The Infinite and the Divine, Gaunts Ghosts, Eisenhorn, the first few Ciaphus Cain books (the series is really repetitive), Apocalypse and Helsreach are all very enjoyable.
I didn't either but I promise you will after you read the book. Its also somewhat of a horror/thriller/mystery book too and the sororitas is only one part of the book. The book follows about 4 different protagonists with the sororitas being the most prevalent but not by much. The writing is also pretty great.
You'll like it, it slows a down a bit in the middle but I think that adds to the read honestly. The writer's prose is far beyond what you'd expect for a fricking 40k novel too.
I also say you'll like sororitas because the author does a wonderful job of showing the more contemplative side of a religious zealot and how they'll ascribe meaning in the mundane. Its a far cry from the screaming moronic b***hes you that is ubiquitous.
Betrayer was a fun read the whole way through. While not required, it does benefit greatly from reading other HH books where its characters have a significant part.
The 2 White Scars books are great too.
Pariah, Penitent are quality reads. 3rd book when?
>I want a new edition of rogue trader
The release of Owlcat's Rogue Trader should spark interest in running Rogue Trader campaigns. Prepare to recruit in a couple weeks.
I was a fan of the new Dead Men Walking same way as I was a fan of the old Dead Men Walking
In other news, the Horror story collections have their peaks and valleys, with some interesting ideas but I dislike that the format is lazy and just bait.
Mystery series has some questionable choices, but is safe at the same time? That's an impression, I need to read more after I catch up since they decided to make some continuity between books, but it falls flat when you've started on the last one of the set.
I have the books but I have yet to read them. Path of the Dark Eldar is great though.
They are okay
They are basically about two stoners who befriend a chick who is writing poetry to recover from PTSD. A love triangle forms, they all get pissy at each other, and end up on radically different paths. None of the characters are really likeable, but it is kind of fun about reading about someone with the emotional maturity of a highschool emo kid buzzsawing their way through a bunch of human mooks.
It is mostly interesting just for the Eldar related worldbuilding though
So I had a painful, hard black bump on my ball sack. It hurt like hell and I was scared shitless thinking I had skin cancer. It exploded a few seconds ago and shot blood everywhere. Turns out I just got a blood blister on my balls. I am so relieved.
-t. Opening text of prostitute Is Heresy.
No.
8th edition actually started well with Dark Imperium.
Then they decided to retcon it for little to no reason. The few people who cared then stopped giving a shit.
For all the money and shilling for the DaWn oF fIrE series, it's been a wet fart. The Horus Heresy series at least had a few NY Times best sellers; this one has jack shit.
No

How new is new.
are any 40k books good
I liked the old Eisenhorn books but I'm a gigantic homosexual so ymmv
The Infinite and the Divine, Gaunts Ghosts, Eisenhorn, the first few Ciaphus Cain books (the series is really repetitive), Apocalypse and Helsreach are all very enjoyable.
Betrayer too. It's probably the only good HH book.
requiem infernal
sell me on this. I don't like sororitas.

Are there any new books where the tau get curbstomped good?
I used to like them as a faction, but their fanbase on /tg/ is so annoying that now I look forward to seeing them lose
