Wario Land games were good because there wasn't really anything like them at the time. The devs were making things up as they went and happened upon a good combination of things that were fun to play incidentally. This is what actual soul looks like - they weren't trying to make Wario Land because there was a template for it, they just made something and arrived at Wario Land along the way. The reason we haven't seen a new Wario Land is clearly because there's nothing left to dev from the soul there - what we got was "pure" Wario Land, and any subsequent iterations would not be from the devs' hearts.
Pizza Tower is literally template after template stacked upon each other because someone wanted "more Wario Land" which, again, is something that has no further iteration that can genuinely improve it.
Now, I hope you Understand Miyamoto-san's obsession with making only games/sequels that have true innovation potential, and why you'll never see that F-Zero GX sequel you want so badly. To make something like that would automatically invalidate it from having soul, because people would be trying too hard to make F-Zero GX again rather than creating from the heart.

I don't think people are pretending to enjoy the game but I suspect there are a substantial amount of morons (like me) who like the art and humor but aren't autistic about the actual core of the game which is replaying levels to memorize the layouts and go fast.
the problem with these games for me is the lack of RNG, it's fun to replay levels and master the tricks so that you can cruise through it but it's not fun when everything is always the same and it's just memorizing what buttons to press in what order
