i only tried games in picrel but UFS is by far the best if you play alone, if you have a mate you can shittalk with is professional fishing quite nice but quite grindy do to it being an mmo. if you only frick around with carps, the catch carps and coarse isnt half bad if you can get used to the jank
The grind is almost unbearable tho, thats why asians love that game so much but i have to give the game this the bite rate is great but so is fishing sim and it isn't even half as much of a grindfest.
You can't have a good fishing simulator because you can't replicate the tactile feedback. The only type of fishing you can really replicate is trolling, trapping and maybe carp fishing. Just go download the GOG version of Dredge or play Sunless Sea if you want an aquatic game or play a hunting sim if you want an outdoor sitting and walking sim.
You can use a 4 wheeler and I think some parks might have a truck but I just walk everywhere when I'm doing each park's story. It's a pretty great hiking simulator and you really get to know the layout of the different parks after a while like you're a local.
I ask this all the time and I've come to the conclusion that there isn't a game that is anywhere near as good as going to the local stream and throwing some cast in for a couple hours. I just can't justify sitting at home playing a game about fishing when I can just go fishing.
I really love fishing. Can we make this a fishing thread?
I remember hearing other countries make fishing insanely expensive for whatever reason. I think I would pay the money even though its a lot. Are you allowed to fish anywhere? I like to just find a wooded area and walk around for a while until I find a stream or a small pond. Get to see some cool animals too.
if its privatly owned, like under the ownership of a ranger/forester sorry donr know the exact translation, i have to speak to them and you can bet these frickers want money
That's annoying. I get what you're saying. Are there areas not run by those frickers with just like woods and shit that you can walk through and find a stream? I'm sure theres a way, I promise it's worth it.
>wooded area
Europe doesn't have any forests. They have some wooded areas but they are man made. Nothing is natural in Europe. It is an over developed hellscape. Not like in the US where you can walk 10 minutes in any direction and find untouched land and nature. God bless America.
Damn that sucks, never been out of US. Nothing beats walking a mile or two up a local stream and finding a nice little spot to catch some cool fish.

are there any actually good fishing games?
is pic related worth it?
If it's worth anything to anyone, Stardew Valley has a pretty good fishing system. Not super in depth because the main focus is farming and fricking Abigail, but I enjoyed it more than any other game i've played.
wait, i just bought UFS the other day cause i love comfy fishing simulators, you're telling me it's a fricking MMO?
>This was typed out with greasy Amerimutt hands using McDonalds wifi
Honestly, do they even teach geography in American school? Every one of you guys seem so fricking clueless about the world outside your own country. If its not in a fricking action movie, or on CNN/Fox news. To you guys, it might as well be happening on fricking Mars.
you can pull this here too sometimes you're lucky usually you dont and either the "waterpolice" showes up with a boat and checks your lizens or ranger/forester comes by and shits on your shit

its not bad just grindy as hell and full of asians
i just realised you miss understood me, you can play UFS in multiplayer but Professional Fishing Simulator is the mmo

finding a good hunting sim is even harder then finding a halfway decent fishingsim
Just play theHunter, it's as good as it's going to get unless someone makes theHunter but with bows that aren't worse than bows are in real life.
is that the one where you can frick around with a car/quad?
You can use a 4 wheeler and I think some parks might have a truck but I just walk everywhere when I'm doing each park's story. It's a pretty great hiking simulator and you really get to know the layout of the different parks after a while like you're a local.
what can you hunt? how is the costumization of the equipment
The only fishing game I;ve enjoyed or even played was Sega Bass Fishing on the Dreamcast.
I liked the fishing in RDR2.
anyone got experience with fishing xl? it looks kinda comfy
I ask this all the time and I've come to the conclusion that there isn't a game that is anywhere near as good as going to the local stream and throwing some cast in for a couple hours. I just can't justify sitting at home playing a game about fishing when I can just go fishing.

i play fishing games because i would have to pay 160€ per season for a loizens or go to a fishing park, which defeats the whole purpose.

there is but as i said in a nother post if the stream big enough waterway police will patrol and check if you are allowed to fish

>Stardew Valley
i played that with friends and all i ever did was fish and romance jodiher mod is pretty lewd tho and penny, good times
Sega Bass Fishing of course, the OG.
Holy shit I forgot that game. I played it on the wii. If I emulate it is it anywhere near as good, I would want to play that now
a few weeks ago it was free on steam the rating of the pc port is pretty good, i would guess an emulator can translate it pretty well
theres a port on steam and it's only £6, which i guess is like $8 in burger? but it goes super cheap when on sale.
also that DC aesthetic looks tasty as frick in native 1080p
thats not true germany, france, austria and switzerland have huge untouched forests

>t. martian fisherman and naturefriend
>His country makes him pay to fish
Lmao it's free here. Just find a river and go fish.
you can pull this here too sometimes you're lucky usually you dont and either the "waterpolice" showes up with a boat and checks your lizens or ranger/forester comes by and shits on your shit
sega bass fishing is fun, but it is an arcade game and as such is very hectic, which isn’t really what most people think about or want from fishing.
sbf is the shit, the ost is still on some of my playlist
>just missed some free giveaway for SBF at the beginning of the month
Damn if only this thread came sooner
they gave away 1000 copies, they were gone after 2 hours, i was unlucky aswell
Just go fish. There is water and fish everywhere. It is cozy. Get drunk and get casting, homosexual.
°o°
>icefishing
>#3/0 hook
>cutbait
home
the only good fishing games are minigames in other games that don't actually have anything to do with fishing.
which is a damn shame.
spearfishing in warframe was great but games focused on fishing are way more fun
try intergalactic fishing
the stats look interesting how indepth is it?
also any real species?
Wish they'd port wii fishing resort. I could emulate it, but I don't have the fishing controller.
