>better than SR1/2/4/2022 >makes nostalgia gays seethe eternally
SR franchise is trash, this just embraced that fact and made it fun
shame the new one doesnt improve on jack shit and went full woke
SR2 vs SR3 reminds me of San Andreas vs GTA IV.
Sure, the sequels are 'better games', but to the people that actually played the games, they understand why the previous games are superior in spite of the improvements made between the two.
Only things SR3 did that were objectively better were on foot and air vehicle controls (and you can switch to the shitty SR2 style helicopter controls if you wanted). Everything else was a downgrade. I rather have the SR2 character models back than everybody looking like cartoonish clay figures starting with SR3.
Any open world that doesn't have a dynamic day night cycle deserve to go into the trash anyway, removing the clothing options, side activities, the ability to replay missions and overall just removing tons of content make SR3 dumpster fire tier.
GTAIV is shit too but it's a bit less insulting
Is there ever even a point to changing the eyeball size when making them bigger makes it anime and making the eyes smaller on a girl anyway turns them into boomer tranners
>lol no
2 is universally acclaimed for its soundtrack and 4 is basically a directors cut of 3. I'm happy you enjoyed 3's music but, your enjoyment =/= 10/10 songs.
>SR1
Mediocre GTA clone with a kino story shame we didn't get the original whodunit ending >SR2
Perfect mix of comedy and drama >SR3
They put in way to much early 2010s party culture but it's fun to dick around in >SR4
Gets boring quickly but the dlc missions are fun plus it has Roddy Piper and the fight scene from "They Live" >Nu Saints Row
Not saints row
Don't play it
>They put in way to much early 2010s party culture
SR3 is such a product of its time that it's not even funny. It's like they actually thought the SORRY FOR PARTY ROCKING era was going to last forever, when in reality it fizzled out probably early 2012 after the game released.
I guess so, I had a little fun but 2011-14 were the lost years for me. The early 2010s and late 2010s are such radically different eras that it almost feels like they didn't even take place on the same plane of existence.
It goes like this: 2007-2014 are the late millenial era, a decade on it's own. 2016 onward is the zoomer era. 2015 is the shaky year with elements from both.
Sounds about right. I've always hated late millennial homosexualry (as a 1992 late millennial) but I noticed when media very abruptly started marketing to a demographic of young people that was suddenly not me. It started happening around 2016-17.

Yup 1993 here and that's also when i notoced that "styles" on everything had changed from what it was pretty much from 2007 to 2014 when i was younger.
completely false
2010's started in 2009, with skinny jeans, iphones becoming mainstream, recession, NBA talent turnover (no more Iverson, it's derek rose now) etc etc
"good" 2010's years were 2009-2011 inclusive with 2016 being good too, 2014, 2015 were the worst years ever in everything
Her character in 2 was just absurd, but I mean there's nothing in 2 that isn't absurd so it works. 3 Shaundi just feels like she has no personality outside of being a c**t.
>said it would be 'technically very hard' to add mission replay to SR3 when pestered about it back then >meanwhile SR2 handled it just fine >"technically very hard" to have a true day/night cycle >meanwhile SR2 handled it just fine >"technically very hard" to have layered clothing >meanwhile SR handled it just fine >"technically very hard" to being able to manually switch between normal guns or duel wielding >meanwhile SR handled it just fine
Will be hilarious if the reboot still has all these missing features that SR2 had back in 2008.
>>"technically very hard" to being able to manually switch between normal guns or duel wielding
SR handled it just fine
My memory is foggy about that. How do you do it?
You just switch weapons as there were single and duel wield versions.
Why SR3 couldn't even do something like that is a mystery.
Then again SR3/4 are programmed so badly their excuse why you couldn't take most DLC weapons/vehicles into the normal game was due to the game not being able to handle new entities which is why you only got mostly car/gun reskins from them instead of things that actually functioned different like the Bee Gun from the Clone DLC.
Actually I meant "SR2 handled it just fine for duel wielding" as I can't even remember if SR1 had that at all. Didn't notice I forgot to include the 2 on the last few points.
Apologize for what?
SR3 was the best Saints Row for me, since SR2 runs like shit on PC so I never really played it
I liked the SR3 humor.
SR4 was meh though, powers were fun, but that's about it...
dull game that killed the franchise
Thank God IV and GooH came to fix the mess this shit caused
cringe opinion, they should have dialed back the LE RANDUMB XD shit from the beginning. Still worried about the reboot being too silly.
>Still worried about the reboot being too silly.
Have you not seen the videos homie? It's silly in another way now.
keyed
SR4 was where franchise jumped shark, finishing process started by SR3
4 doesn’t feel like saints row but it’s a whole lotta better game than 3
IV is shit
bump
I made a thread a few days ago with 0 replies. Is 3 worth playing on PC? I have the original, not the remaster.
If you don’t care for the previous game, or story it’s a decent mindless game that’s pretty short. This is coming from someone who hates the game.
Never, this game brought the franchise to where it is now. It’s the Batman forever of the series.
I THINK STEELPORT SUCKS
I never realized this game didn't have a day/night cycle until years later.
This game was worse than Saints Row 4.
said a gay
third is the best in the franchise unless you are a zoom zoom and want to never ever be killed like some capeshit

GTA 4 have similar problem to SR3 but it went to far in opposite direction

SR2 was the last good SR game. And it will never get patched.
Sha(wt)undy
Frick no, game killed the franchise.
SR2>SR1>>>>SR4>>>>>>>>>>>>>SR3
This is objective

Always loved this game. Boomergays can continue to dilate.

I shant.

Ummm ACSHULY the early 2010's party culture lasted until the end of the summer of 2014.
I guess so, I had a little fun but 2011-14 were the lost years for me. The early 2010s and late 2010s are such radically different eras that it almost feels like they didn't even take place on the same plane of existence.

>caring about the nba
Zoomer spotted.
Not him but sportsball was still mildly interesting back then. It was the only time I bothered to pay attention to the NBA.
Is the remaster worth buying if I own the orignal?
Not really it's the same game absolutely zero gameplay changes
just grab a free gog version if you want to try it
played it recently
cons:
runs like shit
constant crashing
doesnt support borderless
hardest mode is too easy
pros:
multiplayer campaign
the type of fun that would be canceled on the spot by twitter wokism
was fun to play with a friend if you can handle the bugs and crashes
>the type of fun that would be canceled on the spot by twitter wokism
I don't need to. I always liked SR3.
why, i always liked 3
2>3>1>4>Gat
some of my favorite games
It is pure coomer kino
i miss fun shaundi

not a chance
release the saints row 2 patch
rip my white homie idolninja
the saints row 2 patch
never ever
No, it was fricking awful
What happened to the SR2 pc port? I know one of the two guys working on it died but there hasn't been any updates since then.
According to Volition, it's still being worked on. I have my doubts, but we'll see.
He was the only one there that actually cared about it.
Notice the almost total radio silence about it after he died.
Never, was my first and last pre-order
Kino and better than SR2 even if shills bawww about it.

Thanks, I gotta try that.

And SR3 defenders act like only change of tone is what people have problem with this game
