i thought S2 was better than S1. less platforming, less backtracking, more forgiving checkpoints.

      Original 2 mogs Sigma 2.

Less enemies that are less aggressive, less varied and in larger stages, less weapons, health that recovers every 5 secs. S2 is easier and blander than S1.

Also, do yourself a favor and play the Black mod of S2 on PC. That's what that game should've been.

If you are interested in playing Ninja Gaiden and want the best experience with the IP, then take heed; avoid Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 and Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge. Ninja Gaiden Sigma is inferior to Ninja Gaiden Black, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 is a censored, dumbed down, downgraded abomination and Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge is a piece of shit because the foundation of the game is Ninja Gaiden 3 which attempted to betray the IP and become an interactive movie experience. There will be trolls, platform fanboys and shitposters who will make bait comments denying these facts, do not engage with them.

    What are your options?
    1. Play Ninja Gaiden Black and Ninja Gaiden II via Xbox backwards compatibility; Xbox One X (almost 4K 60fps), Xbox Series S (1440p 60fps) or Xbox Series X (4K 60fps).
    2. Go for emulation on PC (Pic related shows how to get ISO files).

No need, Team Ninja is already making NG4, that is why they port this collection in the first place.

Razor's Edge is absolutely worth playing if you enjoy the rest of the series

It's worth trying but some parts of it are actually misserable, like the final boss

Could you tell me what are the differences between Sigma, Black and Original?
Without sounding like a b***h like . Appreciate the effort for the links, but besides "ugh this collection is trash" I don't get anything from post like these.

Too many changes to list. Sigma is just worse, you can play them side by side and confirm this for yourself.

Literally just parroting. Sigma 1 changes are things like “added dual blades”, getting lunar slightly later, “lets you fight black samurai in the intro” or removing the bow puzzles and shortening the swimming sections.

Will parrot back “muh enemies” despite never having done a comparison between Sigma 1 and Black, or even having played both games, or have any comparison to point to.

Should i bother with sigma 2 and RE if i didnt like the first one that much?

Too much bullshit enemies, bosses, stunlocks, ranged attacks from offscreen, bad plataforming, etc

Just feels like the difficulty from this game was entirely artificial and not the good kind of difficult.

I thought Sigma 2 was slightly better because it did feel more fair (except for those bullshit ghost fish all the time). All of this is going off playing each game on its easiest difficulty because I just don't care, but Sigma 2 felt the most normal.

      Also it introduced Momiji.

You played it on normal right? Because it's pissed easy if it's really "artificial difficulty".

Ninja Gaiden 2 is excellent. It's definitely less methodical than 1, more fast paced and about spraying blood and giblets everywhere. Don't play sugma edition though

    >entire playthrough is ruined

Welp, guess im skipping to Sigma 2.

The keycard to leave the military area? Yeah I encountered that glitch too, just reload your previous save and it should appear unless you really just backtracked and saved over your only save after it didn't drop

They can be depending on your taste, they focus more on the action side and add many more weapons and moves, though the vanilla version of 2 takes a different focus on hordes of enemies unlike the others. You're practically guaranteed to enjoy them all if you liked the first one, and if you got the MC which you likely did (and should have) you'll have two games to play through already.
