Nice graphic, the PC client runs pretty smooth too so they clearly put efforts to make the game presentable. Gameplay is your typical TRPG so there isn't much to say here.
Though the gacha system is quite iffy with both characters and equipment gacha, and the bullshit "your guaranteed SSR has 50% chance to be off banner" they obviously lifted from Genshin.
honestly liking the game so far, it feels pretty polished from what i've seen. the gameplay isn't anything innovative by any means but it works well and scratches an itch for me that feh nor alchemy stars were able to do for me. too early to say how the generous the game is with gacha currency but having weapon gachas always make me feel uneasy. ssr characters have their own "signature weapons" too but at least there's a banner where you can pick which one you want to have on rate up when you roll for weps so it's basically the same system as pgr.

Good enough til I guess when enemies start to have YuGiOh walls of text. The feats might be an issue too .Story is wonky but you can get the jist of it - but for regular UI it's enough if you had experience with Langrisser.
KR forum say the game has some kind of hidden ceiling at 40 and 70 rolls that doesn't get mentioned anywhere in the gacha page, though I haven't gotten enough rolls to see how it works.
Ceiling? If I recall in Lang you were guaranteed a SSR on your first 40 / 70 pulls on your account I think. Its been a while so I might be wrong on that.
It's fine, I'll be watching the news but I already play some pretty grindy gachas. This one was mostly on my radar for looking good and being turn-based because 3D games tend to put me off (See Genshin). FWIW I do agree though that Zlong needs to review player feedback because extremely grindy games such as these need to be more generous with stamina at minimum.
Does anyone have a similar issue on this? I only have 7/8 battles in Episode V, the last one is ??? but I have already cleared Episode VI. Did I miss a quest somewhere or is there some branching paths in one of the quest?

I invested everything into him and he has carried me through every stage, and solos PvP matches.
I think they did a pretty good job with the character models and animations, but I hope they tone down the costume designs a bit, quite a few of them look too overdesigned or flamboyant.
Idk why some think gacha is stingy. You don't need dupes in this game. Day 5 and already did 10 for Nola (starting banner), 20 for Charlotte (got her), 20 for Richard (got him), 20 for Charlotte's EX (got it), 20 in Richard's EX (didn't get yet) and 20 in Erica (didn't get her yet) though probably should've waited for Claphare or whatever bootleg Liana is called here.

I'm 80 rolls into Charlotte's banner without any SSR, so one more tenner and I'll hit pity and it is highly likely to be not her since it's only 30% chance of getting the rate up. I'm also player level 21 right now.
There's a rumor about having 2 guaranteed SSRs within 110 rolls, one at 40th rolls and another at the next 70th rolls for new accounts, but I aren't sure if it's real or not. apparently it's a same system they have for the Langrisser mobage.
Doesn't seem true here if I didn't get any SSR from Charlotte's banner 80 roll in. This is the only banner I have been rolling on other than the starter guarantee one.

asiatics probably don't like SRPG that much. Langrisser which is also by Zhlong only has around 3k subs and that game has been out much longer.

My Charlotte could solo it with healer support, but it's mostly because it's a red boss, if they start jumping to level 50-60 then even her would get shat on by any green mobs, I don't know if they want people to roll for Atum or something, Clarice damage is too garbage for a supposedly glass cannon to carry the team,
Warrior class as her weapon suggested, has unique skill animations and all but no voice so she probably isn't coming anytime soon.
Thanks god the event capped at level 40 but at the same time it feels almost impossible if you don't have Charlotte to do all the heavy lifting.
They probably ramp up the speed for global server, since by then they should have enough contents to play catch up instead of dragging their feet like this.

I think you only get 2 runs per day, and it's only 1 week long so I doubt they even expect you to be able to clear the shop. It's probably one of those filler events that would get rerun frequently.

Well upgrade mats are not that needed bc you have expeditions and they are upgraded the further you level up expedition maps.
Glyhps are the same late game as genshit artifacts, tons of farming and random stats, but no need to grind for them now above daily requirements. Only when you will be guaranteed to get ssr rarity.
Roguelike shit is not that often, but I guess it's a waste for green keys to overflow.
Class trainings are needed 100%. If you have spare stamina, I guess that's the best investment.
Random map encounters are kinda meh at least for now. Langrisser periodically got the hardest one with gave crystals but here I don't see them. So do only 1 for daily.
Well that I guess can narrow activities a bit.

I actually like the overall structure of the story (three sisters who take power but get krumped because of their machinations and shortcomings which left them open to conspiracies from both within and abroad) but you basically show up and things immediately go to shit. That kind of story needs some buildup badly.
Doesn't matter because even though my ability to read asiatic (and this shit is a mediocre translation) is not the best the story is obviously setting up for some reincarnation or cycle dogshit.

Is Alicia the better PVE healer compared to Claphare? Alicia seems to be giving more buffs that I assume will be way more helpful than a second turn on a 2t CD.
Alicia is a better healer for auto with 2 AOE heal, post battle regen and debuff remover, Claphare is more useful for manual play when you can make a better use of her re action buff.
i only have claphare and she works fine for me shes usually giving charlotte or nola a second turn

I see, I'm starting to have alot of trouble with the Lv40 material and rune stages now that the bosses are hitting like a truck even with an element advantage. Was wondering if Alicia's buffs would help better in those cases.
Why am I so fricking weak? I don't get it. I'm lvl 35, learned all the skills I can, got a few good SSR weapons and armor which I put on my characters and leveled to 35, im using at least gold relics with some leveled up platinum ones, yet its still a huge struggle trying to win a battle against equivalent level enemies.
Difficulty spikes at level 35 since they begin to take into account of stuff like leader skill, rune upgrades and what not, you will have to abuse buff and debuff to get by.
Also some stages have extremely bullshit enemies even if they are the same level as ones from other stages, since they may get ton of buff from events.
You kinda don't want to press on one element that early. For element-specific contents 1-2 units are usually enough given they are properly upgraded. For your core 5 units better fill as many niches as possible.
I believe light characters just have lower base stats to compensate
Yep and darkies get a ton instead only by having 1 vulnerability to the element that's mostly consisted of healbawds. Peawiener that's in the banner rn has S rank on HP, Phys Atk, Phys Def and Concentration.

Enjard is light so it sucks by default stat-wise. Richard skip was kinda bad, idk why he wasn't hyped more, he's just a beast, not only by retaliating from 2 squares, but by having 2 stuns and displacements at the beginning of the game
Most people blew their load on Charlotte/Erica/Claphare in quick succession so unless you are a whale or an autist reroller, rolling for a tank isn't really a top priority at the start of the game.
Bad for them I guess. Could replace Erica by him. The game gave quite a lot of story hints regarding of how busted he is. No other character has 2 stuns right at the start of the game, with 2nd stun potentially hitting 4 targets and carrying in pvp. Not even mentioning 2 square retaliation.

