Are these games actually any good?
I felt pretty burned out after finishing Origins due to amount of side content and grinding.
How grind-y are Odyssey and Valhalla?

worse, especially snowBlack person one
Why do nordics make mutts and hispanics seethe?
If you thought Origins was grindy don't touch Odyssey and Valhalla you'll die of boredom.
Odyssey it's a pretty good RPG, terrible AC game though. Alexios is very likeable and hot and the gay sex is cool too. Story and characters are not so bad.
Valhalla is pure pure pure trash, you can tell it was made during COVID. Most conversations have no cutscenes and instead the camera stays in 3rd person like in World of Warcraft, reused animations, small boring empty world, trash side quests, the gay sex is fine but ehh since the characters are trash none are worth fricking.
Terrible bait and completely nonsensical.
>Are these games actually any good?
If you liked The Witcher 3? Yes.
If you didn't like The Witcher 3? No.
Do these games really have story and world building on the level of Witcher 3?
the answer to both of these questions is "no lol"
Will we never get this storytelling in an open world again from Ubisoft? Please Ubisoft, your open world is not the main character!!
>Do these games really have story and world building on the level of Witcher 3?
No, lol. It just looks and play like TW3.
It'd be better just to play witcher 3 again though tbh. I loved witcher 3 but the AC "rpgs" just feel like someone in the board room said "make this because the witcher 3 was popular". It has nothing of what actually made the witcher 3 enjoyable which was mainly atmospher, characters, lore, music and writing
They're worse, some of the most bloated games of all time
If you want a grind that's actually fun and worth your time, just go play Black Flag
Not really. Its just ubisofts soulless witcher 3 clone. I guess the Greece setting is cool and if you wanted a time sink and don't care about quality then I suppose it would be ok. The DLC for odyssey looked cool actually but I could never be fricked to progress far enough to unlock it. The gear system is awful too
I liked odyssey well enough but I haven't touched ass creed since 4.
Way too much bloat and time wasting shit. The level scaling is garbage and makes sure you never feel any progression because enemies will always be inside of 5 levels of you kind of ruining the whole point of the rpg elements.
I did just about everything with the dlc included and finished the game with 200+ hours.
I liked the game well enough, classical greece is a neat setting, but I don't think I'll touch another ass creed game for years because of how burnt out I felt from it all.
it's good if you've mindset for lots of content. i feel it's kinda for one who doesn't have that much time to play and wants something that he can play for long time. that way you don't get burned out and the game lasts long time
The Ezio saga was the best saga. Mirage is baiting me to come back, but will they deliver?
Never played any Assassin's Creed but literally the only one I've gotten recommended to me is Black Flag, because it's the one that's "the least like Assassin's Creed".
If origins burned you out don't even consider playing these especially vallhalla.
The one thing that made me stay far away from this series is the sci-fi stuff, which all sounds terrible.
Its barely relevant outside the framing device and occassionally the plot device macguffin.
Valhalla is one of the best game I have ever played, there are a plenty of side quest and world events, but they are very neat.
Odyssey is too large, and sprawling for its own good. I liked it but, there's so much of it.
Valhalla I would recommend, I have to imagine it's cheap enough to just try it out and see for yourself. I enjoyed each of the province stories, and each of the (self contained) expansions were good too. The France expansion had some pretty classic AC missions. Only things I remember that I didn't like about it was that everywhere looked very much the same as anywhere else, and that you very quickly become pretty OP in combat and it becomes trivial.
Ass Creed died with Desmond
1 > 2 = Rev > Bro > III
Honorable mention: Black Flag
>Are these games actually any good?
no, of course not
It's ubishit of the worst kind
No.
Kassie is the best part about odyssey.
Weird, I stabbed her in the throat in the last game
>video games
>burned out
sounds like you're doing Ubishit chores instead of having fun
Odyssey was fun
I was playing vallahala and stopped because I realized I didn't do the last odyssey DLC and it felt like a breath of fresh air going from Val to ody
I enjoyed odyssey's landscapes, especially the northern autumn forest that looks like riften and the little islands in the southeast with pretty colours.
i enjoyed valhalla's settings and how you can make the game really lethal by making PC and npc damage really high.
I didn't finish Od DLCS, and didn't finish VAL basegame. I would recommend the game to people who liked witcher 3 gameplay/combat.
Odyssey is ultimate test of patience and perseverance, there is A LOT of markers on the map, they are of the ubislop variant(climb a tree spin the camera, capture a fort, kill the leader yada yada
aside from that it is pretty conf game, sailing is great, combat has few different builds and sets that improve those
game gives a reason to explore in form of hunting down cult of conspirators
DLC is beyond moronic
tried Valhalla and combat was irredeemable bad, just spammy shit with going for it
Alexios is an actually fun protag and Kassandra makes a good unhinged antagonist. The environments of Odyssey are gorgeous and the map is huge (too huge) but sailing is comfy as hell and the various island ports and coastal villages are nice to explore.
Only thing is that Odyssey is fricking LONG if you do everything. Also there are parts of the main quest that have follow on effects in the latter part of the game as well as the DLC so be nice to Brasidas.
