Anyone know Retro 3d games that actually hold up? I downloaded 50 PS1 games recommended from here and Ganker and burned them to a cd-r and the majority of them were either generic jrpgs only released because ff7 was big or "you had to be there to enjoy it" titles
Also Spyro 1 is the only good game in the trilogy

CRTs are wasted on the zoomer.
There's no lack of crts though so how can one be wasted?
Metal Gear Solid would be at the top of my list for ps1 games that hold up the most.
It's hardly an original answer but I think most obscure titles stay obscure usually for a good reason.

Why even bother then zoomer?
You won't get Skyrim on PS1 and you won't get Super Mario World on Atari 2600. Devs built the games around hardware limitations and that's what makes them unique and different than newer games and therefore appealing beyond mere nostalgia.
