>why the sudden spam of these threads?
the tech they've been working on for like 4-6 years is now operational
this is what causing the game to take so long and now it's on servers and in testing
the the scam cit cultist are cooming so hard that they think they've won cause server meshing is working
so that's why the sudden spam anon, hopes that help.
it still needs testing, cause just like every other update scam cit does, something always breaks.
i don't play it but i have a mate who been playing it for years and tells us shit.
until chris sees a shiny new tech that he wants added then pushes the entire project back
Procedural planet generation was supposed to be post-launch, look at the game now they spent like 5-8 years on the tech alone
To actually answer your question there was a recent 2-day conference about the game where they talked about a bunch of shit. So it got put back into the spotlight
I never got Star Citizen
Let's say the game actually does come out, and it delivers on everything it promised, isn't the game incredibly pay to win? People have paid 10's of thousands of dollars for the best gear, the best ships the best weapons. How does Timmy in his starter ship compete against that on launch? Didn't they also confirm that you cannot permemently lose these paid for ships so you could endlessly respawn super carriers or whatever?
But you could just buy them outright with real world cash instantly, why would anyone play this game if I could just buy a better ship than you with irl money
TBF I havent kept up the last few years, but early in development Roberts did say that they didn't want a pay2win type of game. However backer rewards like lifetime insurance, which from what I remember, is a thing that makes it so you dont pay insurance on your ship is pay2win if you are being technical about it. So the question is in the air, the degree to which it will be pay2win. Just gotta wait and see. All the buying of ships and such was always meant to not have a huge impact at launch from what I understood.
I know Chris is walking away from this with millions of dollars but think of the low level devs who just get paid a wage and not a percentage of backer money: after this trainwreck, they will never, ever be hired by anyone ever again.
they spent all this time developing a fricking engine instead of making the actual game, so all the original problems still exist >gunplay and shooting combat sucks ass >ships handle like ass >dogfighting isn't fun, arguably even worse with "muh realism" muted space sounds >buggy animations and interactions >giant procedurally generated empty planets >p2w ships >all their ship artists left for a NFT scam >ground vehicles and ground support planes in a SPACE game

its feature complete which means its basically finished and awaiting release
it still needs testing, cause just like every other update scam cit does, something always breaks.

Just like Theatres of War was complete, just some minor bug fixes and then it'll launch, 2 more weeks! It's been 3 and a half years since that claim.
not even close, that's before even alpha
how the frick is it before alpha when its more complete than SC which is alpha, you idiot
one is playable, the other isn't
both are playable
care to point to a download of SQ42?
its playable for them so its playable
I used to follow this since 2012, if you haven't learnt that everything they say is bullshit you must be moronic

you can earn big ships by making money in game
But you could just buy them outright with real world cash instantly, why would anyone play this game if I could just buy a better ship than you with irl money
the game is rife with price hikes, p2w and fomo mechanics (unlimited insurance but only if you preorder lol) and it's not even out yet

I don't know who this is but he looks like a complete homosexual and so are you for making me see his gay face
FlopCitizen is truly a cult of severely deluded people. I can't. Just 2 more weeks and the game is out!!!
I know Chris is walking away from this with millions of dollars but think of the low level devs who just get paid a wage and not a percentage of backer money: after this trainwreck, they will never, ever be hired by anyone ever again.
I love this game. Let's me be a pirate in a lot of ways. And so far I haven't been banned for saying... uh, certain things.
>hyenas cancelled
>starfield flopped
>Star Citizen is happening
we entered the perfect timeline

The amount of cultists in asmongoloids youtube vid about Squadron 42 is fricking insane.