Accessory for sure, but I aren't sure about weapon, bunch of them seem to be worse than max lb SR weapons, it would take a while for F2P players to mlb those SSR weapons, not to mention your most important SSR characters would prefer using their exclusive over generic ones later.
Gabriel seems like a decent tank to mitigate Magic DMG. Also has a pretty usable Leader Skill needing an Assassin and Mage to activate.
Semi on the other hand seems pretty skippable unless she's your waifu. She can apply a debuff that causes the first attack of the enemy to miss and it can't be remove. This seems to be her other highlight apart from her character passive resetting skill cooldowns on kill.

Is it better to use rank 1 SSR armor or max rank SR armor? I know SR max rank has higher stats but it feels bad to invest resources into something thats only temporary.
It changes with your team composition and what activity you're doing. In some content (like the Lightning advantage bosses for relic and equip) I use up to 3 characters that are warrior/knights. In this case, I have 2 max rank SR armors and the SSR armor from this event for them.

She's mediocre at best, even with her exclusive weapon. She's only good at picking off weakened mobs or getting loots, which honestly could be done by any assassin character.
Ibn is an assassin with a warrior kit for some moronic reason, he simply isn't built for hit and run, it's not like Clarice could survive if she get ganged on by multiple mobs at once either. And I think the passive skill that gives her bonus damage against Ignite enemies got replaced with a magic damage reduction passive, which destroyed her synergy with her own exclusive weapon.

That's the point dude, the game has tons of niches each character can be used in, and there are a lot of niches even the most op units won't perform well in. So apart from rarities I've yet to find a real "dogshit" SSR unit here.
She isn't rated highly in the asiatic forum since there's almost no content requires you to have a dedicated magic tank right now. Even in PVP you rarely see any mage comps, almost all the time it's always Charlotte and her entourage.
So unless you like her, she's quite skippable for now.
Belet has insane stats, she already outstrips all SR tanks and probably most SSR tanks later when she grows into a SSR.
I've already been using her, but I need something for the water rune boss. I tried using MC and Charlotte as a pseudo tank and they got blown the frick out.

Gabriel is more of a magic tank, she might not be that good against phys. Richard would be much better here.
I would skip Claphare's, her weapon isn't that impressive, so it's your pick between Semi or Gabriel, but since they have been raining down SSR daggers for free from events, Semi could just cope with one of them.
Guys, you can only invite 4 friends for the invite-a-friend event so make sure you don't paste your referral link on some random site hoping people use it.
Takes about 30minutes per run if you do it on your own, so 2 hours for 20 chara rolls is pretty worth it.

I don't understand asiatic but how bad is the translation and dubbing for this game? All of them say that the translation is so bad that they can't understand what's going on in the story, and half of the complaints about Gabriel is about her awful voice, which makes them want to turn the sound off. It's kinda hilarious that they were asking if this game is getting Jap release so they can switch to Jap voice later.
I mean it's MTL with some little hand-made edits of some terminology and names, what can you expect. Idk about voices, seems ok for me, and I wouldn't go global to grind all shit again just for jap voice, but I hope kr will have offiicial english text at least.
No. I don't mean the crappy unofficial MTL English patch, the Korean translation itself is very bad, that's what the asiatic players have been complaining in the forum, they were even laughing at the VAs having to read such awful script. The game may launch in Korean language first but it's still a chink game, so the script was obviously in Chinese first.
I know that the game is chink but I didn't think they'll be that moronic not to hire korean writers or at least proofreaders. Well, at least that explains that even english mtl sucks ass, when usually it works pretty well with asian languages.

Langrisser indeed had barely comprehensible MTL at release. They switched to a legit schizo redditor from the community for a while after that, the translation became sensible at that point but he also put cringe ass memes everywhere. After the guy had a mental breakdown, they hired some actual chink sweatshop translator who does an okay job with translation. There's absolutely zero proofreading but everything makes sense, the real important stuff like skills is translated with some care, and occassionaly they even put some care into a few individual bits.
I would also expect them to put more effort into the global release than they did with Langrisser, which was their first global release IIRC. Archeland seems to be their big thing, they basically remade Kalpa of the Universe with a way bigger budget and what they consider to be a setting with a greater worldwide appeal to make a mark on the international stage. No idea what is going on with the asiatic release but it would be completely idiotic if they blew all of that investment to save a few dollars on translation.

asiatic is quite populated. We'll see when the dust settles, but they shouldn't take too long for global not to lose the momentum, or they'll need more marketing to retain the attention.
I guess ppl will say that about any new banner eh. Semi didn't feel that op in event stories, while Gabri feels pretty comfy (though she has the same problem as almost any tank except Richard which is a time gap when she doesn't have 2-square guard).
I don't think anyone said the same for Gabriel. She was underwhelming in all aspects. Semi was mentioned previously if she kept her Kalpa kit, which she didn't here so she's at best a PvE dealer for greens here. However, MC is going to be doing a better job at that than her at 55.
Well at least she's light, her only problem is guard gap and relatively low pdef. Atk is somewhat good bc of conversion. And debuff shield is neat. Not the best for all situations but quite a worthy pull for those who only have 1 main tank.
And yeah it's good starter characters are really strong late game. Although idk what exactly will make them that strong.
MC needs his level 55 passive skill to become good, but since lighting doesn't really have a lot of good damage dealer for now you will have to stick with him for a while.
Belet only needs her level 45 passive, combines with her huge stats making her one of the best tank in game even at SR.
Avia is probably your best single target healer/buffer atm, assuming you didn't roll for Claphare.

Idk Capet does fine for me, crits rather often, has both magic and phys attacks, buffs atk.

People metacuck way too hard in this game. The difference between SSR damage dealers is ~150 attack at most. 99% of abilities deal standardized 1.5x damage, maybe 1.6x for an ultimate. People call Capet "bottom tier" or "dogshit" but there's literally nothing wrong with her, at most she's doing like 5% less damage than a supposed "top-tier". Hell, Capet actually has more attack than Semi.

People call Capet "bottom tier" because her direct comparison is with the MC. If you wanna compare Capet to Semi, look at their skills and you'll realise she's still weaker than Semi. Semi's character passive alone is leagues ahead of Capet, ontop of her buff skill that grants an additional turn and debuffing the enemy makes her a better combatant than Capet as well.

What's the point in that if one of those 2 turns can't be attacking? It's just covering more distance. Might as well just have a usual attack skill which gives 1 dodge pre-battle. And distance-wise there is still Clarice who also ggts dodge after dash.

