2 had a fricking championship held in a real castle with fire-breathing jesters and peasant servants pouring RedBull out of a jug. I think it's hard to compare the two.
same. Sadly by then everyone will have totally mastered the meta so online play will just be the same as aoe2 'who can click the build order fastest' bs. man i miss being a kid and just being able to play without build orders being a thing.
The problem is that if you release a RTS people will b***h about it not innovating. See Tempest Rising threads. Blame the genre for its stagnating nature.
Doing the simpelest rush with hre where I went for the spawn 5 units landmark scared all of my playmates to such a degree that they gave up on the game. They didn't even try facing decent opponents online so they never realized how bad I am
They changed it now, it's like council hall but barrack in the new update. It's fricking hilarious when your opponent cant do shit about the 10 man at arms in his base
They released it severely undercooked and too many things needed adjustments and reworks. Other than that it's in a good place now. I have a couple friends I play with occasionally and we can still get a game with people at about our scrub skill level in under a minute so its community is doing okay. The autismos on /rts/ seem to hate it, but they're too stuck on a game that's had decades of refinements, they're not willing to stick with a new game through the rough early days until it gets to a place where the player base is satisfied.
I downloaded it with GoyimPass and I found I had to disable my laptop GPU to use my external GPU in this game. It’s the only one I have ever seen with this problem, it is a known issue since launch and they never fixed it.
It looks like shit and I love II too much and they carrier over a bunch of weird shit from III like advancing with buildings and all of the minerals being from one mine
>fail
It was a success. Unless you think microsoft cares about sales or even profits.
It's rated 9/10 on Steam. There are 10k players playing it right now on Steam. I don't see how it failed.
2 has more concurrent players.
Your mom has more concurrent players.
Rude.

I'll buy the full edition on sale in three years.

Why would I need a new one when 2 already exists
To send a message that you care and want more RTS games in the future.

The RTS shitter stories are real
AoE4 is pretty good nevertheless

True this, its pretty tood now, i just jope it gets a new civ and content soon
Which timeline are you in right now to think this game was a commercial failure? There are over 10,000 players playing on STEAM on average
I refunded it because my GTX950 was struggling on low settings. This game should not be harder to run than GTA5 or MH: Iceborne. Like holy shit.
Because It wasn't the AOE IV that we wanted
I keep forgetting it exists.
Which isn't a good look for a new game in one of the best known series.

So, I just uninstalled.
