In fact I think that I'd actually wouldn't hurt the series at all to have a soft reboot in the current year because quite frankly most people really aren't that attached to her as a character and don't really know anything about her since it's been years since the last non nuLara game. Like it would have had to have been like around the 360 era, right? At least that's the last time that I remember seeing the old version of her.
I get the not everybody is into the idea of a soft reboot, but on the same hand you have a chance to establish her as a lot more of a relatable and a lot more of a badass character if you take her story from the beginning and work it up to a point where she becomes the character that we see as an absolute badass.