What? That skill opens her up to being able to dive into a pack of 2 or 3, marking one, and killing another outright and only taking 1 hit out of the pack. On bosses, it's a straight up advantage that lets her hit harder, evades the first hit and remain at full hp. What content are you comparing her with Clarice with, you do know elemental advantage is a thing right? So far we had been keeping it in line with green/lightning characters, and now you're putting Clarice (a red/fire character) into the comparison.

Semi doesn't really do more damage than other characters. 20% more damage for 2 turns isnt that much better than a passive 10-15% damage boost that other characters have, and her attack is lower than every Warrior as well. She's still good because of her dodges, sure, but she doesn't really do more damage than your typical SSR attacker.

She does more than Capet in water rune (45) and armor material boss (45) for me. I have both characters equally invested other than Semi having her unique weapon and Capet using a max rank SR axe.

How long were the fights? Capet takes some time to ramp up her passive. There's also the issue where if you run the AoE attack buff on Capet, it will lower her personal damage.

People were looking too deep into her hybrid aspect instead of just ignoring her sub par magic build and just go with normal physical unga bunga build.
Also since she was given out for free there's obviously a lot of seething when people got spook by her in gacha.
So far semi actually outdamaging my charlotte with same rune setup, she bit squishy if she can't mark enemy
At very least gabriel have decent leader skill, and light make her bit versatile with no elemental weakness too
Referral event gives 20 pulls for free. I think they will keep that high income later. There's already a new dimension chapter which also means more gems and pulls. I t hink we're doing fine not to be too stressed about whether we should pull or save.

Yeah I get that, but an average of 1 character every 1.5 weeks is still ridiculously fast. Most gacha games do 1 character a month or twp. Like, even dolphins will have trouble getting characters if we keep up this pace.

no, but they can only tank 1 or 2 hits but you can use them to aoe 80% of their hp in a 2x2 which does around 1k at lvl 43 / inflict random debuffs and cover in a 2x2 like a traditional tank

The roguelike mode must be the worst way to spend your breads. Eat ton of breads for 1 run, annoying buff/debuff conditions, shit rewards after you got the first clear reward.
Boss has gigantic stats and my team simply can't do enough damage to it while it just 1 casually 1-2 shot my chars, even without those shitty ass gimmick they put on it, not having Semi certainly doesn't help either.
Are you at least level 45 with Lv20 runes on the atk pieces? That's preferably the minimum you should be attempting it at. You can even bring 5 DPS if they can all survive a counter hit and rely on the boss healing you at every 25% done from his gimmick.
I did it with Claphare, MC, Capet, Charlotte and Lina at 45 with Lv20 runes on 1 and 4 for the DPSers. Lina was the trickiest to survive a counter hit on since she's so squishy as a mage, I had to swap a HP/DEF accessory to her instead of her usual MATK one.
Looking over the class academy thing, looks like a bulk of the stat points are in there. The drop rates for the tier1 mat is so garbage and the lower levels need so many of it.
I really hate how events have limited entry per day but also consume huge chunk of breads when game already have shit ton of stuff to drain your breads, this is just overkill.

Why does double attack and extra attack get cancelled when you hit an opponent and they have a passive that gives them first strike? That's so dumb when half of these mooks have a passive that gives them first strike once a turn.

Dang, leaf modificator on Norda is hell. Especially since each time of day change also counts as a turn that contributes to leaf's cooldown. Barely did his 40 level core with 45 lvl team.
Runes stat gain seems to be all over the place, the 1st, 5th and 6th ones are probably the most important ones to level up, while the 4th ones have absolutely abysmal gain.
Yea I hope, summoner units in such games are usually quite op and can solve some problems which require more manpower than you can actually deploy. Hope twin mages are not that much stronger than her so it won't be that sad that I'll probably skip them

If you have a plan on which 2-3 units and 1-2 EXes to roll, you really don't need rerolling. Ofc you probably won't get something on 1st ten but you'll get them anyway. You kinda can't be satisfied with just 1 good unit like Charlotte, it's not that kind of game.

It seems to care more about your level than your CS, and I think it will match you with a bot if you have too many loses, so at least you could get 1 win for the weekly reward and just ignore it for now The ranking reward is insignificant anyway.
I don't care about rewards and I already saw bots, it's just the matching system itself that's raising some concerns already. I mean, there surely should be enough ppl to look for cs too, not just level. But idk about level as well, I got matched twice with dudes 5 levels higher. It can't be that there's too few ppl, in-game rankings say otherwise.
God upgraded alot of my runes from 15 to 20 today and I'm out of gold before I ran out of powder. At least my main team of charas are averaging 2600 power now with the damage runes at 20.

This is literally every game with a upgrading system. Once you reach a point you don't have to upgrade anything anymore, naturally you amass resource until the next material sink comes in.

Koreans complained so hard the devs caved and mentioned in the latest maintenance notes they will be giving 500k gold for now and coming up with a solution quickly for this.
They either have to reduce the amount of gold needed to upgrade stuff or increase the payout for various for various tasks in game. I don't know why they have this stupid gold sink in this early stage of the game, which completely frick over players progression.

You get character exclusive stones from leveling them, these stones are on the left in the talent tree window. Then you have all purpose stones that every character can use, these ones are on the right, you mostly get them from event reward or shop.
The main trio have their own unique stones so you don't have to worry about using them.

Do you get enough or do you have to make choices? Sounds like a one-way ticket to fricking up your character long-term if you cant get enough tof the "generic" stones
You should have enough to max out two characters with their own stones plus the generic ones for now, but for the rest you will have to pick which path you want to go (top or bottom), the middle path doesn't require any stones so it's usually the first path you have to max out first.
Eventually they will hand out enough stone but that will take a while.
Buy their pieces in friend shop, 10 pieces make 1 universal stone. We also get them from events. Ofc you won't be able to max all characters, but your key ones should have all branches upgraded, both for stats and for skill flexibility.
Is it fixed damage or percentage damage? Fixed damage isn't really worth it in a long run when everything will have their HP bloat to heaven.
Dunno how it is in Kalpa, but in Langrisser, fixed damage has a solid niche for enemies with hugely inflated stats and usually yields far better damage in AOE situations, while percentage fixed damage is a meme because, as in every fricking game, everything you'd want to use it on is immune.

Tower is probably non-stamina one-time thing and the cap is your power.

They are dragons of Langrisser. Without particular units devs had in mind to beat them they're quite an ass. Gladly everybody gets Charlotte which helps with probably the most important rune boss pretty easily

Always try to upgrade the middle path as far as you can since it doesn't require any skill stone.
Then pick the either top or bottom path, whichever has the level 45 skill you want to unlock first.
Depends on the skillset. Sometimes you want to unlock both 1st skills of each branch, and then go 1 of them to the end, but you won't be able to upgrade the last % stat upgrade (which gives a lot). Eventually tho every node should be upgraded. That's why it's recommended to buy out all 10 stone pieces per month in friendship shop.

