itll scratch that itch enough
3) try a pirated repack or get a new pc or smth idk
>ehh, there are better pretenders to that title
like what? dont say call to arms. im also looking for a more modern version of men of war
Try running it in the compatibility mode with windows 7.
If you have multiple drives try installing it in C drive.
How many cores does your processor have?
I had no problems running it on 5900X. OP has some kind of an issue with the graphics card driver.
Another pocket surrendered yesterday, even their "heroes" are not even trying anymore. Only keyboard Rambos are still in denial.
since we finally get a thread ill ask, is there a list of all the unique stuff you can find on each mission? for example on the first mission where you get 2 squads of spec ops to find a VIP before calling the syrian army you can find a should ATGM that doesn't need to deploy to fire.
I save scumming an intended feature of this game?
The veterans system makes vets and experienced vehicle crews irreplaceable, and the more casualties you take, the less troops you get on the next mission.
>bmp hits a landmine
Load save*
>T62 crew Burns alive from a rpg rocket
Load save*
>my anti tank guided missile misses, my truck gets deleted
Load save*
>a max vet infantry squad lost 50% of its manpower from a frag rpg
Load save*
I’m also playing on the harder difficulty and refuse to lower it. I enjoy how difficult some of the missions are, and how unforgiving it can be to forget to micro manage a unit on the other side of the map, but intense autism and “needing” to see my veterans in the next mission is almost ruining the game for me. I hate how many times I re approach situations to try to get zero casualties, but I really really like the game. Super fun, my 2nd playthrough will be better. My micro manning skills from company of heroes don’t apply here, units all have like 16 times greater range than in that game, and combat is much quicker paced.
>I save scumming an intended feature of this game?
Yes, but real men play on ironman.
The game is very scripted, and the scripts can really frick you over if you're not ready.
>I’m also playing on the harder difficulty and refuse to lower it.
then suffer
play on lower difficulty but ironman
>I have no fun but i will force myself to play it the way I hate it
anon pls
Bayraktar`s interface looks different.
it was one of the quadcopter types hit
>>bmp hits a landmine
enginers are supposed to be your very front line troops alongside assault squads, totally your fault, git gut.
>t62 burns from rpg rocket
the basic rpg 7 that get spammed is pretty weak against most tanks and requires close range and multiple hits, also your fault for sending tanks as point men
>my anti tank guided missile misses, my truck gets deleted
vehicles lose accuracy when moving, and moving vehicles can avoid ATGM's, also trucks with ATGM get more range than tanks, git gut
>a max vet infantry lose half its people
is not the end of the world, as long as one squad member is still alive you can replenish them for the next mission, you have a menu with formation options to avoid that kind of situations and decrease possible casualties.
The arcadegay fears the autist.
How it is going monkey, did you already take Kiyv three times?
didn't Q2 end of a couple of weeks ago?
Get Call to Arms.
Thats a modern day men of war with an added FPS mode.
Can't wait for the sequel:
>Ukrainian Warfare.
It was in a development, but the devs got canned.
That would have to be a completely new game, tower defense style against a hoholian terdef horde. Don't think it would be too engaging, mowing down chaff gets boring fast.
The devs went back to making cat games.
run in windowed mode
>modern Men of War
You literally have Call to Arms, it's made on the same engine as Men of War.
