Youtube comments are paid pajeet hype posts for cosmetics.

The new update fricking sucks, I only really play it because of the Titanfall movement. I wish they added a game mode without skills.

Matchmaking is also just total shit, when asked if you could climb ranked without a premade the dev questioned started actually laughing. Premades and hacks run rampant and they don't do anything to group premades together into the same games since Premades and they're SBMM mean they're basically not counted towards the lobby average. Meaning you'll get stomped by premades everytime

It has excellent movement mechanics (inherited from the engine it was ripped off from) that you cant use in a firefight
You have abilities meant to turn around the tide of combat, but when you can actually do shit the tears flood until they become uselesss for "fairness sake", and you're encouraged through ridiculous cooldowns to not use abilities at all until an encounter, where your whole team can dump all their garbage into a puny kind of deathball to get the advantage
Game is a huge map with different grades of loot to pick all around, yet people merely sit on their spot doing NOTHING until they're forced by the ring to evacuate to a different zone where another team was likely sitting on waiting to shit on the refugees
Or your other alternative is drop right down at the first point of interest with other 20+ players where you may or may not even get a gun on time to escape the hotdrop cluster genocide

Gunfire is moronic loud and if you aim a bit too high to lose the shot into the sky everyone will see a stray shot and an origin vector, you practically alert everyone lurking several kilometers around that not only there's someone around, but someone engaged into a fight, so its nearly guaranteed someone will creep closer until a fight is over or at an impasse, and get either a drop on a distracted prey or mere easy kill worn down by someone else.
So this accounts to people not actually wanting to shoot or fight altogether until they can get a drop on another team and a mostly guaranteed victory, which will turn into a slow gameplan rather than the high octane action the game blueballs you with with an almost functional movement system, until you can get a clean fight, loot and get out/back into position fast to welcome the third parties

It's funny how a good bunch of its problem stem from having good movement options that amount to nothing when push comes to shove, you can get some okay momentum to zip around the battlefield but you cant rely on it since any sort of damage, no matter how insignificant, cuts your momentum to a crawl, and combined with the decades old ironsights issue and gunfire spray plaguing fps, most gunfire will in turn become cover shooting shit, discouraging you from even attempting unless you're a japanese streamer farming clips
A single shot can be heard by anyone in a big radius, on small maps like kings canyon it just means that every firefight summons 3+ people at your location
Only the movement part is unique to Apex, the rest is standard for Battle Royale, the whole genre is a contradiction that wants fast pace low commitment matches, but encourages camping with matches lasting half an hour or longer unless you drop in the designated popular zone with half the server and die

they took a deal with the devil by pandering to aim-assisted controller users in "competitive" play - by trying to capture the controller audience, they solidified the game's position as a non-competitive fps, which, is a market saturated entirely by call of dooty. if they instead focused becoming a competitive battle royale title, it absolutely would not have gone out with a wimpier like it has
the moment you saw almost everyone competitive player switch from mouse and keyboard to controllers should have been the wake up call to them, but it wasn't

I reinstalled yesterday, the servers are still shit, the fomo skins are still the only thing devs care about and they cost a shitload, queues take 5+ minutes, the playerbase actually got worse, everyone just camps.
Also ranked in apex is the worst system i've ever seen, it basically gives you a hidden mmr rating and drops you into a sbmm game, so you play against masters/apex predators despite being in Bronze which makes every fricking match sweaty as frick, that means that ranking up takes forever and your displayed rank is meaningless.
The ranked shit contributed to my quitting the game again. What's the point of ranks if I got kicked back to bronze but my game is filled with diamond+ players anyway?

also meta. easily best defensive legend and arguably the best rotation legend with how open some of the maps can be. Valk was heavily nerfed, wraith can be killed while using ult and her speed up is useless if a bullet hits you, octane jump pad was heavily nerfed and you don't get much height out of it unless you want to float in the air getting beamed, ash's ult is janky and doesn't go far enough. really only "rotation" legend that competes is maybe bangalore

I quit apex around S7. Shit just got way to sweaty, no longer was just a fun game to play with friends. It was something that was genuinely annoying to play when every gunfight is some gfuel addicted twitch tard spamming the R99 and deleting your entire squad in a minute.