Are Assassins (outside of Semi) dead weight or is it just me? I've tried using Clarice and Ibn but they can't even hit a boss without dying, and their damage isnt even better than a Warrior.
Except Semi because of her mark, assassins are pretty shit at fighting anything that they can't kill in 1-2 hits. And their damage isn't that great either if they can't crit reliably.
So yeah, they are quite a deadweight without heavy investments into equipment runes and academy upgrades to boost their stats.
They are suitable exactly for what their class name implies - picking off lone targets (and often having more resist/dmg/both for that) and reaching far and tough spots. I think its possible to level them up so they don't die in 1 hit at least, after that tanks and vampire runes will save them. Also dodges, though Ibn lacks any (he has 30% dmg res after his jump tho). And their dmg is ok, they crit more often. Clarice carried so many tough achievements like nobody could.
Also the fact that somebody can't even tank 1 hit from boss will be more and more common the further we go. Entire dances around bosses like in Langrisser when only 1-2 units can tank a hit, and others just have to either heal/buff or just wait until boss is stunned will be a routine soon if not already.
They give buff and debuff to whoever stand near it so challenge mode is about positioning your characters so they can get benefit from them, rather than just unga bunga like the daily.
Ye I know that. Some debuffs are just busted, especially fixed damage shit, which basically makes these barricades useless if you have more than 2 enemies attack your hero. Boulders are 1 time, only 1 cannon with long ass cds and for some reason also suffering from non-moving debuff (like duh, it can't move), oil doesn't do shit honestly. No wonder this challenge is only lv45 - even lv60 will not have ez time doing it.
I avoid picking anything with fixed damage, that shit is just gay, and 2nd most bullshit one is enemy archers immunity to melee damage, making them extremely hard to deal with since your mages will just melt in this mode. 40 was doable with my level 52 teams but I don't think I want to try 50 till I have a level 55 team or something. Most of the asiatic guides only go up to 40 clear so I think there aren't a lot people who can clear 50 yet.
Honestly I'd like to overcome debuffs like this, but when the game doesn't give comparable buffs and instead gives shit like "I'm gonna piss on you and you can choose what it will taste - lemon or strawberry" you kinda don't want to bother, at least past crucial rewards like pulls and gems

They fricked up pretty hard by giving long spear to assassin class, not only it doesn't make any sense, it also defaults all spear characters into that class.
To be fair, most of the pulls we have so far are from the devs fricking up or celebration events, the actual amount of pull currency we can get from game is pretty shit.
Dimensions are pretty good too, like at minimum you get 20 gems, but most of the time it's also 1 pull/30 gems/both for hard achievements and/or 1 pull/40 gems for pickup. That said I still can't do 5-4 hard (it's fricking bs) and still doing ch6 hard
Finally 1st ult skill unlocked. Too bad you can only get those crystals from hard 6 chapter, so you can't farm much, 1 ult per day of same color. Luckily 4 of my characters have yellow and 2 white crystals. Still have 4 reds tho, and that's 6-6 hard. Oof.
Gabriel low phys def is pretty bad for this job.
Saw a guide video using mostly range characters, or character with 2 range attacks to quickly kill the daughter, then chip the dad with range attacks.
Honestly if you kill daughter first the rest is quite ezpz, dad is mad af and doesn't even attack anybody on his path to marked character (who seems to be chosen based on % of total dealt to daughter, not on the fact of killing), so you just block him by other characters slowly chipping his hp out, and keeping the marked one away (with his 3-range spin in mind as well). So without that achievement when you kill him first, the stage is quite easily perfected.
What opens up at 60? I'm only 55 and I've been playing since launch. Good thing the dailies rotation is so quick on this and they've added sweep to dog island so that's even gonna be quicker.
2 new modes in Aris Mamul hard section. But more importantly, we finally get a breath of fresh air and can chill gradually upgrading equips traits and runes until the eventual cap, and then can start saving resources for any new character we might pull.
The new Dog Isle is pretty nice, just pure unga bunga unlike the previous ones with all the shitty gimmick you have to clear. Also 3 skip per day plus 2 normal entries make it much faster to grind the tokens.
We probably get 1 more tier next month and that would be it for this mode, unless they begin to throw level 60+ missions at us.
New tier on normal also has ssr equips that you have a chance to get, but only once. And they have their copies in the shop, so easy 4 rank from the start for them.
Respect level of expedition map gives expeditions on rune sets, 1st map gives sword wand and ouroboros sets. Dunno if you get all 6 or just some random ones. But it's really pleasant surprise since you need so much powder to make lv20 runes it's not even funny.
I have 260k+ and 87 packs of 3k gold for event not yet bought. But yeah it was much more before I pressed on lategame trait nodes and leveling main runes to 20. Omw there rn. Expeditions don't have gold except 1 daily so it's not like there's a choice anyway
Not really, the overall gold income from all sources are still the same, they only have gold as exchangeable item from shadow tower as a new temporary source, and they added 1 more zero for gold from login bonuses, which is way too slow to have any real effect.
Completely dried so I probably won't roll anything this patch, and I still have trouble raising my new characters due to how fricking awkward the material grind is.

Seems like Jin can preemptively attack even at range (shown only on 2 tiles, idk about 3 or more). Also has poison and some no-damage skill that either slows by 3 or stops from moving completely.
Doesn't seem to be that great in PVE but hot dam he's going to be cancerous as frick to fight against in PVP.
He wasn't that great in Kalpa PvP, and he should be even worse here since Semi is Wind instead of Fire. I'd recommend skipping him unless you really like his design or really need his leader skill.
From chink forum leak, seems his unique passive have unlimited first attack if you maxed him at rank 9, still gonna see if he have same leader skill as kalpa or not

This is Kalpa's tier list from around the same time period as we are in now in Archeland. Jin is the brown hair bushy eyebrow guy in S tier, and Marg is the silver hair lady also in S tier.
You need to build your team around them or they won't be able to stun turn 1. They also need to be at rank 9 to become really good at debuffing. They're basically the same as in Kalpa, I think the only difference is their teleport was nerfed slightly.
I don't mind the single oversized pauldron they slap on characters if the other aesthetics check my boxes. This one definitely does with the booba and thighs.

I am a top 100 ranked Sieg and he is legit the best character in the game for PvE. He can solo bosses when buffed. He's nothing special in PvP, though.
On the other hand I haven't seen any Siegs that were as much invested as Harlotte, with close to 3k atk and over 1k defs. Bc everybody invests into her first. I'm sure equally geared Semi eats Harlottes on breakfast all the same, but I don't see it that often.

