>another episode where single player gays actthat game they played for a week and liked 15 years ago is somehow better than even older games which are played to this day.
I loved this game as a kid but it doesn't quite hold up as good now as an adult, still a good rts though(I prefer the original Empire Earth out of these civ-style rts games)
The #1 problem with the game is capped resources, there's probably a mod that undoes it but it's really moronic how your economy is artificially bottlenecked
And the supply carts. Jesus christ what were they thinking.
Also any era with planes / nukes becomes cancerous to play in, but that's not unique to Rise of Nations, that's literally every game that goes from <no planes and rockets> to <planes and rockets>.
I had the most fun with it capping the final age to napoleonic warfare, it has real steampunk feel that way, and you get most of the techs & military types that aren't cancer.
It came of 2 years after the Conquerors expansion, so it wasn't competing against AOE2 but riding the RTS wave of the early 00s. The the whole genre died when Warcraft 3 was succeeded by WoW.
and that's a good thing. I've replayed it recently and honestly it's just a weird jankfest with design choices all over the place

>Civilization at home
Better than AoE2. AoE2 is massively overrated.
>kino at home

The lack of a quality campaign is what stopped the game from reaching anywhere near the level of success.
>normie midwit gets filtered
why am I not suprised?
Are you ok? Can you read?
The cold war campaign was fun
My favourite tbh and taught me a lot about history at the time when I was completely oblivious
>communist mission to overthrow south african government
>you win
>china gets annexed by the ussr as a result
I need tiiiiiiiiMBER
This game is amazing and everyone knows this.
Doesn't really appeal to MP sweatlords as the gameplay tries to be strategic/"total war" model, which sacrifices micro intensity by design.
The roblox game with the same name as this game is better
what the frick is a roblox?

zoomer shit
>limits game to the Classical Age
AOE1 at home
Except objectively more enjoyable than AoE2

Rise of Nation’s Steam release was riddled with bugs, I ended up going back to the original. No reason to believe Rose of Legends justice.
No reason to believe they’d do Rise of Legends justice*
