Anyone see this game?
Looks interesting, but also looks rough as frick. Vicky 2.1
Studio has also never made a game so im' hesitant to care too much about it.

It's the real Victoria 3. Stockpiles, transportation of goods.
Now i did, and looking forward for it.
It really is, and warfare is actually look cool.
>Kickstarter
Into the trash you go.
iirc the game is already fully-funded, the kickstarter is just for publicity. a lot of companies have been using it for marketing like that nowadays
thats pretty clever
>lincoln is the head of the usa in 1822
oh so its not a epic historical distillery builder sim?
Says there it's an alpha.
Place holder
Looks great, and it seems most of the game is almost done.
mite b cool
Will find out in a few years.
According to steam, the planned release date is this year.
Yeah, like I said, we'll find out if it's good in a few years.
Just like Espiocracy lel
They said elsewhere that what is coming this year is early access. So see you in a few years
>Vic 3 has horrid 3D models
>Now this has weird looking Live2D shit
What's wrong with nice, static portraits?
At least this look nice unlike the Victoria 3 models.
>Kickstarter
>More Eurocentrist Slop
>Kickstarter
>Wow I can play the same shitty European thieving nations again for the 1XXXXX time???!!
When these fricking GSG morons grow a pair and start making games that are near and into the future where we can colonize other planets and conflict with aliens I'll give a damn. Also its fricking kickstarter fluff it'll be DOA if it ever even gets there.
darkies seething
can you picture like, nigerians setting up a mars colony lmfao they can't even build their own infrastructure without having whitoids design it and chinks build it
>eurocentrist
as opposed to what? ahistorical fantasy?
Dumb tourist
whops somebody got COLONIZED
yeah you, by muslims or latinx depending on if you're a europeon or an amerifat
>latinx
ah so you're a leftist
frick off
>waah eurocentric
It's a Chinese studio.
>chinese studio
Even worse I expect them to abandon it not soon after launch.
You seem mighty ornery, boy
>we fought together against the ububu tribe and captured many of their boys and girls
>the orgy lasted last into the night
>but then the chief ignored the advice of his twana and didn't burn the sacred wolulas to drive away the obunbuns
>he died shortly afterwards as the obunbuns dragged him from his home
>his spirit now haunts the solitary gyando, which is why you should never hunt there
>and that is why you must always follow the creed of the quak'tondo
Someone get Paradox on the phone, I've got their next grand strategy title right here.
Tbqh African Tactical Rape simulator where you lead your Child Rape Death Squads armed with AK's filled with ammo made from crashed planes sounds quite great
>BOSS GET DOWN! THAT'S AN ENEMY CHOPPER!
this would unironically be great content for games like six ages, but they are too busy making stone age tribes being composed of blacks, whites and asians at the same time, plus women and gender ambiguous leaders
TW: Uganda
nice cultural appropriation, shitlord!
>Eurocentrist
as it should be
>>More Eurocentrist Slop
this
i demand abbo centrist game
How would the gameplay look?
Eu4 but with less bloat
>>More Eurocentrist Slop
Good afternoon, SAR!
sBlack person
kek
which VautiST made this game
Real warfare system
Any game made purely out of spite, and in a genre as niche as this, isn't going to do as well as people hope it will.
agree, which is why v3 failed
releasing a game to spite your oldgay audience is pretty unhealthy and weird
hopefully gilded destiny will be a step in the right direction for the genre
Well there's actually warfare in Gilded Destiny. Divisions and Corps.
Enough about Victoria 3.
Given how long these things take to develop, I wouldn't be surprised if they just started copying off of Victoria 2 back when Victoria 3 was this unannounced hypothetical game and then changed their marketing after the actual Victoria 3 came out and turned out to be slop.
This is pretty believable considering how hard they went in the "you can control your units guys, more than 3 buttons" and all that in their dev videos, and even the fricking trailer. All the people gassing this up are the ones that got disappointed in vic 3 and not being able to micro troops.
I'm sorry. Victoria 3 is not a good game.
>Given how long these things take to develop, I wouldn't be surprised if they just started copying off of Victoria 2 back when Victoria 3 was this unannounced hypothetical game and then changed their marketing after the actual Victoria 3 came out and turned out to be slop.
I think what happened was they had a bunch of different products in early stages, and decided to focus on this one when V3 turned out to be shit and they saw niche opening
Their VP of Publishing was at Paradox for ~5 years. They clearly pounced
>niche opening
Does this mean you guys will BUY this game? 😀
:DD ??
I kinda like their detailed modularity of the map
This game's gonna fall flat on its nose like all games in this genre.
Y'all are just gassing up a game that you're not purchasing anyway because no matter what it does right, it'll do far too much wrong.
Building city tiles for adjacency bonuses, an ugly hexagon map, shitty modifier-only laws? C'mon, get real.
Okay Whiz
It looks good, though I wish the hexes were smaller so we'd get some nicer borders. The map looks really chunky since I'm so used to provinces
Hexes probably better for this game. less complex dev
>Bokoen vic3 video sponsored by them.
Do these guys secretly have funding? I was surprised.
Company is based on Hong Kong, company site has Chinese listed as second language
Probably some state funds
The Chinese are going to make a better Vic3. Praise kek.
They posted an alpha map on YT. If only there were more provinces, also smaller hexes for better borders and coasts. But I imagine that would be really taxing to run
i can live with that kind of resolution, looks good
I dont like hex borders, makes the provinces look very unrealistic
Also the names of the provinces should change depending on the culture of the owner, for more flavor.
>ostpreussen
>sachsen
>westgalizien
vgh
Don't know if they have an automatic system, but you can manually rename every province and city while ingame
Why is Baltic yellow? Did somebody take a piss in there? Looks very confusing
>My hand drawn uncolored map
What about cultures that don't have a "leader", like almost anybody under either the KoK or the Ottomans at the start? Or are you telling me we won't have any cultural tensions for either of those, in the game that specifically includes cultures?(By the by, I wonder if they'll implement the many, many Chinese cultures that were stomped over, or are they gonna go with "All China is Chinese, except maybe Manchurians". The middle road would be making them all, but making them all this game equivalent of "accepted" even if it was completely not the case in reality)
>Why We Are Bummed Spore Fell
>What about cultures that don't have a "leader"
The hegemon is the owner of the culture which accepts that culture. Assuming the Ottomans don't accept Arabs it'll be Egypt for example. But yeah people like the Armenians will be screwed over but that just means their traits will be static I guess.
The cultural hegemon mechanic was gay and gamey in CK3 and it's gay here too.
my first thought, came here to see what /vst/ thought
copying shitty mechanics does not make me very optimistic
Didn't play CK3. What's the mechanic you're talking about?
each culture has a cultural "leader", usually the strongest representative of that culture, and they decide what cultural "traits" (usually buffs) a nationality should have
gilded destiny is utilizing that for pops, and cultural traits can also be penalties
it feels like a bastardization of all sorts of shitty paradox mechanics
cultural traits is just how they implement in IQ differences by stealth
They confirmed that individual cultural traits can be locked from the player being able to remove them, and they can be added and removed by event. Depending on how flexible that turns out to be I can see it being possible to do interesting stuff with it
Like this
I like the culture mechanic. This is not in Vic. Has great potential.