An invested Sieg can tank a couple hits from Charlotte. He won't win in a 1v1, but he can tank her two-turn combo, then oneshot a squishy and lifesteal off that.
How important is Erica's unique weapon? Is she perfectly serviceable with just the SR or does the +1 range given by the unique weapon's effect actually make her busted?
The +1 range makes her able to attack bosses and other enemies without being counterattacked. With it she's busted, without it she is just a generic, middle of the road archer.
You have to let him steal your buffs. I can't clear it either though, I think you need very specific characters, Capet being one of them. I can't brute force it with 24k power.
The boss's unique mechanic is that you need to make him steal 2+ buffs each turn. This gives him a stack of buff that increases his atk, and it stacks up to 5 times I think. When he reaches max stacks, the stacks are removed and he is given a -50% Def debuff and not able to gain stacks for 2 turns.
You have to let him steal your buffs. I can't clear it either though, I think you need very specific characters, Capet being one of them. I can't brute force it with 24k power.
I managed to clear this fight by using Alicia and Gabriel, pumping the buffs onto Gabriel so he steals it on single hits, and move Gabriel away when his AoE targets her (it always target the highest defence). The other characters I used were Charlotte, Erika, Lina and MC. Charlotte and Lina are R6 while the other SSRs are just R3.
Characters with pollution debuff (Hassan, twins) are quite useful against this boss, let it steal your buffs first to give itself the def debuff, then gang on it, if you can't burst down the boss quickly then cast pollution debuff to give yourself 2 extra turns to finish it off before it can steal your buffs again.

Nice graphic, the PC client runs pretty smooth too so they clearly put efforts to make the game presentable. Gameplay is your typical TRPG so there isn't much to say here.
Though the gacha system is quite iffy with both characters and equipment gacha, and the bullshit "your guaranteed SSR has 50% chance to be off banner" they obviously lifted from Genshin.
honestly liking the game so far, it feels pretty polished from what i've seen. the gameplay isn't anything innovative by any means but it works well and scratches an itch for me that feh nor alchemy stars were able to do for me. too early to say how the generous the game is with gacha currency but having weapon gachas always make me feel uneasy. ssr characters have their own "signature weapons" too but at least there's a banner where you can pick which one you want to have on rate up when you roll for weps so it's basically the same system as pgr.

Good enough til I guess when enemies start to have YuGiOh walls of text. The feats might be an issue too .Story is wonky but you can get the jist of it - but for regular UI it's enough if you had experience with Langrisser.
KR forum say the game has some kind of hidden ceiling at 40 and 70 rolls that doesn't get mentioned anywhere in the gacha page, though I haven't gotten enough rolls to see how it works.

It's fine, I'll be watching the news but I already play some pretty grindy gachas. This one was mostly on my radar for looking good and being turn-based because 3D games tend to put me off (See Genshin). FWIW I do agree though that Zlong needs to review player feedback because extremely grindy games such as these need to be more generous with stamina at minimum.

The way they designed the dailies is absolutely moronic too, the more functions you unlocked, the more tasks get added into daily list and you have to finish them all for the daily gem.

I think you only get 2 runs per day, and it's only 1 week long so I doubt they even expect you to be able to clear the shop. It's probably one of those filler events that would get rerun frequently.

Well upgrade mats are not that needed bc you have expeditions and they are upgraded the further you level up expedition maps.
Glyhps are the same late game as genshit artifacts, tons of farming and random stats, but no need to grind for them now above daily requirements. Only when you will be guaranteed to get ssr rarity.
Roguelike shit is not that often, but I guess it's a waste for green keys to overflow.
Class trainings are needed 100%. If you have spare stamina, I guess that's the best investment.
Random map encounters are kinda meh at least for now. Langrisser periodically got the hardest one with gave crystals but here I don't see them. So do only 1 for daily.

Is Alicia the better PVE healer compared to Claphare? Alicia seems to be giving more buffs that I assume will be way more helpful than a second turn on a 2t CD.
Alicia is a better healer for auto with 2 AOE heal, post battle regen and debuff remover, Claphare is more useful for manual play when you can make a better use of her re action buff.
I see, I'm starting to have alot of trouble with the Lv40 material and rune stages now that the bosses are hitting like a truck even with an element advantage. Was wondering if Alicia's buffs would help better in those cases.
Raise characters with leader skill should help a bit, MC is a common pick for this role.

Why am I so fricking weak? I don't get it. I'm lvl 35, learned all the skills I can, got a few good SSR weapons and armor which I put on my characters and leveled to 35, im using at least gold relics with some leveled up platinum ones, yet its still a huge struggle trying to win a battle against equivalent level enemies.
Difficulty spikes at level 35 since they begin to take into account of stuff like leader skill, rune upgrades and what not, you will have to abuse buff and debuff to get by.
Also some stages have extremely bullshit enemies even if they are the same level as ones from other stages, since they may get ton of buff from events.

You kinda don't want to press on one element that early. For element-specific contents 1-2 units are usually enough given they are properly upgraded. For your core 5 units better fill as many niches as possible.

It's just their way of showing how much more a stat increases per level and rank up.
What does increasing Concentration actually do? Noticed there are relics on the 5th slot that has that as the secondary stat.
If it's the same as in Langrisser, it increases crit rate.

Enjard is light so it sucks by default stat-wise. Richard skip was kinda bad, idk why he wasn't hyped more, he's just a beast, not only by retaliating from 2 squares, but by having 2 stuns and displacements at the beginning of the game
Most people blew their load on Charlotte/Erica/Claphare in quick succession so unless you are a whale or an autist reroller, rolling for a tank isn't really a top priority at the start of the game.
Bad for them I guess. Could replace Erica by him. The game gave quite a lot of story hints regarding of how busted he is. No other character has 2 stuns right at the start of the game, with 2nd stun potentially hitting 4 targets and carrying in pvp. Not even mentioning 2 square retaliation.

Accessory for sure, but I aren't sure about weapon, bunch of them seem to be worse than max lb SR weapons, it would take a while for F2P players to mlb those SSR weapons, not to mention your most important SSR characters would prefer using their exclusive over generic ones later.

Gabriel seems like a decent tank to mitigate Magic DMG. Also has a pretty usable Leader Skill needing an Assassin and Mage to activate.
Semi on the other hand seems pretty skippable unless she's your waifu. She can apply a debuff that causes the first attack of the enemy to miss and it can't be remove. This seems to be her other highlight apart from her character passive resetting skill cooldowns on kill.

Is it better to use rank 1 SSR armor or max rank SR armor? I know SR max rank has higher stats but it feels bad to invest resources into something thats only temporary.
Depend on the bonus, like the current SSR armor you can exchange from the dog island map has garbage option so I just use a mlb SR armor over it.
It changes with your team composition and what activity you're doing. In some content (like the Lightning advantage bosses for relic and equip) I use up to 3 characters that are warrior/knights. In this case, I have 2 max rank SR armors and the SSR armor from this event for them.

