I rarely have new indies grab my attention, and the ones that do now are from devs with an established history or series. I'm just bored with the craft, I feel like there are too many people and too few ideas.

On one hand, I refuse to play anything that so blatantly tries to be HK or a game in early access that will never leave it.
On the other hand, in both cases I feel like the concept isn't inherently bad. I'd rather have "clones" that vaguely resemble another game but with many twists that turn them into something else entirely than actual clones that end up becoming an entire genre of something-likes.

This game looks VERY trans-coded, a lot to unpack here.
Hoping it improves considerably between now and release. Demo was fine I guess. Liked devolving into a hat to get to higher places. More of that and polishing the movement/combat and it's golden.
Also could take or leave the townbuilding/mat-farming.
I got softlocked in the demo, looking forward to it regardless.

I haven't played any AAA game in past 3 years and i am not a tendie pokelover, and i believe that i have a decent taste.
My dream game would be a large scale vehicular strategy (see: highfleet) in a unique setting (underwater, dune, orbit of a gas giant), where you have to manage your crew and vehicles (see: ftl) with an extensive customization system and free economical model (see: endless sky), focus on exploration (see:starsector). Bonus points if it's immersive and has first person perspective (see: carrier command 2) so i could see my heavy artillery plummet the enemy half a hundred miles away personally.
Or just a good game about exploration. I am not picky, the more unique and interesting - the better.
