Forklift certification is cheap and easy to get. That said, most companies want operators with actual experience behind the wheel of one. Putting a moron who just passed the certification but has almost no experience behind the wheel of what's basically a go-kart with a thick steel fork mounted to the front capable of spearing a man is kind of a liability