Oh ffs do we start all that shit again with "if it's not strong like a sole absurdly overpowered unit everybody has then it's dogshit"? She's good with her EX, and yeah, easily solves that looting or "reach that square" problems. Also a lot of dodges.
She's mediocre at best, even with her exclusive weapon. She's only good at picking off weakened mobs or getting loots, which honestly could be done by any assassin character.
I'll gladly look at Ibn picking off sole targets and then get dumpstered without dodges and secondary moves.
Ibn is an assassin with a warrior kit for some moronic reason, he simply isn't built for hit and run, it's not like Clarice could survive if she get ganged on by multiple mobs at once either. And I think the passive skill that gives her bonus damage against Ignite enemies got replaced with a magic damage reduction passive, which destroyed her synergy with her own exclusive weapon.

That's the point dude, the game has tons of niches each character can be used in, and there are a lot of niches even the most op units won't perform well in. So apart from rarities I've yet to find a real "dogshit" SSR unit here.

Gabriel is more of a magic tank than physical tank, her magic defense is off the chart but her physical defense is just so so.
That means she's more of a counterpick in PvP for specific mage comps right? I don't remember any bosses in PVE content that does only magic damage.
She isn't rated highly in the asiatic forum since there's almost no content requires you to have a dedicated magic tank right now. Even in PVP you rarely see any mage comps, almost all the time it's always Charlotte and her entourage.
So unless you like her, she's quite skippable for now.
I refuse to use any males besides the MC so I'm rolling her.
Belet is a girl and will probably be a better tank in general against anything that isn't a Dark boss or a group of mages.
Belet has insane stats, she already outstrips all SR tanks and probably most SSR tanks later when she grows into a SSR.
I've already been using her, but I need something for the water rune boss. I tried using MC and Charlotte as a pseudo tank and they got blown the frick out.
Gabriel is more of a magic tank, she might not be that good against phys. Richard would be much better here.

All of them say that the translation is so bad that they can't understand what's going on in the story, and half of the complaints about Gabriel is about her awful voice, which makes them want to turn the sound off. It's kinda hilarious that they were asking if this game is getting Jap release so they can switch to Jap voice later.
I mean it's MTL with some little hand-made edits of some terminology and names, what can you expect. Idk about voices, seems ok for me, and I wouldn't go global to grind all shit again just for jap voice, but I hope kr will have offiicial english text at least.
It's funny that since the main story is fully voiced, they really have the VAs reading some nonsensical MTL scripts out loud.

No. I don't mean the crappy unofficial MTL English patch, the Korean translation itself is very bad, that's what the asiatic players have been complaining in the forum, they were even laughing at the VAs having to read such awful script. The game may launch in Korean language first but it's still a chink game, so the script was obviously in Chinese first.
I know that the game is chink but I didn't think they'll be that moronic not to hire korean writers or at least proofreaders. Well, at least that explains that even english mtl sucks ass, when usually it works pretty well with asian languages.

The local Langrisser neighborhood said their game also had awful MTL tier for global release so that's not really a good sight, no idea if they ever improved it later.

Langrisser indeed had barely comprehensible MTL at release. They switched to a legit schizo redditor from the community for a while after that, the translation became sensible at that point but he also put cringe ass memes everywhere. After the guy had a mental breakdown, they hired some actual chink sweatshop translator who does an okay job with translation. There's absolutely zero proofreading but everything makes sense, the real important stuff like skills is translated with some care, and occassionaly they even put some care into a few individual bits.
I would also expect them to put more effort into the global release than they did with Langrisser, which was their first global release IIRC. Archeland seems to be their big thing, they basically remade Kalpa of the Universe with a way bigger budget and what they consider to be a setting with a greater worldwide appeal to make a mark on the international stage. No idea what is going on with the asiatic release but it would be completely idiotic if they blew all of that investment to save a few dollars on translation.
asiatic is quite populated. We'll see when the dust settles, but they shouldn't take too long for global not to lose the momentum, or they'll need more marketing to retain the attention.

Upcoming new characters is one of the strongest dark caster in Kalpa (the twins in Archeland) and a frontline fire healer in Kalpa.
As long as the twins aren't nerfed in any manner, they are a must pull for everyone.

I guess ppl will say that about any new banner eh. Semi didn't feel that op in event stories, while Gabri feels pretty comfy (though she has the same problem as almost any tank except Richard which is a time gap when she doesn't have 2-square guard).
I don't think anyone said the same for Gabriel. She was underwhelming in all aspects. Semi was mentioned previously if she kept her Kalpa kit, which she didn't here so she's at best a PvE dealer for greens here. However, MC is going to be doing a better job at that than her at 55.
Well at least she's light, her only problem is guard gap and relatively low pdef. Atk is somewhat good bc of conversion. And debuff shield is neat. Not the best for all situations but quite a worthy pull for those who only have 1 main tank.
And yeah it's good starter characters are really strong late game. Although idk what exactly will make them that strong.
MC needs his level 55 passive skill to become good, but since lighting doesn't really have a lot of good damage dealer for now you will have to stick with him for a while.
Belet only needs her level 45 passive, combines with her huge stats making her one of the best tank in game even at SR.
Avia is probably your best single target healer/buffer atm, assuming you didn't roll for Claphare.

Idk Capet does fine for me, crits rather often, has both magic and phys attacks, buffs atk.
People metacuck way too hard in this game. The difference between SSR damage dealers is ~150 attack at most. 99% of abilities deal standardized 1.5x damage, maybe 1.6x for an ultimate. People call Capet "bottom tier" or "dogshit" but there's literally nothing wrong with her, at most she's doing like 5% less damage than a supposed "top-tier". Hell, Capet actually has more attack than Semi.
People call Capet "bottom tier" because her direct comparison is with the MC. If you wanna compare Capet to Semi, look at their skills and you'll realise she's still weaker than Semi. Semi's character passive alone is leagues ahead of Capet, ontop of her buff skill that grants an additional turn and debuffing the enemy makes her a better combatant than Capet as well.

