Are either (or both) Super Mario World or Super Mario Bros. 3 comparable to Wonder on quality and/or impact at this point?

World > 3 > 1 > Wonder
Wonder is way too easy, has too few bonus levels and the OST sucks.
You'd think they'd make it more difficult to try to distance itself more from NSMB, but I guess not. They managed to make it even easier.
>You'd think they'd make it more difficult to try to distance itself
Going to rephrase it to "you'd think they'd make the game more difficult" just for clarity.
I hate how bland the OSTs are. Also the wonder's effects are way too random, it is ike a mini-game inside of mario game.
>Wonder is way too easy
post badge marathon clear
3 has better level design than Wonder. Wonder is too themepark-y. It feels more like Yoshi's Island than Mario.
World soulmogs both, of course.
I havent picked up Wonder yet, but from what it looks like, it seems like Super NSMB if that makes any sense. At it's core, it's NSMB again, but with hints of Yoshi's Island.
I'll see when I eventually get the game, but from the outside in, that's the vibe I'm getting.
world sucks and 3 is too hard to make a lot of progress and neither have online
wonder is better
>neither have online
frfr those games hella sus on god no cap
How the frick do you get filtered by mario 3? Half the games levels aren't longer than 30 seconds.
He was baiting, but there really are people that grew up with NSMB, so games like the original SMB on NES, SMB3 and even World would be too much for them. I wouldn't even mention "The Lost Levels" (i.e the real SMB2) since that one would be destroyed if it came out today for being way too hard.
I can beat 3 with 99 lives without using any P Wings or shortcuts and really no practice either. haven't played it in years and I can guarantee you I can 99 life run it right fricking now.
You say that, but keep in mind that, if you've been playing modern games for those years you hadn't played 3, you're going to suddenly feel like it's harder than you remember.
I can literally beat Mario 3 in my sleep because I've played it more than any other game in existence.
This is me except with Mario 64. That and Sonic 3 are both games that I probably could have been a damn good speed runner on if I stuck with them or had a desire to be a speed runner.
Wonder is what NSMB should've been in the first place, but still is a bit too easy.
World > 3 > Wonder > The rest in whatever order
Rate them
NTA, but personally
SMB3 > SMB 1 > World > the rest
Forgot to mention Mario Land
SMB3 > SMB1 > Mario Land 1 > World > the rest
>mario land
it's got some charm but the specific way they 'demaked' the physics of the nes games was terrible, feels like you're controlling mario with an etch a sketch.
how the frick can you think mario land is better than world
fricking contrarian mong
3 > land1 > world > brosU > wonder > 2
>Mario Land 1
Frick this game. Looks and feels like something from the Atari 2600
Don't forget super mario 3d land
3 > 1 > 2 > Land 2 >Land > world > Bros 2/lost levels >>>>>>slop
Still haven't played wonder because I'm not paying full price for nintendo shit when black friday and christmas are around the corner.
I didn't have an snes growing up so I never got to play world. I did watch the cartoon though and I played 3 a lot.
Do you have NSO or a PC for emulation? Either option has SMW on it. The only 2D Mario better, to me, is Super Mario Bros. 3, but both are well worth playing.
Wonder is just a dopamine button. I'll take old level design over eating spoonfuls of sugar to artificially make you feel like a game is great. Wonder is the kind of game you get when practically the whole world is addicted to smartphones. Happy? Honestly been playing more old arcade games now. Honest game design trumps whatever this new shit is.
World was rushed and it shows. Level design is way too basic. There's a lot of ROMhacks that feel like they should have been the official "16-bit Mario"
3 had the biggest impact on gaming overall—it was the first major video game sequel to be something more than just "new levels in the same engine". It changed the entire concept of how video game franchises worked.
Also The Wizard Movie where people played it in competition
>world 3 of wonder
>no castle, no boss, no airship
>get to world 4
>one of the wonder effects is "time slows down"
>play another level
>the wonder effect is "time speeds up"
oh no, it's frontloaded
you are dumb
???
3 is peak 10/10 masterpiece beyond all comprehension. when someone tells you nothing's perfect, they are full of it because Super Mario Bros 3 exists. World is close and Wonder is close but neither are perfect. Super Mario 3 is a PERFECT game, is has no flaws. There are others like it, for example Tetris for Game Boy.
3 is probably the greatest game ever made so it mogs the shit out of the rest. Wonder is around World level though both have cool ideas but fail to live up to 3
Nothing will beat Mario 3 to me but wonder is definitely more memorable to me than any of the New Super Mario games
They're good games, but 3 easily has the most impact. It cemented Mario as a legendary franchise. World is fine, but way too easy. Wonder is better, but could've used more pure platforming levels instead of baby easy filler Break Time levels. So 3 remains king.
Mario 3 and World were directed by Takashi Tezuka, the single greatest game director in the industry.
They are the best platform games ever made.
Wonder is a b-team stop-gap game made up from leftover assets of old wii games while the real team are off making the follow up to Odyssey.
I'm enjoying Wonder so far, but goddamn these "search party" levels are obnoxious
Even with recency bias, SMB3 and SMW are better
If you played one of them, theres no need to play the others
DLC and a sequel when?
>3 was one of the best NES games and 2d platformers ever made, that literally everyone played and defined a genre for a generation. Had a lasting impact.
>World was a launch game for the hyped up SNES that stuck around for a while but fell from grace as soon as Sonic showed up, it didn't manage to be the best platformer in it's generation.
>Wonder is about ten minutes old, it hasn't had any impact other than iterating on shit that 3 and World set as standards for the genre and being a bit more interesting than the souless NSMBs.
