I swear Zoomers are the only ones who truly disagree because they never got to experience CRT TV's and spending hours playing with your siblings or neighbors figuring out shit without the internet.
CRT filters are a necessary thing, since those games were made to be played on a screen like that. This only applies to old games tho, making a game in current year that requires a filter is forced soul.
Even real hardware is measured as having some delay. All you have to do is beat it

Move the goalposts much?
It's not a cheat in the traditional sense, it's just the mechanism for lowering the input lag

I just linked what I found first
You can do whatever research on whatever site you want. Less than hardware is a thing now. Your obsolete technology has finally been replaced
>we claim to not be reddit
>we also force this shit
This site has been reddit central for at least a decade if not longer
The only forced thing here is the sex I have with your mother
Sharp Pixels are sovl

Yes. It's impossible to emulate the real CRT experience with software on a flat LCD monitor. You just can't.
You can get an even better experience on a 4K OLED
There's no reason to own an actual CRT anymore, and I say this as someone who used to have 2 WEGAs
>There's no reason to own an actual CRT anymore
input lag
You can get less-than-hardware with retroarch and a good OLED
Again, no reason for CRTs anymore
>You can get less-than-hardware
bullshit, that's literally impossible

Ghosting
anyone know the name of that third filter?
Vaseline.
I hate this fricking meme and all the tards pushing it
crt filters are cringe but handheld filters are based
Yeah, trying to emulate an analog device on an LCD is kinda stupid. But trying to replicate another LCD on an LCD is more realistic.
CRTs and LCDs are like water and oil. Too fricking different so why bother?
right looks the best
Its not the bad kind, it lets you experience the game closer to the original
CRT filters look like shit 100% of the time and I can only assume the people who defend them have never actually seen a CRTV in their short lives.
Stuff that boomers might like aka on one who actually plays emulated games
CRT filters are trying too hard. Just enjoy spritework where you can get it these days.
They're the definition of soulless.
Anyone who uses the term "CRT" to mean anything other than a literal cathode-ray tube is a moron.
I can live without the mask. Composite filter works well enough.