What's the point in that if one of those 2 turns can't be attacking? It's just covering more distance. Might as well just have a usual attack skill which gives 1 dodge pre-battle. And distance-wise there is still Clarice who also ggts dodge after dash.
What? That skill opens her up to being able to dive into a pack of 2 or 3, marking one, and killing another outright and only taking 1 hit out of the pack. On bosses, it's a straight up advantage that lets her hit harder, evades the first hit and remain at full hp. What content are you comparing her with Clarice with, you do know elemental advantage is a thing right? So far we had been keeping it in line with green/lightning characters, and now you're putting Clarice (a red/fire character) into the comparison.
Semi doesn't really do more damage than other characters. 20% more damage for 2 turns isnt that much better than a passive 10-15% damage boost that other characters have, and her attack is lower than every Warrior as well. She's still good because of her dodges, sure, but she doesn't really do more damage than your typical SSR attacker.
She does more than Capet in water rune (45) and armor material boss (45) for me. I have both characters equally invested other than Semi having her unique weapon and Capet using a max rank SR axe.
How long were the fights? Capet takes some time to ramp up her passive. There's also the issue where if you run the AoE attack buff on Capet, it will lower her personal damage.
People were looking too deep into her hybrid aspect instead of just ignoring her sub par magic build and just go with normal physical unga bunga build.
Also since she was given out for free there's obviously a lot of seething when people got spook by her in gacha.
So far semi actually outdamaging my charlotte with same rune setup, she bit squishy if she can't mark enemy
At very least gabriel have decent leader skill, and light make her bit versatile with no elemental weakness too

Referral event gives 20 pulls for free. I think they will keep that high income later. There's already a new dimension chapter which also means more gems and pulls. I t hink we're doing fine not to be too stressed about whether we should pull or save.

How are you supposed to save up any pulls when they are rapid-fire releasing 2 new characters every 3 weeks
i was lucky and got Semi in 60 pulls, and I still have nothing left.
Like in any gacha where you're not supposed to have everyone f2p? At least we don't need dupes and even EXes (though they're relatively easy to eventually get, and we can star-up them by universal stones, not just by their dupes).
Yeah I get that, but an average of 1 character every 1.5 weeks is still ridiculously fast. Most gacha games do 1 character a month or twp. Like, even dolphins will have trouble getting characters if we keep up this pace.
Idk, not counting starter banners, I got Claphare and lost 30/70 on Peawiener and got Ibn. Already have 50+ pulls (and 10 more waiting from 2 more twin accounts), and I'm already guaranteed the banner unit next time I pull an ssr. All f2p ofc. I'd say the pace is fine.

no, but they can only tank 1 or 2 hits but you can use them to aoe 80% of their hp in a 2x2 which does around 1k at lvl 43 / inflict random debuffs and cover in a 2x2 like a traditional tank

It's a gimmick boss with DPS checks if you use the leaves, vines and stems for the ritual items.

Boss has gigantic stats and my team simply can't do enough damage to it while it just 1 casually 1-2 shot my chars, even without those shitty ass gimmick they put on it, not having Semi certainly doesn't help either.
Are you at least level 45 with Lv20 runes on the atk pieces? That's preferably the minimum you should be attempting it at. You can even bring 5 DPS if they can all survive a counter hit and rely on the boss healing you at every 25% done from his gimmick.
I did it with Claphare, MC, Capet, Charlotte and Lina at 45 with Lv20 runes on 1 and 4 for the DPSers. Lina was the trickiest to survive a counter hit on since she's so squishy as a mage, I had to swap a HP/DEF accessory to her instead of her usual MATK one.
All my runes are only level 15 at best since they eat too much powder to level up, guess it's another week of grinding rune bosses for I try it again.
Looking over the class academy thing, looks like a bulk of the stat points are in there. The drop rates for the tier1 mat is so garbage and the lower levels need so many of it.

God upgraded alot of my runes from 15 to 20 today and I'm out of gold before I ran out of powder. At least my main team of charas are averaging 2600 power now with the damage runes at 20.
It's gonna be tough until endgame when ppl finally can catch some breath. Luckily if it's the same as Langrisser, we won't get that many level cap increases, so we'll just amass resources at some point.
This is literally every game with a upgrading system. Once you reach a point you don't have to upgrade anything anymore, naturally you amass resource until the next material sink comes in.
Koreans complained so hard the devs caved and mentioned in the latest maintenance notes they will be giving 500k gold for now and coming up with a solution quickly for this.
They either have to reduce the amount of gold needed to upgrade stuff or increase the payout for various for various tasks in game. I don't know why they have this stupid gold sink in this early stage of the game, which completely frick over players progression.

Gold sure becomes a huge bottleneck after level 45. Upgrading runes costs shit ton of them and you don't really have a good and efficient way to gain gold right now.

You get character exclusive stones from leveling them, these stones are on the left in the talent tree window. Then you have all purpose stones that every character can use, these ones are on the right, you mostly get them from event reward or shop.
The main trio have their own unique stones so you don't have to worry about using them.

Do you get enough or do you have to make choices? Sounds like a one-way ticket to fricking up your character long-term if you cant get enough tof the "generic" stones
You should have enough to max out two characters with their own stones plus the generic ones for now, but for the rest you will have to pick which path you want to go (top or bottom), the middle path doesn't require any stones so it's usually the first path you have to max out first.
Eventually they will hand out enough stone but that will take a while.
Buy their pieces in friend shop, 10 pieces make 1 universal stone. We also get them from events. Ofc you won't be able to max all characters, but your key ones should have all branches upgraded, both for stats and for skill flexibility.

Dunno how it is in Kalpa, but in Langrisser, fixed damage has a solid niche for enemies with hugely inflated stats and usually yields far better damage in AOE situations, while percentage fixed damage is a meme because, as in every fricking game, everything you'd want to use it on is immune.

They are dragons of Langrisser. Without particular units devs had in mind to beat them they're quite an ass. Gladly everybody gets Charlotte which helps with probably the most important rune boss pretty easily

For SSR character skill trees, should I prioritize unlocking skills, or the % stat ups?
Always try to upgrade the middle path as far as you can since it doesn't require any skill stone.
Then pick the either top or bottom path, whichever has the level 45 skill you want to unlock first.
Depends on the skillset. Sometimes you want to unlock both 1st skills of each branch, and then go 1 of them to the end, but you won't be able to upgrade the last % stat upgrade (which gives a lot). Eventually tho every node should be upgraded. That's why it's recommended to buy out all 10 stone pieces per month in friendship shop.

Are Assassins (outside of Semi) dead weight or is it just me? I've tried using Clarice and Ibn but they can't even hit a boss without dying, and their damage isnt even better than a Warrior.
Except Semi because of her mark, assassins are pretty shit at fighting anything that they can't kill in 1-2 hits. And their damage isn't that great either if they can't crit reliably.
So yeah, they are quite a deadweight without heavy investments into equipment runes and academy upgrades to boost their stats.
They are suitable exactly for what their class name implies - picking off lone targets (and often having more resist/dmg/both for that) and reaching far and tough spots. I think its possible to level them up so they don't die in 1 hit at least, after that tanks and vampire runes will save them. Also dodges, though Ibn lacks any (he has 30% dmg res after his jump tho). And their dmg is ok, they crit more often. Clarice carried so many tough achievements like nobody could.
Also the fact that somebody can't even tank 1 hit from boss will be more and more common the further we go. Entire dances around bosses like in Langrisser when only 1-2 units can tank a hit, and others just have to either heal/buff or just wait until boss is stunned will be a routine soon if not already.

