Im having a hard time with the gun play. Everyone is bouncing around going nuts and I feel like im lucky if i hit them. Is there a trick to aiming?
it's a hardcore aimer game.... the sniper and m4 are the only good weapons it seems.... i wish there were more NA servers not shit was going on earlier maybe tonight some will start up?? What u guys got key binds as? thats the hardest part man i wanna set up sniper more its annoying being scoped in... game is cool but super basic and super twitchy aim based
the trick is to place crosshair on opponent and left click
aside from that its like cs, crouching and moving less makes your aim tighter
sniper might be on the dot as long as youre scoped? hard to tell with the shit netcode and massive hitboxes
oh and weapon modes are a thing too
m4 is the only important one since burst fire mode seems more accurate at long range
smg also has burst but if you picked smg you probably shouldnt be picking off people from afar
sawnoff has the choice to fire only one of two shells but with how volatile everything is if you miss the one youll die before landing the second
pistol has an automatic mode which has the exact same rate of fire and accuracy as semi auto so preference i guess

it's not dumbed down and slow as frick... basically plays very similar to beta/retail cs... after CS went retail and valve took control they casualized the game which in turn made it extremely popular and brought a lot more money in.

Here's a general tip that might help a little
Get used to aiming with your keyboard
Point your mouse at their general altitude then strafe them into your crosshairs and fire when theyre below the crosshairs
my PC can't run it (no graphics gard)
Sort to using your iGPU. and if you have no GPU, then you don't have video either. all you're gonna see is a black screen.
Quake 2 has a software renderer.

holy shit the netcode is from the 90s, server authorative means you cannot play with a ping above 40.
this is actually really good. movement is smooth and it actually runs well on my m1 mac. community is super chill.

What are good keybinds to use? Bunny hopping seems super weird, seems like scroll wheel isn't required?
Sort of enjoying it but feel like I'm getting rekt by first bullet inaccuracy a lot, feels a bit random
there is no bunny hopping in this game. its not quake 1 its quake 2. get good at sniper sniper is op and most skilled weapon.. use keybinds to drop ur gun and switch to kn ife/drop gun switch to pistol

I feel like this game and DDay would be a lot more tactical if you werent able to bhop around like a maniac, it ends becoming more about agility that tactical thinking. Their slower variants like CSGO and Day of Infamy are far superior when it comes to team gameplay and positioning