Pretty good, there wasn't a lot of stuff to do in those expeditions aside from the daily character orbs.
Challenging tower is absolute cancer. Yeah lets only give us machines with some different properties and not actual buffs like in daily mode.
They give buff and debuff to whoever stand near it so challenge mode is about positioning your characters so they can get benefit from them, rather than just unga bunga like the daily.
Ye I know that. Some debuffs are just busted, especially fixed damage shit, which basically makes these barricades useless if you have more than 2 enemies attack your hero. Boulders are 1 time, only 1 cannon with long ass cds and for some reason also suffering from non-moving debuff (like duh, it can't move), oil doesn't do shit honestly. No wonder this challenge is only lv45 - even lv60 will not have ez time doing it.
I avoid picking anything with fixed damage, that shit is just gay, and 2nd most bullshit one is enemy archers immunity to melee damage, making them extremely hard to deal with since your mages will just melt in this mode. 40 was doable with my level 52 teams but I don't think I want to try 50 till I have a level 55 team or something. Most of the asiatic guides only go up to 40 clear so I think there aren't a lot people who can clear 50 yet.
Honestly I'd like to overcome debuffs like this, but when the game doesn't give comparable buffs and instead gives shit like "I'm gonna piss on you and you can choose what it will taste - lemon or strawberry" you kinda don't want to bother, at least past crucial rewards like pulls and gems

Dimensions are pretty good too, like at minimum you get 20 gems, but most of the time it's also 1 pull/30 gems/both for hard achievements and/or 1 pull/40 gems for pickup. That said I still can't do 5-4 hard (it's fricking bs) and still doing ch6 hard

Gabriel low phys def is pretty bad for this job.
Saw a guide video using mostly range characters, or character with 2 range attacks to quickly kill the daughter, then chip the dad with range attacks.
And yeah, the fabled DPS Avia build.
His Charlotte is a fricking monster with those stats. His is almost 1k power higher than mine at a lower level and I have decent lv20 runes on her.
Honestly if you kill daughter first the rest is quite ezpz, dad is mad af and doesn't even attack anybody on his path to marked character (who seems to be chosen based on % of total dealt to daughter, not on the fact of killing), so you just block him by other characters slowly chipping his hp out, and keeping the marked one away (with his 3-range spin in mind as well). So without that achievement when you kill him first, the stage is quite easily perfected.
Now that I have Catherine's ult skill, a ghost knight rune set would be fun to use, but farming that shit suck ass.

What opens up at 60? I'm only 55 and I've been playing since launch. Good thing the dailies rotation is so quick on this and they've added sweep to dog island so that's even gonna be quicker.
2 new modes in Aris Mamul hard section. But more importantly, we finally get a breath of fresh air and can chill gradually upgrading equips traits and runes until the eventual cap, and then can start saving resources for any new character we might pull.
The new Dog Isle is pretty nice, just pure unga bunga unlike the previous ones with all the shitty gimmick you have to clear. Also 3 skip per day plus 2 normal entries make it much faster to grind the tokens.
We probably get 1 more tier next month and that would be it for this mode, unless they begin to throw level 60+ missions at us.
New tier on normal also has ssr equips that you have a chance to get, but only once. And they have their copies in the shop, so easy 4 rank from the start for them.

Not really, the overall gold income from all sources are still the same, they only have gold as exchangeable item from shadow tower as a new temporary source, and they added 1 more zero for gold from login bonuses, which is way too slow to have any real effect.

He wasn't that great in Kalpa PvP, and he should be even worse here since Semi is Wind instead of Fire. I'd recommend skipping him unless you really like his design or really need his leader skill.

its something you use when you reach rank 10 friendship with a unit. idk what it does exactly, it probably isnt even implemented fully considering how the friendship system doesnt do anything at the moment.
Richard and Alicia have a special CG when you reach level 10 and invite them into your garden or something.

This is Kalpa's tier list from around the same time period as we are in now in Archeland. Jin is the brown hair bushy eyebrow guy in S tier, and Marg is the silver hair lady also in S tier.
And in SS tier from left to right we have Semi, Charlotte, Twins, (unreleased Assassin), Gabriel, and Claphare
The twins don't feel like they are that strong in Archeland, in fact I haven't seen anyone use them at all, at least in PVP.
I guess they're good with units like Kabir and Peawiener who are not used that much especially in pvp
You need to build your team around them or they won't be able to stun turn 1. They also need to be at rank 9 to become really good at debuffing. They're basically the same as in Kalpa, I think the only difference is their teleport was nerfed slightly.
New characters from datamining, not really a fan of those huge shoulder armor parts they randomly slap on the characters.

I am a top 100 ranked Sieg and he is legit the best character in the game for PvE. He can solo bosses when buffed. He's nothing special in PvP, though.

Charlotte just turns PVP into no fun allowed zone for fire characters.
On the other hand I haven't seen any Siegs that were as much invested as Harlotte, with close to 3k atk and over 1k defs. Bc everybody invests into her first. I'm sure equally geared Semi eats Harlottes on breakfast all the same, but I don't see it that often.
I don't see Semi a lot in PVP, feel like a lot people invested into Richard instead when they try to counter Charlotte.
An invested Sieg can tank a couple hits from Charlotte. He won't win in a 1v1, but he can tank her two-turn combo, then oneshot a squishy and lifesteal off that.

How important is Erica's unique weapon? Is she perfectly serviceable with just the SR or does the +1 range given by the unique weapon's effect actually make her busted?
I mean, it's better to have it than not to. You never know when it can come in handy. Not like other EXes provide that much compared
The +1 range makes her able to attack bosses and other enemies without being counterattacked. With it she's busted, without it she is just a generic, middle of the road archer.

You have to let him steal your buffs. I can't clear it either though, I think you need very specific characters, Capet being one of them. I can't brute force it with 24k power.
The boss's unique mechanic is that you need to make him steal 2+ buffs each turn. This gives him a stack of buff that increases his atk, and it stacks up to 5 times I think. When he reaches max stacks, the stacks are removed and he is given a -50% Def debuff and not able to gain stacks for 2 turns.
I managed to clear this fight by using Alicia and Gabriel, pumping the buffs onto Gabriel so he steals it on single hits, and move Gabriel away when his AoE targets her (it always target the highest defence). The other characters I used were Charlotte, Erika, Lina and MC. Charlotte and Lina are R6 while the other SSRs are just R3.
Characters with pollution debuff (Hassan, twins) are quite useful against this boss, let it steal your buffs first to give itself the def debuff, then gang on it, if you can't burst down the boss quickly then cast pollution debuff to give yourself 2 extra turns to finish it off before it can steal your buffs again.
Someone should make a new thread soon, this one won't last till we get the next patch note with new character banners.
